I have used Gold Rush Vinyl for almost 10 projects. Gatefolds, colored vinyl, regular jackets, inserts, multiple shipments, they have done them all for me, all at competitive prices! Super friendly and knowledgeable people.

I really hate leaving this review but feel it's necessary because being an independent artist is challenging enough without issues like this on top. It actually feels devastating after all the energy it takes to make a vinyl package. I hope I am an outlier in my experience with Gold Rush. I was so excited to support a woman owned company that presses in Texas! I would have been thrilled to send them business and sing their praises. The customer service aspect was stellar during the manufacture process. No complaints there. But the product leaves a lot to be desired. The hole punches in the center of the record are jagged, the center labels have bubbles underneath, my pure white vinyl has brown parts from whatever was on the press before them so it looks like the vinyl is dirty, the inner sleeve is flimsy and looks rumpled and crinkled, and there are issues with how the jacket was glued together in about 65% of the product. The sloppy glue job creates a a gap between the top and bottom and bulge inside the gatefold. These jackets are un-sellable. The fold in the center of the gatefold looks jagged and crunched and not smooth. And there are other issues but you get the picture. I can only sell 35% of the 500 that I pressed. Fortunately the vinyl itself sounds great(hallelujah!) so I can get jackets reprinted and replace the inner sleeves, but the whole thing is just super disappointing. I gave them ample opportunity to take some responsibility, but they say these issues came from me storing the vinyl for several months in a climate control storage unit and they bear zero responsibility. They stand by this product as being representative of their company. They said no one has complained about the inner sleeves before. The owner made no attempt to reach out to me to try to work something out. I really wish my experience with them had been great.

I love this treasured place. I've had the luxury of going with Gold Rush to press two out of the 3 full length albums my band did and they did a ridiculously good job. Amazing. The attention to detail, the quality, the entire pre-production process to final was great. Being a girl dad, I also love the fact that this is a woman owned, woman run business! I want to keep writing music and recording just so I have an excuse to get another album pressed by them. Y'all are awesome. Keep rockin!

This is the second vinyl 7-inch record I've made through Gold Rush Vinyl in a two year period. I prefer to do as much work in house by hand as possible such as album art, labeling, and packaging. Pressing the actual vinyl myself is the one thing I can't do. Gold Rush Vinyl has been solid and gets the job done for me.

2025 UPDATE: I believe in second chances (and I also desperately want a local record manufacturer). So, after seeing that Gold Rush replaced a lot of their staff, and hearing from other customers that things had improved, I've started working with them again and things have been waaaay better over roughly half a dozen projects: vinyl quality has been great, turnaround times have been good, and communication has improved 1000%. Old review below. Here's to fresh starts! ---- After a couple years of inconsistent experiences (2 orders were flawless, 2 were solid product but extremely late), we are now having the same experience as Russell Brown on our current vinyl order. The original estimate was for 8 weeks, and we are on week 20!! There was virtually no communication for the first 3 months. After a phone call, we worked out an arrangement to get 200 of the records within a couple weeks to appease our distributor, but are still owed 800 more. Communication has gone back to zero, and we now cannot fulfill any of our pre-orders, or take holiday orders - our busiest time of the year! This has been an absolute disaster and I can no longer recommend Gold Rush.

UPDATE: Feb 15 - I was finally able to pick up the test presses today, after waiting since the lacquers were cut on Nov 7th. There was a nearly three month delay in getting the stampers to produce the test pressing. The quality is great sounding. Happy with the outcome of these despite the wait. I will update/edit again once I have received the final order. Feb 14: It saddens me to leave a negative review for a local business in an industry I care deeply about, but alas, I feel compelled to warn others of the experience I've had. I placed a small order over four (4) months ago, paying in full upfront, and still don't have so much as a test press. In response to delay after delay, the attitude of Gold Rush has been "this is just how it goes" and not helpful. I guess this isn't the place to go for the small independent artist. Unless you're placing an order six months before your release date, I would caution you to go elsewhere.

Gold Rush Vinyl is very cool place to have meeting and events. They print High-quality records and the fastest turn times in the industry (just 4-6 weeks!) - Can watch them print records all day.

Came here for a tour and the owner was super friendly and down to earth! I got to observe an overview of the process and see what happens BTS. It was a joy to see how vinyl is pressed and get questions answered!
