My daughter ordered 2 calallo and saltfish. It was saltfish loaded with beans and callaloo. Basically we paid for more beans than saltfish. Since we do not use any beans due to digestive issues, I called the restaurant, and was told "that's what they sell." Nowhere on their website does it show beans are included. The picture does not show beans, and beans is not listed in the ingredients. This is deceptive practices.

Hey Heather M.

Google
I went inside to order a small oxtail plate. She asked my selection of sides (usual rice and peas with cabbage). She then went into the back and came out with my plate and a small clear plastic bowl. I asked why was that done and a cashier said they don’t put oxtail in the plate anymore. The price is up and the portion is smaller and separate from the rest of the plate. The rice and peas are salty, and the cabbage is bland. in addition to the small portion of oxtail, which are very small pieces, there isn’t much flavor. And the texture is kind of rubbery. I know pricing and food policy not the call of the staff, but surely folks can advocate in this economy. Companies have got stop trying to figure out clever ways to get over on customers.

Golden Krust – A Must-Try Caribbean Spot! If you’re craving authentic Caribbean flavors, Golden Krust is the place to be! Their carrot juice is the best milk-based drink I’ve ever had, and the bottled coconut water is incredibly fresh. The curry chicken over rice and peas is packed with rich, bold flavors, and the fried plantains are so ripe and sweet they taste like dessert! For a treat, don’t miss the rum & raisin ice cream or the Bun & Cheese—both are amazing. Plus, they even have a great display on the history of jerk seasoning for a cultural touch. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out!

OMG! Never have I ever received so much food on my plate. I ordered the ox tails, peas and rice, with cabbage and plantains and my husband had the curry goat. We ate on these plates for 2 strong days with leftovers to throw away. The flavors were wonderful and the portions were huge. Had we wanted the same thing, we could've shared one plate and still had some for later. Let's not forget the lemonades they have fresh and true to the culture. Amazing! I can't even remember what flavor I had but again my husband had something different from me and it was great also. Stop by and try this place out if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

I called ahead to order a breakfast 2/23/25 2 green banana,2 pieces yam and 2 boiled dumpling spoke with Jaleya. My daughter picked up the order and brought it home. When I opened the container it was 3 dry pieces of breadfruit and a disproportionate amount of ackee to salt fish. I called and spoke to the manager Julie who told me I have to return a breakfast that had none of the items I ordered to get a refund. I told her I lived 1 hrs away and I could send a photo of the food and receipt to get a refund she said she could not I had to return the food to the restaurant. So they made the error and then wants me to drive back for a $14 refund. I will toss this food and NEVER GO BACK, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Google
Great service and proper greeting is always appreciated. Overall, very underwhelming food. The stew beef was tomato based but without flavor/seasoning. The creamy, cheesy veggie pasta was ok-missing some seasoning. I’m disappointed…I love the history of this restaurant. I’ll try oxtails next time. The generous portions, rice and peas, plantain and cocoa bread was delicious.

We have enjoy the food here at Golden Krust for many years, but our last 3 visits the food was too(spicy) the food was too spicy we didn't enjoy it even the patties was too spicy. I think some adjustments with the recipe should be made. Until then my family and I want be visiting any more. THE FOOD ISN'T THE SAME

Google
First and foremost I had never been to any of Georgia's locations until today October 11th 2024 at 2:36 pm today. AND BY FAR IT IS NOT WORTH ANY MONEY! I ordered a large jerk chicken plate, where I was told it came with 3 peices of chicken.. which I was fine with.. as I told them that I didn't want rice, but instead extra plantains, and just the cabbage.. and the worker informed me eventually that I could only have extra cabbage, and not the extra plaintains.. as they could not substitute the extra plantains... which was weird to me, because I have never heard of this.. and was tired, and hungry as this was about to be my first meal of the day... and when I asked for a medium coke I was informed they didn't have coke as a fountain drink and only had Pepsi in a can or bottle.... and I was like ooookkay... and ordered the bottled drink.... only to get home and open my box, and be utterly damn disappointed!!! 1. 1 piece of chicken was so boney, despite looking like a peice that had meat on it, I was deceived to the point that peice should not have counted 2. I was uninformed that I would receive only 2 super small plaintains.. yet if that were the portion... they still choose to not substitute 2 extra small pieces as originally requested instead of giving me extra cabbage 3. The amount of cabbage was ridiculous as it was also mixed in with corn, green peas, green beans, and lima beans of all things!!... (if I wanted a can of mixed vegetables I would of gone and brought some at Kroger)... AND THE CABBAGE HAD NO FLAVOR COMPLETELY FLAVORLESS AND BLAND!!... my 6 month old wouldn't even nibble on a piece... it felt like I was eating a warm undressed salad 4. And for the price of $20.12 I could of gone to Zaxby and got a plate, or Popeyes and got a bucket of chicken which would have been worth it... but to day I paid for less than 2 whole peices of chicken, and a joke of plantains, and extra warm salad and a soda is a ripped off. AND APPARENTLY WAS CHARGED 0.52 cents for not wanting rice I should of looked at the reviews... because I totally want a refund... and I'm born and raised in Florida and know what Carribean food should taste like... and I'm disappointed I wasted my money

Yelp
This is always my go to for Jamaican food when I visit Georgia! I always get the same thing, curry goat, cabbage, 4 fried dumplings, with sorrel. If you are wanting some authentic food, this is your place to come to. They also serve other Jamaican things like hard dough bread, spice bun, and more. The people love to serve and it's always crowded. The place is clean and the glass display is great to see what the food looks like. If you are in Stone Mountains def come here.

Yelp
On Monday, 11/24/2025, I ordered 1/2 pan each of Brown Stew Chicken, OxTails, and Spinach Rice for our Thanksgiving meal for my family. I picked up my order on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving, after reheating the rice, I noticed that it had slime (like it was old and was to be disposed of, but the cook decided to add some leftover white rice, mix it in, and place it in the pan). The spinach rice was INEDIBLE so I had to cook vegetables to compensate. The Oxtail was hard and very fatty (isn't the cook supposed to trim the fat?) I was so very disappointed and could not believe that I paid approximately $300 for this catered food and it was an absolute MESS!! Why did the cook feel that this is appropriate? I will NOT be ordering from them again.

Yelp
Great food and customer service, always fresh, my favorite is the curry chicken, you have to get there early if you want Ox tails, they are lip smacking good

Lakeshea T.

Yelp
This restaurant surprised me due to the location. It was clean and well lit. Upon entering the employees greeted me and were very pleasant. The older lady assisted in deciding what I wanted as I just wanted carribean food but had no idea. The curry chicken is good, but the oxtails were fabulous. The restrooms were even clean. I will return for sure

Yelp
American Twist on Jamaica's staples. Very delicious food always slaps. My go to is the jerk chicken and the stew chicken. Love the fried dumplings and beef patties and pineapple ginger

Yelp
A genuine smile can change the entire atmosphere and define a customer's experience, unfortunately, that's something consistently missing at this Golden Krust on S. Harrison Rd. The food alone isn't impressive enough to justify putting up with poor, unwelcoming service. Many people likely stop here because it's convenient, but convenience should never be an excuse for treating paying customers with indifference. This is my third visit, and every time I walk in, not once has anyone greeted me with a smile or a simple "welcome." When staff finally acknowledge you, they do so with an attitude, as if serving you is an inconvenience. In an area where there's a Jamaican restaurant on nearly every corner, you'd think there would be more awareness of how competitive the market is -and how easy it is to lose loyal business. One thing I'll never do is beg for service. I'd rather throw my money out the window on the expressway than spend it where I'm made to feel unwelcome. I hope the owners see this as an opportunity to train the team on hospitality basics it costs nothing to smile and treat people well, but the lack of it costs repeat business every day.

Yelp
I had an awful experience here today and I won't ever return because of it. I arrived here at 7pm this evening and went through the drive thru. There were 3 cars ahead of me but the line was not moving at all. After 20 minutes, I finally made it to the speaker to order and I told her I wanted the shrimp curry meal, she told me she was going to check to see if there was anymore. After 1 minute she came back and continued to take my order. I waited another 15 minutes to finally get to the window and the lady looks at me and says there's no more shrimp curry. No apology no nothing, just just looked at me with this stupid look on her face. I wasted 45 minutes in line for something that wasn't even there. Upset is an understatement, because I had not eaten all day. I wasted time and gas but never again.

Bobbie M.

Yelp
The staff is very rude.I entered the store, four ladies standing around No one spoke. I had to say excuse me before anyone acknowledged me. Service area was not clean, plantains were old. I clearly said no gravy on my rice well I got a gallon of gravy. The entire time spent in the store was over fifteen minutes so much confusion. I ended up just waking out Supervision is needed at this store

Yelp
Man, if I knew this place had a drive-thru I would have come by a lot sooner lol. It's so nice to find places like this and Don Pedro, for example, that will serve up a hearty meal and you don't even have to leave your car (and it's not McDonald's!). I recently ordered thru GrubHub and decided to go with the stew pork and stew chicken for my mom and I with steamed veggies on the side and rasta pasta. The dishes come with plantains, but you can order no rice and peas like we did, if you're trying to reduce your carbs. I also ordered us the ackee and saltfish, as I've been meaning to try the dish for awhile. When I pulled up to the drive-thru I was pleasantly greeted. I was told they didn't have any stew pork but would probably have more on the weekend and was told even though the app let me order the dish, the ackee/saltfish was only served during the mornings (which makes sense as I've heard this is usually a breakfast meal). The lady asked if I could come in and pick out my substitutions, so I did. They have a nice little eating area, a hot line with most of the selections ready, a fridge for desserts, an ice cream freezer with yummy sounding flavors like pistachio and rum raisin, and a fridge for beverages. They have a 96 A health score, which is always reassuring to see. The ladies working were all super friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the stew beef to sub for the pork and got a red velvet cake slice and mac and cheese to sub for the saltfish and ackee. They almost forgot my spicy beef patty I had also ordered, but thankfully for the attentive worker, she caught it before I left! I would've been sad had that not been in the bag lol. Everything was packed nicely and securely. No leaks or spills when I checked at home. I gotta say the portions are huge here, so although it's accurate that it's a little pricier, I'd say it's worth it. The seasoning, tenderness of the meats, and overall quality of the plates were great! The cake was also super moist! This is only the 4th Jamaican restaurant I've ever tried in my life, so I'm no expert, but my mom and I enjoyed every item we got. I have no complaints. Great customer service, good location with drive-thru, and good quality food - we'll definitely be back to try more!

Yelp
First of all big ups to Ms. Pam, Ms Kay and Crew at the Golden Krust on S. Hairston! Big Up Enuh Selves!!! I haven't had Jamaican Food this good since growing up in an Caribbean community up North! As a fellow Yardee It reminds me of Ol Island women cooking on Sundays. Great variety & quality! I'm especially a fan of their Curry Goat! Most other places serve you curried bones! Thank Y'all for giving me a taste of Home! Keep Shining ! Mr. Powell, Curry Goat Specialist

Yelp
Newly renovated during the pandemic, this new looking Golden Krust is so clean, full of Caribbean (jamaican) food, bakery and beverage options, and pleasant service. They give large portions and the prices are reasonable. There is a lot of free parking in front of the restaurant. Go there today!
google avatar

Monique' M.

Yelp
Spinach patties, enough said. Lol. Their spinach patties are delightful and filling. I could eat them everyday. I have also enjoyed other menu items such as cabbage, mixed veggies, callaloo and saltfish, plantains, rice and peas and more. Golden Krust is always a solid easy choice for good quick Caribbean food.

Yelp
Who ever they got working on the drive-thru today February 5 needs to learn customer attitude is horrible. This lady literally wanted to curse me out just because I said she got a horrible attitude and this is Dave the owner of the garage down the street. I've been breakfast lunch for me and my staff for the last three years and today is my last day because of this horrible individual every day I $70-$80 here and today is my last
google avatar

Nicola L.

Yelp
Newly renovated. Has a lovely Caribbean feel and if you imagine you can probably feel the breeze and fresh air coming from the ocean when you stand near the koi pond. No, seriously there is a koi pond. Beautiful always clean and tidy inside dining area. Step up to cafeteria style counter. Most meals come with a meat, starch and vegetables. You name it they have it from oxtail to vegan friendly meals. You can even order a la carte items. All things being equal their fresh juices is where I get mesmerized. Cucumber, sorrel, ginger, pineapple even carrot. I'm getting thirsty just thinking about them. They have refrigerated drinks and snack items as well. And of course their world renowned patties. Flaky and fresh. Yum. Quarantine notes: order food delivery, drive thru -this may take some time so be patient. Only 10 people allowed inside at a time, so drive thru can get packed up. No worries, it's worth the wait. I just want to bottle up the chef and take him home. Never had a bad meal, ever!!!

Shantel B.

Yelp
Buyer beware. They are cheap with the oxtail. They put it in a small plastic soup container filled with more gravy than actual oxtail.

Yelp
My God!!! This plate blessed my soul!!! I will forever remain a customer. I've been her multiple times, and it's always good!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience here: fresh and delicious food, very adequate portions, prompt and friendly service, protein options for vegetarians, fresh juices and baked goods, good reggae music playing in the background. The premises was clean, well staffed and everyone was following health protocols, wearing masks and gloves. I often pick something very humble, like cabbage, as a culinary weathervane, my guide to determine the care and love put into the food at a restaurant. If the basic staples are neglected, bland or overlooked, this bodes badly for the rest of the menu; for as we know, a house cannot stand without a solid foundation, and the winds of Yelp reviews shall dash it upon the rocks of our brutal economy. The cabbage here was the rock of ages, a solid foundation for a menu, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, moist, revelatory, proving once again that it's often the unassuming under-spoken little person that'll surprise you as the toughest fighter, not the loudest person with the biggest muscles (Jerk Chicken, Braised Oxtail, Curry Goat). When done properly, as it was here, cabbage is mighty. With just the Rice and Peas and Cabbage alone I would have been happy, but with some Plantains, Beyond Meat Patties, and Curry, I temporarily found a deep sense of inner peace, a little spring of joy inside me to water my parched soul, true comfort food.

Jae B.

Yelp
I have been frequenting this location for years, the food I do get which is the snapper or barbecue tofu plates are usually good. The only complaint I have is the service, anytime I ask for extra cabbage instead of all of the rice they pack on the plate, I am met with disgruntled looks from the people making the plate and then they mutter it's extra 50 cents, not only of the response of putting but when I actually say that is fine I don't mind paying the extra, they then proceed to pinch a little bit of cabbage. I am not coming to these people house begging them for anything, so why the resistance? I am paying the extra so what's the problem? Some of the cashiers in the front need to go work in the back away from customers with that type of attitude! Update:1/12/24 returned here to purchase lunch and it was clear that the owner may have talked to the crew about this issue. Upon entering the restaurant, the dark skin lady with the spotty face went to squeeze her friend/coworkers hand and whispered something in her ear, and looked directly at me. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant as it is shows how petty they are about receiving criticism. I do not have to spend my hard earned money where it is not appreciated.
google avatar

Sunshine J.

Yelp
I'm mad I spent 25 on the oxtails when it tasted like colonized beef stew. Yuck. I want my money back.

Yelp
First time having Jamaican & Caribbean food! My friend's family is from Jamaica and this is their 2nd go-to spot for when they want something close-by and already made. I bet when they open for dine-in (it's only take-out at the moment) it would be such an experience because the place was pretty clean with a pond outside! They also had a sandy area kind of like you're at the beach. If you're like me and are a newbie to Jamaican cuisine, you definitely need to check this place out. Pretty simple set-up where it's like Chipotle/Panda Express where they display all the food behind glass windows so you can choose what food you want in your "platter". You go to the start of the line and tell them what size platter you want or if you just want a container of one thing. I let my friend go first and she just tells them right off the bat what she wanted instead of them asking you which rice you want, what entrée, etc. They have menus w/ prices so you can decide what you want before you order! My friend and I got a small platter- I got the rice & peas, Curry Goat, cabbage, and plantains (around ~$12) while my friend got the same except she had oxtail (around ~$17). You might think you need a large but THEY FILL IT UP. They're really generous over here and will give you your money's worth! Also, I wasn't a big fan of cabbage or plantains but then I tried this- and wow. This is on another level of good. They make their plantains different from Mexican plantains and more like Columbians (delicious and worth to try!). Cabbage was seasoned well and I actually enjoyed it. Curry goat is pretty good with the meat juicy, fatty, and seasoned well. Although can have a weird aftertaste. On the other hand, the oxtail... definitely coming back for that oxtail! (It's a family favorites of my friend's family). Tip: Ask to pour the sauce over the rice! Also, get the rice & peas unless you get curry then order normal rice.

Kymonti B.

Yelp
I just left here. The food is pretty damn good . And they had some pretty ladies working in there too lol. But the food is pretty good but a little high on the price. So I'm still coming back
google avatar

Jarsmon P.

Yelp
visited this location after not coming for over a year because the customer service wasn't so good. to my surprise, this time the customer service was GREAT! the food is always delicious and served hot. I hope the good customer service stays persistent. I didn't go inside so im not sure how the inside looks now, but thankful for good customer service Good job team :)

Yelp
The food here is amazing. If you want a complete Jamaican meal this is the place. I was craving breakfast and I live in Buckhead. I drove to 3 different restaurants for ackee and saltfish. Fireside (by the gas station), jamrock and all island which I love and still do!!. All 3 advertise ackee & Saltfish and none of them had it. My favorite place suggested Golden Krust and they didn't disappoint it was well worth the drive. I went crazy ordering boiled dumplings, fried dumplings, boiled banana, yam, fried plantain, hard dough bread, ACKEE AND SALTFISH, rice and peas with lots of oxtail gravy and champagne kola. And it was ALL good.. the restaurant was clean and the food was fresh!! They had a lot to choose from and my stomach was happy, cravings fulfilled.
google avatar

Ashbeezy B.

Yelp
By far my favorite GK location in Georgia! They always satisfy my Jamaican needs. Unlike other locations, they always keep favorites like curry shrimp, hardo bread and bun well stocked. I drive from Gainesville and pass other GK locations just because I know they will have what I need. Stop by when in the area! Tell them Ash said It sent ya!!!

Yelp
I'm honestly really sick in general of the blatant rudeness and disrespectful attitudes of these black owned businesses. As time goes on, it's becoming worse and worse. I stopped here after my dental appointment for lunch, before heading back to work. Ordered my usual curry chicken plate. The employee serving me was fairly nice, but once I got to the register to pay, my disdain is clear. Tall lady with the overly processed, damaged blonde hair and black drawn on eyebrows, get a life. A peaceful one. She never greeted me or told me the total. She said not ONE word during our entire interaction. When I tapped my card to pay, i guess it didn't register so she motioned with her hand to give it to her, and she tapped it again to go through. And when she handed it back, I didn't select a tip. She stared at me dead in my face and I stared at her square in the face because idk who she thought she was intimidating. Why would I tip you when you're giving me attitude and wouldn't even speak to me? We don't know each other. After our stare down, I gave her a smirk, called her a choice word and walked out of the door. Sucks I won't be back because the portions and food is great. Location is close. But the service... I'll pass. Give people the same energy you want to receive. It's that simple.

Zion A.

Yelp
It has been a while since me and my family had Golden Krust I remember as a kid I always had the Oxtails or Jerk Chicken with Rice and beans anyway but the next time I go to Golden Krust I might just try the Jerk Chicken Wings with Spicy and Jerk Patties and with the rice.

Bud S.

Yelp
I used to love golden crust. I usually go to the one on South Hariston. I'm not sure if they have a new cook or not but food is horrible now. My second time with oxtails that was nasty. Full of fat, not a good portion for large, thin gravy, no seasoning. Curry chicken was even worse. Lost a customer
google avatar

Jocie M.

Yelp
$26.51 for a small unseasoned oxtail plate filled with bones. Rice was hard and gritty, coco bread hard like it was put in a toaster and to add insult to injury they charge 4% if you're paying with a card. Like seriously? Food is already high and subpar at best. NEVER, NEVER, EVER eating here again! And you shouldn't waste your time either!
google avatar

M W.

Yelp
I had Curry Chicken, Rice & Peas, Cabbage, Plantains. Cabbage tender. Chicken succulent. Plantains fresh with crispy edges. Always coming back...
google avatar

Shermika D.

Yelp
Food is exceptionally good here. I didn't want to go because I based GK on my experience in NY, but the man made me. Since going we've been back again. I've tried the jerk (white meat only) which is hard to find in Jamaican restaurants. The plantains are sweet and so good, rice and peas are very flavorful, and the cabbage is nice. The oxtails are good and not tough. The Sorrel is around $4 for a medium but is really good because some places just don't get it right Prices are reasonable and portions are large so you'll have leftovers.
google avatar

Khalia P.

Yelp
They do a great job on the ox tail. A little bit pricey to be honest. You get the standard rice and peas with cabbage for about $25 for a large plate. Would go again for sure though.
google avatar

Nilaja L.

Yelp
Two stars only for the beef patty. I ordered the stew chicken it wasn't not seasoned at all . It tasted like baked chicken smothered in some packaged sauce. Plantain was doused in the same bland sauce. Not worth it the menu looks very authentic but tastes cheaply made and bland
google avatar

Rosita R.

Yelp
The WORST possible service!! I mean all the time these people rude! My man went in there on this spacific night, there was no one in the restaurant mind you!! This women was very rude and disrespectful she got aggravated and said "oh my lord jesus" then she walked away? like she didnt want to help a customer. If you dont want to do your job GO HOME!!! ! We love golden crust but sadly dont think we will be going back to this one.. they need to change there attitude this is bad for business!!!
google avatar

Jeff J.

Yelp
The company responded above and invite me to email Them, which I did and never got a response, but the service is much better so I'm assuming they had a convo with the staff so good for you
google avatar

Asia E.

Yelp
First time coming back since they've remodeled and the restaurant looks super nice! I did notice that they have gone up on their prices slightly. The service however was very slow it took me almost 30 minutes to get my food and mind you they have a hot bar. I wanted the roti but the were out so i got the jerk chicken with rice and peas cabbage and plantain. They only give you a small side of jerk sauce and charge you $.50 for extra. The lady at the cash register was beyond slow, they should really consider getting a faster cashier. Luckily the food was good. Next time I'll try the drive thru.
google avatar

Reshanna S.

Yelp
I have been SLEEPING on Golden Krust y'all! I thought this was a little gentrified Jamaican spot but noooo. I got a small oxtail plate with white rice, plantains, and cabbage. I also got a jerk chicken patty on the side. First of all the oxtails are sooooo good! The gravy is not too savory and not too sweet. I just wish they would cut more of the fat off the oxtail bone. The rice was just as good, with the oxtail gravy. The cabbage was delicious and firm. Not too soggy and the plantains were delicious too. They did not have beef patties when I went so I had to try the jerk chicken patty. Tbh it's not bad but it's a little too spicy for me and the patty was stale. I only ate HALF of a small plate and look at my results lol I still have a whole plate left in the to-go box!

Tessa W.

Yelp
Terrible service never again , a dark lady served me she had to own this place because there is no way a employee could be so rude with so much attitude, I spent $41 and she spin the tablet around to finalize the sale with a tip jokes like you can't be serious, next time I'll go to smoothie king and get something healthier with less money
google avatar

Keddy H.

Yelp
I purchased a Golden Krust bun from my local farmers market Nam Dae Mun on Memorial dr, Stone Mountain ga. On 4/14/20 a few days after I bought the bun, I made a sandwich and took it to work. I offered a college a half of the sandwich, about halfway though eating the bun I bit on something but didn't pay it too much attention as they normally have some little black tings in the buns. I continue chewing then I felt something stuck n stretched me. I spat out everything in my mouth on the napkin the remainder of the sandwich was on. Then I started to look for what had stocked me, there was a metal nail in the bun. I was so shocked, all kinds of what ifs started I run through my head. I was so frightened and upset at the same time, how can they missed something like this. I could have died, better yet if it was my college she probably thought I was try to do something to her. I google and called the bakery, they told me to bring the bun and speak to a manger there. I did what was told, go to the store, informed a rep of what happened, she stated she does not understand how that could have happened. She stated they have metal detectors that scanned the products and it may have being from one of the ingredients. She took the nail to the managers in the back then returned and told me the manager would come out and speaking to me. Let me tell you, the manage never made it to me, they told the rep to give me a refund and a new bun. No form of sympathy, nothing. This will be my last time ever eating from this place. And I do advise to check your food always. Sorry for the gross pic.

Yelp
I contacted the company site with the same review and I keep getting an alert saying they sent me a message but everytime I try to go on and see the message I don't have one.... just saying pretending to be concerned is not being concerned ....SMDH

Yelp
I've been coming to this particular location for about 4 years. I've tried other location (Lawrenceville & Kennesaw) but this location is my favorite. The ladies that work here are usually really nice and helpful. I come almost every single Sunday and I order the same exact meal, SaltFish & Ackee w bar food. It comes with 2 boiled dumplings, yam and banana. It reminds me of some of the best parts of my childhood. I absolutely love the food. I'm currently living in Duluth so I drive about 30 min or more for this food. They have all of your Jamaican favorites and the food is ALWAYS delicious.

Yelp
Customer service is horrible!!!! Needs improvement employees act like you come in to beg for food rather than to purchase, the food is good less salt on the curry chicken, the pigtail and the beef in the stew peas could be cooked a little more, the store is clean that's very good overall experience deserves two stars for the food and that the store is clean.

Yelp
The patties were the only thing that was good. I ordered the Rasta pasta and the noodles were OVER cooked. Also, the service could be better.

Yelp
No diet cola, no unsweetened tea, only a few kinds of patties, only had two dumplings left which are not dumplings, they were just baked rounds of bread. Maybe in the Caribbean this is considered a dumpling but I don't know. That aside the food was... not good. The beef patty had some kind of dark brown slurry in it with no beef. It maybe had the essence of beef but tastes terrible. Same with the chicken patty, slurry with no meat, didn't even taste like chicken. I understand that the food is not expensive but when was the last time you went to MacDonald's and the burger wasn't good? Not sure if it is just this location or the food is like this across the chain but it was highly disappointing

Yelp
I simply must give this place a one-star even though the food was outstanding. The service, however, was the WORST I have experienced in a very long time. Arrived at the location and no one is the line. I waited under the "Order here" sign. An employee finally came out and stood there. When another customer walked in she walked over and started to serve her and completely overlooked us. When informed her we were there first, she looked totally annoyed. This is totally unacceptable. Once she completed an order, she again tried to overlook me and serve her friend. I was ready to walk out but I was hungry and decided to put up with this indignity. They truly deserve a zero, but the quality and quantity of the meal saved them

Yelp
I love some good Caribbean food! When I walked in here yesterday I was pleasantly surprised at the make-over they have done. Before this they had a big ole rack right smack in the middle of the store that held all kind of different grocery goods. The good I didn't have a problem with because most of those things are kinda hard to find in you local grocery store. It was the rack that I had issues with. Talk about big and overwhelming. Well someone must have given them a hint and they totally have done away with it. Now there is a smaller rack behind the counter, still stock with many goods. Bun and cheese, hard-dough bread, bakes, slices of cakes, plenty of colas to choose from. And the carrot juice is hmmm, hmmm good! Try it, you might just fall in love. The spinach wrap is great. And I just discovered they sell shrimp patties which I had one and it was very, very good. They are vegetarian friendly. Delicious fish recipes to order. Beef patties, vegetarian patties. And they sell, Krust!! one of my favorite (filling) snacks. Rice and peas, vegetables...you name it, they got it! Your mouth watering yet? ;-)

Yelp
Was really good! I got what I always order! Large Oxtails with Collard Greens, Rice & Peas with Fried Plantains. I always ask for extra sauce on my rice & they always hook me up!

Yelp
This is my 1st check in at the Golden Kristin. I tried the Cheez Beef Patty & the Chicken Patty $5 for both. I'll admit I wasn't impressed. They didn't have the Jamaican flavor is was expecting. However, I seen a few other menu choices I'd like to experience so I will try this restaurant again.
