Brand New Eateries to Check Out in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"A stylish restaurant offering both “modern” Vietnamese dishes and “traditional” Chinese food — expect deconstructed pho (noodles, broth, and meats served separately), Hoi An chicken rice, stir-fried lobsters, and wonton noodle soup." - Cathy Chaplin

Excellent traditional Vietnamese & Chinese foods with a classy flare... everything is tasty with authentic flavors... can't go wrong with any choice. Service is quick and courteous. Price is good for the quality of food and service.

Our pho and bun bo hue were decent. Vietnamese and Chinese Food, very 626 diet haha They take credit card. The waitline is fast. FYI, Back booth seating by the restroom is very tight. As a pretty small person, I barely felt comfortable to sit into one side of it. The other side was just good enough for my SO, taller person. $5.50 Pennywort Juice. They ask for sweetness, I said light and ended getting a drink with taste like no sweetener. Maybe I'll just put regular. $16.50 Golden Delight Pho (Stone Bowl). $15.50 Bun Bo Hue. Says 2 spicy out of 3. Its probably good for someone who does like medium spicy. It's more of a mild yo light medium person and I barely was able to enjoy it.

Google
Very authentic Vietnamese food, and they also have another full menu with Chinese food. We had the egg rolls which is very good. A lot more options on noodle compare to other pho places. The seafood udon is interesting and the fermented fish noodle is also very tasty

Google
This restaurant is known for its quality and service. Dine-in is always perfect, pho in the hot stone pot keeps the broth hot until the end, flavorful without a strong MSG taste, and portions are big. Their hủ tiếu trộn sauce is also really good. Takeout, however, isn’t as great (quality drops a bit, though packaging is always neat). Make sure to reserve a table on Yelp to avoid long waits.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. As shown in the photo, we found a bug floating in our soup. When we informed the staff, there was no apology, no explanation, and no proper handling of the situation. The service felt indifferent and unprofessional, and even the manager didn’t seem to care or offer any meaningful response. The service throughout the meal was already disappointing — no one checked on us, and when I needed napkins, I had to get up and grab them myself because no staff offered any help. We are not trying to damage the restaurant’s reputation, but food safety is something that should never be ignored. I sincerely hope the owner sees this review and takes responsibility for improving the hygiene and service so that future customers can have a safe and pleasant dining experience.

Was out and about in the San Gabriel Valley today. Stopped by this restaurant called Golden Delight. It’s a Vietnamese place that also makes Chinese food so they have two menus that you can order from. We ordered mostly Vietnamese. Two different kinds of Pho and some Vietnamese egg rolls, which on the inside have meat and rice noodles, etc. You wrap the egg rolls inside lettuce with mint leaves, cucumber, sweet radish, etc. and then dip into a slightly spicy/sweet sauce. It’s heavenly when it comes to the flavor and healthy because of all the veggies, which I do love about Vietnamese food; all the veggies and spices. It’s currently my favorite kind of food. Disappointed in that Golden Delight only gave us one tiny bowl to share with the dipping sauce. That bowl looked like it was meant for a really small child. I overheard the people in the booth next to us ask for additional lettuce because they were three people and their six egg rolls came with three pieces of lettuce. The waiter told them “umm, if you want more lettuce we have to charge more.” He said it was about two dollars per piece of lettuce. 🤣 I was afraid to ask for another tiny half filled bowl of dipping sauce. I also got from the menu what is called crab claws, which sound better than it actually was, especially when you factor in the price. The food was great but they were very stingy on certain things and charged too much on any kind of extras. Those crab claws were $8 a piece. I would say they were only worth a $1.50 for two because the meat inside was imitation and only the claw was real. 😂 Without the crabs, the meal was excellent but not worth the price. When we went to Vietnam earlier this year, if we paid $90 for a meal, it would’ve been three times the amount of food you see in the pictures and enough to feed six or more. And asking for anything extra was gladly provided for free. Again, the food was good but I can’t say I’ll be in a hurry to return. My wife thought the overall look of the restaurant was really nice. She almost got stuck in the bathroom. Some issues with the door 🤣 but overall it was cool. I can’t give it five stars. They should be more forgiving on the little things like requests for more lettuce. If someone buys six egg rolls then it shouldn’t be a stretch to give them six pieces of lettuce? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Google
A restaurant where you can enjoy both Chinese ad Viet dishes. They have variety of foods that you can choose from and you won't get bored easily. Overall, the food that we ordered was delicious. Nothing was a miss.

Google
Viet? Chinese? Get you a (wo)man that can do both. I loved this place, decently attentive service but emphasis on the food over everything else. Let the food speak, and it did: -Kung Pao Beef - wonderfully velveted, delightfully soft with excellent spices / peanuts. Best dish. -Hainan Chicken Rice - $1.50 extra for dark meat, my friend thoroughly enjoyed it. -Viet bun thit nuong - classic. The eggrolls were way better than the grilled pork, but the vermicelli and sides were delicious. Reasonably priced, easy parking, and will come back to try more!

Yelp
On Christmas Day 2025, I finally decided to give this restaurant a try. So far, I've dined here twice, both for lunch. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the grilled pork and egg rolls over vermicelli. The egg rolls are so good, and the fish sauce is just perfect! My second visit I ordered seafood egg noodles, not as good as the first, but I still gobbled it all up. The waiters are friendly and attentive, as we never had to ask for refills on iced water. Upon request, they served us hot water with lime. The seating areas are quite spacious with booths and chairs. Relaxing instrumental music was playing, not too loud that we could actually have a conversation. Parking garage is very limited, that I had to park on the street. However, free parking is always very nice and highly appreciated, as I really hate paying for parking. One thing to mention, their house chili sauce is soo amazing!!

Yelp
I don't know. This place felt like a solid 3 to me. We parked on the street on a Friday night around 7:15. There was no wait. I ordered the pho with double brisket and rare steak. The pho was okay. I didn't think the broth was flavorful enough. However, this place gives a GRIP ton of meat! Oh my gosh their portions was huge. I also ordered the egg rolls. Careful, they come out really hot! Egg rolls were good. However I can't say amazing... it was too hot for me to decide and I probably burned my mouth a little bit lol I also ordered the red bean with coconut milk. Just to try. Wasn't too much a fan, but don't take my opinion into account. I don't normally drink this and don't know how good/bad it is compared to others. Service: it was... okay? They came by quite a bit to drop off our food, but after that, I didn't see our server much. It was fine with me until we asked for boxes. Usually you would assume your check will be coming but no. And no return to ask if we wanted it. The restaurant was already closed, so you'd think they want to get us out. Nope. They really let everyone take their time and eat. So I had to flag down the waiter for our check as well. I guess this could be good or bad depending if you want to stay after hours? Otherwise, restaurant seemed clean. They serve Chinese food as well. This was my first time so we didn't try any of the Chinese food yet.

Yelp
Visiting LA and was recommended this place! The inside was definitely a little fancier than other pho restaurants I've been too but still casual! They had a mix of viet and Chinese food. They were super organized and efficient with the wait! They were also pretty attentive since they had quite the wait outside but we didn't feel rushed at all. Now for the food, I got the Pho Dac Biet in the stone bowl and they do give you a pretty good portion of meat, but I felt that the bowl was a little small and crowded especially when I added the raw meat and noodles in (I didn't have room for my veggies) but overall it was good and clean! I would probably just get the "pick 3" in a ceramic bowl next time tho. My friend got the Bun Bo Hue and said it was really good! And the egg rolls were great as well! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Golden Delight is a local restaurant that offers both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. I've been here a few times and every time, I order from the Vietnamese menu because it's that good. Their Vietnamese food is delicious and I would recommend trying it. Hot Stone Pho: Excellent dish, with the star being the rich and flavorful broth. Serving the pho broth in this hot stone bowl keeps it piping hot for much longer than a standard bowl. The portion size is quite generous, as the pho is served with a variety of meats: rare filet steak, brisket, tendons, beef balls, and tripe. Golden Delight Noodles (Hu Tieu): Comforting bowl of noodle soup. I believe you can choose between egg noodle or rice noodle, either one is great. It contains a lot of various meats, including shrimp, ground pork, chashu, squid, and fish balls. This is a good option if you want something lighter, as the broth tastes nice and light. Ground Shrimp & Minced Crab Meat in Tomato Soup (Bun Rieu): A hearty noodle soup with shrimp paste, crab cake, and pork blood. The tomato-crab broth tastes sweet and tangy. The rice vermicelli noodles are smooth and slippery, a wonderful complement to all the ingredients. Adding bean sprouts to this is a must. Egg Rolls (Cha Gio Chien): Best appetizer ever. The outside of each egg roll is super crispy, while the filling inside is savory. I suggest wrapping the egg rolls in the lettuce provided, which adds a nice refreshing taste. A side of fish sauce for dipping was served alongside the egg rolls, but completely optional to use. Grilled Pork Rolls (Thit Nuong Cuon): Not as yummy as the egg rolls, but still a decent appetizer. These rolls are filled with grilled pork, vermicelli, pickled vegetables, and lettuce. This is a good choice if you prefer something soft and chewy instead of crispy. My husband and I will keep coming back here for sure. Food and service are always on point. I'm also a fan of the clean and modern ambiance. There is a small underground parking lot, which can fill up quickly. Not an issue though because there is also plenty of street parking.

Yelp
Came in on a Monday afternoon thinking oh yay! Lunch specials! Nope, came in on Columbus Day, a holiday. Doesn't count. So beware of that! Haha Anyways, we had a very good lunch experience. All the food in my opinion was very good. It came quite quickly and a portion sizes were good. It was for three people. I would highly recommend to come back here. Casual dining experience , limited parking in the back/underground (you can use street parking in the neighborhood), pricing was decent, service was good. It seemed like many of the workers speak many languages. At one point, we were speaking to one of the workers in Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Vietnamese .

Yelp
As you're waiting for your food, you can hear instrumental pop songs. It gives you a classy Chinese food decor. The customer service is pretty good. This restaurant has both Vietnamese food and Chinese food. A good mix! You're able to pick 3 meats. I got tendon, brisket and fatty steak. I can't help it! They give you a choice of either a regular bowl or a stone bowl. I got the stone bowl which was $2 extra. I didn't mind. I also got the spring rolls and they don't skimp at all! I saw that on their menu they even have dark chicken pho! Are you kidding me? I'm gonna have to get this next time.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and food is always fantastic. Ordered pho with tendon, tripe & flank steak. Broth was delicious & they did not skimp on the amount of protein. Very nice restaurant with clean restrooms.

Yelp
Love the options here. They have a Vietnamese and Chinese menu. Hu Tieu is good here!! They are also the only place I've seen that has thit kho on their menu! Gets busy but can easily find parking in residential.

Yelp
Great service and even great food, no wonder this one is always more packed than the 2nd location. It has more choices and variety type of food. Love this one more than the 2nd one since it has more Chinese food. 2nd location is more traditional Vietnamese dishes and more pho types. Will be back to ty more of the Chinese variety more next time.

Yelp
Second time coming back to Golden Delight & this time was just as good as the previous time, if not even better. Parking here is free but the underground lot is not very spacious and is often filled to the brim. If not the underground lot, I recommend street parking as it's also free in this area. This time around, I took my lovely wife here for dinner & since we we're quite literally craving some delicious food. We waited around 10 minutes as the restaurant was pretty busy, pretty quick for a party of two. Service was pretty decent as we were seated, accommodated to, and ordered within around 5 minutes. We ordered 4 menu items and that didn't take long to come out as well, very fast service. 1. Imperial Rolls (Egg Rolls) - (6pcs) This is by far the most amazing egg rolls I've ever eaten. Super crispy, crunchy, and it's great that it comes with cucumbers, lettuce to wrap the egg rolls for a "healthier" taste. Super delicious and very well cooked. Fish sauce is also provided for some extra kick of flavor. In my books, this is a must try dish when coming to Golden Delight. 2. Hanoi Style Egg Noodle Soup I asked for thin cut styled noodles for this dish and when it came out, there's a lot of toppings, very soupy, and the noodles are very high quality. Not sure what disclosed the scent but the broth had that comfort, rich feeling. In my opinion, it's the perfect comfort food for any type of day. 3. Ground Shrimp & Minced Crab Meat in Tomato Soup (Bun Rieu) - My wife ordered this dish and it was also filled with toppings. Most notably, the pig blood curd which was a surprise in the dish. The tomato broth really brought out the hot pot style in the dish. Love the presentation for this dish, definitely on my try list the next time I visit. 4. Grilled Pork Rolls - (3pcs split into halves) - Similar to the egg rolls, this was also super delicious. Of course, a bit more dry than the egg rolls since there's no lettuce to wrap it, not needed of course. Filled with pork and a various style of ingredients, the pork rolls is very savory and chewy. Highly recommend as a substitute to the egg rolls if you prefer something that's more on the chewy and soft side. Overall, this is one of the best quality food places of all time, clean interior, a lot of classic decorations, fast service, it's literally a golden delight, will be back plenty in the future.

Yelp
I have always wanted to try this place out, but the waiting line has always scared me away. To be fair, the wait wasn't too bad, we had 5 tables ahead of us and we only waited about 15 minutes. The staffs are all very fast paced and very friendly. The food served extremely fast, which probably helped with the waiting time. Overall, the food that we ordered was delicious. Nothing was a miss. Beef Brisket Stew (B kho): it will come with noodle, rice, or baguette. The beef is nicely seasoned and stewed. It is mostly savory and the meat is very tender. The portion is great for the price. Sweet & Vietnamese Hot and Sour Soup with Catfish: I'm not a soup person, but this is a must try dish. It's amazing. The sweet, sour, and hot perfectly balanced out. There's an interesting combination of tomatoes, fish, bean sprouts, pineapple, okra, eggplant, and fish. We ordered a small serving, but the portion is huge. Highly recommended. Shrimp with Garlic Sauce: Another amazing dish. The lots of shrimps and the size is pretty good for the price you pay for. There's bamboos, wooden ears, carrots, and snow peas which add a nice crunch and variety to the dish. Definitely worth a try. Ong choy w/ garlics: A veggie dish that can hardly go wrong. It's greatly made, but the other dishes are too outstanding and unique, so this made it seem average. BUT still a great option. I would definitely come back to try out more options. There are a lot more options here compared to #2. The parking lot is small and crowded, so may have to take come time to find a parking space. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The restrooms do need some extra cleaning throughout the day.

Yelp
I love this place!! Its my second time here and we got the bun cha gio thit nuong & pho. Both portions were huge and tasty. Eggrolls were super crispy and flavorful (8.5/10) Pho had alot of meat, lots of noodles and great broth (8/10) Service was fast and attentive. Lots of seating inside. Would come back again!!
google avatar

Yelp
Perhaps some of the best pho, cha gio, bun rieu you can get without making the trek to OC! Been here three times in the span of 1 month...and it is definitely worth the drive from LA. - Stone pot pho is amazing, some of the best broth I've tasted - light but so incredibly flavorful and they serve the noodles and some of the beef raw. Most tender beef!! So delicious. - Bun rieu - flavorful, clean, and generous with the crab meatball and rib portions! - canh bun - also a nice seafood/tomato broth that's pretty clean! Thicker rice noodles and also v generous with the fishballs, Pork trotters - cha gio - probably the best I've had in the states - crispy and proper filling! Served with a healthy portion of veggies and herbs! The staff is super friendly amidst the bustling crowds, and bonus points for the interior being clean and bright! Highly rec and I can't wait to be back

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! There is always a wait on the weekends but the line moves at a decent pace. (If you wait outside, you can people watch all the bad driving happening on the main street. It definitely helps pass the time.) If you like piping hot pho, the hot stone pho is for you. I usually order the bun bo hue and it always comes with a generous amount of the bean sprouts, herbs, and cabbage. The Vietnamese menu end at 7:30PM so keep that in mind when you make your plans. The staff are generally very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are decently clean in my experience. There is an underground parking area but there aren't many spots. Street parking is available but you might have to walk a bit.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice clean restaurant with really friendly service. They have 2 menus, a more authentic menu and more americanized menu. My boyfriend and I decided to try for authentic food. It was good, but maybe a bit adventurous for us. The portions are huge which is great. We also got the iced Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious! I would like to come back and try something new in the future.

Yelp
Hot digging doo. This was was soo good. We were there for early lunch. Authentic and delicious. Clean place with attentive service. Even have the pandan tea, unsweetened, but refreshingly great. Can't name the noodles we had but every one we had was soon good. Tip: come early or be prepared for a wait

Yelp
A beloved neighborhood gem, Golden Delight masters the art of Vietnamese-Chinese cuisine with authentic flavors and comforting dishes. There's a reason diners gather in front as soon as it hits 6 p.m. on weekend evenings to wait for a table. Every dish my husband and I have tried here so far has been--well--delightful! The restaurant is best known for its stone bowl pho, which comes out sizzling hot and remains that way throughout your meal. If you're trying it for the first time, the Golden Delight pho comes with all the fixings like brisket, tripe, tendon, beef ball, and more and is sure to impress. But if you're not in the mood for pho, the Vietnamese crab udon, braised pork belly, and bun rieu are all excellent choices and come generously with plenty of toppings. Surprisingly, the restaurant doesn't feature that many appetizers on its menu but makes up for it in quality, judging from the delicious egg rolls we tried. Service has always been prompt; we're always in and out of there pretty quickly because the waiters are attentive and quick to tend to any needs. The prices are reasonable, so if you're craving something delicious with a casual, unpretentious, but bustling vibe, you'll find it here at Golden Delight!

Yelp
Pretty solid pho spot! On a Sunday around 11am we didnt wait too long and were seated quickly. Service is quick and attentive. We ordered the stone pot pho and a regular pho! We all agreed that it needed more noodles but we all appreciated the portion of meat. Instead of pho though I got the Bun Bo Hue and it was okay! I like that they give so much various meats but I found the broth to be a little too sweet for me, however it doesn't taste salty and it is more clean broth so I still enjoyed it! We also ordered a side of egg-rolls which we finished but we found them too peppery. The fish sauce also more on the sweeter side.

Yelp
I've been here many times but this is my first time getting to go! I cannot say how much I appreciate their packaging and care in providing the highest quality pho to go I have ever had. First of all, I called in to order and they were really friendly and helpful. Asked my basic information like name, order, and told me how long it would take to prepare. I ordered 2 pho đặc biệt and 1 oxtail pho. Parking is a bit tight underground but if you go someone they can just drop you off real quick right off Garvey on the residential street. There was a line outside but pickup was fast convenient and easy. There's also umbrellas and chairs on the patio which was nice for the people waiting outside. When I got home, I opened the plastic bag and everything was so nicely packaged. Soup, sauce, vegetables, and dry ingredients were separated. I'm the dry ingredients, cooked meat, raw meat, and noodles were separated in their own bags. Noodles were also not cooked yet! Just boil some water and you get the freshest to go pho noodles. If you can make instant noodles, you can make this haha. Then just assemble based on your liking. There was SOOOOO much meat that we were able to split it into 5 portions from 3 lol. The meat and all the ingredients were really high quality too. They are also very generous with the herbs and vegetables. Vegetables were super fresh and strong. So fresh my mom decided to plant the mint and basil stems again to grow more! Taste was great, just as you would have it dine in. They really put a lot of care and thought into creating the same experience at home. The packaging is excellent with very small details such as the lid has a safety mechanism so everything doesn't spill. Their utensil packaging was super nice. I didn't know I ordered at a fine dining establishment. Hell, not even high class restaurants package your to go orders this well. Exceeded my expectations. I will 100% come here again even if it is to go.

Yelp
This has been my go to spot to take my parents when they are in the mood for Vietnamese food. Golden delight has two locations but this is the OG spot. Parking can be hard during busy time since its only street parking and a small parking lot right behind the restaurant. Golden Delight offers two type of menu, you can pick from Vietnamese or Chinese dishes. I tend to lend more to the Vietnamese menu. My mom loves the fermented fish vermicelli soup called bun mam. Its a smelly dish but its really good. its hard to find a restaurant who makes this. This dish is only offer on the weekday. All their soup dishes have been a plus for me. I enjoy their pho in the stone bowl which keeps my pho piping hot to my last spoonful. Service is good. Overall, a great place if you're craving for some soupy Vietnamese food.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp Elite event and liked it so much I came back! Hoped to arrive before the lunch rush and was able to grab the last table before they started queuing. Service was super friendly and very efficient; menu has plenty of options, but sadly I was a party of 1 and could only order 2 items. Started with the fried tofu, but it was a little light on taste for me. They were perfectly fried though; crispy, slightly chewy, and hot and soft inside. Also a huge portion. Was planning on trying the pho, but it was warm out and I still ended up with the everything vermicelli; this was the best option for letting me eat some egg rolls too. This was still delish! The egg rolls were crisp and so good. Need to come back and try the other stuff!

Yelp
Straight out of the gate, the ambiance of piano covers of popular radio songs gently playing in the background & well, brightly lit spaces was incredibly soothing and welcoming for us first timers. The tabletop condiment station, silverware, and presentation of the dishes supported continuity in upholding a pleasant dining experience, enhanced even more by the deep and rich flavors of the food. The pho was incredible and kept at the perfect temp to cook the add ons provided. The egg rolls, despite feeling light, packed some flavor and paired well with the mint leaves. As much as I enjoyed the fish sauce wings which had such great flavors, the bones themselves had melted into the meat to the point that some bites had mini bone shard fragments which was not very enjoyable.

Yelp
After going to #2, might as well check out #1. We were meeting with more family members and were able to get seated pretty quickly considering there were 6 of us. They do have umbrellas outside if you need to stand out there. The place opens at 9 so it's already crowded by the time we got there 2 hours later. We waited about 10 minutes. We ordered a variety of calamari, dried noodles with pork and vegetables with the dipping sauce. Very good ingredients. Their three ingredient dessert was too packed with not enough liquid. When we brought it home, had to dilute. My younger child thought their lemon iced tea was a bit too sweet for him and couldn't finish right away. Overall, worth trying out.

Yelp
4.7 stars Decided to finally try this restaurant and I was impressed. The interior and utensils were clean. The servers were really nice, but, like a lot of Viet/Chinese establishments, they need to be flagged down to order. And after serving your food, they leave you alone. That is the norm I'm used to and ok with. Other than that, these were the dishes I ordered: Eggrolls ($12.99): comes in 6 pieces. Tasted ok, but it isn't the best eggrolls I've ever had. 3.5/5 stars Hot stone pho ($15.49): I think they charge less if you're ok skipping the hot stone bowl. But, I wanted to try the pho with it...and I feel like it didn't make a huge difference. The broth was PERFECTION (and not too salty). The steak was nice and tender. The noodles were wonderfully soft and chewy. I daresay it is one of the best pho broths in the SGV. The noodle portion could be a little more, but otherwise, no complaints here. 4.5/5 stars Banh Canh Cua ($16.99): This had to be my favorite dish. Not only is it rare to see it on the menu in most Vietnamese restaurants, it is also rare to see it well-made & tasty. But this one...is tasty. It has a nice, silky and complex crabby/shrimpy/porky soup base and the banh canh (Viet Udon) is a soft chew. Out of all the Banh Canh Cuas I've had in LA and Orange county, this is the clear winner to me. Toppings include pig trotter, pig blood, pork belly, shredded crab meat, shrimp, cha (ground steamed pork), quail egg, cilantro, and fried shallots. My only complaint is the pig trotter being too tough for me though. 4.7/5 stars If you can only order one dish, I highly recommend the Banh Canh Cua (aka Crab Udon). I will definitely come back.

Yelp
Back again, same great taste, same great service! For some reason, there's wasn't any wait on a Saturday evening at 7pm, but by the time I left at 8pm, I saw at least 10 people waiting outside, even though the sign outside indicates they close at 7:30pm daily.
google avatar

Yelp
The good thing is they have a underground parking garage, the bad news is you have to walk up that same driveway to get to the restaurant (not easy if you have mobility issues, we brought our auntie who had a disability placard). We must have arrived just before the lunch rush, and were seated almost promptly. Food was good, portions were generous for the price (as compared to the Bay Area). Would definitely come back and try more items, the rotating photos of dishes on the big screen looked tempting!

Best Vietnamese spot in Rosemead! I forgot to take pictures of the entire spread, but my new favorite is the (deep fried) Salt & Pepper Eggplants! I didn't even know it existed before this, but I'm going to order it everywhere now! There's underground parking, make sure to get there early! The restaurant is super nice and modern inside. The service was fantastic, thanks for the great meal!

Yelp
Been hearing great reviews about this place and thought I should give it a try. I ordered the pork and egg roll vermicelli noodles to go and was very underwhelmed by the lack of flavors in this dish. The noodles were also underdone which contributed to the lackluster of the dish. This restaurant did not live up to the hype, but it could be because this is not one of their top dishes.

Yelp
What We Ordered: -Ice Coffee $5 -Golden Delight Pho $15.50 -Vermicelli w/pork ribs, pork balls $14.50 It has good reviews online! We figured why not give it a try! It wasn't the best pho, but it wasn't the worst. I got the Golden Delight Pho in the stone bowl which was pretty cool btw. The wife got some dish that sounded good on the menu, but she felt like the meat quality was not so good. It was bit on the rubber-y side. The coffee was not bad as well. I'm not sure we would come back as we are still looking for other pho options out here in the SGV area. We like the Golden Deli the best so far!

Yelp
My family used to go to golden deli for pho but with the price increases, we ventured out to golden delight and was pleasantly surprised with the good food and service here. The golden delight pho is solid and comes in a hot stone bowl that helps keep your broth warm much longer than regular bowls. Generous amount of noodles and meat and the bean sprouts and herbs were fresh. We also tried the vermicelli w grilled pork and eggrolls (bun thit nuong cha gio) and it was good as well. The eggrolls are nice and crispy and pair well with the grilled pork and veggies and herbs. Parking: small lot in the back with some spots underground. Would be difficult during busy hours. Theres also street parking but dont leave valuable items in the car since that area can get sketchy

Yelp
This restaurant is known for their hot stone pho but their hainan chicken rice caught my attention. For $15.99, it was delicious, juicy and flavorful, I throughly enjoyed this dish. They provide three types of sauce you can dip your chicken into and my favorite one is their sweet soy sauce. It also comes with their chicken soup and I really liked that too. Service was quick and efficient. No complaints from me.

Yelp
I went here afternoon time. Food was great, service was good but the server kept trying to speak to my mom in English and she spoke Chinese and it was weird because I couldn't understand him either. But other than that weird encounter which I thought was funny. We got the seafood noodle bowl and another noodle I believe was vermicelli noodles with beef. The inside of the place is clean and very modern. But I do have to say parking here is always the worst though as there is limited street parking and the parking lot in the back is small.

Yelp
Came for dinner and had egg rolls, bun bo hue and House special tomato soup (Canh Bun). My favorite is the canh bun. It's similar to bun rieu but served with ong choy rather than cabbage. Very flavorful. I originally wanted the fermented fish noodles but they don't serve it on weekdays. But I guessed I lucked out cause I got to try the canh bun. My newest favorite!! Will be back for it again!! It's located in the 888 plaza with plenty of parking. Service was good. They were attentive and served us water. The interior was remodeled with tons of chandeliers.

Yelp
I came here for Mother's Day and only had to wait 5 minutes or so at 10 am. First off this is a beautiful restaurant. Seating is comfy and a bunch of artwork that makes this place look more modernized especially for a Vietnamese Spot. So interestingly enough they have two menus, a Vietnamese one and a Chinese one. We opted to order from the Vietnamese menu because I wanted to try the infamous stone bowl pho. I had the pho dac biet which came which an extraordinary 5 different type of meats and portion size was pretty generous. What's interesting is that the noodles come on the side so you can either dip it or dump it all at once. Stone bowl keeps the pho bowl hot longer which is great for cooking the raw meat that it came with. I won't say it's the best tasting pho I've had but I thought it was very good. The flavors are strong and the uniqueness is definitely something to check out. Some of the other dishes looked good as well so will definitely need to try that out next time around. Parking - It's okay, they have a small lot underground but it's quite limited. Street parking is okay as well, if anything you might need to park farther and walk.

Yelp
Thanks Yelp & TD for another fun event. My boyfriend and I tried this spot on a Saturday afternoon. We were pretty intimidated by the line that we saw outside of the restaurant but I quickly hopped out of the car to put my name down on the waiting list. FYI, you will need to put your name down on the clipboard outside of the restaurant to wait in queue. They don't have the Yelp waitlist online, just in case you were wondering. We waited about 15-20 minutes in line. I ordered the stone bowl pho dac biet. Really good broth, not super rich on flavor. Just the way I like it. Everything tasted delicious. My cup was always refilled due to the staff being attentive & checking up on you. Ambiance was nice. Enough seats to accommodate big parties. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
REALLY LIVES UP TO ITS NAME Very delightful and yummy dishes and delightful cozy environment. Ordered the beef short rib pho in the hot stone and the rice vermicelli with beef and eggs rolls. Both hit the spot! The pho broth was seasoned so well and the beef fell easily off the bone. I think it's one of the best pho in 626. Loved that the pot kept the pho steaming throughout dinner. This is coming from an OC native too. Careful of burning your tongue As for the vermicelli bowl, the eggrolls were crispy and the fish sauce was well made! Thank you! Will be coming back.

Yelp
The Imperial Rolls are extremely tasty. The Pork Chop is definitely marinated. The service was decent. The issue is the Pho. Unless you order the pho in the stone pot, your pho soup is not as hot. The bean sprout and onions will not be cooked. Overall, parking was easy to find.

Yelp
I loved how they have both a Vietnamese and Chinese menu! The stone bowl really kept the pho soup hot which made it even more delicious! The servers were very attentive and quick to help! The restaurant is small but we got seated under 5 minutes on a saturday for a party of 7. Their Ca Phe Sua Da was really strong but that's how I like my coffee either way. I definitely want to come back and try their cha gio or bun bo hue!

Yelp
I was recommended Golden Delight when I was craving good pho. I was a bit skeptical because I already have my favorite spot that I go to for many years. I decided to give it a try but I was not disappointed! I loved the pho broth. It was just right. I loved that you had an option to get it in a stone bowl. It came out piping hot! The only thing was that the parking was a bit hard to find so you would have to park right in front or in the residential area. Service is always great

Yelp
I loved that the pho came in a stone pot. Kept the soup extra hot during the cold winter days. One extra star for that. The broth was not the most flavorful and it was on the lighter side but you can taste the herbs in it. Hainan chicken was tender. Loved the spicy sauce on the table. Great service too.

Yelp
We really liked their 2nd location on Valley Blvd. and wanted to try their 1st location on Garvey Ave. to see if they're the same. However, we were deeply disappointed and completely unsatisfied with the experience here. Not only do they have awful service (servers were not attentive at all), but the food didn't taste the same here. We ordered the stone bowl pho with 3 items (rare steak, beef balls, and fatty brisket), charbroiled pork and egg rolls vermicelli, and the shrimp and pork spring rolls. They weren't as flavorful and the pho broth wasn't good. The spring rolls were kinda hard to eat. One thing that's unique about this place is they offer a Chinese menu. Their new location only has the Vietnamese menu. Not sure why this location has such a long waitlist, but it's definitely not worth the wait. Also it's hard to find parking here. They have a small parking lot with limited street parking. Save your time and just go to their new location on Valley Blvd!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday for early dinner. Around 4pm to beat the dinner rush. Small parking lot in rear and street parking. Restaurant is nicely decorated and seems newly remodeled. We were briefly seated and drink order taken. Everything ordered was delicious, nicely presented and overall worth the value for portion size.

Yelp
Amazing food. The bun Bo hue is one of the top I've ever tasted. Lots of meat and very fragrant broth. I came around 7:15 and there was a Yelp waitlist iPad to put your name in the queue. The Vietnamese menu kitchen close at 7:30 so keep that in mind. But the waiter did take our order a little after 7:30. They gave us the menu while we waited so that we were prepared to order. The Chinese menu is still available after 7:30 No pics of menu because it's lots of pages

Yelp
Pho was ok. I would order the Bbh again. The goi cuon coin was too this and made the dish dry. Cha gio was pretty good.

Yelp
This restaurant was a nice surprise. It's located on the corner of Garvey and Willard. There is a small parking lot in the back from Willard and an underground parking structure. It's allowed for Golden Delight customers for two hours. You have to walk up the ramp to get to the restaurant. The servers greeted us as soon as we walked in. Luckily I didn't have to wait for a table. The Vietnamese food menu is long. Each page has an item with a large photo and lists all the ingredients. The tableware and decor give fancier vibes. There were gold table numbers as if they belonged at a wedding. Our water cups were gold! The music was soft calming elevator music. Almost every server said "thank you" to us when we left. That made me feel like they were very attentive and appreciated our patronage. Pho was great. Vermicelli was delicious. Spring roll appetizers was amazing. They were so generous with the greens! There is a whole other Chinese food menu that I didn't even get to look at! The kitchen for Chinese food closes much later (30 min before closing), so I will have to stop by another time to try it out. The Vietnamese kitchen closes at 7:30 PM every day. Yelp
The dish I ordered, the grilled pork and egg rolls vermicelli, was well put together and delicious while eating it. After finishing it though, I felt an intense thirst for over an hour. Typically this means that a heavy helping of salts and flavor enhancers are used in the food and sauces. The flavors are good, but diners with any sensitivity to flavor enhancers should be aware.

Yelp
An absolute delight! The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and efficient with their service. A great place to take your family members! They serve both Chinese and Vietnamese food, with 2 separate menus. The food is really solid. The Oxtail Pho is a must! It's very filling and everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. It comes with the oxtail, a side of brisket to cook in the soup, and the usual veggies for pho. I also tried the Bun Thang which is a Hanoi vermicelli noodle soup with chicken, egg, and ham. The soup isn't too heavy and again, all the ingredients are perfectly cooked and seasoned well.

Yelp
This place always has a line outside, so we never stopped in because we didn't want to wait. One day we came off hours and were seated immediately. The theme is gold. Everything is gold color, water pitcher, utensils, water cups etc etc. The place is pretty spacious and can seat large families. The menu is very extensive and offers specialty items not regularly seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. The fried tofu was pretty good, bun bo hue was ok only, fried fish filet was pretty good, bun suon moc was not good. I also ordered an orange thick soup noodle which I don't remember the name, it was totally thumbs down and couldn't finish it. Also got their che ba mau dessert , pretty ok. The place is decent but did not wow me. I'll try the family rice sets next time, I love ca kho to so I'm totally interested since there are not a lot of places that offer it.
