Google
Famous for the bagels. We’ve been here for brunch a few times and they are generally busy with a Sunday crowd. I actually recommend the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was solid and the chicken was delicious. The French dip came recommended, but I wasn’t overly impressed. I think my sandwich might have been a little overcooked. Everyone enjoyed their bagels and we do recommend coming here. Price wise, it’s a fairly reasonable place and the service is always nice.

Google
I came here per recommendation only because the Starbucks line was too long. It was a reminder as to why I don’t eat out often. The employees were very friendly enough and respectful but they took too long. Their customers were out of control. Bad little kids running around and grown men with no sense of direction chasing after the kids. I will never return.

Google
Angel went above and beyond to give great service and great customer service! She is very polite and accommodated everyone with a smile. She is definitely someone to keep! My latkes was missing the applesauce. But everything tasted good.

I’ve been coming to this Goldberg’s for years and typically have had a pleasant experience…. today I got a bagel, and in the middle of eating it, I realized part of someone’s cut off braid is in/on my bagel. How does that even happen ?!?! Totally disgusting

Google
Not high quality food, but food tastes good. Syrup for pancakes is NOT real maple syrup. It's just maple flavored syrup. Corned beef hash is mostly a bunch of shredded potatoes and barely any meat. Regular coffee is good and hot. Flavored coffee didn't come to the table hot. My waiter was friendly. I tipped her well. Their locations are in nice areas. I was expecting higher quality.

Google
5/17/24 the kitchen manager Orlando really gives his customers a lot of TLC. I ordered French toast today and it was just like mom used to make it only maybe a little bit better they use their delicious brioche bread and it came with beautifully sliced strawberries. What more could you ask for? Get the French toast you won't regret it. I've been a customer of Goldberg's for nearly 50 years. What can I say? Hirut is such a thoughtful waitress. She remembers my favorite dishes and beverage and takes good care of me every time I visit.

Dana Shearer

Google
Only reviewing my meal. Ordered the regular hot corned beef on rye. It was so dry and overcooked I barely ate it. I took the top off the second half and this is what was on it. $13.99 for this is embarrassing. Service was friendly but not very attentive.

Angelani Mukendi

Google
The waitress Hirut was very nice and hospitable, the food was well made and everyone was very welcoming.

Yelp
The food at Goldberg dinner is delicious and reminds me of my mothers cooking. The bagels are super delicious. The cream is like desert like I could eat it by itself. Our server Mia was the goat we were served quickly. Now for the ambiance I will say it's a nice joint. It's comfortable and very chill environment good for family's or a Breakfast date.

Yelp
Showed up during Sunday brunch with an unannounced party of 12. Without hesitation the hosts began to organize tables to accommodate. Our designated server was Brittney- she greeted us with kindness and continued to tend to our needs and was very pleasant the entire visit. Brittney also learned our names and addressed each guest personally. The entire staff was very helpful and never showed any resentment towards the large party. Our food was fresh, timely and delicious- it even came to our table with all of our orders complete. Well done, Brittney and staff!!

Robert M.

Yelp
I had the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were amazing!!! Soft, fluffy and great flavor. The gravy was thin, tasted like chicken bouillon and I don't think they use pork sausage in their gravy. They don't put much gravy on the plate. Had to skip one of the biscuit halves because I ran out of gravy. I would NOT order this again. I followed it up with a side of latkes. Oh boy was that a mistake. They don't cook/fry them to order. They were lukewarm and chewy like they had been cooked over a hour earlier and held on a steam table. Again, I would not recommend these. Maybe they have great bagels? IDK.

Yelp
There aren't many other cheap breakfast/brunch places in the area, which is why Goldbergs is always packed. I got the Egg and Cheese sandwich on an everything bagel with potato latkes as my side ($7.95). It was pretty mediocre. The "everything" bagel was mostly sesame seeds. And the potato latkes were room temperature and just not that good. Someone in my party got the Georgia Reuben ($15.50) and said it was really good. The fries didn't look that good though. I wouldn't go out of my way for Goldbergs, but if you're in the area, it's a reasonably priced and convenient option.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch. There was a short wait, but we were seated pretty quickly. I had the Nova on a Bagel with fruit, which was executed perfectly. The staff was busy but very nice.

Kevin G.

Yelp
Today, we visited Goldbergs Fine Foods - Dunwoody aka deli. On our way back north from Atlanta, we decided to get a deli sandwich. On a Sunday around 12:45 p.m., the place was nearly full. Only 2 tables open after we sat. We were greeted and seated immediately, and our waitress made contact just as fast to let us know she would be by momentarily. Brittany was so friendly and full of energy. She took our order without writing it down, and it all showed up correctly. Our drinks and our food were out very fast despite being a near full house. I ordered the Brooklyn Reuben with potato salad, and she ordered a pastrami on Rye with cole slaw. My sandwich was very hot and flavorful meat with a rye bread that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, aka perfect. The potato salad was flavorful with quite a few ingredients, a tasty treat. Also, a pickle on the plate (without any juice to make the bread soggy) attention to detail and not every deli gets this. While my wife enjoyed her sandwich, the pastrami was a little dry but tasty nonetheless. She ate it all, so it was a passing grade for sure. Although this place is pretty far away, we will be back. A shame they do not have a deli in Sugar Hill.

Matthew N.

Yelp
Mediocre food, served by people who don't want to be there, and is wrong like half the time. Most recent order was a bacon and egg sandwich with cream cheese. I guess counting to three has become difficult.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday morning at around 9 am. Parking at that time was easy to get right in front of the restaurant. There were customers at only 5 tables when we arrived. Even then, it took about a minute before one of the dining room employees acknowledged we were there, gesturing toward the dining area indicating that we could sit at any table, then she brought menus to us soon after we sat down. Lots of tables inside. Some tables were outside, but I'm not sure if servers will provide service outside. There is a very busy deli area where customers can walk in (or call in), order and do take out. It looked like the deli employees were very quick and efficient. Deli items in the cases looked very good. Some of the items were fresh and ready to eat, like salads, while other items were deli meats and cheeses that were just waiting to be sliced on demand. There were also prepared frozen foods that customers could take home and heat up to save themselves preparation time. Our server was just ok during the time we were at Goldbergs. She was nice, but neither quick nor efficient. It took her a few minutes to get to our table in spite of an almost empty restaurant; before she arrived, I saw her talking to someone in the kitchen. I ordered eggs Benedict with bacon, and latkes. R ordered Nova on Bagel, smoked salmon served with cream cheese, red onions, tomatoes and capers, and wanted it on an Everything bagel. This came with a side, and he chose fresh fruit. He also ordered a side of over easy eggs. 15 minutes after we ordered, our food arrived. R's eggs were hot, and he said that all of his food was good. However, I quickly found out my eggs Benedict food was barely warm and the latkes were cold, but had to wait a few minutes for our server to come back around so that I could tell her. She quickly took the plate back to the kitchen. Ten minutes later, hot food was served. The eggs Benedict was hot, but the hollandaise sauce completely lacked flavor. The latkes were hard throughout and definitely overcooked. This was a not so good food experience for me.

Yelp
Friendly service, reasonable prices, big variety of breakfast and lunch meals. BEST strawberry cream cheese I've ever had! Fragrant aroma, sweet taste with real strawberries mixed in. Portions were substantial and EVERYTHING was delicious!

Oliver T.

Yelp
Our party of 6 came here on a Saturday morning at 7. Interior is clean and well organized. The manager spoke with us for a bit after we were seated and then later our server, Deneeka, arrived to take our order. I ordered an egg/cheese on sesame bagel with potato latke. Food arrived fairly quickly. Food was "fine", nothing spectacular, but not bad. It appeared Deneeka was the only server working that morning, but she kept our coffees filled. We had a long discussion at our table and there was no pressure for us to leave, even though we had finished our food. Tables were about half occupied by the time we left.

Aileen B.

Yelp
Great bagels. It was a little weird when we first came in because we didn't know you could sit down and be served.

He Said She Said ..

Yelp
He Said: We visit *a lot* of bagel shops on our travels and, as a result, have many great, many good, and many bad bagels. Mine was bad. Undercooked on the inside and hardly firm on the outside. Yuck. The cream cheese was tasty enough, but you can't salvage nearly raw dough. Because She and I are split here, my rating is a 2. She Said: Unless I see something to deter me (or if they're just not available), I always get a pumpernickel bagel at a proper bagel shop. I'm typically disappointed--but understanding. I make my own bagels, so I know how hard it can be to get any bagel--much less the tricky pumpernickel--right. Goldberg's gets it right. From the proper rise to the bit of crisp on the outside and the lovely rye flavor, this is one of the best pumpernickel bagels I've had. And I asked for light cream cheese and that was properly delivered. We'll be back when next we're in town! Potty Points: No trip to the potty for me today! Because He and I are split on votes, mine is a 4.

Betsy S.

Yelp
I went here with a colleague and we sat inside. After perusing the menu and changing my mind many times, I ordered an egg white omelette with veggies (no onions), a side of sliced tomatoes and an everything bagel with cream cheese to go. She ordered avocado toast- both were very good. Of course, we ordered coffee too! We sat and took our time and I even had them give me a coffee to go! It's a mellow place and that's good when you just want a simple place to get a good break!!

Roxanne V.

Yelp
In calling for a catered meal for Hanukkah, Howard was amazing to work with. He offered many suggestions for me as I am not Jewish but sending to a Jewish family. He made wonderful suggestions. The food was delicious, generous portions, delivered on time and presented perfectly. Now I'm looking for reasons to cater to people just because :-) turns out Howard was the owner so clearly he takes so much pride in answering the phone and doing the job himself! The whole experience felt like old-school when people took pride in their job and in their service.

Yelp
I try to go to Goldburgs when I am in Atlanta because I very much like their Lox and Bagel. I have never been disappointed. My 5-Star rating is only for this one item and their bagels. I haven't tried any other item. Concerning the service. At this specific location our server was handling way too many customers. What blew my son and I away was his ability to accommodate us in a timely and professional manner. He was one of the best server either of us have ever encountered. Unfortunately, I do not recall his name. I only remember that he was on the morning shift and that I can only hope he is my server when I go there again for Lox & Bagel.

Tricia H.

Yelp
Just ate lunch at Goldberg's Dunwoody- disgusting!!! Had matzah ball soup that was the worst. I told them it must have come from a can- they rolled their eyes as if to say " you don't want to know"- they said it it was made in a commissary. Yuck!! Salty, square chicken bits, and totally inedible. I'd give Goldbergs a F. The latkes my husband had were flat and greasy. All in all-- we'll never go back

Angelina P.

Yelp
Great food. Service is good. Very clean. Casual atmosphere. Diverse menu. Alot of bagel options.

Rebecca J.

Yelp
After going to this location for many, many years, I don't understand what has happened to this location, but it seems that Goldbergs corporate has just let it go. Every visit is worse than the last. Today my everything bagel was doughy and undercooked. Toasting didn't help. I got my usual coffee but lately they no longer put out milk for it and when I ask the grumbly manager, she always mumbles about somebody needing to go get milk! Today I asked again--you seriously don't have any milk at all? She said we only have 2% so at least I got 2%. She said I should just use the room temperature pods of half-and-half sitting in a basket by the coffee. Finally, at the checkout, the position of the sun was directly in customers' eyes, and everyone was shielding their eyes and looking down and trying to pay. No one in management or otherwise took any steps to block the sun coming through the window behind the register when it was slowing checkout and customers were visibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this Goldbergs has seen better days.

Jacklyn K.

Yelp
Eaten here a few times for both lunch and breakfast takeout. The good parts: the latkes are awesome and authentic tasting. The onion rings are absolutely amazing, some of the best I've ever had. Bagels just OK, but as NYer I've got stupid high standards. The negatives- I'm not crazy about their omelettes, pretty bland and toppings aren't mixed it they're more just plopped on. This spot also get orders wrong on the regularrrr- it's frustrating to say the least. The grilled cheese artichoke sandwich was not even melted and definitely super rushed and lackluster. Probably will come back for those onion rings but can't justify only loving the fried food so far from this place.

Suzette B.

Yelp
Breakfast was so delicious, due to my server, Brittany Kelley. I was seated quickly and every time I come I am always taken care of by Brittany . The Manager, Jennifer has the best staff. Every time we come for bagels we are greeted by Brittany and made to feel at home. She makes sure that we are happy and that our food order is just the way we like it! Brittany remembers the specifics of how we like our bagel and the exact condiments that we use. This Goldberg's is my favorite location. I look forward to every visit! Check this location out in Dunwoody, GA. Suzette B.

Yelp
This is probably one of the very best breakfast restaurants. I love the excellent food and service and atmosphere. I dined here over the years and am so glad to have taken time to dine there this am!

Keila K.

Yelp
Still a 3 for me. Not a fan of the service primarily and the items are overpriced. I ordered a bagel with peanut butter and surprisingly enough, the peanut butter was more than the bagel! Like where they do that at?? Im sure it's not made in house and only consisted of two scoops of JIF. Seriously. And the bagel was kind of sweet (blueberry which generally isn't). Like too much sugar. I've ordered this flavor before at Einstein's and it's definitely not like this. I could only eat half. And if you do order your food to go, all orders are placed down farther at the main counter not at the one when you walk it. It's very confusing. So basically you'd pass that first desk, order your food at the other counter then walk back to the first desk to check out. The service is still the same. Bland. Some associates were working while the other associate who was doing the checkout had to constantly be told that she had a customer waiting because she was on her phone. It was annoying.

Sharon K.

Yelp
I was dying for the lox bagel and was so happy I found this place. First of all, the bagels were so big! I was pretty full after eating half of it (my portions are smaller than most people). While the lox bagel was good, I wouldn't say it was worth the price. I wish there was an option to just get the lox bagel without the combo (sides such as fries or cole slaw) for a cheaper price even on the weekends. I wouldn't mind trying this place again on a weekday morning with their combo deals or coming to get just their bagels.

Sid B.

Yelp
best bagels in the area POOR covid respect -- Management needs to re-design. Almost all had masks , but distancing couldn't occur as set up . Lines cramped , and where do yo go after paying? this is enough for me not to come back So 15 minutes after my bagel order they still had not pulled them, so asked nice lady at cash register-- she asked someone in back that disappeared. Another 5 minutes, she asked again for me. I followed the person back, she was about to do something else. I said I was waiting 20 minutes, and she said they just told her about it (not). Mgr Dan interrupted saying i should wait or he threatened to cancel my order. Mgr Dan, ask the customer what the issue is before you speak. I wont be back. I have asthma -- wearing a mask for 20+ minutes is crazy I avoided going INSIDE there before covid, I had ordered by third party or had family pick up

Ernesto S.

Yelp
Excelente service by Brittany, and manager Jennifer was very interested In my satisfaction, I'll always recommend Goldberg Dunwoody.

Online B.

Yelp
Service can be iffy... sometimes you get charged something different for the same thing from one week to the next at the takeout register. And they are completely lost with online orders

Phil S.

Yelp
Great breakfasts and lunches. We're only in the area for a few days but have eaten here twice and will make it thrice tomorrow before we leave Georgia. We'd seen other reviewers mention the reasonable prices and that is true. Large portions, too, usually more that we could eat.

Robert H.

Yelp
I debated between a 3 and 4 on Gold Wes and went with 3 stars. We came in for a brunch and were seated immediately. Our waitress seemed to be in a hurry the whole time and she never came to refill any of our drinks after we ordered. The food was goods I got an omelet which I enjoyed. There were a couple of ingredients that weren't supposed to be in the omelet that I found in a few bites. It was a nice size omelet though. The bagel was the highlight of the meal for me. I went with a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The cream cheese was amazing. I was full after the meal, but they do have a sign that if you like them on facebook then you can get a free desert.

Keegan R.

Yelp
Incredibly packed every time I walk in this place with no clear direction on who is waiting for what. Decent food but suggest a different bagel place. Waited an additional 10 minutes for my online order when my food was ready because the individual behind the counter didn't look good enough. Second person found it immediately.

Niko P.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was absolutely amazing!!! I am now a forever customer!!!! Brittany helped me gave me great suggestions had me laughing and gave great service with a smile!!!! I can't wait to see yall again I'll and I live 45 mins away!

Rachel B.

Yelp
We love the bagels and Brittany is always so friendly and helpful whenever I come in!

Janice G.

Yelp
I met a friend for lunch at this location. We both found the food oversalted, cold and some questionable up-charges on our check. I will not be back.

Robert A.

Yelp
Take out service and customer relations at Cashier counter - Lacking appropriate behavior by the manager. I will be returning - but with a different outlook !! Good Luck !!! ;-)

Suzanne L.

Yelp
I have only really bought bagels, but they are good. I know this place can get busy but I have only been when it is fairly quiet. I have had no issues with service.

Brandi D.

Yelp
I'm excited to finally have found New York style bagels in the Atlanta metro! Even better that they have awesomely priced specials and vast variety of bagels, sandwiches, soups/salads, etc. Today, I had the Special #1: A nova bagel (on a jalapeño /cheese bagel, topped with cream cheese, capers and onions) and coffee (They have flavored coffee!) Total: $9.17 (Nov 2019) Verdict: Delicious Add in a spacious and clean dining room area and bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff (Thanks Susan , Dan and Q), and free parking... we have a winner. My only gripe is that it's not near my house so I can come everyday lol. Update 07 February 2020: I had extra time, so I decided to dine in. I had the Nova and Onion Scramble. (I had to be extra and add spinach and mushrooms, and home fries as the side. It will be extra if you order it my way) Again... delicious! And my server Monica was so sweet! Never a bad experience here!

Joe C.

Yelp
Arrived Sunday morning to start the new year and we were promptly seated and served by Christy. We ordered omelets, latkes and various other items from the breakfast menu. All were delicious and hearty. We will be back!

Paula K.

Yelp
Hubby and I were in the area and had not been to Goldberg's in a while. We sat in the dining area and had breakfast. Our waitress was super friendly and gave great service. The gentleman greeter was super happy and nice as well. Very pleasant atmosphere here! I had an asiago bagel sandwich, which was very good...however the potato latke blew my socks off!!! Amazing!!! I had to place an order of them to go to eat later. Hubby had the corn-beef hash and home fries. He loved both! Will definitely be back when we are in the area!

Jaye W.

Yelp
Delicious food with a fantastic selection for anyone who needs to eat gluten free. Had a great experience with the staff and everything is made in house

Scott G.

Yelp
Been a customer of this location for 20+ years - bagels are fabulous, sandwiches are reliably good until recently. Po Boy is my go-to - great bread snd amazing fillings. Used to be $5.99 special - then $7.99, $9.99 and now $11.99. Supply chain, inflation etc etc - fair enough. But now the sandwiches are noticeably smaller - like 3/4 the size that they used to be - so double the price for less of a product - ironically for a sandwich call Po(oor) Boy. Will still visit this location, but will have to adjust what to buy - shame,

kevin m.

Yelp
I was surprised by the lack of customers at 8:00 on a Saturday morning but after eating here I am surprised they even had two booths full. I had a very simple order: a toasted plain bagel with butter, a side of grits with cheese and a cup of coffee. The quality of the bagel was disappointing. It tasted like a Lender's frozen bagel, minimal flavor and texture and no sign of being toasted. This is not an authentic NY style bagel. The grits were warm and the dab of cheese just sat there not melting. Coffee is weak, more like flavored water but probably a hit with those that like Folgers and Maxwell House. Overall poor food quality and way over-priced! I will never come back given the alternatives available to get a good quality bagel.

Venicia C.

Yelp
Dining out during COVID is already nerve-racking but wanted to celebrate my birthday and have breakfast with family. I chose Goldbergs after hearing raving reviews. I dined on Sunday 10/4/20 at about 10:30am, party of 3. Every employee was wearing a mask and everyone was practicing safe social distancing. I did go pretty early so the restaurant wasn't super busy as I'm sure it probably would get but overall I felt safe and distanced during these covid times. We were promptly greeted by our server Megan. She's a rockstar, she was super sweet, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We did have a little accident where we spilled our drink on the table and Megan immediately assured us it was fine and it was cleaned ups pretty quick for us. The food was great, I ordered a side of corned beef hash, side of grits and an everything bagel with chive cream cheese. It's sooo hard to find good grits. They did not disappoint ... creamy and full of flavor, salt and pepper was not needed. Corned beef hash delicious as well. It was shredded potatoes (like hashbrowns) with chunks of corned beef inside. The bagel was phenomenal so fresh and perfectly paired with the chive cream cheese. Nothing is ever perfect and I always like to try to give suggestions from a guest perspective. The only thing I would change about my visit would be when we initially walked in we were a little confused of where to go to be seated. It could've been at the very moment someone stepped away from the host stand or we probably missed a sign directing us? - anything is possible but it was our first visit and we were a little lost. BUT I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, my server Megan and the food was great as well. Definitely would go again and definitely would recommend !

Nick B.

Yelp
Food was great! Walked right in an was greeted quickly. Our service was great from Kristie and the food was just a good. Will consider coming back soon!

Ellie W.

Yelp
So happy to find this wonderful breakfast spot while traveling in Atlanta. I am gluten free and looking for a bagel with homemade cream cheese. I went in and the gentlemen told me they were out of gf bagels but the trick just came in. He took the time to go get them off the truck. What customer service! While the gf bagels are Udi's brand the cream cheese is awesome! I had the strawberry (picture attached). Very reasonable for the price! Would definitely go back. Some of the friendliest people and you are well taken care of. I picked up at the counter but would go back to sit down.

Sal P.

Yelp
I was WON over by 2 sandwiches for LIFE, It was that GOOD i felt BLESSED by the sandwiches. I know they are known for bagels but the Sandwiches WON my heart. So it all started when I was looking for breakfast places and we were passing through dunwoody when we found it. The staff was friendly and very up beat for early morning which great. Now as i was looking at the menu I saw little pictures on the table for 2 sandwiches 1. Chicken sandwich and 2. grilled cheese artichoke shmeared ( spelled wrong i think) with tomatoes soup. I chose the chicken sandwich which comes with cheese, banana pepper and something i cant remember on hogie bread. The sandwich was so GOOD I felt it in my soul. When I went home I told my brothers about how good it is. So next day we all went but I got the grill cheese artichoke smeare with the soup, OMG I fell in love the One too. They soup was creamy tomatoes and I like it wasnt very tomatoes-ee lol. The grill cheese with soup was AMAZING together, they are meant to be together. Also is came with bagel chip which were good but it was nothing compared with the grilled cheese and tomatoes soup. I keep going back until I had to go back to work and sadly now I wait few week to go if I'm free because I live on the other side of town and they closed at 3 and I cant make it. Yall I do recommend trying sandwiches, its SO WORTH IT.

William P.

Yelp
Ordered to go for the first time. It's been a while since last time I was there. The thick challah French toast is what always brings me back. This time, they still didn't disappoint. Full of flavor and thick enough to sop up the syrup. Caution to the size proportion of 1 egg. I ordered 2 thinking it would be a small egg but it's 1 order of eggs (roughly 2-3 eggs). Grits with cheese lacked salt but I'm guessing it's for health reasons. J had country omelette which was missing the hash browns. Eggs were thick and the sauce was light.

Briana B.

Yelp
This is a great place that I wish I knew about sooner! It's located in the Georgetown Shopping Center which is always very busy. Parking can sometimes be tricky depending on when you go- there are plenty of spots but between the Kroger and other restaurants there have been plenty of occasions where I have had to circle around a bit before parking. Other than that, really no complaints! This is a great cozy diner that feels a bit like you're walking into the past (in a good way). They have a surprisingly large menu with lots of unique options making it a great spot for weekend brunch. They also do takeout orders so it's great to stop in before work if you want something quick. I got their Nova bagel and it was delicious. They really do have great bagels here! Everyone is also very friendly which is always a plus. This will definitely be our new go-to spot for breakfast.

Jana K.

Yelp
I really enjoy Goldberg's. Because it is within walking distance of my home during the pandemic I would walk there with my dogs and sit and eat outside. It definitely helped make things feel a bit normal. I have been visiting so long they know me by name. They also know my orders and that is plural. And they always ask which one and I am getting today. My favorite is the French toast and I also like a bagel and nova. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can start walking again, Goldberg's will definitely be on my list of destinations.

Michelle V.

Yelp
Been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience. We went yesterday for Sunday brunch. First off when I was standing in line for a table the front of the restaurant smelled like manure. I went to bed that night woke up about 12 hours after eating there with severe stomach pain. I went to urgent care tonight to get checked out and they told me I have Norovirus. The dr asked me what I ate. When I told her I had an avocado bagel for lunch she said oh yea they probably didn't properly wash the avocado before hand. Explains why within an hour of leaving there my stomach felt off. Won't be back. This place is dirty and not worth picking up food poisoning or a stomach virus.

Yelp
I hate to have to leave this review, each month I order lunch from Goldberg's for our monthly meetings in addition to random days during the month. As usual, today I contacted Goldberg's to place an order for pick-up at 12:00 pm. I introduced myself and stated I would like to place an order for several items for 12:00 pm pick-up. The person that answered the phone stated her name was Carol and asked that I hold. Once Carol returned, I informed her that I would be ordering for several individuals and I would like the names listed on the meal containers to avoid confusion. Upon arrival to pick-up my order at 12:04 pm there were two employees behind the counter and another patron in front of me. One employee on the phone taking an order, the other employee walked out to the seating area (apparently a server). Once the employee on the phone ended the call she proceeded to assist the patron in front of me. One of the kitchen employees walks out and places my order on the counter (unaware it was my order). The employee (cashier who turned out to be Carol) that was on the phone proceeds to assist everyone and failed to acknowledge me. 12:11 pm I then stated to her I am here to pick up an order and she starts speaking to me in a rude and aggressive manner. Tells me I was on the phone and she was waiting for me to complete my call. I told her I just got on the phone two minutes ago, my phone counter showed 2 min, 11 sec and I was never acknowledged by her. I watched her take a phone order and assist several others before I spoke up. She proceeds to tell me well you were on the phone. My response was I am highly capable of multi-tasking. Carol provides me credit card slip to sign and then states let me just pack your food so you can get out of here. My colleague was on the phone and heard what was going on in the background and asked me about it. As I started explaining to her what transpired the Carol proceeds to tell me off. Another employee from the back comes and ask Carol to knock it off and suggest that I speak with the manager. I collected my order and walked over to speak with the manager Tim regarding Carol's behavior towards me. He apologized, but I am certain she will not be reprimanded in anyway for her attitude towards myself or other patrons. I mentioned to the manager that I often order from Goldberg's and there is another lady that will assist (she may be a manager). I say all of this to say, I was in no rush but just wanted to make Carol aware that I was there to pick up my order. It is only a matter of time that Carol's behavior will affect their bottom line... P.S. I did not mention this to the Manager today - About a month ago I placed and order and the lady failed to enter my order and had no order for me on arrival. I made no issue about it and she was very apologetic and discounted my sandwich (which was not necessary) I told her stuff happens and patiently waited for my order. However, based on today's experience I am not sure I will be eager to return. I posted this to their Google page when it transpired (February 2020) and forgot to post it on Yelp.

Yelp
Sadly I have no pictures as my phone was nearly dead while dining, which is a shame as the food was on point! I grew up in NJ and "Jewish" delis were everywhere. Flash forward with moves to California, Texas, Nashville, etc and you can see where I've longed for a good deli over the last 20 years! Was craving a half-sour pickle and some corned beef while on a business trip to Atlanta recently. Looked up on Yelp and Goldberg's came up. You walk in and one side is a deli with bagel racks, cold cuts, smoked fish, etc. The other side is a working restaurant with seated dining and table service. I chose the restaurant side. I ordered a hot corned beef sandwich, on toasted rye. Condiments are on the table so no need to tell the server you need your mustard. It comes with one side, which honestly I didn't need, and a pickle. A little bummed about the pickle as it was sourer than I like, but hey, different strokes for different folks, right? Also got onion rings, which are beer-battered (not my thing) but very good. Again, didn't need them and I hate to waste food, but I digress. Back to the sammy. The bread was fresh and piled with lean and fatty corned beef. GREAT flavor and texture, sliced thinly but not skimpy. I did not opt-in for the larger version of the sandwich called the NY stack. I ate half my sandwich and took the other half to go along with a toasted salt bagel with cream cheese for my dinner. The bagels weren't true NY bagels, sadly, but still very good. I ate the second half of my sandwich for lunch the next day and it was still fresh and delicious. This place is great and I'm so sad my current town doesn't have one. I know where I'll be going each time I fly into Atlanta!!
