THE SERVICE HERE SUCKS!! BIG TIME! The vast majority of the staff here are rude & dismissive to customers. As a fellow Jamaican, I've tried & tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but everytime it just gets worse. When I come in to buy food I don't need to hear about which employee is upset with some other one. I also don't need ppl yelling & talking over the food that they are serving me.
I've also noticed just how small the portions have become but the prices are so high. Everytime I've ordered the curry shrimp, these ppl fill my plate with rice & give me 6-8 shrimp & charge me $16 for that nonsense. I've told one of the servers that I'd like some new vegetables from the back since she'd have to go back there anyway since the container was almost empty. This lady kissed her teeth & scraped the container with the scraps of the old remainder of vegetables & gave it to me anyways then took the container to the back to get more vegetables. I think this lady's name is Annmarie (I may be getting the name wrong, but this person is not a manager because they were wearing a blue shirt). I've also seen & heard this same server having a heated argument with a customer (WHILE SPEAKING OVER THE FOOD THEY ARE SERVING EVERYONE) & telling them that they should go online & write a review like the other ppl do because she doesn't care about what they have to say & it doesn't matter to her. Well miss I am writing the review for that customer & all the other customers you've been nast to. I hope you read this. :)
I've walked in where a manager (red shirt) was in the front having a conversation with the other servers. I think her name is nikki or kerri, I'm not sure (these ppl need to start wearing name tags that are easier to see & ensure they wear the correct ones). I walked up to the counter to order, these ppl saw me, yet continued to have their conversation & completely ignored me. It took the manager about 2 minutes before she even acknowledged my presence & asked me what I wanted with an attitude as if I was bothering her. This manager looks as though she bleaches her face, she's around 5'6 and 150 pounds with curly hair.
The only average service I've ever gotten from anyone at this place were from the men that work there. I can't say good because I've never experienced completely good service here ever. When it isn't one thing, it's another. The cashier is slow as heck. Once you get your food it's another 15-20 minutes of waiting no matter what time of day it is. These ppl have no hustle. It's like they all do not want to be there & hate their jobs, but that isn't my fault. They should just quit if they hate it so much & stop taking their misery out on customers. I've given up on this place & I won't ever be back. I'll stick to Flames & Only One, & everyone should too if these ppl don't get their act together. I hope the one opening in Roxbury has NEW servers with smiling faces & attitudes that say they want to be there, or else this place will absolutely fail & go under.
There are only 2 consistently good ppl here as far as I have seen. They are 2 managers. One is a tiny little thing. She is thin, short, with natural hair & has a soft voice, she really knows how to hustle & is very sweet. The other I believe is actually an assistant manager. She is around 5'3, heavy set, dark skinned, her hair is permed, short & always pulled back in a ponytail. She is so pleasant & always has a smile on her face. She just became a manager a few months ago & she deserves it.
Golden Krust has lost me as a customer forever. I'll take my hard earned money to a place where I'm actually treated like a human being & not given an attitude as if I'm begging anyone. Tell your employees to leave their bad attitudes at home, instead of bringing it to their place of business & start handing out punishments, then maybe this place will get somewhere.
