"With being named for a soccer formation (4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards) and an eye-catching paint job out front, there’s no ambiguity about this little bar’s focus. It’s all soccer, all the time. Jerseys, scarves, and other memorabilia line the walls, and there’s always a game showing on TV. When the hometown Portland Timbers are on, the place is packed and raucous. If you cheer for the Green & Gold, the fans and owners alike will make you feel right at home. "Gol, a bar owned by amateur soccer player Peter Mahr, will replace the soccer-themed bar 4-2-2. Gol will maintain a soccer spirit but will also be a place for general socializing.
