Revel in Y2K Nostalgia at This New Themed Cocktail Lounge in Hollywood - Eater LA

"Goldburger’s expansion continues throughout the Southland. Owner Allen Yelent opened a third Southern California location in Chinatown’s shuttered Burgerlords on Friday, November 8. He also partnered with Oinkster to produce their first vegetarian burger. For now, it’s only available at Goldburger Chinatown." - Mona Holmes

Google
Pretty pleasant surprise, their smashed burger might on the top 3 best in LA! And this one is located in a really charming Chinatown hall👌

Glad to have another quality burger place downtown. Burgers are the perfect size and high quality (nicely smashed burger, buns the right size, toppings not overwhelming). Fries were well made and one serving was plenty for a single person (though I wasn't a fan of the ranch dipping sauce). Overall a good value for the cost. Seating is all outdoor and a bit limited but given it's location in the Chinatown plaza there are plenty of places to sit down.

I had a hankering for a good burger. Goldburger came up as one of the best in my area. I went to the Chinatown location. The fries were good. The Swell brand ginger ale was good. The burger looked great, but it had a noticeable fishy flavor, which is not something I'm looking for in a burger that supposed to taste like beef. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning.

A fantastic smash burger in a unique setting you’ll probably only get in Southern California. Park on the street or a nearby lot and walk into a pedestrian-only shopping plaza right in Chinatown. You order from the window and eat outside at one of a few tables or standing at the counter. The menu isn’t long and each of the burgers brings something unique. The mustard-aioli on the Goldburger is outstanding, especially combined with the grilled onions. The smashed patty is thicker than you get at a lot of places, so you might be just fine with a single instead of a double.

I know that other burger places have been at this location. Having said that, I was happy to learn that Goldburger just opened up a location in Chinatown. There are a few tables nearby if you want to eat there. Everything was made to order, the fries were hot and crispy. I really loved the grilled onions on the burger. Every element in the burger was paired well. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning.

Had the signature goldburger. It’s freezing cold outside this evening but sitting outside eating that burger made all my cares disappear. Also I’ve never had a Swell gingerale before. Now I’ll drink nothing else! Great meal! I shall return.

So so good! One of the best smash burgers in LA. I got the gold burger and almost ordered a second. Highly recommended.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The cashier was kind in giving advice about which burgers suit our needs and explained the available sauces. Service was quick for a rainy day. Placed in the corridors of the Chinatown central plaza, goldsburger was such a cute little restaurant corner. From Thursday-Sunday, there's also a Thai night market, so you can have either Thai food OR YUMMY BURGERS.

Yelp
This place replaced Burgerlords. It is right next to the Bruce Lee statue by the Jazz Club. My boyfriend and I stopped by here for lunch on a sunday afternoon. We ordered a patty melt, goldburger, chilli cheese fries, and curly fries. Our choice of dipping sauce was their garlic-mustard aioli. Patty melt - 3.5/5. Idk what I was expecting, I just know I would rather prefer a bun over wheat bread for my hamburgers lol. Goldburger - 4/5 What sets the burger aside from any other smash burger is probably their garlic-mustard aioli sauce. Make it with seasame buns instead and I bet it would be delicious. Chilli cheese fries - 3/5. Mediocre. Had better else where. Onion rings - 4/5. Well seasoned and crispy! And the portion they give is enough to share for 2-3 people! Out doorseating. Not exactly sure where the restrooms are. They provide either bottled water or a cup of water from their dispenser. Would I recommend this place? Probably not. There are mucb better smash burgers out there.

Yelp
This is such a good burger. Today I enjoyed their namesake "Goldburger", which had two grassfed smash burger patties with grilled onions, cheese, topped with a in-house garlic mustard aioli sauce. Service was pretty fast, burger came out looking picture perfect, and tasted even better. Being that Goldburger was also founded here in LA, It was very fitting to be able to indulge in this fine burger while relaxing in the sun of the patio dining area. Note that there isn't really a place to wash your hands in this plaza, so try not to get too messy.

Yelp
After the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Bike Ride, I was craving something satisfying. What better choice than a burger? Goldberger's Goldburger hit all the right notes. The grass-fed beef, with cheese, fried grilled onions, fresh pickles, and their homemade garlic mustard aioli, came together perfectly in a plush white bun. It was rich, and just the right kind of messy--the kind that keeps you reaching for another bite. We have multiple locations, the one in Chinatown is a little stand with outdoor seating. friendly staff, with simple menu, easy to order.

Yelp
Really yummy burgers. Funny location hidden away. There are just a couple of tables outside. Beware of crazy firecracker popping kids outside. But if you're in Chinatown and hunkering for burgers come on by.
