I had the BEST experience at this salon! I came in for a full blonding service and hair extensions, and I’m honestly obsessed with the results. My blonde is so bright, blended, and healthy. exactly what I wanted. The extensions match perfectly, feel so natural, and add the perfect amount of fullness and length without looking fake at all. I’ve worked with Candace and Kaylan, and they are both incredible in their own way. They’re super knowledgeable, professional, and make you feel comfortable the entire appointment. They really take their time, listen to what you want, and make sure everything looks flawless before you leave. If you’re looking for someone who truly specializes in blonding and extensions, this is the place. I’m so happy I found them and I’ll definitely be coming back and referring all of my friends.

I got my hair done with Kaylan and I absolutely love it! She really listened to what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. The space is clean, stylish, and well decorated. Had my appointment with Candace and was completely blown away. We did an initial consultation to go over my hair goals with getting extensions. She took the time to recommend hair brands, length. Etc. On install day she refreshed my blonde showed me the hair, and got to installing. I’m new to hair extensions but she did an amazing job explaining the process. My blonde is THE perfect shade and the extensions match seamlessly. (I’m picky, and she gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for) She was great at educating me on after care which was something I didn’t even think of. She also gave me styling tips and recommended products for my budget. I cannot stress enough how much I loved my time with her.

I’ve followed Kaylan to several salons over the years, and I’m thrilled to now support her in her own space. The salon is gorgeous, and Kaylan is a fantastic stylist. She really takes time to understand what I’m looking for, and I genuinely enjoy catching up with her during appointments, especially about Bravo! She’s also incredibly accommodating and does everything she can to fit me in when I inevitably reach out at the last minute. I truly can’t recommend her enough.

Kaylan is the BEST. I found her on Instagram and loved her work, and her suite location was convenient for me. I booked my first appointment for a cut and highlight and am so happy I found her, she’s truly a gem. She’s so sweet and easy to talk to, and I always feel relaxed and comfortable during my visits. After chatting with her about how I was bummed about my thinning hair, she walked me through a few extension options to consider, really listening to my concerns and never being pushy. Not only is she an amazing colorist, but she also installs my extensions meticulously and efficiently. I can’t commit to super long salon visits, and the time it takes to do my highlights, extension move-ups, and a trim is totally doable. Highly recommend Kaylan, she’s a sweetheart! 💕

I’m super picky about my hair, so I was super grateful that I found Kaylan when I moved to Chicago last year! She’s always very attentive to what I request, whether it’s going lighter, darker, etc. 10/10 experience, and added bonus that her space is super cute as well 😄

Golden Hair Era is thee absolute BEST! I have been seeing Kaylan since 2011 and Candace if Kaylan is booked! From cut to color to style, they slay every time!! I moved to California 6 years ago and have tried several different stylists, all have been a disappointment in comparison to these 2! I schedule several trips back to Chicago every year just to get my hair done, as I do not trust anyone else. On top of it all, it's the cutest salon space I've ever seen!! Kaylan and Candace are the ladies to see!!

Just had my first of many visits to Golden Era. Kaylan is absolute perfection! She’s truly talented, I didn’t even have to explain what I wanted, she just worked her magic. The result was my favorite coloring ever. The custom blonding experience is unique, I’ve never loved my hair more!
