My wife and I decided that Costa Rica would be the place for our honeymoon. Everyone told us the country was fantastic and it did not disappoint, but what truly exceeded our expectations was our stay at the Golden Pineapple Villas. From the moment we left the airport we were taken care of. Our driver for the day (Marlon 1) made everything easy, pointed out places along the way, and even kept us stocked with drinks for the journey. After an eventful three hour drive, which included getting a photo of a sloth, we arrived and nothing was ever too much for the staff or the owners. The hotel was in incredible condition and felt completely separate from the rest of the world. The views were stunning, the food was outstanding and the cocktails were brilliant. What really makes this place special though is the staff and the owners. They drove us wherever we needed to go, gave us tips, reservations and ideas, looked after us throughout the stay and were always happy, approachable and fantastic at what they do. To Marlon 1, Marlon 2.0, Pablo, Leo, the chefs, the cleaners and the owners, thank you so much. You made our honeymoon unforgettable and we could not recommend this place enough. We will be returning. This is genuinely the best hotel experience we have ever had, visiting the Golden Pineapple Villas is a must!

Fantastic accommodations here in Uvita. To begin, it’s true the road here is intimidating, and AWD is needed at the minimum. However this is normal for this part of the world. And what you get in exchange at the top of the hill is well worth it, with world class staff and amenities, delicious food, amazing views and privacy and animals right at your doorstep. Leo, Marlon, Marlon and Pablo stood out for amazing customer service, we truly appreciate it. Thank you for a lovely stay. Hope to return someday. If you’re looking for a romantic hotel for a honeymoon, this is it. Housekeeping is also very on top of it and keeps the unit very clean!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Costa Rica and Golden Pineapple Villas. Our stay was truly unforgettable. The views were breathtaking, the villas were absolutely stunning, and there was not a single thing to complain about. If you’re traveling to Costa Rica, this should be at the top of your list for where to stay. My only regret is not staying longer—I would highly recommend booking at least a full week. The villa is about a three-hour drive from the airport and is nestled deep in the rainforest, which does require transportation in two vehicles, including a 4x4 for the final stretch. That said, the experience is well worth it. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They coordinated all of our transportation—not only to and from the airport, but also for excursions and trips to restaurants—and communication through WhatsApp made everything seamless. The food, the views, the pool—everything exceeded our expectations. I genuinely have zero complaints. Do yourself a favor and add Golden Pineapple Villas to your list for your next trip to Costa Rica.

We stayed at Golden Pineapple Villas and had a really peaceful and comfortable experience. It’s a small boutique property with only a few villas, which makes it feel quiet and private. The villa itself was very spacious and had everything you need to feel at home, including a fully equipped kitchen, a large living area, and a very comfortable bedroom. One of the highlights for us was the outdoor shower and bathtub, as well as the private pool. The views over Uvita and Marino Ballena National Park are beautiful, especially in the morning. Waking up to birds and nature all around was something we really appreciated. Breakfast is à la carte and offers a good variety, with fresh juices, smoothies, hot drinks, and both Western-style and local Costa Rican options. Overall, it was a great place to stay if you’re looking to slow down and enjoy nature in Uvita. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Book this trip… quick! You won’t regret it. We had the most remarkable time at the Golden Pineapple Villas, and I’m not sure I could ever find the perfect words to express our gratitude to the staff who made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. Every moment felt personal, thoughtful, and filled with genuine care. The private, tucked-away location overlooking the breathtaking Whale Tail beach made our stay even more magical. We were able to enjoy the serenity of nature and see wildlife—bats, coati, hummingbirds, butterflies, toucans, and more—all right on the property. It felt like our own little world in the middle of paradise. The staff took the time to get to know us, arrange every excursion, communicate seamlessly with taxis, and keep our villa spotless. Their service wasn’t just excellent—it was the best we’ve ever experienced. And of course, we can’t forget the incredible chefs whose meals were as beautiful as they were delicious. Marlon 1 truly feels like family after this trip. Marlon 2.0 and Pablo also hold such a special place in our hearts. And Leo went above and beyond to make everything seamless, personalized, and stress-free. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine care made our stay feel like home. If we’re lucky enough to return to Costa Rica, we will 100% be returning to the Golden Pineapple Villas. Thank you for making our honeymoon everything we dreamed it would be and more.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The property has breathtaking views of both the ocean and the mountains — truly the kind you can’t stop staring at. The restaurant had great food options and amazing cocktails, and everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. The staff was beyond accommodating and helped us book all of our excursions with ease. Housekeeping deserves a special shout-out… they were SO quick and efficient it felt like ninjas snuck in and made everything spotless. Huge thank you to Pablo, Marlon, Marlon 2.0, and Leo for taking such great care of us throughout our entire stay. The villas were extremely clean, private, and quiet — perfect for a honeymoon. We couldn’t recommend this place more!

Where do we start, from the breathtaking views, to the most comfortable bed and pillows. Each Villa boasts original artwork. Each meal is presented with flair and it would be hard to say what our favourite dish was. If you are relaxing by your personal pool, or enjoying the ambiance of the lounge and main pool. Our stay here was unforgettable. We came to celebrate our 25th anniversary. |It’s not just the beautiful hotel that sets this place apart it’s the staff. When you have an amazing team working together to make your stay special you feel like first class. We enjoyed the real conversation with the staff, ones you’d have with friends. |We loved the little touches and details and the pillows on the bed were amazing! |We saw blue Jean dart frogs, toucans, macaws, and the incredible surprise at the end was a three towed sloth who came down from his tree just in time for us to see him. |The food was great, drinks were amazing and are time here will not be forgotten!
