Golden Dragon - Asia Restaurant

Found this place the night before but it was a rest day. Checked reviews and all said it was excellent and I have to agree. The food was really good and was very well priced compared to other places in Davos where a typical Burger and Fries will set you back 30 - 36 chf. An courses were about 38 with rice and the portions were huge. The dim sum starter for 10.50chf is a steal and highly recommend. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient with the atmosphere very comfortable but not over done considering it is in the Michelin Guide. All I can say is go and enjoy it. It is a must.

After a week plus of German/ Austrian food I was craving for something from home. This place didn’t disappoint. Exceptional roast duck. Thank you to the chef who gave me a small dish of homemade garlic chili sauce when he found out I was from Singapore. It really hit home 😭

I have been to many restaurants that claim to be authentic Chinese food, but Golden Dragon is the only one that delivered. I was blown away by the food and service. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They were also very fast with service and the food was absolutely delicious. The highlight dish for me was their dumplings as well as their roasted duck. Highly recommend for a family dinner!

I rate the take away service: You can order by phone daily until 5 pm. You have the entire menu to choose from. You have to decide whether you want to pick up your food at 6pm or 8pm. Other timeslots are also possible after consultation. I chose the 8pm option. I was there at 19:45 and had to wait until 20:00, the food is not ready a minute earlier. I was there on a vacation, so the place was very busy and the staff were under stress. Maybe they are more relaxed outside of the vacations. The food was basically good but not 10/10. the fried rice was 7/10. the chicken sezchuan was very good 10/10. the chicken curry was a disappointment 3/10. the brittle beef was solid 8/10. the spring rolls are great. The restaurant is of a good standard. I prefer the atmosphere in the restaurant, it's great there. The option to have takeaway is very good and recommended, but you can't have it spontaneously, you have to plan in advance and pick it up exactly on the time slot. Worth mentioning: the portions are very large, good value for money

Golden Dragon offers a refined escape into Asian flavours in the heart of Davos, combining Chinese and Japanese cuisine. From the moment I walked in, the stylish wood-and-brick décor set a cosy yet elegant tone. I opted for sushi starters and followed with a memorable Peking duck main course—prepared expertly and served family style in several courses. Service was attentive, professional, and bilingual, ensuring clear explanation of spice levels and preparation techniques. The ambience strikes a nice balance between upscale dining and relaxed comfort, making it ideal for both a sophisticated dinner and a casual night out after skiing or sightseeing.

food was excellent, even my dad who generally dislikes chinese food enjoyed it. very welcoming, all stuff is very kind. portuguese staff was particularly nice and made us feel very at home. beautiful ambience, very cozy. if i return to Davos i will return to the restaurant.

Family meal, attentive staff, nice welcome, food was excellent. They made special delicious meals for a person with a MSG sensivity, great! Just ask in advance. We'll be back again soon 😊

High quality Chinese cuisine, very attentive service, special atmosphere - luckily I was invited!

In Davos Platz there's only one great Chinese restaurant. This is the real deal! We started with Hit and Sour Soup which was full of delicious ingredients including glass noodles, fungi, egg and broth. The spring rolls were crispy and dipping sauce sweet. The Shrimp in Curry was full of large perfectly cooked shrimp in a tasty sauce. The Szechuan chicken was absolutely fabulous ( my favorite) and the pan fried noodles were a close second favorite. The fried rice was not too greasy and also great. Our waiter was excellent and all in all this was a great meal.. if you come here try to get a reservation first since at 8 pm it's totally booked and no table for you. In the words of a wise ancient Chinese Philosopher" no tickee no washee" Or in this case: " No reservations no eatee "!! Try this one you'll like it!

Chinese food in the Swiss Alps ?? Hell yeah! Amazing atmosphere and even more amazing food and service. I think I will come back tomorrow night.
