Excellent service. Food was very good and came out quick and hot. My French toast was perfect. Atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a local place. But it was very clean! It was a perfect place for us for breakfast. We really enjoyed it.

This was a nice surprise... My bf and I wanted to go to a new place for breakfast and this appeared on our Google maps. The ambience is a little louder than what I would like, but the staff is very polite, the food is AMAZING, customers in general are very welcoming and they seemed to know each other which is comforting and refreshing. The prices are reasonable and portions are a good size. Overall this is a family oriented establishment with a delicious comfort food and we enjoyed it a lot. We will come back! 💯

A local diner with a cozy and homely feel which is run by a gentlemen who has been a resident of the town and neighbor to many of the patrons for over 32 years. The menu is basic diner fare. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only and closes by 4 PM daily. Service is friendly and pleasant. It can be quite busy in the mornings and especially during weekends. Food was of good quality and as expected and accustomed to by anyone who frequents diners of all sizes. Triple decker Turkey with bacon sandwiches are a favorite of mine. They use real roasted breast of Turkey and Not deli meat slices as some places do.

This is my spot for breakfast or lunch when I want to sit down and just chill maybe eat and get some paperwork done. The staff is very attentive and food comes fast and hot. I recommend this friendly spot anytime. Never disappointed me ever and I've been coming here for many years.

Simple but good! A no-frills spot with traditional American diner options. The grits were great, not grainy or undercooked. There’s a restroom in the back and parking out front.

Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch. Friendly attentive service and good food and coffee. We ordered ham and swiss on rye as a hot sandwich and it was the best I ever had. There is limited parking in back and on the street but it is worth walking a block or so to eat here.

Monday through Friday you can see customers coming in and out from breakfast to lunch typically a good amount of traffic never too busy unless it’s a holiday or the kids are out of school. I will say that the chairs in the booths Need a bit updating However, it doesn’t change the quality of the great customer service and food you get in here.

Excellent menu choices. I had 2 eggs, whiting fish and home fries. Food Servicers were on top of their game (or I should say their plate). Highly recommend this establishment.

I lived in this area for most of my life and just now found my way into the golden grill for a quick lunch. We were seated right away and told that the kitchen would be closing soon. Despite that, we were not rushed to choose what we wanted to eat or to rushed out the restaurant. The waitstaff was helpful in answering our questions and took good care of us. The food was good and a great value for the price. I had plenty to take home for a second meal! It's a no frills kind of diner, so don't expect anything fancy. But if you need a quick bite for a good price, this is the place to go!

Todays breakfast was enjoyed at The Golden Grill Restaurant in Teaneck, NJ. It's a cute breakfast nook tucked amongst a row stores and shops on a busy road in Teaneck, but the vibe is homey and comfortable. The staff is super down to earth and have this bustling little restaurant working like clockwork. The prices were great and the food was stick to your ribs good. We wound up ordering the following menu items: - chicken noodle soup - corned beef hash with eggs and grits - Smoked ham and eggs - hot chocolate

Standard diner fare - the option for grits instead of home fries is a welcome one. And it's a mountain of grits haha.

Quick stop for breakfast in this Jersey Diner. The place was crowded but luckily no wait. They had all the classic diner options - breakfast platters, pancakes, waffles, etc. I opted for a plate of 2 eggs over easy, with a side of home fries. My partner ordered the grilled cheese with taylor ham (which reminded me of spam). Overall a great experience, service was quick and you can't beat the price.

So I wouldnt recommend this restaurant: There was over a 20 minute wait time to be seated (when we were told it would be a "two minute wait") Then it took 15 min to get a drink order Then another 20 to get a food order Then another 20 to get the actual food Then another 10 to get the bill For two people...that was ridiculous. And the restaurant was only half full when we ordered our food. It is very cheap, which reflects in the service I received. When I mentioned to the waitress that we were still waiting for our food she rolled her eyes at me. Overall very bad customer service. I will not be coming here again.

Well I hit the jackpot again while traveling. This old school diner, which has been here probably for 40 years, is owned by a guy that really knows how to make a great menu, great food, and exceptional service. You cannot go wrong with the Golden Grill in Teaneck New Jersey PS. I had chicken noodle soup one day, minestrone the next day, and then closed it out with a chicken Caesar wrap. All exceptional

Classic jersey diner, come here for all your typical breakfast fare. I've been coming here for years and I never remember them disappointing. The home fries have a nice flavor that most other diners don't have. I typically get bacon and eggs over easy with whole wheat butter toast. Always delicious and always and expensive. I will forever return to this place and I hope they stay open for many years to come.

The Golden Grill has been a staple for Englewood and Teaneck residents since my mom was a little. She's been enjoying breakfast here for decades, and with good reason. It's a community spot where you'll often see regulars stopping in, saying hi to friends and neighbors, or chatting with the owner. But it also draws a decent amount of non-regulars because of the great food. The place has a very welcoming ambiance and the prices are affordable. It's one of the few places I know that does grits very well, and it's also one of the few places I know that has sausage patties. Most places only ever have sausage links and I'm absolutely not a fan of them, so I love the fact that they have the patties. I've been going here for breakfast, on average about once per week with my mother for almost a year now. It's at the point where a couple of the waitresses know our "regular" orders. I almost always get two eggs, sunny side up, sausage patties, rye toast and French fries with water and coffee. In all honesty, there are times when the fries maybe don't come out fully cooked, or the coffee is maybe a little burnt, but overall the food is delicious, and I've never had a meal here that I've considered bad. I always leave feeling quite satisfied. And, it adds to the dining experience when the owner and waitstaff recognize you and interact with you like they do here. It's worth noting that M-F, you almost always will be able to find a table, but Saturdays and especially Sundays, you should get here early so you don't have to wait for a table (as with most diners on the weekend). I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy breakfasts here for many years to come!

Visited this place for a quick breakfast after my appointment at Corneal Laser & Eye Institute on Frank W Burr Blvd. Place had an old diner feel. The food was great, and the service was fast and friendly!

Golden Grill is my absolute favorite place to eat breakfast in Bergen county. Quick and friendly service with great food at fair prices. Really can't be beat.

Golden Grill is a warm, multi-cultural neighborhood diner. They have one round table that can fit larger parties. Otherwise, diners mostly sit either at the counter or in 4 person booths lined up in two long rows the length of the restaurant. It's never a problem for only two people to occupy a booth, even when the restaurant is busy. Owner Shimmy and the Golden Grill staff clearly want patrons to be comfortable and feel at home here. Service is fast and coffee refills are always free. They serve excellent short order food including grits, which are not easy to find in New Jersey restaurants. They also serve sage sausages, which are boiled before being pan fried, so they are greaseless. They open only for breakfast and lunch so pay attention to posted closing times. Sundays are busy so you might experience a waiting time for a table.

Middle of the day stopped in for lunch as had been a few times for breakfast. Both of us ordered the turkey club sandwiches which were very tasty! Real turkey breast with bacon, lettuce and tomato on whole wheat. Perfectly toasted with pickle (just as tasty) and chose coleslaw instead of fries. The coleslaw was too soupy but sandwich was delicious. Service with a smile.

The Golden grills has one of my favorite pancakes! Just like when my grandma use to make them from scratch as a kid. I really like the coffee too, nice and strong. My mom loves the grits. We like the eggs too! Service is okay could be better but not horrible. Small place buy Covid safe. Great prices. If I could i would give a 4.5 only because i think the service could be a little better. My mom and I will continue to come here.

Great little spot where my wife and I enjoyed breakfast before heading to holy name hospital to delivery our daughter. Super close to hospital and zero issues wity parking or waiting. Food was great with quick service from the only guy working there in the early morning. If we're in the area again, we'll stop by again. Thx

I absolutely love this place !!! Super friendly and welcoming staff with great customer service all around. Their food taste so fresh, but its the seasoning that really makes the food. You can find pancakes , waffles french toast etc anywhere , BUT their food leaves a mark man. Makes me want to keep coming back. DEFF saving this as my go to breakfast spot.

I was visiting NYC and stayed just across the Hudson River in Fort Lee, NJ. I did a quick search for breakfast places in Fort Lee and found The Golden Grill which was 5 minutes from my hotel and situated in the quiet downtown area. I ordered a Spanish omelette with hash browns, an English muffin & iced tea. All of the portions were generous and the omelette was prepared just right as were the hash browns & English muffin. Service was 4 stars (not the most attentive but friendly and accommodating) I asked if they had salsa or home made hot sauce (but was told they didn't) Since I'm from Texas I just assumed they would have salsa but it's okay. The only downside is that they charge extra for iced tea refills (maybe due to the loss of business from the pandemic??) I did notice their soft drinks are canned - not fountain (I've seen that in other mom & pop style diners. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good cafe/diner food at very reasonable prices- especially in the NYC area.

Ode to Golden Grill This has been our safe haven for breakfast for the past 10 years while in NJ visiting with my in laws. We've eaten in all capacities from dining in to take out. I can't understand why I hadn't wrote a review sooner. This trip to NJ we did cooking each day for breakfast except one day age everyone wanted Golden Grill except me as I'm Vegan now. However I obliged and took orders to get everyone what they wanted while I sautéed me some veggies and beans in house. The staff and management has always been welcoming and accommodating. We've never had a real issue here so there is nothing but Love. It's sorta like Cheers, so many regulars are always here and the staff know their orders. Funny thing is, we may go about 3-4 times a year while in town and if we walk in the know what we want which is awesome.

The Golden Grill is a classic NJ Diner and it gives the feel of an old-timey local establishment, where you meet your neighbors and everyone knows your name. The food is delicious and is comfort food at its finest. It can get crowded because it's that popular, so plan accordingly on weekends. That being said you rarely wait more than 5 minutes for a table and the staff is attentive and friendly. The food is amazing and they even deliver! I order from work all the time. They only serve breakfast and lunch as they close at 3. But the food is fantastic, Highly recommend it!!

This is another spot in Teaneck I've been coming to for years (the other is Five Star Coffee Shop on Cedar Lane) and I absolutely love this place. Definitely a typical grease spoon diner. Their breakfast is my favorite to get here but I also like their lunch. They have everything: turkey sausage, grits, whiting, sardines, steak, burgers, wraps, salads,etc. The service is super friendly as well. I've never had a bad experience here. Prices have gone up over the years, but it's still super reasonable. Lots of locals here but you won't feel uncomfortable. Limited hours - only open for breakfast and lunch unfortunately.

The waitstaff is beautifully attentive. The Chicken and waffle dish I ordered is like what my aunties made growing up. What a little treasure in bum-f*ck NEW jersey!

The prices are very reasonable and the portions are pretty good. I just felt like the food lacked seasoning. My corned beef hash was mushy and bland. My home fries had no salt and where were the peppers and onions? I'll go back and give it another chance since it wasn't terrible.

Great food but the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. It's a darn shame because the food was really good!

We are regulars at this down home grundge style breakfast joint! Their service is literally ALWAYS a delight, their food is big, tasty, and cheap! You come here for that greasy, classic, eggs, meat, toast, pancakes, hangover cure style morning where the coffee is-a-flowing and the food is-a-curing! Not only is this place cheap but their food is great! A little tip: they have a SERIOUS assortment of sausages not explicitly listed, definitely ask about them (the sage sausage is my go-to!). They also have a solid amount of variety on the menu- all the way through lunch. Although, I wouldn't suggest coming here if you're looking for healthier breakfast or lunch options, not to say it's all unhealthy but it just isn't that style of a diner. In conclusion, when you're craving breakfast-breakfast... you know that kind with melted, gooey, cheese and omelets so big they're spilling over your plate, Golden Grill it is! Another tip: There is parking in the back :)

1st Time! Found it on Yelp. Delicious home cooked breakfasts. Cheap prices, lots of food. The coffee was excellent also. Dated inside, needs work, but clean. Ladies room should definitely be renovated. Extra small, and outdated. Overall I would definitely go again if in the area.

I would have liked to give a worse rating. This is the second time going and having bad service. The first time I wanted to chalk it to a bad day. NOT TODAY! Their is SERVICE HORRIBLE. After arriving today I was given coffee after sitting for 10 minutes without acknowledgement from the wait staff. Then I was given coffee and told her I would give an order. The waitress asked me to hold a minute went to another table and took their order but never circled back. I then waited 15 minutes more ( Shane on me cause I was doing some work) and still no return visit. The wait staff cleaned other tables, brought coffee to other tables and even brought the order to the table next to me without any acknowledgement. I will not be going back there again.

A diner is the best way to describe it. This was the only lunchtime spot with indoor dining I could find in Teaneck. I was shocked that all the Cedar Lane restaurants are shut down.

I went there on a Saturday morning, and ordered a breakfast sandwich. There was a piece of string in my sandwich. I showed it to the guy who made it to me(tall, white hair, ponytail), and kept my eye on him as he made one without string in it.

I love eating here, the staff is knowledgable and knows what j like. I watch how they treat nasty customers and they are pretty professional. They do not get loud and works hard to give good customer service. This place is a gem and they've been around for years

The food was absolutely amazing!!! Sage sausage, off the bone ham and fried whiting. My husband and I enjoyed the waitress and the food. Great customer service. I will gladly spend my money here anytime

The food is not bad and the prices aren't bad. However, I can't get over the fact they don't cook with gloves on. I seen the whole staff touch bread and bacon with their BARE HANDS and put it on the plates. Especially during a pandemic for them to be so unclean is ridiculous

Everything is good & solid!! Come here every time I'm in the area! Perfect place for a fabulous breakfast without a high cost!! If you're in the Teaneck area check it out you won't be disappointed!!! Western Omelet with home friends is my staple meal!!!!

This place is just amazing, I would definitely recommend coming here if you want to eat good homestyle meals. I went here and ate a short stack of two pancakes along with scrambled eggs. The pancakes were extremely fluffy and delicious and the eggs were just superb and had the taste of originality and uniqueness to them. The service was fast even during the rush hour they were having this morning. The staff was especially nice and our server Hollie was especially great to us. I would definitely come here again and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to eat here.

This place is fabulous. My office started ordering Breakfast and lunch about 2 weeks ago and now somebody orders something from them daily. The food is definitely delivered quickly, it's the right temperature, it's always been correct, the delivery guy is super nice and friendly. The portion of your meal is worth every penny and they give you alot of food. They do offer some menu items that I still need to attack but for now and my other coworkers, this place great. I'm sure a bad experience will come along now that I wrote this post but everyone deserves a second chance. Give this place a try and support them, you will be glad you did.

This place is like eating at home very friendly even if you don't know who the people are. An the service I'll give a 12. Stop by an try them you'll see what I'm saying.

Great breakfast. Order was ready when I got there and cashier was very friendly. First time customer and very pleased. Inside is like a diner with a counter on left where u can grab a coffee and read the paper and some tables on the right where u can sit with fiends. Lol i mean friends. Prices not to shabby. Will be back to try some lunch.

Amazing breakfast every time!! The corned beef hash and eggs with home fries is the best in NJ. And the pancakes with a big dollop of butter...keeps us coming back for more! Great friendly service as well. Love this place.

My husband & I had the pleasure of having breakfast today at the Golden Grill. We are from out of town & came upon it by chance. My husband ordered the 2 eggs, ham, hash browns & toast platter, $6.00 & I had 1 egg, hash browns & rye toast, $3.95. Not only were the prices low, the food was well prepared & tasted great. The gentleman working the register & serving the tables repeatedly refilled my tea & was pleasant. The restaurant was clean looking & reminiscent of when a diner was a place to sit over coffee & enjoy homemade food instead of trying for glitz. I wish this diner was in my neighborhood!

Service sucks when you walk in the door you standing and waiting for your order they don't acknowledge you they walk past you
