A classic takeout staple where value combos and big portions keep regulars returning. Consistently open seven days a week (except Tuesdays), it’s an easy pick for a family dinner night.

First time there as Chopsticks was closed and was my choice to check them out, so happy I did! Cozy inside, the smell was amazing when my mother I stepped in to order food for my big family. Food is super yummy!! Much better than I could have at chopsticks and the taste of the food is YUM!!!! Loved it! Got two orders of the a and b family dinner and ran me 193$ for 8 people plus more which fed my large family! And still have leftovers 😋

Google
This is a peaceful family-owned restaurant and the best place to eat on Christmas Day. I would highly recommend their lo mein and their teriyaki chicken. I would note the sides such as crab puffs pot stickers and egg rolls do seem overpriced. The basic two side plate is an excellent deal for the price.

Google
Great food, even though I came late lunch or early dinner it still delicious 😋. The service was very nice and polite they greeted me the moment I step in so nice. I order simple 2 entrée and 2 egg rolls it's the best egg rolls ever dont miss out on that.

Google
They are always the sweetest when we come in! The portions are huge and the prices are low. It's definitely not like other Chinese restaurants, definitely more of Panda Express's cousin situation. But it's yummy!

Google
First try. This is cooked and then put in warmers, like Panda Express. Our food had been in there for some time and was not the freshest. Probably best to come early. My Kung Pao was old. It’s ok and convenient I guess. People were very nice but not a great experience for us. Been a while since I’ve been in that neck of the woods it’s a pretty rough neighborhood too.

Aydrian

Google
Friendly service and good food. The egg rolls are perfectly crisp on the outside. The crab puffs used a light and crispy wonton wrapper. Definitely recommend.

Riku Burton

Google
Amazing friendly people who make absolutely delicious food. Eat here regularly and our family is always completely happily

Google
I'd rate it zero stars if that was possible. The BBQ pork , was disgusting. It was almost black. All dried out and tough. Like jerky. The noodles were old and awful. I regret going here and introducing my kids to Chinese food at this place. The only redeeming quality was the nice staff , and the fried rice was ok. I don't get to go out to eat very often. And now I know not to go here again.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and the food is always consistent and delicious! The food is already cooked and you just choose what you want so it's very fast and convenient. The employees there are always so nice and let me choose multiple meats with the 2 entree plate. The food is very affordable and you get lots of it! They have a good selection on drink options. The restaurant is clean and bright. My favorite meats they have are definitely black pepper chicken, teriyaki chicken, kung pao chicken, salt & pepper chicken and beef & broccoli! Definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
This is a little ma and pa restaurant that has been there forever in Vancouver Wa. The inside could use some remodeling but it's not bad. The customer service is Top Tier, the owners are so nice and helpful. It is ran similar to Panda Express, with food already cooked. The food is very good if it was freshly cooked, as any food is. They seem pretty steady with orders for delivery. This is the only place you will ever see salt and pepper chicken and it's really good. $10.99 for the 2 entree plate so it's reasonable. The crab puffs at vey good too!

Johnny J.

Yelp
Customer service voice was great. But it was my first time trying this place I think I will never come back I only have it at two stars because I feel bad. I am upset I tipped and paid for 5 plates for people. My order was wrong and I can say I would rather eat at Panda Express, be warned I won't be back . They are nice people, but I wouldn't count this as Chinese food. I would rather eat at Safeway steam table for Chinese food.

Yelp
The service was great I haven't been here in quite a few years, but the food was very good. I do feel if they tweak a few things on what they do. This could be a top place to go to. All in all I will definitely be going again and would recommend this place for someone to try. I rated this four out of five stars all because I feel they need to add more flavor to the chow mein and fried rice.

Yelp
Service is lovely here. Very kind and it's clear there's a love of food and of feeding people. My personal favorite is the honey garlic chicken. Beats Panda Express no doubt. Noodles are delicious too. Everything is so flavorful and has a great texture.

Yelp
Ordered thru grubhub. Grubhub said I ordered take out now why would i do that I don't drive. Grubhub said they could not help me so screw those guys. Then I tried to call the restaurant several times to try and work something out with them but no nody answered or answering service. Now I'm out $55. Kick rocks to both companies

Sam K.

Yelp
they were completely rude to us when we called in a pick up order. we were told that the items we wanted where not on the menu, but we were ordering off the menu on the website. keep telling me I called the wrong place. also did not include our rice with our order.

Yelp
We came here after going to the trampoline park the other day. The prices were fair and they give you a lot of food but the quality and the taste was not worth it. It's kinda like a Panda Express type place not a real sit down Chinese. I picked Chinese because usually I can get all the veggies I need but there were hardly any veggie items. There was a veggie delight and soggy Broccoli Chicken and Pepper Chicken both were slathered in a very salty sweet sauce. Bleh. I couldn't eat them. Dry chow mein noodles and old fried rice, although I didn't eat it looked unappetizing. Some guy in line said he eats there all the time so it sounds like people like it and in reading some of the reviews I assume people like it because it's "cheap" but I found it to be inedible and I don't usually leave such bad reviews. It looks like they just made a lot of cheap floured corn starched chicken and pour a bunch of various canned sauces over them so they have a variety of chicken dishes. They were either too salty or too sweet. They batch cook a bunch of noodles and fried rice. I feel so bad to write such a review but I would not go back and would like to save you, the reader, a trip. I really don't understand the 5 star reviews. I had never had Chinese that I didn't like until I came here. I think the Chinese food at the local Safeway by my house is better then this and that's saying a lot!!

Yelp
Ordered online for pickup and left a 20% tip on invoice to be paid when I got to restaurant. Arrived when food was supposed to be ready and they said they had no order for me. I showed my email receipt. They then looked at their tablet that holds online orders with an "oohhh". I guess they don't pay attention to it? They asked me to wait, so I did. Then when checking me out, they still tried to charge the 20% tip (nearly 10 dollars!). I said no, I no longer want to leave a tip. They seemed surprised but removed it. The food itself was alright. Not great, but not bad. I had thought I was ordering from an actual restaurant, but this is like one of those places in a mall food court, which I guess explains the quality. I doubt I'll go here again.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
I read this review: "This place is 5 starts, not because the food is good, but because when you have a craving for bad starchy mall Chinese, this place hits the spot without the hassle of mall traffic. The food isn't good, but it's not nasty, it's just meh and that's okay for when I'm craving this type of Chinese. lykyk" And I feel like This hits it head on! The food was Luke warm and not great, but hit a certain taste you look for. I don't think I'll come here again but might if I'm really craving Chinese food. The broccoli beef: beef 10/10 delicious. Broccoli was crunchy and FULL things. Not cut into proper portions. Orange chicken: very bleh 6/10 - didn't Have any crunch to it and very low key flavor What made me upset was the 2 plate combo came with fried rice and that's it- fried rice. Just rice, fried. Am I wrong in thinking that peas and carrots, egg, chicken, literally anything besides just rice is in fried rice? That's what I was craving and was very disappointed..

Yelp
MY FAVORITE CHINESE EVER! The noodles are so thick and flavorful. The staff are amazing and so sweet every time we walk in. It feels like a better version of panda express in the fact that the food is prepared and you just pick what you want. The food is always fresh and you can request a fresh batch of anything
google avatar

Dej S.

Yelp
Got the 2-item plate for lunch. Food was lukewarm and boring. The price is good, and the people are nice, but I wouldn't go back here again.
google avatar

Zorah O.

Yelp
How does this place have 4 stars? I know it's covid, and I'm happy to overlook a few things, but this was too much. The food was truly awful. The chow mein was noodles and 4 chunks of chicken. That's it! No veggies, nothing. No dipping sauce with either the crab wontons or the egg rolls. The pepper chicken was inedible it was so salty. The general tso's chicken was just spicy, no actual flavor, just spice. Panda Express is a five star restaurant compared to this place, and it pains me to say that.
google avatar

Harmony S.

Yelp
Is this a joke?? I orderd a combo meal with sweet n sour chicken. I ordered through Uber eats. The sweet and sour chicken was fried pices of chicken with two packets of sauce.

Yelp
Best fast food Chinese on 4th plain Used to go here in college and was happy to go back with my husband years later

Yelp
Their food is good but their hours are absolutely horrible. Why is it so hard to stay open past 8 pm? I'm sitting here wanting some Chinese food after 8 and there is not a single one open or if there is, they're getting ready to close. They need to change their hours and move closing time down to at least 10:00 if not midnight
google avatar

Leonard Y.

Yelp
First time visit. Food is meh. The Sweet and Sour Chicken had a lot of batter and little chicken. The big turn off was the server. The cook just poured in a fresh batch of Broccoli Beef and the server chose to dig to the bottom and pick out hours old grey broccoli and dry beef.

Yelp
This location changed owners, I'm not sure when but it was the first thing I noticed, the next thing was how awesome the food looks, smells, and tastes! This has become our go to Chinese food spot when I'm to lazy to cook. I did think it was funny that they had a pretty empty dining room and that Barney was oN the TV. It's been a while since I saw Barney and it threw me off. Back to the local. Clean, bright, open. Constant replacing of the food on the line which is means it's fresh. Their fried rice doesn't have the pea and carrots I've found that most places out here do, including Panda Express. The orange chicken, honey garlic chicken, sesame chicken, broccoli with beef, are all wonderful just to name a few of the dishes I've personally tried. The crab rangoons and egg rolls were just ok. The crab filling in the rangoons could have used additional seasoning. I am not sure, however, if they use frozen egg rolls and/or crab rangoons. The flavor makes me think they might but for the price and taste of the other items, they don't lose a star on my account! So yummy and of course, now it's what I want for dinner lol

Yelp
Such a letdown! I tried this place out because my friend once ordered to go all the way from the other side of Portland. Thinking it must be good, I also decided to try them out the other day Bad idea! Such a disappointment. The food was a generous portion but it looked and tasted incredibly bland and depressing. No sauces, no flavor. I ordered shrimp fried rice and shrimp chow mein and they were both very, very plain. The noodles were literally just bland chow mein noodles with no sauce or veggies. Just a few onions were scattered here and there and then maybe a handful of tiny shrimps. The fried rice tasted a bit better but it didn't look very fresh. It looked like leftover rice from a few days ago. Tasted a bit better than the chow mein but the both of them were a sorry excuse for a Chinese meal. Also ordered crab puffs and they had no crab or even imitation crab! Just a tiny amount of cream cheese. The entire food gave me an upset stomach. Don't go there :( I'm sorry. I hope they improve their standards and recipes. For the price I paid, I expected at least some flavor and some veggies. This was nothing but a poor man's meal at best! Lacking ingredients and taste. Probably the worst Chinese meal I've ever eaten. Giving you 2/5 only because of the nice waitress who handed us our food. She was an older lady and very polite and courteous.

Yelp
Whenever you're craving Panda, come to this place instead! Literally everything is fire My favorite is the salt and pepper chicken. Food is always fresh and chicken always has a good crisp to it. Generous portions especially for the price. Five stars because of the overall taste, service and value.

Yelp
The food was terrible. It definitely was not fresh. The broccoli was over cooked on my beef broccoli. My chicken chow mean fried rice just looked and tasted like last weeks rice. There was one chunk of chicken and microscopic pieces of egg in it. The kung poa was not Spivey and only could find barely any red pepper and onion in it. I order from a restaurant to get food better than I can cook and have a wonderful experience. This was not it. I felt like someone couldn't be bothered to make fresh and scrounged up whatever they could.

Megan G.

Yelp
This place was a complete disappointment and not at all worth the money. Will not be ordering here again. There was no filling in any of our crab puffs. No veggies or anything in my fried rice or noodle. The teriyaki chicken was the only good thing.

John B.

Yelp
I miss the old owner so much. Genuinely loved the old owner, she was so sweet and I had a great time talking to her and so did my dad. I grew up with this place, just isn't what it used to be. Teriyaki chicken no longer includes onions, or pepper. Noodles and rice no longer have vegetables, chicken or black pepper. Tough to say what went wrong but probably will be the last time I come. Maybe in a year or two but definitely don't have the connection I used to with the owners. Sucks to see. Hope y'all are doing good though. And if the old owner sees this, genuinely miss you!

Yelp
I couldn't even wait to take a picture till after I took a bite! We've been going here for the last few years and it gets better and better every time! If you're looking for authentic quality food that's also affordable then you found a perfect spot! They'll have our business forever:)

John S.

Yelp
I don't expect real crab in the crab puffs but they don't even put imitation crab inside just cream cheese in a pastry. Safeway Chinese food is better.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite place for "fast food". Always great quality and you can't beat the prices for the amount of food you get. Not a thing has changed in over 10 years.

Ken W.

Yelp
Ate lunch at 12:25. The fried rice had a very bland flavor and was barely warm. The General Tso's chicken had no spiciness at all and was lukewarm. The King Pao chicken had some heat but the chicken tasted like it had been boiled in its own juices and the sauce tasted like a bland gravy. For lunch, I was very disappointed. Food was bland and not fresh. I threw half of it away. I will never go back there. I don't know how it got 5 star reviews.
google avatar

Sunny M.

Yelp
The food is horrible better off at Safeway Chinese food even steam rice bad can't imagine food can be so horrible
google avatar

Yelp
Golden China provides very reasonable price and huge meals. Great cost performance:-) we ordered 2 x 2 entrees combo, coconuts shrimp, and egg rolls and those were less than $40! Thank you golden china :-D
google avatar

McKenzie B.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from this restaurant. Seriously made me ill. I only ate a couple bites and could tell the food was bad. The beef was oddly bumpy and way too salty. The rice and noodles tasted burned. The crab puffs dont have crab and barely a teaspoon of cream cheese. Please do yourself and your tummy a favor and steer clear. I want to support local business but they need to ensure a much better quality.

Virginia M.

Yelp
I drive her from Salem Oregon and was pleasantly surprised! Super good food and very tasty! I definitely am coming back for more
google avatar

Raynel W.

Yelp
Wow, so disappointing. Buffet style and your entree comes with fried rice or crap Chow mein. 7 out of 9 chicken dishes are fried and just with another sauce and the other two, the meat is cut to such a small proportion that it's comical. The taste was very blah, I had the Mandarin chicken and the temperature was warm at best. We won't be back.
google avatar

Shawn E.

Yelp
The prices are high but the teriyaki is good. I wouldn't order orange vs any other deep fried chicken. They all taste the same. The notes are barely noticeable between the flavors. The noodles tasted super burnt. Like don't get those either. But that teriyaki chicken is just aoooooo good.

Yelp
We came here based on Yelp reviews...we had a party of 12 so we couldnt get into the Thai restaurant we wanted to go to. They quickly prepared more food and we came in and settled down. I would say this place probably has high reviews because it is cheap. The food was not bad...but not good either. Kind of flavorless and spicy was not spicy at all. Being that I dont live in this area, I probably will not return. But it served it's purpose for a large and hungry crowd.
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
I love this place, good food and everyone who works here is so dang nice. They are always happy to see their regulars.
google avatar

Angelica A.

Yelp
It saddens me to write a 2 star review, because my fiancé who picked up our take out, insisted that the workers/owners of this restaurant were so so nice and went out of their way to make some dishes fresh that they were out of. That being said, it was the worst Chinese takeout I've had in a long time. I got the fried rice and orange chicken. The sauce had 0 flavor, no taste to either dish. The fried rice had nothing in it but one or two single green onions. My parents who were in town, ordered sweet and sour pork and beef broccoli with chow mein. We all tried each others dishes, but found no flavor in any of the dishes. Pretty disappointing
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
Stopped here not really expecting much and was surprised by how delicious the food was. The noodles taste so light and "clean". I even asked the owner and she said she uses a special oil and do not reuse the oil. The pineapple beef just melts in your mouth! As I am writing this at 1:38 in the morning I am wishing it was open to go get some! Lol The place is very clean and I like how they have the setup for the fortune cookies. Only reason for not 5 stars is I was not a fan of the sweet and sour soup. Felt it was bland, or maybe the other food was just that more amazing.
google avatar

Francis L.

Yelp
This was my husband's and I's first time here and I have to say it was PHENOMENAL the food was delicious my husband and I both got the number two, I am not sure what he got for his entrees but I got the chicken chow neon, the sesame chicken, and salt and pepper chicken. We also got pot stickers, crab puffs, and coconut shrimp. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted so DELICIOUS, I highly recommend coming here the food is wonderful and amazing!! I will definitely be back :-)
google avatar

Carlos A.

Yelp
Our new favorite place to go. A small family owned restaurant with a buffet and cook to order. All meals delivered in to go containers which keeps cost down. As we've got to know them, they've even started bringing in non-meat options. Large portions of fresh veggies. A definite must go to for dine in or take out. Lots to choose from even for meat eaters.

Christina T.

Yelp
The staff here are really sweet and welcoming, but I was disappointed with the quality of their food for the most part. I came here on a Monday evening around 6:30 pm expecting fresh items on the steam tables. I had to wait for the order of pot stickers, which was fine. They were amazingly delicious! The rest of my selection was unfortunately just mediocre. The orange chicken was on the stale side and tasted as if it had been sitting out since the beginning of the day. It had the true zest of orange, so I believe that it would be delicious fresh. The kung pao chicken was "meh," and nothing to write home about. I'll definitely try this place once more closer to when they first open for the day to see if the food is fresher and of better quality. Updated review coming soon.
google avatar

Randy L.

Yelp
Okay. Great, quick delivery. But the food is just okay. Not much distinctive taste difference between dishes. It's okay.

Candace Y.

Yelp
Honestly, terrible. We went here after seeing that the overall reviews were good, but genuinely heed the recent bad ones. Taste is bland nothing great, also not distinctly "chinese" in flavor, but that's excusable. The main gripe is that not one of our three orders were correct. In addition to that, anything including chicken was mostly breading, very little chicken, and the "orange chicken" was covered in a sugar like glaze crust that was absolutely disgusting. The General Tso's chicken was ridiculously flavorless but incredibly spicy, if that makes any sense. The fried rice was edible but had nothing in it, the only difference between this fried rice and white rice was the color.
google avatar

Jill G.

Yelp
This place is the bomb.com! I call it the subway of chinese food. The salt and pepper chicken is must. The portions are generous and the workers are so friendly :) GO!!

Janeth J.

Yelp
The food is great! Prices go with the amount of food you get! I recommend this place 100% Heads up it closes at 8pm not 9pm!!
google avatar

Lois C.

Yelp
I wanted to like it. I read the reviews that it was better & cheaper than Panda. I thought the person who reviewed it and gave 1 star might be a food snob because there were so many good reviews. I try not to say anything at all unless I have something nice to say like my mom taught me. So, here's the good - the service was very good, friendly, even kept my food warm while I waited for crab puffs to be made on the spot. I had the orange chicken, sesame chicken & chow mein noodles. The other reviewer who said there was a lack of flavor was pretty accurate. The orange chicken did have some orange flavor, but there was so much breading & hardly any chicken that pretty much it was just a sweet flavor. The sesame chicken was pretty much the same; lots of breading, hardly any chicken & the flavor was just sweet. The chow mein was ok, but again, lacking in flavor. The crab puffs were chewy and pretty hard by the time I had them at home. They did this cool thing with the container cutting out a square on top which I though would render them delicious rather than soggy by the time I got them home. No such luck. Maybe I just live too far away & they would have been better eaten on the spot. The filling was tasty and they provided plenty of sauce to go with them. Maybe it was an off night for them, I hope so but, I don't think I would go back to find out. Lastly, the directions in Yelp are incorrect for this place. They tak you to the intersection of Brandt & 4th Plain. It's more than 1/2 mile east of there on the north side of the street at the intersection of Stapleton & 4th Plain.

Yelp
I've been eating at this establishment since I moved here over 10 years ago and ever since then I won't get Chinese takeout from anywhere else in Vancouver. Always friendly service and amazing food!

Chris W.

Yelp
I was so disappointed in the quality, or complete lack there of, of the food. Delivery was awesome. Food? Blech... any restaurant can have an off night but I'm not willing to give Golden China a second chance.

Mercedes S.

Yelp
I love this place! I love that their noodles and rice and most entrees have no veggies. Great price for a ton of food.
