Very reasonably priced vintage and deadstock t shirts, French workwear and more in a charming spot. The owner, Ludwig was super warm and welcoming, and helped my partner find her favorite new jacket. We'll be back on our next LA visit.

Golden Age is your one stop shop for killer threads! 1 of the best places to find some really unique and cool daddy-o pieces. The owner Ludwig is a super courteous and there's something there for everyone's taste. It's located right now heart of Silver Lake and you'll find out that you'll be making many pleasant returns to this vintage clothing shop.

Visiting from Seattle and was curious to check out while walking around town. My partner was looking around for some used vintage clothing and while I was loitering outside waiting for my turn (was watching our dog), Jesse @ Golden Age let me in (super nice about having a dog in tow). To start: Very pleasant store dealing in all sorts of vintage apparel. Loads of French work wear (some truly awesome denim and canvas jumpsuits and shirts), international and domestic military garments, and various throwback sweaters and accessories. Unlike other vintage stores, this place is clean, thoughtfully spaced out, and did not smell dingy or of moth balls. Very tight presentation and curation. Experience: Had a great buying and fitting experience with Jesse. He had a wealth of knowledge and we had a great time chatting about each garment we were inquiring about. He was super helpful and accommodating without a hint of attitude or pushy salesman vibe. I went with a French work coverall and my GF got a pair of vintage European army pants. Might have walked out with a ton more if they fit but damn, the other pieces were awesome. Recommendation: A huge yes. We’ll be hitting this place up again for sure. A+++ CHECK.THEM.OUT!

Excellent selections of vintage denim clothing and workwear. Ludvic was very friendly and explained the history and details of where they sourced their pieces in Europe. Will definitely be back. Fantastic atmosphere and music.

My wife and I first visited Golden Age a few months back. And since our first visit, it's become one of our go-to spots in Silver Lake. Amazingly curated vintage, and an incredible selection of vintage and new old stock work wear. Every time we visit the owner, Ludwig, greets us with a big smile, a hug and chit chat about life and style. My wife has found nearly a dozen awesome vintage tees, jackets, and sweatshirts. And I've come away with one ore two awesome jackets. Ludwig's eye for stylish pieces is the best we've seen! And one of the most valuable things is nearly every time we pick out a piece, Ludwig is there with a thought on fit or styling, and will often grab a similar piece he thinks will also work. It's like having your own stylist, without it feeling pushy or salesy. Looking for a great selection of vintage and an all around great shopping experience, this place is a must see!

This place has the most amazing collection of vintage work wear! I recently popped in and purchased the most beautiful and unique vintage work jacket. While admiring the jacket, the owner was able to describe to me (in detail) the jacket's history. He told me the jacket was constructed in Asia in the 1950's and shipped to France where the style was worn frequently by blue collar workers. Thus, it is a beautiful combination of both vintage French work wear and unique Asian details. Every time I wear the jacket I get tons of compliments because it is so pretty and so unusual! Golden Age also sells the most stunning vintage reproduction high heels. The owner designs them himself! If you have ever tried to wear vintage high heels then you will appreciate Golden Age's reproductions. They are made with all of the same beautiful details of vintage shoes but are not cracking and falling apart like true vintage shoes are! This store and the lovely man who owns it are an absolute treasure!

I've been to many vintage shops, but I can say that this one, is one of the finest shop I've ever been, very classy, tidy, the choice of clothes is meticulously made, and their clothing brand "Golden Age LA" is very good quality, their shoes are beautiful btw ! the owners are very friendly and you can tell that they knows a lot of stuff about vintage clothes, Hollywood history and cinema, very interesting ! Highly recommanded !

Absolutely love this beautifully curated store. They have the best selection of vintage denim and they're entire staff is such a dream and take such thought and care into providing for their customers. Ludvic is a sweetheart and pulled all my sizes and let me come in for a private appointment and I highly appreciate the effort. They also have lovely shops on melrose and LaBrea.
