This was an excellent museum. The entrance fee is also only 5000 pesos. Just the treasures that they had there were incredibly impressive. There should be a little more information about the dates of the pieces but I was also just happy to look at the items and be taken in by their magic. They also had an immersive experience that lit up a circular wall of jewelry. I got shivers thinking of all the people that the pieces belonged to. They also have a store were you can buy gold plated replicas of some of the jewelry. All in all a really beautiful place to visit.

Much richer than expected. The museum offers a wide range of well-presented exhibits, with clear explanations through both the audio guide and display texts. I took a slow, thorough walk through and spent about 6 hours. Highlights: 1) gold and other metalworking techniques; 2) artifacts and decorations from different regions of Colombia; 3) offerings and their ritual significance. A deeply rewarding visit.

Museo d'Oro was mighty impressive. All the indigenous art that's preserved is just astonishing. The way the tribes looked at life as a harmony between earth and the skies makes you wonder when we'll return to the equilibrium. Thank you for good English explanations.

Amazing place and I would 100% recommend. Very clean, organized and well planned exhibits. So much to see and learn here and I was also surprised to find out that most of the exhibits have English descriptions adjacent to each piece. Beautiful relics and unique pieces. The museum has a cafe and gift shop inside as well. Lots to do afterwards in the immediate area such as shopping and dining.

We visited this museum while exploring Bogotá. We visited during a weekend and there was a line in front of the building. It took about 10 minutes to get in. The entrance fee is quite low. The museum itself is quite big with multiple floors. Most information is in Spanish and English. When we visited it was quite busy and sometimes there were too many people to properly enjoy the collections. However, there were many impressive artefacts and we were glad we saw them to better understand Colombian history and culture. There is also a gift shop and a coffee shop in the basement. This is a perfect place to visit on a rainy day.

Just great! A well organised exhibition of the amazing collection of artifacts with an amazing historical and cultural value for Colombia. This is an experience you don't want to miss when in Bogota. The museum is amazing, you can also find a gift store and a cafe inside. I highly recommend it.

Bogotá's iconic museum. Here you'll find some of the country's finest historical finds. The museum is located in the historic center, so if you're not staying there, you'll have plenty of time for a tour after.

The display of pre-Columbian artifacts is truly world class. Having visited both the Gold Museum of Peru and the National Museum of Anthropology (Museo Nacional de Antropologia) in Mexico City, this better than both those museums. The layout of the facility and the flow of the displays give you a great perspective of the timeline of the development and cultural significance of the collection. The facility is very modern with both Spanish and English signage. There are tours available in both languages as well as an audio guide. The restaurant on the first floor was excellent and reasonably priced.
