Yelp
This is a review only of the hotel part of this business, the only part I interacted with - stayed a couple nights here for an event happening nearby on NYE. I always feel just a little weird giving star ratings to hotels, where unlike restaurants or most other consumer-facing businesses, rates vary *so* wildly, so while I don't feel like this hotel is remotely "worth" the over-$300 I paid per night to stay there... strip hotels that weekend would've all been at least that much *per* night, and with the event I was in Vegas for on the west side of the 15 anyway, it was more convenient/walking-friendly staying on that side anyway.
There is nothing really *majorly* wrong with this place - the room was large enough, had enough outlets, internet worked fine, it wasn't too noisy, and relatively clean... bed was a bit hard, but within normal bed-hardness standards, I didn't have any trouble sleeping on it. Checkin and checkout were perfectly quick and painless. And while it's not convenient to the strip by foot despite being right next to it (just across the freeway), it *is* fairly conveniently located for walking to Chinatown, so I just got to explore a new part of Vegas that trip. Overall, if I hadn't paid ~$300 a night + "resort" fees, I'd say it was perfectly adequate as a place to spend the night.
On the other hand, for the price I paid, I feel like they could've afforded better toilet paper, for instance? I also feel like I had a flare-up of allergies right when I walked in from dust from somewhere, but that resolved itself. The AC did work, though the frame was falling off the unit slightly, and it was pretty loud, with the occasional clunking noise. I also happened to get a room right in the path of the ENORMOUS bright video billboard playing across the street at The Palms, so by day, it was just an ugly view of the parking lot... by night, those blinds had to stay extremely closed, or it felt like daylight all night (they were decent enough blinds, at least, thankfully). I also feel the need to call out whoever decided to save money on shower installation by not bothering with a shower door? The immovable glass covering half the shower area in no way protected water from getting all over the bathroom floor every time I took a shower. I didn't have any issues with water temperature or pressure, though. (More importantly, I did not have any issues with *bed bugs*, being the main reason I stayed here and not at the hotel across from the event I was going to a mile and a half away, which had a number of yelp reviews mentioning them, compared to none here. :D)
