Excellent experience. Waiter was great, burgers were perfect. Onion rings were good, but an order only had 5 rings. Curly fries were cooked good and seemed like the oil had been changed recently. We would recommend this place.

Service and genuine welcoming warmth that lifted my spirits - but they burger was the main draw. This thing was bigger then the picture, flavored perfectly, cooked exactly as I ordered it but the real kicker was that every topping stayed on until the third to last bite. my only complaint is that I didn't order the heavier burger because I whooped it down so fast!

A Must-Try Local Gem in Pueblo Gold Dust Saloon stands out as a true local treasure in the heart of Pueblo, offering a refreshingly creative twist on classic comfort food. The menu is packed with distinctive options, but what truly sets this place apart is its green chile—available in both mild and hot, and both are absolutely phenomenal. As a green chile enthusiast, I was thrilled to see it featured so prominently across the menu. My personal favorite is The Slopper—a Pueblo staple done right here—rich, flavorful, and perfectly smothered in their signature chile. Pair it with a side of their sweet potato fries (which are crisp, golden, and just the right touch of sweet), and you’ve got a meal that hits every note. If you're in Pueblo and looking for a spot that blends local flavor with originality, Gold Dust Saloon should be at the very top of your list.

This has become a regular spot for me and my boyfriend. Their Baja fish taco special is my favorite thing right now! They have great drinks I've been really into their pickle bloody mary it's delicious 😋

We went to Gold Dust Saloon on a Monday afternoon around 2ish. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The decor was reminiscent of the past with modern updates and quality seating. We were seated without a wait time and offered drinks immediately. The draft selection is great! Tried a Scottish ale, a hazy IPA, and a blonde wheat ale. All were great, and local! We ordered the fried pickles to share as an appetizer. They were hot and delicious. SECRET HACK: Must get the DIABLO sauce for dipping. It’s spicy! But sooo tasty! They also have a green chili ranch which was fresh and so complimenting to the dill. I ordered the fried buttermilk chicken sandwich with curly fries - huge servings!! Saved at least half to take home. My partner ordered the mac and cheese slopper. Both entrees were exceptional on taste, presentation, and price! Yum! We ordered the boozy sundae as a dessert. The rich chocolate and creamy caramel were perfect pairing on top the vanilla bean ice cream. We will definitely return and recommend everyone to try this local spot in Pueblo!

Went on our anniversary, delicious! The patty melt was a bit greasy but still so good. The Philly was great and the Pork Belly was AMAZING! Absolutely will be back. Our server Jon was fantastic as well.

Yelp
I've been a customer for years. They always provide excellent service, and the food is always good. My favorite is the Pueblo Philly. Definitely a great spot for any occasion! Love this place.

Yelp
Despite the contradictory reviews, I couldn't even wait till after finishing our food. We went here for the first time for lunch and got their carne asada steak sandwich and the what a night burger. Both came out delicious and hot. Their baked potato soup was immaculate. And their chicken taco appetizer was pretty yummy too! Service wise they have done a fantastic job keeping up with us and our needs. We sat out in the porch and they have still gotten to us in a timely manner and our server, Savannah was very sweet and fun to have. Music was great as well! We even went as far as to order their dessert! Definitely a good lunch spot for us.

Yelp
I haven't been to Gold Dust in a while and heard they were under new ownership and figured we'd give it a try. Gold Dust has always been a great Pueblo staple so I've never personally had a poor experience, but after reading these reviews I was a bit skeptical. First things first I wish I would have taken photos because when our food came out I was shocked by the portion sizes - they were huge! We went mid-week for lunch and it wasn't too busy so we sat on the patio. We ordered our food and it came out really quick, in fact so quick the group next to us encouraged her friend to order after coming in late because she literally got her food within 5 minutes of ordering. We order fried pickles as appetizers and the only odd thing was there were 4 large pickles and a normal amount of smaller strips - in our opinion the smaller pickles were better so definitely should just stick with that! I ordered the 1/3 slopper and it was massive! I was shocked by how large the portions really were. The green chili was very flavorful, had some heat and was overall really good. It tasted a lot like how we make it at home :) I also got my fries smothered and they were equally smothered and good. I read some of the comments about the sloppers and didn't agree, and again wish I would have taken photos! Our group also got the Haystack Pork Belly Burger and that was shocking huge as well! It looked very tasty and the portions were great. Overall we had a good experience and everything was awesome -- definitely give it a chance and try out the food.

Yelp
I should have trusted my intuition walking into this place. It was completely empty, while other restaurants were bustling. And sure enough, I got violently ill from food poisoning as a result. There were so many warning signs, but the main thing I want to mention is the main course that got me sick, which was a new item--the steak salad. The seasoning was off, and the meat came out gray. I just trusted that they knew what they were doing, so that's on me. There was also hair in it that I didn't find until I was nearly done. The silverware wrapped in napkins was filthy and left dirt stains on the napkins. The beer samples did not taste like the larger glasses, so I'm not sure what that's about. The place is disgusting and I would not recommend eating here for health reasons. I ended up vomiting for seven straight hours, and could not even keep water down. I was bedridden for more than a day. It's just not worth the risk.

Yelp
Service and food was great, our server was amazing, making sure everyone was happy. All though the patio was reserved for the East Eagles Class of 1984 (40th ) reunion. Too bad the restrooms were a mess!! Leaves all over-the patio tables were dirty and ants all over! Bathrooms were filthy, pretty sad for a place we brought out of town too show case our town, sorry to the people that came. DK Moreno

Yelp
We dined here this evening because the Gold Dust had been rated 2nd best slopper in Pueblo. It was happy hour, so we ordered their 'happy hour' slopper. It's a quarter pounder, rather than the 1/3 or 1/2lb. regular menu choices. We were a bit disappointed as,we were expecting a more impressive slopper. Hence 4 stars We'd say the sloppers were competent, but unremarkable. Both sides of the bun were included, so the chili, cheese, and onion were on the top of the bun. That soaked up much of the chili, so it was difficult to actually get much chili. The burger was good. Curly fries on the side, partially smothered, were crispy because of a savory coating. A very good American pale ale was on tap. The venue is rather spartan. Plenty of staff. We arrived early on a Friday evening, so it may pick up later. There are open patios front and back, which shpul be nice in warm weather.

Yelp
The service was awful, had to get up multiple times to ask for refills, napkins and finally our ticket. Two bowls of green chili and a slopper took way to long to be served. I won't be back.

Yelp
The absolute worst restaurant I've ever been to! Started badly, we were not greeted and just had to find our own seats, then of course NO service. Had to go to the bar to get drinks....then tried to go to the bar to get food and was told HILARIOUSLY that a server would be with us shortly. Then we waited outside for a lifetime until I saw a server getting someone elses order and asked if he could take ours.....the food was ATROIOUS, frozen premade disgusting. The manager spent her entire time on her phone but when we finally got fed up with the horrible experience she managed to get her considerable weight up to run out and give us a check, with an attitude I should have called the police about. No one should ever eat here!! I don't have the vocabulary to tell you how bad this place is. Never go here, its terrible and especially the staff, its one thing to get bad food, its another for all the staff to be texting while you have to go to the bar to get food and drink, AND THEN get chastised for complaining. THE ABSOLUTE WORST, NEVER EAT HERE and the owners should fire the manger. Heres my number so the owner can call and apologise, 719 271 6754.

Yelp
We searched for a patio that allowed dogs. We found such a great place. The even had bowls of water for our pup. Food was good as well.

Yelp
Great food, mean waitress, but good food!! This is a must when in the Pueblo City area! I've been here several times.

Paula V.

Yelp
Don't even bother! We walked in and waited to be seated. No one came to seat us. There were a couple of tables with diners and all the rest were empty. That should have been our first clue. We left and I am glad we did.

Yelp
Great place for food and drinks. I love the atmosphere! The waitress was very helpful and efficient. The owner Mike is very friendly. I ordered the Double Thunder Humper Slopper and it's was very very good. A Slopper is a open face burger with fries, smothered in chili. The fries are thin, which I enjoyed because they were perfectly crisp. The green chili on top tasted really good. I'm surprised that this place are not famous for the Slopper because it was as good or better than other places that I have tried around town. I highly recommend this place to anyone that want to grab a bite and a drink while Downtown, just a minute walk from the famous Riverwalk.

Yelp
1st off, Corey did a great job taking care of us. Super pleasant and paid attention to us. Kudos! Out and about in Southern Colorado with our pooch. Yelp to find a dog friendly place. Stopped mid afternoon and sat on the front patio. Water bowls set out for their canine customers. Prices reasonable. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich that came with bacon & cheese. Yummy. Side was the mug of potato soup. Delicious and I recommend. Boss had the slopper burger with smothered fries. Mixed the hot & mild. Also delicious and enough for two meals. Overall a 4. Corey kicked it up to a 5. On our list for our next visit to Pueblo.

Yelp
Went in right Before chili fest and ordered a burger cooked medium with everything on it to go, when i got back to work to eat it, it had nothing on it, and was straight up rare. Called to tell them as i genuinely enjoy the food. Girl who answered was short with me, didn't really care, and told me a manager would call. Never happened. Foods decent most of the time, but i don't appreciate the response or the lying. Not for me.

Matthew B.

Yelp
I've been going to the Gold Dust for 20 years but I'm not going back anymore. They have recently decided to become a cabaret and the quality of the food has gone way down. What has always been a fresh, homemade menu is now no different from what you get in the frozen food section of the grocery store. I'd rather try the food truck at the fair that has no line. So sad what has happened to a place I used to love.

Yelp
Ate at the gold us today or should I say we took a nap at the Gold Dust today. We waited for our food close to 45 minutes for a burger and a French dip... Next time we will head to McAllister's! Did I mention we were the only table in the dining room at 3 pm it is now 5pm oh brother... I could have gone Grocery shopping for the amount I paid for 2 sandwiches 2 sodas and 2 desserts. Won't be back... and the waitress never offered us a refill on our drinks...

Yelp
This restaurant had been stellar pre-Covid. We came here once during the pandemic and it was a disaster. I chalked that off to the struggles finding employees, etc. I did not write reviews during the period since I did not think it fair given the circumstances. I also wondered in this case if the ownership had changed. We attended a party here conducted on this facility's back patio. About 60 people were in the group. The good: 1. Party area setup 2. Liquid refreshment of ice tea, lemonade, and ice water were easily accessible and constantly re-filled. 3. A four choice item menu was offered. 4. Ordering was done ad hoc so the food would be freshly cooked. The bad: 1.Only one wait person was assigned to attend to the party. 2. Although she worked her butt off once people ordered they mingled and she became confused as to who ordered what and started delivering the wrong dishes to whomever would take them. There was only less than half as many patrons inside being attended to by at least four employees including the owner/manager. The owner/manager was going around to the tables inside talking up those customers and the one table on the front patio. He showed up once for three minutes at the party only to talk up the host. Now look, an owner, I guess, can do whatever they want. But if you are not going to manage your restaurant hire someone who will. We ordered a grinder (a Pueblo Sicilian sausage sandwich) to split and were served a chicken sandwich. We bit into it before we realized the error so we ate it. The slopper (Pueblo's famous open faced hamburger with fries and green chili on top) and the grinder looked much, much better than the chicken sandwich that was pretty bad.

Yelp
I've been coming to the Golda saloon for years. The quality is never diminished the service has always been good and the beers are wonderful. It's a staple for me in my restaurant list. I encourage you to try everything that they have, I have! And it's all just spectacularly good.

Yelp
We tried this while in Pueblo over the weekend. My main reason for the low rating is that my husband is a pescatarian. He was very excited to try to your vegan slopper. However, after we all ordered, the server came back and said you had no vegan options. No vegan chili, no impossible burger. If you're going to offer vegan/vegetarian food on the menu, you should have it available. Super disappointing. He ended up getting the $15 fish and chips and said it tasted like frozen fish. My cheeseburger was fine, but overcooked. My kid liked her nuggets.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. Philly was delicious. The new Maui burger was too salty. I think they used either too much seasoning or sauce on the burger. Drinks were delicious. Pet friendly patio.

Josh G.

Yelp
Went in for a family dinner and the staff refused to allow us to move a table so that our 4 children all under the age of 7 could sit with us. The attitude we got from the staff when we asked to move a table was very unpleasant. Definitely will not be going back.

Moriah B.

Yelp
We had a huge group, last minute thing and weren't able to make reservations in advance. We were turned away at other places nearby. Gold Dust said come on in! They were short staffed so Corey the bartender was also our server. He was absolutely fabulous, straightforward, and made some damned good drinks. The atmosphere was great and the food was top notch. Will definitely go again.

Brandy D.

Yelp
All I can say that was a waste of money. Everything was pretty tasteless. Maybe the sauce had a taste but barely. Fry's where absolutely disappointing . The burgers where nasty not a fan of tasteless food! And I paid $5 for this tiny piece of brownie seriously $5 and it was horrible most of the food was thrown away could not eat it!

Yelp
Had a pretty great half pound burger at this joint and did some people watching on the patio. Prices were decent, service was more than attentive, and the patio is nice for people-watching.

Yelp
We had lunch today. We ordered about 2:00pm and didn't get our food did come till 2:50pm. I had a salad and ordered green chili and got potato soup. The soup was bland and the salad dressing wasn't good. The server brought me the green chili. It was not good. My husband had the Fiesta and he didn't like it. My friend ordered fries and they fries were not cooked enough. The server did her best but the food and cooks may need to be re-evaluated.

Yelp
I hosted a end of year party for teachers at Gold Dust. We wanted to sit outside and reserved the back patio. I originally estimated 70 people and set it up. We would have a taco bar and a drink ticket provided to each guest. As time drew near, our numbers changed and we ended up with 50 people. The day of the party, the weather was cold and rainy. Mike called me to see if I wanted to move it inside. He accommodated us and kept the other patrons happy. The food was great - Tim was in charge of our party -, the wait staff and bartender were attentive. This was the easiest party I have planned! Great job Gold Dust!
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
This place looked better in the pictures. The food was okay. We sat outside and our waitress didn't seem like she wanted to be there came out once and never offered refills. We had to go in once to ask for our check. The food wasn't that great. The kid meal chicken nuggets looked like frozen chicken nuggets and for $5.25 with No drink is just a little ridiculous. The Chile cheese fries were good. But the cheeseburger with "blue cheese" and pepper jack was odd. My husband was very disappointed in his meal. I don't think we plan on visiting this place any time soon.
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
Daisy was our server --she's a . Attentive, great service, plus lots of flavors for the bottomless mimosas. Perfect place to chill and enjoy Sunday funday

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Giving it two stars for the quick service alone, food was absolute garbage. We got the "caprese" salad (pretty sure they have no idea what goes into that), and the Pueblo cheesesteak. Don't waste your money..

Yelp
Great find! This place was a life saver on a rainy Thursday night in Pueblo. The food was delicious- highly recommend the grilled cheese with chili. And on top of a great menu, the service was amazing. Ryan was the absolute best. He gave us suggestions on places to visit in Pueblo and we swapped some travel stories and even a few drink recipes. The conversation and friendliness made us feel like we were locals. Perfect way to end our trip in Colorado. Looking forward to stopping in again soon!!

Yelp

Yelp
Love this place . $2.00 PBR all day $1.00 to add bacon to a burger. Fries are kick ass too. Also love this place as it is where my first date was with my wife of 17 years. Go here... it's good

Kathy C.

Yelp
Food not worth the price...$16-17$ for a dried up burger is ridiculous, You must not be from Pueblo because that is not Green Chili.

Yelp
I played Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac 20 times in a row on the Jukebox and was awarded free peanuts. It was dope! Until next time ese!

Yelp
Right in the middle of a section of this old steel town of historic buildings and shops. Close to downtown and the new River Walk. A great place for a gathering of old friends. Relaxing, comfy and welcoming. There is a wonderful small covered patio right on the street-front and a large covered patio in the back. The menus look like they've been around since the Gold Dust Days, but the burgers and fries were mouthwatering and piled high. And any saloon that has my beloved Guinness in a bottle, gets an A+ from me. . . . . especially, if they are on the other side of the pond and out in what I've always felt was the middle of nowhere. Old steel town, but they know how to treat a visitor.

Yelp
So my wife n I came out for a nice night. Then we wound up here. The "super cheeseburger " listed at $10.00 left me wondering where the beef is? Seriously it had more veggies then meat! I returned it and thanked the staff but no I wasn't going to ask for more. My wife had the phillicheesesteak which was better but still not worth the high price. I will say the green chili soup was good but we will not be returning. This bar & grill is going for high prices and poor quality. Not a great business plan.

Yelp
A really nice spot to meet up with friends in a historic building and atmosphere. I came here on a weeknight with a private party that met on the patio. There was a delicious taco bar for us, and it came with all the fixin's! Gold Dust Saloon is certainly on my list of places to come to the next time I'm in Pueblo, as I can't wait to try out their famous "slopper!"

J B.

Yelp
SERVICE: It's been a while since I have eaten at the Gold Dust Saloon. We went for brunch today, and as we walked in, the owner stood there talking to someone, completely ignoring us. We had to ask if we were supposed to seat our selves. Soon after we sat down our server, Autriana came by with a smile and took our drink order. She was prompt in accommodating my food allergies and her customer service was almost excellent. However, she served me coffee without silverware. Her and Travis (the other server) were tag teaming the whole time while the owner stood behind the bar doing absolutely nothing but talking to those at the bar. The phone rand, he didn't answer it. Drinks needed to be made, he didn't help with those either. When we left, the owner looked right at us and didn't thank us for coming, ask about our meal, or say goodbye. FOOD: We ordered the special, bacon burgers with cream cheese and green chili. It looked so good we couldn't wait to dive in.Unfortunately, we should have taken salt, pepper, and spices with us, because there surely weren't any in our food. You know it's bland, when all the flavor on the plate is coming from the catsup for the fries. The meat was juicy, but NO FLAVOR. The fries were perfectly cooked, but NO FLAVOR. OVERVIEW: Not worth the trouble. The only good thing I can say is that someone else should hire Autriana and Travis and take them away from there. Food is all reasonably priced. However, they should up the prices and buy some spices, because the food was SUB PAR. Too bad.

Aaron E.

Yelp
Good sloppers and a nice patio. Lots of outdoor seating and an upstairs area for bigger groups.
google avatar

Amy O.

Yelp
Not the best. Very few vegetarian options or substitutes. Place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Waitress didn't seem too happy to be spending part of her evening with us.
google avatar

Shelley S.

Yelp
The food was gross. Chicken salad was drenched in mayo and full of eggs. Appetizers, sandwiches, even salads, all the epitome of unhealthy.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Terrible service. Everything was fine at first...then after ordering with our waitress, we never saw her again. She never once came back to check on the table. My husband wanted to get a glass of water to add to his tea and for 30 mins we looked around trying to spot our waitress and NOT ONE OTHER WAITER OR WAITRESS ASKED IF WE NEEDED HELP. We let it go until our food got to the table..When our food got to the table, both plates were wrong. Simple requests - no onions,or peppers on a sandwhich, no tomatoes, add bacon on a burger. NOTHING WAS CORRECT!I cannot believe this, especially with the stars it has. We ended up leaving when the second plate was wrong. So unacceptable.

Steve R.

Yelp
45 minutes for a soup and sandwiches. CMON! Hire some People!! Why is it every restaurant is hell bent on terrible service? Food was average. Like Arby's.
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
Food was cold and service was lacking. Cook brought our meals and I had to stare down our server to get a simple correction made.... never asked how anything was (it was pretty gross) I've never left less than a 40% tip in my life but I left 15 here. Spent an hour choosing a location to eat at from all the cute little places near the river walk and now I feel I've been cheated out of a good meal.

Jackie C.

Yelp
I tried the bourbon burger with their fries. The food was phenomenal and there was great service. I'll be back 100%.
google avatar

Becky H.

Yelp
Slopper and frys are a favorite here. Reasonable pricing. One person waited, bartended and bussed. She handled all well. Could get pictures of our meals to post

Yelp
We got there on Memorial Day at 1. We ordered two beers and two burgers. Service stunk. Owner and his wife came in about 2. Didn't help at all with the backup. They just left. We finally got our food an hour and a half later. The green chili on the thunder humper full of flour chunks. So much cumin in it you couldn't even taste the chili. They don't offer to bring peanuts or popcorn anymore either. Service has gone down hill since new owners.
