Ordered fried Wonton & it was overcooked or leftover from a prior day. Too hard to bite/chew. Being overcooked takes away the flavor. However I enjoy the shrimp fried rice.

This is my new favorite place! My husband and I first had visited and dined in. Everything was amazing! Then tried having it delivered and it was great!! Food was still piping hot and was handled with care. Definitely my new go to.

My Wife and I are from NYC. We been trying to find a Chinese restaurant for 3 years already since we moved. None like this in the DFW AREA, This one right here is awesome. Carrots fresh✔️, Broccoli fresh ✔️ Shrimp is super fresh peeled, deveined, doesn’t have a bad after taste like most. Sauce ✔️ Best shrimp I have had here in Texas! Customer Service really nice, they recommended Mongolian to me and I loved it. Tasted fresh! My wife got the Shrimp and broccoli! Next time I wanna try the chicken wings! To be continued! Truly Texas size portion 5 star Huge portion. I ordered medium spicy, it was not spicy at all. If you want spicy ask them for higher spice level

Golden Pot has potential, but I wasn't impressed. I had the Pork Fried Rice which was pretty good. But I didn't care for it being served on a thin paper plate. The meal also rapidly cooled on the paper plate. Fountain drinks aren't offered. A small selection of 16 Oz. bottled sodas. A 20 Oz. bottle would have been better. Also more selections than Diet Coke. An option of Coke Zero or Diet Dr Pepper would be favorable. The meal was fine, but I disliked the thin paper plates as dinner ware. The dining room was nice, but paper plates are for the back yard bbq.

The best Curry Singapore noodles in the far North Dallas/Suburb area so far I’ve had. Just the right level of spice. I went with the combination meat and it’s just delicious. Also picked up some chicken egg rolls (not pictured) that were fried to perfection. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Yelp 100 Challenge - #52 Golden Pot is a local Chinese eatery located in a shopping plaza by Kroger. My favorite items is their sesame chicken with white rice, egg rolls, and a kids noodle. The portion sizes are generous so be prepared to have leftovers. If you order online, be sure to check if you are in their delivery area. Delivery is fast and food is made fresh. Limited seating inside, but a friendly atmosphere.

I really enjoyed Golden Pot. I got my order to go. I wanted chicken wings, fried rice, and egg rolls. My son wanted orange chicken. Golden Pot has good reviews so I decided to try them. The portion sizes were ok. The food overall had a good flavor and was tasty. I got the combination fried rice. I would have liked more meat in the rice. I liked the orange chicken. It was tasty. Overall I will go back to Golden Pot and would recommend it.

This used to be one of my favorite spots, but something's felt off the last few times I've been. The flavors aren't quite as bold, and the service is just okay. I'm not sure if there's been a change in ownership, but it just doesn't feel like the same place anymore.

I used to like this place because it's one of the few Chinese places with St Louis style fried rice on the menu. Recently in the last few months or so I've noticed a change - and not a good one. I ordered over $50 worth of food for a get together and they gave me 2 duck sauces and 4 soy sauces. When I requested 4 more duck sauces they said they would have to charge. Who charges for duck sauce?!?That's like charging for ketchup packets. Ridiculous. I would expect that they at least provide 2 packets per entree. It 2 packets per order. Business must be doing very poorly if they are being stingy with condiments. I will be satisfying my Chinese takeout elsewhere and I suggest others follow suit.

Ordered Veg Lo Mein with Tofu and Chicken Lo Mein for takeout. Food was ready on time for pick up! Lo mein was delicious and this was the hands down best lo mein I have ever had. I am going back for this again.

Food was great and prepared well. The prices are comparable to other similar places in the area. The portions are ok but not great.

Trying to find a good lunch special is becoming harder and harder these days. Small portions with overwhelmingly sweet sauces make for a sub par Chinese take out experience. To top it off this might be the saddest fried rice I've seen in my life. It was a valiant effort but unfortunately doesn't make the cut.

The fried rice is delicious. I got the St Louis Vegetable Fried Rice. It was $12, which seems a bit overpriced, but it was just an experience I wanted to try. The place was clean, and the cashier was friendly.

Must be family owned - the same woman is always at the front and she is SO SWEET! Amazing service, we always do pickup. But food takes MAYBE 10 minutes to be made. Super quick. And food quality is AMAZING. Just giving credit where it's due. This golden pot is amazing! Highly recommend. Fully convinced the bad reviews are straight chads and karens bc we've ordered here at LEAST once a week for like.. 2 months lol. Always consistent.

My family and I ordered the beef lo mein and the seasame chicken. The food came out hot and tasted great. The dinner portion was more than enough to feed the 3 of us. Definitely will go back to this spot.

The preparation of the dish was prepared so far off base from being done correctly it was absolutely ridiculous!! The fried rice was beyond Gross and Not Edible!! When you see a restaurant not busy at all at the same time a Mexican restaurant is loaded a few stores down, THAT TELLS YOU THE WHOLE STORY!!! For Free I Would Not Eat Here!!

Having very late lunch here now. I ordered Mongolian Beef and brown rice. Wifey ordered chicken and broccoli. Both from their special lunch menu. Clean well lighted Chinese restaurant here in Frisco near Main Street. Server is helpful and courteous. The beef is marinated well and taste delicious. The chicken and sautéed broccoli taste good. We'll recommend this place to our friends.

Food was pretty good. We ordered chicken wings, fried rice, crab Rangoon's and lo mein. It was all delicious. This is your typical Chinese takeout.

Backl with an update.. this is such a delicious Chinese place. I'm Asian and when I tell you that it's head to head with my moms cooking, she'll kill me (not literally, but figure of speech). I've ordered from here so many times, I'm sure they're well aware of my name, haha. E V E R Y T H I NG is delicious. I always use delivery (Uber Eats/GrubHub), and my food comes piping out and filled to where it's about to explode from the packaging. I will be SO hurt if they every shut down. This is hands down the best chinese food place. I don't care what anyone says, I will fight you, hehe.

This restaurant was a go to for quick and decent for the prices. I want to say that I am in a customer service industry and a manager. I have ordered from this restaurant and until I ordered and did not have the food delivered on this past Sunday, had no issues. I tried calling the restaurant 7 times and never reached a person. I requested a refund after waiting over an hour and a half. The restaurant said they delivered but acknowledge they never called but did leave at door. I guess, it's okay for a business to call customers thieves, they will now not serve me and refuse to believe that a driver can make a mistake. I was floored and I just want people to know that if they make a mistake be prepared to have them refuse delivery and cause you time and stress to get a refund.. Customer service is still important correct. She screamed at me and said "pay her for Sunday and she will deliver again" if that isn't calling me a thief. My order with tip was 34 dollars. Why would someone order online and then "lie" when all my informations there for them. ‍ Picture of my call record calling to find my order and they never answered. Beyond Menu is the online ordering app and this the number.

So out of nowhere, my boyfriend had a potsticker craving and on a whim decided to order from here. My expectations were non existent, as I have been highly disappointed with Chinese takeout in the past. However, I gotta say, these snacks COMPLETELY blew me away. We ordered the fried potstickers with chicken, eggrolls, and the fried sugar biscuits. Not only did the food arrive hot and fresh, but everything tasted surprisingly FANTASTIC. The potstickers and the eggrolls were PACKED with flavor. The sauce that came with the potstickers is honestly some of the best I've EVER had, I want to put it on everything!! The fried sugar biscuits were soft, and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. This was such a pleasant surprise and we are so excited to try more items on the menu!

Good place for lunch. Nothing fancy, but solid value. Employees are friendly and quick.

Eww don't do it! The food made me sick. I thought it might have been me but then I tried a little after I felt better but I became I'll feeling again. The noodles had something strange in it so I spit it out. The hot n sour soup was so gross I tossed it and even the kids meal was nasty. Moo goo was odd but not the worst. The veggie soup was edible but only for a few bites then it was odd in my mouth. Keep looking!!

Just ordered for the first time through Uber eats. Would love to rate the food but it wouldn't matter if it was good or not because I had to throw out one of our dishes $13 down the drain, we asked for no white onions, it was filled with white onions. I believe you never get a second chance to make a first impression of you are a Chinese take out. I'll never order again.

Phenomenal is the word that describes the food here. After so many disappointing visits to subpar "chinese" restaurants I had given up completely. Today my husband was hungry and this place was convenient. I read the reviews but still wasn't convinced, i mean what do Texans know about good Asian cuisine? Roger ordered the Happy family and I got the Seafood delight; both with lo mein. Both meals were incredible. My seafood was plentiful and the noodles were perfectly al dente. Roger's dish did not disappoint. We tipped the chef on the way out. Worth every penny!!

This eating place gets no love from me. They feed you from paper plates, bowls and plastic ware. There was no ice for your drinks and the lady said they use paper because they didn't want to wash dishes. Don't waste your time we left after eating our soup.

This is a nice, clean restaurant that is not prepared for the new DFW foodie scene. Dallas' palate has matured in the last couple of years...and Golden Pot is a leftover from the past - a culinary adolescent. Restaurant investors, do your homework, hire a chef to take your menu to the next level and adapt to whats trending in Texas. I'm not saying you should be trendy. I'm saying that mediocre is no longer in style here. Start over.

I have been ordering from This place for several years now. I have referred many of my own clients during this time. I ordered a few months back and after I had to call to find out where my order was, I was told they had no delivery drivers. Ok I get that, with covid and all, I understand. Tonight I ordered again and 45 minutes goes by and I get an email that they are "out of power" and couldn't reach me by phone and instructed me to call the restaurant. So I called and the man that answered told me that I lived to far. I reminded him that he advertised free deliver within 5 miles, he said his driver didn't like to drive that far. I asked him if his delivery drivers ran his business for him? He again said his driver didn't like to go that far. It's 3.5 miles. This is getting ridiculous. Now we can't even get Chinese food delivered because the driver says "it's too far". With as bad as things have been I would think that this business would try to get all the business if could. Evidently NOT! Terrible service.

If I could give zero stars, I would!!! This place is 3 minutes from our house so we decided to go on and order for take out. We had ordered from here a very long time ago and the food was average however, this time it was inedible. The honey walnut shrimp had this white gelatinous goop all over it and the shrimp were mushy...was way too unappetizing to even eat. My daughters beef had an odd color and taste and the vegetable lo-mein was swimming in a watery brown sauce. We would have been better off with Panda Express.

My favorite Chinese delivery in Frisco! The fried rice is great and they are pretty quick! They are willing to make substitutions and there's no major language barrier here! We have had the Mongolian beef, pork fried rice, egg rolls, pot stickers, General Tsos. My husband really likes all their beef dishes. I love that the veggies are fresh cut and they are skimpy with them! I would say be careful on really busy delivery nights (think cold rainy Friday nights). Sometimes delivery takes a little longer but it's still better than going out into the elements!

We had the Mongolian beef and Schezwan beef. It was good. Nothing exciting. Wish they would give more rice. A bit pricey for strip mall food. Maybe worth it during lunch special times.

This is a local Chinese food place. It's not fancy, but the food is hot, fresh, and made quickly. I've ordered takeout and eaten here numerous times and always had a good experience. The pricing is also a great value. Ordered delivery yesterday and the kung pao tofu had a real kick to it (not for the faint of heart) - tasty good. Beef broccoli is good and up to the standard of the typical Chinese food. Support local businesses during this crazy time!

Great food! This is always our go to place whenever we want Chinese for dinner!

We got home after picking up general tsos and orange chicken dinners. When we got home, we realized they looked and tasted exactly the same. When calling them to explain the mistake, they informed us that all of their chicken is EXACTLY the same, the only difference is whether or not it comes with an orange peel, peppers, sesame seeds etc. Never heard of anything like that in my life. Ridiculous. Look at the picture to see for yourself.

Very good spot for an affordable Chinese lunch in a clean, quiet environment. It's very casual, but the tables and booths are very clean and comfortable - most look brand new. The food is very good, and the portion sizes are nice. Good for those who want to be able to quickly enjoy a lunch or dinner - the food is prepared quickly, and the host each time has been very friendly.

I ordered orange chicken no spice, as i am allergic to spice. Got home and there was 3 peppers. I called the restaurant snd they argued with me or what I ordered. You never argue with s customer. I will neber return. Also they charged me way over the advertised price in their menu. Very BAD customer service

First time here not that impressed. The food doesn't have much flavor. Restaurant is cold. I saw the thermostat it said 63. It's 38 outside today. I think a little heat for those that choose to dine in would be a nice gesture. TV is way to loud in the dining room. I'm not a fan of tvs in dining rooms. Especially if they are playing day time soaps. The lady taking my order was really nice. Otherwise this would probably be 2stars for me.

Food here is really good, but the entire kitchen staff does not wear masks, and they don't wear gloves either. The last 2 times I was here, I saw the cashiers SHARING a single glove that was continually reused for every customer. This is something they should perhaps not let customers see. They need to wear masks.

Just moved to Frisco and decided to try this place out. Delivery was SUPER fast- 30 min sooner than expected. The food was still very hot and fresh. Delicious!! 2 entrees and 4 egg rolls (I have an egg roll problem) were under $30 before tip and delivery fee. We ordered the spicy garlic and the sesame chicken, but get a thumbs up. Fried rice was delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Seems like family owned business. There was only 1 person eating there during lunch which was kind of odd. We were taken cared off right away. Asked them things that they didn't have on the menu like mu shoo chicken or pan fried noodles because at time the chef will be able to cook things off the menu but I guess they don't. Also got confused with other places that I wanted to try. We only went to this place because its closer to home. Ordered regular menu during lunch so we can have to go for the kids. We had beef broccoli, the meat is not as tender as I want it to be and the taste confused me a bit. It doesn't taste like the normal beef broccoli I'm used to, seems like the taste is suppose to be on a savory duck or chicken because of the Chinese spices they used. It's still good though but just odd taste. The shrimp with walnut is delicious and shrimps are huge. Food is pretty decent will come back again.

It's great food, friendly service and it's always ready when I go pick it up. The chicken is real white breast meat and they use fresh vegetables. The flavor is spot on for the orange chicken and the fried rice is great!
