Golden Donuts

So I went to the new golden donuts in Macomb 21 mile and north avenue Donuts are mini very disappointed. I paid $9.50 for half a dozen. Willie’s will be missed. Nice people but donuts are very small.

The best apple fritters you will ever have in your entire life. The edges are slightly crispy. The rest of it is soft, flavorful…honestly, it’s like eating a piece of heaven. when you walk in there, it is the best smell in the entire world. I’ve been to tons of bakeries, no bakery smells as good as willies. I swear to God, THE BEST! I haven’t tried alot of the other donuts from there because the only donut I really like is an apple fritter, but the rest of them look really good too and everyone else at my house eats them.

The donuts just weren’t good. Contrary to most of the reviews I have seen here, the donuts were actually fresh and not stale at all, however they just didn’t taste that good. I will say the “strawberry poptart” donut was great but 1/15 of the donuts we got just doesn’t cut it. The vibe of the customer service wast the greatest the lady at the front counter did not seem like she was having a golden day. If you are checking these reviews before you try please be mindful most are from prior to the golden donuts buy out. RIP Willie’s donuts!

I was very excited to walk into Golden Donuts and see that they are carrying the "Earl." They were good, but not quite as good as the Willie's "Earl." They were smaller, the dough was not as light and airy, and there was noticably less cream. The donut was good, just not quite the original version. The woman who waited on me was very nice.

The donuts here were really tasty! And their speciality donuts (we got the Cookie Monster) were adorable. The woman was so kind to me & my two kids. Highly recommend for taste and kindness! We will be back!

I’m so glad Golden Donuts is now closer to my house! Their donuts are seriously the best, soft, fresh, and full of flavor. And the lady there is so sweet and kind, she always makes the visit even better. Love having them nearby

You definitely don’t count calories when you go to Willie’s, but life’s short, right?! Eat a donut (or three) from The BEST donut spot! The Earl filled with buttercream and their apple fritters loaded with huge apple chunks are 2 of my favorites and my ABSOLUTE favorite is the donut filled with Bavarian cream and fresh strawberries or raspberries! 🤤😍🤤😍🤤 SO amazingly GOOD. The owner is incredibly sweet and talented, and makes all of the fillings fresh daily. She is willing to do my dozen special order call ahead within 24 hours (they can get pretty busy and sell out mid-morning most days), so I usually place my orders over the phone!

Golden Donuts bought out Willie's donuts recently. Most of the reviews here are about Willie's donuts. Golden donuts are a huge disappointment. Dry crullers, stale raised donuts. The variety is ok, but there didn't seem be any fresh items. Went on a weekday morning and it should have been good but simply wasn't. Shame that they can't live up to the shop they replaced.
