Delicious Detroit style pizza made with real WI brick cheese. Wonderfully crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. I’m from New Haven and have spent a lot of time in NYC and Detroit, so I know good pizza, and THIS is good pizza. Really fun, engaging staff, casual atmosphere great for families or even solo diners like me. Abundant safe and free off street parking. Great bottled soda options for drinks. A+!

Gold Tooth Tony's never misses! My husband and I saw this restaurant on Eat Like a Local and had to try it. We tried the Heights location first and ordered the Detroit style Detroit Supreme and didn't make it out the door to take home. We have been hooked ever since. We go to the Heights and Bellaire locations and again...it never misses! We don't mind driving from Mo City to get this pizza...definitely worth it. The customer service is great too! I would have posted the whole pizza but was ready to get to it!

Google
We are from Detroit and always look for Detroit style pizza when we are out of town. This hit the spot! Nice twist on unique toppings. The crust and cheese were great versions of Detroit pizza with a nice crunchy edge! Will definitely come again it we are in the Houston area!

Google
Small little place with great service and vibe. Elijah gave some great recommendations, we love the Detroit style pizza had an airy crust with just the right amount of crunch. The Brussels sprouts and garlic knots are a must. The wings had a good garlic parm flavor but it was a little too salty for us. Overall great experience and we will return

This is the second location I have eaten from, the first being in the Heights District. This proves to me CONSISTENCY is something this business does just as effortlessly as providing great pizza for the greater Houston area, and dispels the myth that some locations in swankier areas are superior. This location is in the heart of the Bellaire District, just shy of the Medical Center proper. As a person that has tried a very large cross-section of pizza joints with no prejudice, this chain shows that they hold their own in such a large market. They do this by doing what all chains should strive for: superior and locally sourced ingredients, simplicity, consistency, customer service, and food industry ethics. This location is a bit larger than its Heights counterpart with very cool neon graphics along the back wall, not offensive or too bright, its ambiance is exactly what you want in a low-key eatery. Plenty of parking, in a safe area, where your car is visible from the establishment if you tend to worry, but as long as you aren’t stupid you should be fine. If you listen to google maps it will try to take you behind the business in a very weird coordinated farce, but it is in that odd offshoot where Bellaire converges into the bus station so you might have to pop a u-turn or turn into the shopping center very early if you are coming from 610. If you’re on the fence it’s a great place to eat and take this as a sign to have it for yourself, significant other, or family at large tonight. The pizza is Detroit style which means it’s kinda like a deep dish sorta and in a square shape instead of the pie, but they do offer the Houston pie which is just the usual 3.14 shape, which only comes in 12” so if you’re a bigger eater or just gluttonous grab two if ya want leftovers. I recommend the garlic sauce to dip it’s really good. Remember to always patronize smaller businesses instead of larger corporate chains, not being pretentious it just creates a better gastro landscape with interesting choices instead of the usual soulless, processed, garbage w/ a slick corporate smile. -W

Google
I’ve been looking for an excellent true Detroit-style pizza in Houston (that came close to the best Detroit pizza I’ve had back home where I’m from). Most in Houston were ok, but all were not close in proximity to Rice Village/ West University. I saw that they recently opened up a Gold Tooth Tony’s on Bellaire (Holcombe), which was close to West University, so I decided to give them a try. The pizza was so good (the best in Houston by far), that I went back and got another pizza the next day. It’s all about the crispy chewy corner piece and the thick red sauce on top. This place did not disappoint. I also got an order of wings, and I was happy that there were jumbo in size, not the tiny wings. Staff were friendly, and everyone there had a great attitude. Definitely going to come back regularly. **Note: The location is small and the parking lot is rough, so not really a dine-in type of spot.

Google
The crust!!! I've had deep dish pizza before and never liked it. It felt too saucy almost like pasta. But I guess that was Chicago style? This Detroit style might be my favorite pizza ever period full stop. The crust is so buttery and crispy!!! The flavors are amazing. I love that the red sauce is ladled on at the end. It means the pizza isn't getting soggy and the cheese melts well on the crust. Seriously the flavor is just that good. There isn't a better pizza place around. And this might be my favorite pizza ever.

Google
We ordered take out. This pizza is so flavorful! We got a build your own with ricotta, house made sausage and pepperoni. Loved it! The sausage is SO good. Highly recommend and we will be back!!

Yelp
These guys know what they're doing. The pizza is excellent. The ingredients are top shelf, and the customer service is proper.

Yelp
Just moved from AZ, Scottsdale which is pizza heaven and Gold Tooth is the best pizza I have had in Houston. I love Detroit style but the Houston style is amazing! Ordered the Houston marg add pancetta and you will not be disappointed! Jose and the team are great! I highly recommend, plus the Gen Tso wings....all theit wings are amazing! Thank you

Yelp
First time trying gold tooth tonys! The inside space was pretty small so next time i would probably get to go. The cashier was very nice and explained the menu to us. My mom and i built our own. We each got 4 toppings and the pizzas were very good and filling. Lots of flavor! The only thing i would say is its pretty pricey for a pizza but i would go back again when im craving a speciality pizza.

Yelp
First time here and the guy at the front was super helpful and patient while I chose. Good music played while I waited. Everyone was really kind and the food was great! I got the garlic Parmesan wings and the pizza with ham, pineapple and honey. I love supporting local, I'll be back!

Yelp
Was highly recommended by my cousin and her kids and I can 100% understand why. The pizza here is incredible. Our mouths were watering just opening the boxes and seeing how delicious it all looked. The garlic knots were crispy yet doughy and were so satisfying to pull apart. The rectangular Detroit style Margherita pizza had a molten gooey cheesy deep dish base compared to the circular Houston style pizza which was thinner and had more of a crisp to it. The flavor of each item was absolute perfection.

Yelp
I am a pizza fiend. Gold Tooth Tony's is FANTASTIC pizza. We went on a Friday night after another attempted stop ended up being a bust. Enter Gold Tooth Tony's. My good friend had recommended GTT as a pizza spot to try about six months prior and I just had not made it a priority - clearly this was a significant error in judgment. Yes, we waited a significant amount of time after placing our order. But for pizza this good, this fresh, and clearly made right in front of your eyes, the wait is definitely worth it. They also accommodated a unique customization which, as vegetarians with less options, we deeply appreciated. If you appreciate a Detroit style pizza, look no further. GTT is an affordable Detroit style pizza, in a casual spot. The decor is super fun (I wish I had taken more pictures). I will definitely be coming again and look forward to more days with a belly full of delicious Detroit style pizza.

Yelp
this company removed my review which wasn't even very negative. sketchy business practice. it was calling out how the chips and queso only came with like 20 chips total.

Yelp
Husband had this place on a list of places to try so we ventured to that side of town. We were the only ones dining in so we got to hear all the workers convos lol music was loud, customer service was good. Guys were friendly! I even jumped in on their convo when they couldn't think of a characters name from Toy Story. We ordered the Mac Balls and the Detroit supreme. Mac balls were huge! The order came with two and after I had my 1 I wasn't sure I needed to eat anything else. The pizza was saucy! And had a little kick to it. I will say, that style of pizza sort of takes away the flavors of the toppings since it's smothered in pizza sauce so maybe that style isn't my fave. We also had Tiramisu from that GTT sells there by Eat My Pastry. Delicious! All the nice things aside, I started to feel bad at the table once I was done eating and puked in the parking lot. My husband didn't get sick from anything and we ate all the same things so I'm hoping it wasn't caused by this place.

Yelp
I'd describe Good Tooth Tony with one word: Character. I know it sounds odd to use that to describe what you might think is a just another pizza place, but that's exactly why I use it. When you walk in you get a vibe that's not usual. From the music, to the way the staff speaks respectfully, but realistically to you, this place has a vibe that is its own. Then there's the food. Having tried and previously reviewed another "Detroit-style" pizza place just a few months ago, I had a pretty fresh memory of how it tasted. GTT blew this out of the water. They have fresh ingredients. How fresh you ask? When was the last time you ordered garlic parmesan wings and you could actually see the shredded parmesan? You can call out the tomatoes in the pasta sauce? THAT fresh. Let's go back to the wings. It's a new thing that I've been eating more of lately and sadly, GTT may have spoiled me on that. The wings were flavorful and you don't need sauce because they aren't overcooked/fried. The pizza menu is customizable to your needs. For instance, I wanted the Detroit Supreme but I don't eat pork so I was able to switch out the sausage on my pizza to chicken. We had a really cool moment when we visited because it was the night the Texans played the Lions - we were sitting chatting with the staff and owner, Tony, and NBC did a feature on the restaurant during the game. It was so cool to see the excitement of the staff and we cheered along with them as we watched the clip. I hope it brings them more business but I also hope you bring them business. This is a good place and they have a couple of places throughout H-town so definitely go out and support. They are committed to bringing great food. If you want to try more, you can share. If you want to have leftovers to keep the good vibe going, order a pizza and wings and enjoy it later. Speaking from experience, it holds well for a few days.

Yelp
I told my friend "Tony's tooth is gold because he's a scammer!!! " terrible value for the price. The pizzas are so small you can use your hand for comparison for the same price as an extra large somewhere else. To make matters worse, on doordash they have a BOGO saying you are buying $70 worth of pizza for $35 when the single pizza only cost $18 so they are basically telling you a 4x markup for paying for two pizzas full price. The sauce and crust are tasty but it has this smell that just does not make me want to eat it. I saw a post raving over the garlic Parmesan chicken wings and the chicken is so lightly cooked it literally looks like it's probably still raw inside but im too afraid to touch it. Just very disappointed in this whole experience and I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally treated myself tonight and now I barely have dinner. Update: I called to complain about the wings. They said they poach them. I've never heard of that as a chosen method for chicken wings. Like uhhhhhh no thanks

Yelp
Both the Detroit style and regular pizza have great flavor and people working there super nice. They apparently make some of the toppings themselves so pizza has its own flavors all in good ways.

Yelp
Amazing service felt like they actually cared about your experience awesome hype man at the register 10/10 would recommend also very good pizza quality it takes time but it's worth it , would definitely come back .

Yelp
The pizza is delicious. Hands down, some of the best around here. My issue(s) come from me calling and being put on hold while I listened to them chat for 7 mins before hanging up and ordering online. I had some questions that didn't get answered. Nonetheless, I paid for two sides of ranch, $4 total, and did not get either one of them when I picked up the food. Got home and realized it was not there. Only $4 but still... The cinnamon knots were hard as a rock. I dropped one on the counter and the top and side crumbled off like glass, removing the cinnamon flavor. All but two (2) of the knots were too hard to enjoy. Which is unfortunate because those two were really good.
google avatar

Leslie K.

Yelp
Probably not equivalent to a large pan pizza, but it is hardy and filling for its size. If you tell them the pizza is for kids, you can omit or provide the basil/red pepper flakes on the side. My son said he didn't like the pizza, he loved it.

Yelp
I had been looking forward to trying their pizza for a good while now. A couple of nights ago, we finally stopped in. It just wasn't that good. So disappointing. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Must be good right? No, not at all. Piss-poor selection of beer and wine. I saw a few health code violations by the staff. The carnivore Detroit style pizza - couldn't taste the meats because they were all scorched to a crisp. Sauce was awful. Cheese and crust quite good. Chicky Parm sandwich was like warmed up hospital food. Tater tots were good, but who cares? I would rather eat dinner at a Panera Bread. Don't bother with this place. It's a bunch of social media hype, dumb people, and BS. 3.2

Yelp
Soo good! the best pizza in Houston hands down! Staff at this location is also great!!
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Great pizza and really friendly workers! I had a random craving for Detroit pizza, and ended up going to this place twice in a month. Love the texture of the crust, and the ingredients were tasty. I wasn't a fan of the pizza tater tots though. It was too for me
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
Delicious!! Had their Hunger Force, 181 Heights, and the Griz. All were flavorful, soft on the inside but crunchy on the outside. I would totally come back to try their other pizzas
google avatar

Kori W.

Yelp
So yeah it's true the amount of food you get for the price is small BUT the pizza is really good. I got the pepperoni - their pepperoni tastes better than dominos. I foolishly only bought one pizza thinking it would be enough for 4 people but 1 pizza only has 4 slices. The service is warm and friendly and the place has character (has a few places to sit and good amount of parking.) I will definitely return but i will buy 2 pizzas next time and wait for a cool seasonal flavor (seems like they have one every month).
google avatar

Nia W.

Yelp
Absolutely AMAZING pizza. Just wow Amazing fresh flavor, crispy warm crust, and the cheese omg . GOD SENT! The staff was absolutely amazing here as well!
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Detroit style pizza and it's very good. I gnoshed half of a square pan pizza, my goal was to eat a quarter section but the taste got in the way....too good to quit. My wife enjoyed a garden salad wit' air fried lightly battered chicken. We both had enough leftovers for tonight's meal. This is more of a pickup or delivery place but they do have a few tables. Friendly people and great food. We'll be back.

Ken L.

Yelp
Just tried Tony's for the first time on recommendation. Detroit style is awesome'! The buffalo wings were great!

Ann F.

Yelp
Great pizza! We have ordered from the Bellaire location twice: the first time was delivered by DoorDash, and the second time, I picked up our order in person. This pizza is absolutely delicious! My latest order included extra brick cheese, mushrooms, and meatballs. You definitely need to try their meatballs--they are so delicious! My only criticism is that the portions are small. For example, an 8x10 Detroit pizza (which has four squares) is not enough to feed a family of four, especially if you have boys! Trust me, after enjoying your first bite, you'll want another piece of pizza!

Mark M.

Yelp
Have been a few times since they've opened a location here. Pizza is always fantastic, and so are the garlic bread / garlic knots. The music there and movies on the TV make it a chill place to go eat with friends in the evening. The staff is very personable, fun to talk to, and remember who you are.
google avatar

Kennesin C.

Yelp
Service was amazing upon entry, shout out to Eli who made our experience a 10/10 wayy before we had our food! The ambiance was great! We ordered the pizza tots, and 2 deep dish pizzas. Also the pesto and the sirano ranch is 10/10! Everything was super good and will definitely be back to the BELLAIRE LOCATION!!
google avatar

Crystal John K.

Yelp
Overpriced pizza with long wait times. They messed up our order and had to re-make it. Told them don't make it spicy and they made it spicy.
google avatar

Bruce F.

Yelp
We had 1 pizza and it was good , the taste the crust the ingredients. Will return and try others

James C.

Yelp
Pizza was $22 after tax. It's a small pizza. Tiny Tony. There's a reason no one wants to live in Detroit, this is one of the many reasons. Should've been $10.81. The food wasn't anything better than any other pizza, the sauce honestly wasn't anything good. For $22 I would expect a large pizza with several toppings not a small pathetic pizza. What a ripoff!
google avatar

Ryan G.

Yelp
Hey it was good, the toppings, sauce, and crust was we had the Detroit supreme and it did not disappoint. At first glance I was thinking oh crap this is small for 2 people with 4 slices. But nope it was perfect we'll be back.
google avatar

Klash H.

Yelp
We order from this location often. My guess is twice per month. For an entire month my husband ordered once per week. I enjoy the robust tomato sauce that doesn't have a acidic after taste. Many people can not accomplish this. I always order delivery and it is worth the cost.

MICHAEL P.

Yelp
GTT is my favorite pizza place in town for fancy pizza. To me, it's like the business has chosen to be high quality above all else, visible in flavor, ingredients, and appearance. The Eat My Pastry desserts are also really good. Favs are supreme, hunger force, and there once was a mushroom "pizza of the month" called "mushy love."
google avatar

Kingsley C.

Yelp
Houston finally has an A1 pizza joint. I ordered a custom pepperoni and mushroom pizza via Uber eats It was . Easily the best pizza I've had down here and competes with some of the pizzas I've had when I lived in NYC/NJ. Check em out.!
google avatar

George B.

Yelp
Ordered one pizza at the suggestion of my adult children for pick up at the Bellaire location. So the quality of the pizza was very good, but for $23 I was expecting something bigger than what is in my opinion about the size of a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza. The size was so small the kids ordered a second pizza and a salad that was not great. I wouldn't order here again.
google avatar

Roger A.

Yelp
Best pizza in town. Beef pepperoni is the best! Highly recommended. Friendly staff and great service! Ambiance is great!
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Detroit style pizza so good, you will forget that Jimmy Hoffa disappeared from there. Motor on over to one of their locations.
google avatar

Rio A.

Yelp
-Pizza and pepperoni was a little bit too burnt for me . -The staff was eating in the food prep area with no hair restraints -I immediately had to stop down the street to go to the bathroom after I left .

Jason S.

Yelp
We picked up The Marg - Detroit Style, Garlic bread, and a Caesar Salad. Everything was delicious. Be aware that one pizza is likely for 2 people max. It seemed a little small for the price but it was high quality and filling. Unfortunately there are no leftovers but we'll come back soon.

Leticia G.

Yelp
Tried it for the first time last week and will definitely be going back. The crispiness and flavor of the pepperoni pizza were perfect. The garlic knots were excellent as well. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Tami O.

Yelp
Love this pizza! The Houston round & the Detroit style are delicious. Cheap beer & wine with friendly service. We are regulars now.

Scott R.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I LOVE the pizza at Gold Tooth Tony's. Having said that, I will never order from them again because of their deceptive trade practices and poor customer service. There is a coupon at the back of my HEB grocery receipt for "Buy one pizza, get one free." It very clearly states that the coupon expires on 4/30/25 and is valid at the 5225 Bellaire Blvd location. So I attempted to order about $80 worth of pizza and other goodies from their online website for the Bellaire location, today, April 28, 2025. However, the website would not accept the discount code. So I called the store. Spoke to a young man who said that their managers told them they were not allowed to honor those coupons anymore. Which is a problem, because if the coupon is not expired, it is valid and must be accepted. When I told they young man that, he hung up on me. An odd way to treat a paying customer. At least someone who USED to be a paying customer who will now give his business to a restaurant that does not attempt to lie to and deceive its customers, and then hang up on them when they are called out for it. Be better, Gold Tooth Tony's.

Pita Z.

Yelp
First time visit but not the last ;) ordered the meatball and whipped ricotta pizza. Lovely, airy thick crust with crispy edges. So yummy Also ordered the garlic parmesan wings, because I love all things garlic. Thank you Yelpers who mentioned these wings definitely have real crushed garlic and parmesan cheese. Juicy, garlicky goodness, did not disappoint. The ingredients are quality and food delicious. Already making plans for my next visit.
google avatar

Joyce A.

Yelp
The pizzas look small but are filling. The marg and 181 are amazing with hot honey. It may not be great for kids who can't handle spice, as even the pep had some hidden heat. The mac balls were pretty good.
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
Tried the wings, a BYO pizza, chicken parm, and Tony's hero. Everything was awesome! Staff is super chill and helpful. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Tine C.

Yelp
I finally ordered a Detroit style pizza from this location. The employee was very accommodating and helpful. I ordered a meat lovers Detroit style. The pizza was made quickly in 10-15 minutes. Total approximately $22, I requested extra sauce on the side. $1.00 more. The pizza was very small about 4 slices. It tasted good, not great. I've had Detroit style pizza before from Jet's pizza in Pearland which was amazing. Gold Tooth's pizza was a bit salty for me. It's a good pizza. Inside was very clean and modern. I recommend them if you're not near Jet's pizza.

Malena C.

Yelp
We just left and my grandma said: "This is the best pizza I've ever had!" Staff was absolutely incredible and super sweet which is so rare these days. You can tell they really believe in the food they're making and it shows. The pizza was saucy and thick and just the right amount of crispy on the edges. I'm so happy we finally have a pizza place this level on this side of town. Will definitely be back for the hospitality and amazing food.
google avatar

Valentina G.

Yelp
I am not a pizza lover, and normally is because of the sauce, but I have to say, this is by far, the best marinara sauce I have tried. Not tangy, perfect sweetness. Add to that the perfectly cooked dough, crispy on the edges, and you have a fantastic pizza!!!!

Jackie P.

Yelp
Pizza is pretty decent, but I called to place an order with a BOGO coupon from the back of my HEB coupon that doesn't expire until the end of this month and they told me they aren't honoring them anymore. That's pretty bad business practice and they definitely will not be getting any more money from me and my family and friends. Not a great way to treat your new Bellaire neighborhood.

Kris T.

Yelp
I would give no stars if I could. I have a Buy One Pizza/Get One Free coupon for the Bellaire pizza location which was printed on the back of my Bellaire H‑E‑B receipt. The coupon's expiration date is 4/30/25. Drove over to Bellaire Gold Tooth Tony's and they would not honor it. Why advertise like this and then not honor it? I left without anything because I will not patronize a dishonorable business.

Angie B.

Yelp
yum. I haven't had Detroit style pizza before so this was all new to me. I heard about this place from MLs of SWH on FB. I loved the crispy buttery edge and the flaky chewy center of the Detroit style crust. I had the Detroit supreme that comes with pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions, mushrooms, peppers and olive salad. All the meats seemed to be better quality than most pizza joints. The veggies were chopped small. I didn't really notice the mushroom. I especially loved the olive salad bits that were on this pizza. The tomato sauce was great- slightly sweet Cheese was good. Overall a great solid pizza. Will definitely be back. I also had the garlic bread which was meh. The bread was soft and a little anemic looking. There was a pesto inside and lots of cheese on top. The cheese was not melted Maybe I should have toasted it when I got home. I ordered for pickup and it was ready when I arrived The staff were friendly and the place had a cool vibe. Can't wait to try some of the other pizzas!
