A Bread Tube Will Cure the Mundanity of Regular Bread-Baking | Eater

"A classic flea-market discovery: while browsing for tchotchkes the reviewer spotted crimped, rocketship-shaped silver ‘bread tubes’ on a vendor’s table and bought one on the spot after the seller—plain and direct—called them “Bread tubes” and offered them for five dollars each. The anecdote emphasizes the market’s knack for unusual, affordable vintage kitchenware and the small, lively interactions with vendors that make impulse purchases feel charming rather than regrettable." - Dayna Evans

Finally getting to review this place. After three times going and it was already ended. This weekend I pushed forward and arrived at 11AM and it was full. Very sweet vendors everyone seems happy. Food and clean restrooms make it palatable. I love vintage. This is a vintage market but there are a few eclectic vendors with eastern goods and crystals. It's definitely worth wandering on a beautiful day. Arrive by 11 at the latest.

Got scammed here on a fake purse I picked up for my mother thinking it was the real deal even with it's documentation. The management could care less and allows this crap.

Went on a Wednesday … not too many vendors but so very pleasant… Cleanest public bathroom I’ve ever used in my life. I have never been to a fleamarket and expected a pleasant bathroom experience. But I was shocked at the cleanliness of those bathrooms. Wow! Whoever you have handling that, give them raise! They deserve it!

Google
Negative experience here. Aggressive management, over priced items, shady characters roaming the property. There is regularly fights, assaults, theft and damage. Last week the police were called because of a mentally ill man defecating on the property in public view. Plenty of other flea markets without this mess. 2 thumbs down.

LOVE this place!!! The vendors are amazing, the prices are more than fair. I did notice a few people that are clearly just trying to buy and resell attempt to haggle on literally $5 items. If you’re one of those people who are cheap, and watched way too many episodes of American Pickers or storage wars….this place isn’t for you. Please stay home. They don’t need rude customers like you. These wonderful vendors don’t need a lecture on the price point or history lesson on what it is they are trying to sell. Also, cash is king!!!!!

This is my go-to place for most weekends. This flea market operates year-round, offering both indoor and outdoor facilities. They often host humble train shows, featuring model railroad vendors selling pre- and post-war model trains of various gauges/scales. Go without expectations, but you'll surely leave with something. People around here are very friendly and I always strike good conversations.

Joe Pendergrass

Google
Shops are OK but with predictable goods and higher prices. Lots of unmarked items but sellers reluctant to haggle. Outside could be better than our experience. Saturday on a warm day, but less than 20-30 tables. I read a review that Sundays are better, so maybe being open 3 days a week (year round) is misleading if only one day is active.

Yelp
Golden Nugget is a great flea market. I have been going to the Golden Nugget since the 1970's. It has had an inconsistent quality over the years. Early on it was the best then it tapered off but fortunately has returned to excellent. It is great for high-quality items. The dealers are sometime snobby but there are enough really nice dealers to balance them out. There really is no junk. I have been there (recently) on Weds, Sat and Sunday. Each day has its own personality. Sunday of course is the largest but I prefer Weds and Saturday because many of the dealers are not "professionals". This is not the flea market to buy bulky items although there are always dealers selling some furniture. There are no dealers selling new items which is a relief. It is relatively small in size but takes at least an hour to complete. In contrast Columbus NJ flea market takes at least twice as long and really does have a lot of junk. Parking is fine ... no long walks. Nice class of people ... polite, quite ... knowledgeable If you're expecting lots of dealers that sell auto parts, clothes, tools, baseball cards and the like this may not be your best choice. It does have antiques, artwork, collectibles, jewelry and a balance of serious dealers and dealers who sell only a few times a year. Has mostly small booths. There really is no junk. It is a good as it gets on the East Coast for a modest size market. Well worth and hour or so drive. You can extend the day by walking into downtown Lambertville or just across the river into New Hope. Both have nice stores with collectables, etc.

Yelp
I really enjoy the Golden Nugget the two times I have been here. My latest visit was a couple weeks ago on a Saturday. There were a ton of vendors outside and I found someone who let me pick through a bunch of vintage postcards that were blank! I got a HUGE stack for a few dollars which was amazing. There is also this lady with vintage pyrex on the inside second floor. That is my favorite booth. She definitely charges a lot but damn, it's a collection to marvel at. She charged me $50 for a vintage mushroom pyrex and yeah that's overpriced but it's in great shape and I wanted to treat myself to a new dish for my first Thanksgiving at my house. There is a lot of junk here but there are some amazing treasures to be found.

Yelp
I love a good flea / antique market, but I don't think I'll be back to Golden Nugget. This space was a bit depressing. As soon as you walk in, a thick smell of incense hits you when you open the door. Much of this space are gem shops, some stalls that are so overpacked you can't even see into the room, or spaces that are not really "curated." Many of the shop owners are kind of just hanging around- you can tell they've been there for decades. It was a bit disappointing to see so many stalls vacant, and some were closed so you couldn't shop. I may have come at an off time, 3pm on a Saturday, but I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Joe M.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a few years- we were disappointed to see so many empty tables on a beautiful summer (Saturday) early morning. The items we did see were far from "golden nuggets", a lot of useless things that would ordinarily end up discarded.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Love coming here to rummage and find some little treasures. It's 99% vintage and antique items. Not a lot of cheap new junk. You don't know what you'll find there. Lots of people get there early, they open at 6am. If you can make it earlier, you'll have a greater selection. I'd say early birds welcome. If you came to New Hope or Lambertville to find antiques and are flabbergasted by the prices...try the flea market instead. Some great items at a fraction of the price. In fact you'll find many of the store owners at the flea market early mornings to restock thier shops.

Yelp
I decided to come on a Wednesday. Golden Nugget is only open three days a week. Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday . There are usually more booths outside on weekends, and when the weather is more mild. So I just stayed inside the golden nugget today. There are two stories filled with nostalgic goodness. I always like looking for holiday items. This time I was looking for tin or metal toys for a friend of mine and I wanted to look at records. So they sell antiques... but there is also a room of art. Statues that are not old. If you're ever looking for anything, definitely contact them because you're sure to find it !

John A.

Yelp
Offers wide variety of items new and old! Especially now's great time to visit being the Fall weather and up and coming Holidays! People are friendly those that are working there and those milling about!!'

Marlene M.

Yelp
Fun place to tool around and look for treasures!! Been going there for many years. Have bought furniture, mirrors and collectibles and al says happy with my purchases. Free parking.

Tanya G.

Yelp
be aware they sell fake counterfeit items, like tiffany and gucci etc. i was a victim and when i sent to the office to file a complaint i was told there is nothing they can do. they permit this to be ! they permit fake items. will report !

Yelp
What fun! I used to come here 25 years ago and it's great to see this place is still around. A great place to while away a few hours. Vendors are always willing to wiggle on price. For example, I saw a gorgeous set of large glass beads that I got for $10 less than the original asking price. You'll find a mix of the absurd (a Ken doll in a surfer outfit) to the creepy (handmade paintings of people with blacked out eyes) and the fun (African masks and steam punk decor). During the summer, it can get brutally hot, so bring some water and don't be embarrassed to bring an umbrella if you are planning to not rush through the outdoor tables. Buy it if you want it, because it won't always be there next time.

Yelp
I drove today over an hour to go to this flea market based on mixed reviews I had hoped for the best. I barely bought anything. Some of the tables people were very rude not willing to negotiate at all. The inside booths were seriously over priced. I found two booths. On my way out that I was able to get things for a dollar or two dollars. One of the tables even everything I picked up gave me what it sells for online and what they were willing to sell it for. Definitely would never go back and wouldn't recommend this flea market. Don't waste your time.

Yelp
How can you leave a bad review for an antique flea market?! This place was such a special treat. I was driving by, saw this shop and the flea market happening outside and quickly found a lot to make a u-turn in so I could stop by. I am so glad I did. I loved meeting with the vendors outside but loved the shops inside even more. They were so charming and so full of amazing finds. I found some special and beautiful pieces to bring home for holiday gifts and could have stayed for hours more looking at all of the treasures. I hope to return one day!
google avatar

Marla F.

Yelp
My favorite place to grab amazing vintage pieces! I get compliments on a lot of items and most of them just so happen to come from this place! Sunday's are the best day to go. GO EARLY! Early as in before 10am. The vendors tend to pack up early so you want to get the full experience. If you forget cash, there's an ATM inside the restaurant on site.

Yelp
This was a great find, right along the Delaware River in Lambertville, NJ. It is old school, with big tables out front and more stalls inside. Great selection of advertising, comics, sports, household items. The dealers looked like they had just emptied their barn or garage and the prices were excellent. Thinking of going back and selling some of the stuff we've accumulated.
google avatar

John A.

Yelp
Today was my first time here. This feels like the kind of place that might be different every week. I arrived at 10AM and I have to say, there were MANY empty tables. I was disappointed about that, but I did still enjoy walking around looking at stuff. Nothing had prices and when I asked how much something was -- it was always much higher than I expected. There was an area at the end that was under construction and I think it might be a new restaurant. There were several porta-potties way in the back of the property, but thank God, cause I drove 90 minutes to get here. The indoor section was fun but many of the vendors had so much stuff that only one person could fit in their "store" at a time. That's a total turn off. A lot of fun stuff, but too cluttered! Many of the indoor sections were gated and closed, too. So, I wouldn't make a special trip to visit this flea market but I would definitely check it out if you are nearby. Today is Saturday and I was told that Sunday's are usually better.

Yelp
Best place to get antiques, Come every once and a while on Saturdays and always see a guy who sells coins for $2 and I always buy one.
google avatar

Nigel N.

Yelp
Found this by accident. A true flea market the way they're supposed to be. On some days the number of vendors is limited, but i nice weather, it's a bustling event with plenty of variety in terms of goods being sold.

Yelp
This was my second visit to Golden Nugget, since many moons ago. This time I went on a Wednesday morning. I went at 9 am, as I was told that earlier is better. I was disappointed to see that only about half of the stands were full, despite it being a beautiful day (rain was threatened later). It was quite an eclectic mix of items. I would say one part good deals, one part junk, and one part pricey rare antiquities. Some small furniture, but mostly small decor items, industrial stuff and costume jewelry. Quite a few swords/knifes too oddly. A decent amount of framed photos and artwork. In all, I only spent an hour which wasn't long enough for me since I drove that long to get there. I didn't leave empty handed, but I didn't score anything amazing either. I might give it another go on a Saturday.

Yelp
Whether you're a fan or not of Golden Nugget Antique Flea Market depends on your feelings about junque, you know, that stuff packed away in your basement, attic or garage that you can't find a use for, but can't let go of. Well, Golden Nugget is where you go if you want to be rid of it, or to get more of it. Either way, this outdoor market along River Road south of Lambertville, NJ., is a cultural trip down memory lanes and forgotten trails. When I stopped in this week it was after heavy rain and the gravel trading area was pretty muddy. Still, I was able to drive in and park behind the market and take the steps down to the action. At 8:30 am, the place was busy with the gypsies, mountain men, pickers, and collectors who are addicted to finding obscure gems in a mountain of trashy throwaways. It must work for most regulars, because many are there three times a week to search, bargain and barter for those old tools, keys, buttons, knick-knacks and the most esoteric tchotchkes that are precious baubles to them. Why was I there? My hunt involves old pocket knives. They don't need to be sharp, but they do need to open and close, and have all their blades. I found several around, but only purchased one that was fairly valued after friendly haggling. The others were nice, but too dearly priced for my blood. Amazing what excellent handicraft attaches to American steel. Secondly, I look for beautiful beads to use in making jewelry that has been a small business for many years. Strung with pearls and other natural stone stringable pieces, make for interesting and attractive neck or wrist ware. I'm not in love with Golden Nugget, nor the other similar flea markets in the area, but every now and then I have an urge to explore these backwaters of the American economy to see what I can find on the worn out tables in the park. Who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky again.

Yelp
This is a true 5 star flea market. This is the place to go for antiques. I see many vendors here that I recognize from some auctions. There are bargains to be found. There is a great antique parts vendor under the covered pavilion. I like to come on Sundays

Yelp
I am in love with this place. I have been to many flea markets and this one takes the cake. There are SO many vendors. What blows my mind is that a majority of them and their things are actually great items. A lot of flea markets have junk! Not The Golden Nugget. Not to mention the location!! Such a beautiful, tranquil spot to spend a day antiquing. Some of the vendors are a bit steep with their pricing, but I am always able to find a bunch of reasonably priced items. There is also a bunch of indoor stores on site, that we've never made it into. We spend so much time browsing through all of the treasures being offered outside, that we run out time. We recently stopped in to get a pretzels and a drink from a cafe on site. They also have food and coffee. Tables right outside to sit and have a rest. You'll need it. This place is huge!!!

Yelp
I sold and shopped at the Golden Nugget. I also inquired about the market before I sold by talking with vendors and getting a little advice on what to sell , and the pros and cons of the overall market. I talked to a really nice lady who owned a inside store. for over 15 years .She told me the best days to come are the weekends. She also told me something a bit shocking. She said they steal alot. I was like really? but the real shocker was she said its mainly older white men. She recorded her store and played back video of who was stealing. So if you ever sell there and your item is missing I bet ya it was the innocent looking old grandpa.

Yelp
Last two times that we visited this flea, both days were rainy so not many venders were there. There were only some under the roof and some were inside two small buildings. We visited on last weekend it was a beautiful day. so we expected many more venders with many more old stuffs to be there. However even there were many venders, not so many rare or fun stuffs were there, there were more like regular garage sales. Not many furnitures either. We only enjoyed two venders there, one with many minerals and stones, the owner is very knowledgeable about all his stuffs. He usually has a tables under roof. My kids love shopping at his table. Another place is my favorite vintage clothes shop in the small building located north side. The owner is always smiling and welcoming. Her vintage collection are fun and reasonably priced. If you are near there, you should definitely check this place out but it is not worth travel long way just to get here.
google avatar

Reena R.

Yelp
I love this place. It's diverse selling everything from porn to WW II posters to jewelry. It's a great place to spend a Sunday morning (don't go on Saturdays, it's no good!) especially when spending the weekend in Lambertville/New Hope. I found a super cute 70s ish (I think) vase for $15. And I almost adopted a Cabbage Patch Doll. The only minus is the porta-potties! YUCK. Also they really ought to have better snacks. I wish they had bathrooms in the indoor building. Also it's GIGANTIC so if you have friends that literally examine every single thing (like I did) then go by yourself.
google avatar

Chipman W.

Yelp
You could spend hours here, but come early so you can pick through the best stuff. And just know that many vendors pack up and leave before the market closes, too. The wife and I looked at various paintings and other items, and did end up purchasing a vintage beer sign at a reasonable price. But, make no mistake: They have it right with "flea market." This is not an antiques store, despite the rented spots found inside the permanent building. Outside, the acres of tables set up -- upon which people have unloaded all the crap they've emptied out of their basements, attics, and garages -- is little more than a tag sale outside your neighbor's house. But there's a ton of it. And despite most of it truly qualifying as junk, we'll be back the next time we're in the area of Lambertville/New Hope because ... you never know what you might find.
google avatar

Carlos S.

Yelp
Since I was a kid, I've enjoyed Flea Markets. It's one of the last forms of open air, direct to the consumer markets with bartering left within our society. Usually Fleas have their niche and Golden Nugget's is antiques, decorative accent pieces, creative knick knacks and artwork. In this world of big box stores, support the little guy or gal and truly buy American.

Yelp
Nice eclectic market with a big plus open on Wednesday, Sat , Sun . Typically draws 100 or more dealers with 5% to 10 % antique age goods. 40 % vintage goods . 10% yard sale . The rest garbage. Great place to start the day . Early bird will most definitely be pleasantly surprised here. The scavengers are plenty and cash is most certainly king. Wednesday is a early market with a mix of dealers. Great antiquity town and the golden nugget is worth a visit.

Yelp
This is the best antique market in the state. I LOVE to go to Golden Nugget just to wander around and look at all the awesome stuff the vendors have for sale. I always find a few things here and there and meet a few interesting folks along the way. Everyone is super-friendly. And I love making conversation with random strangers who love all things vintage and antique. Definitely check out the vintage shop here. I'm used to New York City vintage prices, but the woman who sells here is way reasonable. A hat that would easily cost 75 bucks in the city costs around 10. And she is sweet as pudding. The entire area is historic. While in Lambertville, be sure to see all the cool things along the Delaware River. Loved seeing the Johnson Ferry House. Loved knowing George Washington did some very important things near Lambertville. (Hi. Crossed the Delaware River to surprise those German mercenaries on the other side!) All these attractions are within minutes of the flea market. Knocked off a star because they NEED TO FIX THE BATHROOM SITUATION. After driving two hours to get to the market, I always have to pee. But if you think I'm peeing in a port-o-potty, you are sorely mistaken.
google avatar

Janet V.

Yelp
Just like most flea markets there are some overpriced items and some unrecognized gems. What makes this market unique is that it has more gems than others. The cafe in the middle of it has good coffee and great pastries.
google avatar

Bolm X.

Yelp
WOW, what happened to this place? This season is off to a bad start. There is now the sock and sunglass sellers as well as the dollar junk. Less antique dealers each week. I hope it's now going the way of Rice's.(Remember them?) Even basic maintenance is being neglected. The portable toilets haven't been cleaned since, who knows when. No you don't have a choice! Trash everywhere. Driveways are mud puddles. I really hope they do something before it fades away.
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
This is a great little flea market. I got a $100 gold leaf frame for $5, and a real pearl necklace for $1.... Wow! However, BRING YOUR SMARTPHONE and load your Ebay and Amazon apps because some of the vendors (who shall remain nameless) really over-charge shoppers (meaning, they will charge you the same as you would pay in a boutique, even after haggling to 50% of their ask, and they will charge you MORE than you would pay on Amazon or Ebay). I forgot to do consult recently with my Smartphone and paid exactly what I would have paid for a USED item as for a NEW one (with free shipping) on Amazon.com. That made me angry. ALWAYS check your phone with what you are buying against what you would pay for it on Ebay or Amazon under the "Sold For" listing. Be very careful. And I really wish they had better bathrooms and kept better care of the grounds. The spaces seem to be deteriorating and need some repair, and there are numerous tripping and slipping hazards.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of those antique markets with staying power! This one has been here for 40+ years (since 1967). They are only open three days a week and they have vendors both indoors and outdoors -- you can find just about any type of vendor you can think of . . . selling everything from old glassware, to coca-cola memoribilia, train lanterns, pocket watches, etc. I have picked up a number of things here and enjoy visiting when I am in the area. Note that my wife and I have noticed that some vendors have some potentially offensive material (saw one who had WWII antiques from Germany that we decided not to buy from), but aside from that, it is a fun market to visit because you never know what you might find.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
Even though this is a great antique market to visit in the summer and the spring, customers should beware during the cooler months. Their websites and social media listings say that the year round indoor businesses are open at 8:00 am. That is hardly the case. We got to the shops around 9:00 am and there were only a few shops actually open (6 or 7 out of 40+ shops). I asked one if these vendors when the other shops open and he said "Some at 10, others at 11:00, some even later. You know, because it is Winter." I simply said "Not sure why you would want to advertise that you open at 8:00." He just shrugged. Long story short, the vendor we came to visit opened around 11:30. That was a long wait after having travelled 90 minutes. In addition I notice a trend at this antique market. Many, many vendors do not show pricing. When asked about price they just say "Let me know what your interested in and I'll come up with a price." Ugh....... I have been here many times and have always enjoyed myself, however, I won't be going back in the November - March time frame again. Not worth the drive.

Yelp
Hey - one man's trash is another's treasure. I have come here since I was a tween - when my granmother was still alive - and boy did she have a gift for scoring at a flea market. You can find loads of jewelry, furniture, household goods (china and flatware, planters, etc.) old chothing and shoes (yech!!!) and much more. It's a bit disheveld - but it's a FLEA MARKET a la Mary Fisher's of the old days. Hours vary seasonally, so check before you trek. (They are not open every day - usually weekends and 1 week day - at the time of this review it was Wednesdays 6 AM - 4 PM). Lots of vendors pack up by 2 or 3 PM though. Bruing cash - many do not accept plastic but more and more do. Also you can graba cuppa joe at the diner next door.

Yelp
A really great outdoor market. Good resource for the unexpected. Have a great time sorting through old silverware, rifling through piles of vintage clothing or rooting through random cardboard boxes. If you're in the area and want an excuse for time in the open air, Golden Nugget is a must. Prices are more than fair and I've found some of my favorite treasures here. The only drawback, the lot that the market is in is dusty dirt. Wear old shoes and don't go on a dry summer day.

Yelp
I have to give this five stars because although it's not always a home run in terms of finding the greatest deals, the vibe here is amazing. My fiance and I go every Sunday morning and it just feels like home. It's about a 40 minute trip for us and this is going to sound corny but it's the kind of place where you know you're building memories with someone. A nice drive to the flea market - in a beautiful location - and then a fun search for treasures. The experience itself is well worth the five star rating. As for the stuff, it's a mix between older items that you could find in a well curated basement and really quality, amazing finds that you don't expect to see at a flea market. I have my favorite vendors that are there every week - and somehow, they always have new, interesting stuff. I've been coming here for a couple years now and I promise, they really do have new stuff all the time. Overall, this is WORTH the trip regardless of where you live. If you live in the central/south NJ area particularly, this is actually the only flea market worth your time. Hundreds of vendors, experts that really know their stuff and a super cute coffee shop (with good coffee!) in the middle of the market. It's even open in the middle of winter with the diehard vendors. I love this place so much. Also, it's close to New Hope, PA and a lot of other antique stores. Perfect location for a really nice day out.

Barbara S.

Yelp
They were really great about following safety rules at first, but each week more and more vendors and customers aren't wearing masks. Some don't even look like they have one on them and many people have one pulled down. Today I saw an older vendor sneeze into his HAND. It was so disgusting. I saw the woman -- I assume a manager, while a couple blatantly not wearing masks was nearby. I pointed them out to her and she said yes everyone is supposed to be wearing masks but then she went on collecting money from the tables and (as far as I could see) never went to talk to them. It sucks. They did it right for the first couple weeks so that means they can do it but are not. I'm not going back and I imagine there are many others that won't take the time to leave a review that aren't either. Such a shame!

Yelp
If you're into antiques or anything unique and artsy then the Golden Nugget Flea Market is a must to check out ! I've been going since a kid and it hasn't disappointed since

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Great mix of garbage, antiques, vintage fun, and collectibles. Take your time walking around you'll never know what you'll find. I think I'll go this weekend if it's nice out.

Yelp
A great place for people watching! Ok, our real reason for coming here was to find a matching rose for a desk pull, and we were close. There's a vendor under the main structure who sells door knobs, drawer pulls (metal, ceramic), antique keys...and what we found was really close. Most items are $1, so we scored with 2 rose pulls that are likely the closest match we could find. Towards the end of the structure is a woman with antique and old children's books such as more Oz adventures, Mother Goose, etc., but what caught my eye this time was "Fanny at Chez Panisse" for $5, a children's introduction to cooking book. :) Melamine rotary phones, a Springtime in Tokyo Barbie (I might kick myself for not picking this up as it was a 60's style Barbie made in 1999), a plant lady in front of Fast Eddies, lamps, books on Erotic massage, Nazi memorbilia, bayonet spears, Civil War portraits and coats, records, lace, silver and costume jewelry, dolls, coins, magazines, lighters, and stuff, lots of stuff. Including Rosie O'Donnell as Barbie's Friend (her special friend, I'm sure). We didn't see much that we needed (do you ever NEED anything from a flea market?), but also didn't have much room having found a woven bentwood rocking chair en route to the market (yeah!). If you go, wear shoes that can easily wander over rocks and gravel that can get dusty.

Yelp
I got there around 3:30pm on Wednesday. It was too late, right before they close at 4pm, and there were only 4-5 vendors who were starting to wrap up for the day. BUT! I still enjoyed the market. I was looking for some door pulls for my furniture and there was a lady with a large variety of door pulls and knobs!! I bought 6 pcs of antique-looking door pulls only for $18. When I looked similar ones at flea markets in Manhattan, they were sold $6-8 a piece, so mine was such a good deal! Though there were a very few numbers of vendor in the late afternoon, I saw a loong lines of tables numbered something like 300, so I imagine this market is such an enormous venue if you come on a right day, in a right time frame.

Yelp
In order to get more dealers and customers to come and shop, give them clean bathrooms to use! I set up today, Wednesday, and at 545am, the bathrooms on both the North and South sides were disgusting. They obviously weren't cleaned after the weekend.

Yelp
Very diverse flea market, had a cool place with antique cameras and newer ones too. Bought a base guitar for my son. Lots if jewelry. Paintings. A mix of old and new a little hot in the lot without cover but very cool

Yelp
I don't get many days off, especially on a Sunday morning so when I had this past Sunday off, I dragged the hubby off to the flea market. Being it was 4th of the July, it was a bit less crowded than usual but we still found lots of cool stuff to buy. There was tons of jewelry and I found a pretty stone braclet for only $10. The woman who made it was very kind and explained each stone. We also bought some product and a couple of herb plants, all at good prices. If you've never been, it's a cute place and worth the trip, just wear comfy shoes!!

Yelp
I have no idea why the reviews are low. I love it here. Granted, I was hoping for more clothing options (hells kitchen flea market in NYC is still the best location for vintage clothes ) but the amount of treasures are is amazing. There's outdoor table, indoor tents and even actual sheltered building. There's also food options but it's sparse. Skip the food and go straight for the treasures!

Yelp
Oldie but a goodie. Golden Nugget has been around since the dinosaurs and some of them have tables on Sundays (joke!). Like any flea market, some days you hit the jackpot and some days you go home with stuff you wonder why you bought. I like to spend a couple hours looking around and talking with folks, then we head over to the diner in Lambertville for a late breakfast. I really recommend getting there as early as you can, 9 am at the latest. I have never used the bathrooms there- wouldn't dare- and pack my own coffee and snacks. Bring cash, expect to haggle a bit and relax and enjoy the experience. Lots of eccentrics and experts of all stripes! Lots of nice people, the occasional jerk, just like anywhere. Nice easy drive from Philly, about an hour.

Yelp
As a mid century modernist, I found this place and it was love at first site. Most of the items I find are from the era I love, and the dealers are very good in their pricing. People are very friendly and there are many good connections to make with other dealers and collectors. I've met folks driving from NYC just go come here. There is a lovely little vintage shop inside the building farthest to the left which has gems from the 1930's-1950's.. my favorite eras. She even has shoes and children's things, which are by far the hardest to track down. In the other building, the pinball collecting of my dreams awaits. Try to go early on sundays for the best finds, and rainy days aren't a good choice. Also, while some bare the cold, I find myself going mainly in summer spring and fall.

Yelp
I've been Visiting the Golden Nugget since i was very little and everytime i visit i see something i never expected to see. I love antiques and collectables so its always fun to wonder the aisles and see what i find. Getting there early is always a good idea especially in the summer since this place gets packed on a nice day! I've gotten some amazing things over the years including a box of vintage lamps from the 1920's that i bought for $10 and collectively sold for alot more...i even kept one for my personal collection and i found its mate last year at the Brimfield Mass flea market... so now i have a pair! Its the thrill of the hunt that keeps me coming back to flea markets like the Golden Nugget. You can find some hidden treasures! :)
