Golden Bauhinia Sang Kee

"This space was taken over in 2021 by Sang Kee, a famous Cantonese restaurant with over 40 years of history. In addition to the same specialities from their Wan Chai flagship, the menu here boasts old-time artisan dishes exclusive to this branch. Barbecue chicken liver with pork is hard to find elsewhere; pan-fried deboned fourfinger threadfin with scallion and sea salt entices with its deep umami. The panoramic harbour views are also delightful." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing Cantonese cuisine in HK exhibition centre. Especially love their dinner set which you still can enjoy variety of food even you are just 2. Environment is nice, food is yummy, especially love the abalone with rice noodle and the lobster, the broth is definitely need to try.

The restaurant provided extensively wonderful dinning experience especially a great service with the super attentive staff! The food is great, strongly recommend the jelly fish, garoupa and e-mee noodle. Overall experience we had made it worth every penny!

Location of this restaurant is a little remote in HKCEC, however, it serves excellent food and worth the walk. Selection of dim sum is not too much, but very tasty. The dining hall is spacious and private rooms are available. Tables by the window side will have a nice view of the Golden Bauhinia Square and Victoria Harbour.

Superb restaurant tucked at the far end of HKCEC with floor to ceiling windows with a lot of natural light and well spaced tables for conversation. Every dish we tried was very tasty, each had its own unique flavour, even the fairly common vegetarian rolls (vegetarian goose in Chinese) had a smoked flavour, making it to stand out from other run of the mill restaurants. Price was reasonable for the location and quality, service was attentive. The restaurant is a little away from other restaurants nearer to exhibition halls but worth the effort to get there. It is also right next to the new Harbour promenade, about 30min walk to Central to help to digest the food and with superb view of Hong Kong cityscape along the walk.

Nice location. Quite in weekdays. Valet parking outside in dinner time. Reasonable price, taste good. Good service and spacious. A forgotten undervalued place in convention center

It is located near the exit to the Golden Bauhinia Plaza. Quite a long walk from the main entrance of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center with mediocre signs along the way. The place is small but spacious, well decorated and clean. We went for the relatively pricey $248 Dim Sum all-you-can-eat. The selection is not as big as some of the other dim sum restaurants' offerings, but the quality is good in general. While two of our orders went missing, it was relatively easy to track them down since the orders were put into a computer. Also there was no time limit, you could sit there for the whole 12-2:30pm lunch slot if you like. The waiters are well trained and speak English reasonably well. One should note that some of the choices on the menu/ordering sheet are for each piece, while others are for per person which usually have bigger portions. Recomended dishes: Soup of the day (vegetables and pork broth on the day we visited), Deep Fried Shrimp Toast topped with Sesame, Beef Shank with Spicy Sauce (a cold dish), Fried Rice with Diced Barbecue Pork and Vegetables, Poached Beancurd Sheet Rolls in Tomato Soup. Dishes to Avoid: Fried Noodles with Shredded Pork in Premium Soy Sauce (a bit greasy), Beef Short Ribs with Garlic (too much fat on most of the ribs)

The Golden Bauhinia Cantonese has been renamed G. B. Sang Kee! Opened since 2022. A table was reserved as a waitlisted table. It sounded that they are popular and was difficult to book during weekend. The Manager Jino and team had finally given us a table. We had a nice lunch if trying out some of their dishes and dim sum that’s unique to this Sang Kee branch. Service was good overall. The interior and ambience were good and comfortable! I would give it a try again although we find some dishes may not be super good as expected.
