Golden Nugget Pancake House

Excellent as always, big portions, fresh made tasty and delicious food, went there for breakfast almost at midnight and service was great as usual, again, so bad we don't have one in Maine!

I decided to go have some food at Golden Nugget Restaurant and gotten their special 11.99 2 eggs your choice 2 bacon or 2 sausage or ham and I got the 1/2 waffle with a side of compost strawberry.. Isabella was my waitress and she is Amazing serving me and always checking on me and asking did I need more coffee etc. IT was Amazing and hit the spot.

I went to this golden nugget on Easter Sunday because it was one of the only restaurants open. The waitresses and staff were very nice and hospitable, and the atmosphere at the diner is very old-school, in an endearing way. I ended up getting a skillet. The food was above average, but honestly not my favorite skillet. The potatoes just didn’t have the right texture or seem to be cooked in the way that other skillets I’ve had were cooked. And the side was either toast or a biscuit. I ended up getting the biscuit and it was pretty dry and didn’t come with any sauce or anything. So the food left something to be desired at least for what I ordered, but it was a good experience overall.

The food was pretty good but what made it better was our waitress, Linda. She was attentive, friendly and very welcoming. She was patient with my sister and I, even though we took a while placing our orders. It was our first time there but it was a good experience. I will definitely go again.

When I lived in the city years ago I used to love going to the Golden Nugget. I was happy to see that it's been so well maintained over the years. It feels freshly decorated but still has that 70's vibe to it, which I'm obsessed with. I love their insulated diner coffee mugs (great coffee btw) and their retro plates and water cups! Everything felt clean, too! And they've definitely put thought into the accoustics and lighting because the dining experience was both audibly and visually enjoyable as well. All of this was a phenomenal backdrop to the delicious food we received. We ordered the fried chicken fingers and curly fries served with a side of chicken noodle soup and the chicken fried steak and milk gravy served on a delicious homemade biscuit with mashed potatoes and served with a side of cream of broccoli soup. The large portions arrived promptly hot and fresh by our friendly and professional server, Myra. It's very apparent this location is managed well given how organized and on the ball the kitchen staff is. The other staff we encountered were equally as great. I really hope this restaurant never changes a thing about itself! I look forward to bringing my family back again!

I ve always loved their patty melts and my son got the chili cheeseburger and curly fries with chili. He loved it.

Great service! Friendly atmosphere, and delicious food! Come hungry, leave feeling like the turkey at Thanksgiving!
