Golden State Pizza & Grill

The pizza was great! I forgot to take a picture of it because I just dug in and ate it. I got a personal, standard pepperoni pizza. I also got garlic bread - which was crunchy and delicious! Sadly, the area it's at isn't the best so I'll only visit if I'm in the area and craving pizza.

I love this place. Comfort food for me. Their pizza is very well balanced and one slice always is just enough food.

BEST PIZZA IN ALL OF SF, I have gone there many times and every time the pizza was so good. I loved the cheese pizza with sausage. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

Food prep person, does not wear gloves when prepping food. I better not get sick. I have an internal illness to lungs 🫁

Walked in the store lady was too busy on the phone instead of helping me. I would rate the food but I would've had to wait over 15 min. Good luck on your business 👎

Food was bomb! Got a philly cheesesteak sandwich . Only thing that sucked was that there is no bathrooms .

The food is absolute garbage, the Pizza especially is one of the worst I’ve eaten, full of oil and thick unbaked dough.

I have been extremely skeptical about this place. I can honestly say that after last night my entire feelings have changed. My fiance and I live close by and just decided to take a chance on a new place and the pizza was absolutely delicious. We order a medium half and half pizza the golden state which is the same as a combination and Hawaiian. We also took things a step forward and ordered some wings garlicky BBQ wings. The wings were absolutely delicious better than wing stop. We will most definitely be back and I can't wait to try the other flavors of wing's and of course another pizza. Wonderful wonderful service from the lady in the front she helped us to order great job and keep up the hard work.😇❤️

I don't really go for the pizza anymore but their cheesesteaks and wings are definitely delicious! I ordered through Uber eats and everything was still warm when it arrived. I was a little bummed out that they shorted me two wings on a 20 piece but the wings were pretty big so I'm not super upset. Do try their cheesesteaks and wings!

In an effort to try all the good pizza places in my neighborhood, we have decided that Golden State Pizza & Grill is one of the best in Bernal. My stepmom was raving about them, so we looked them up and saw they had really good reviews. The first order was just a simple pepperoni pizza and I was happy with it, but it was not too unique. The second time we ordered, which was this past Saturday, we got a "On the Road" pizza and the spicy chilli wings. Both were above my expectations and we were very happy with our order.

Great late nice spot for good fresh pizza right out of the oven pizza. Came here around 2 am after the bar. Boys odered large cheese and pepperoni pizza. It was delicious, crust wasn't to thick it was just right. It hit that late night craving. It's small place with a couple of tables to eat outside. They have an ATM machine inside that offers BIT coins I haven't seen that before.

Gotten takeout here a couple times. First off, having a parking lot is a game changer, especially in an area of Frisco where parking can be a pain in the ass. It's mainly a takeout spot so people are usually in and out of there, so there's usually a spot to park. All that to say, the convenience of this place is a big plus. The pizza? Solid. Not mad at em one bit. I've also gotten the lemon pepper wings a couple times and they low key smack! If you need a convenient takeout spot with solid pizza and wings then this should be on the list.

Separate vegetarian and vegan menu which I greatly appreciate. Also options to make your own pizza.

This place is delicious and convenient! They even have a mini parking lot to park in which is great for the area. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious and filling. Also really enjoyed the fried combo which came with sauces thankfully. Amazing spot here for quick food!

An extra star for being open late. The pizza was fresh and the employees nice, but the style of pizza here isn't my favorite. Thicker crust and tons of cheese. If you like extra-cheesy pizza, then this place is for you! I selected the Greek pizza because it had pesto sauce (love!). It also had olives, chicken, and feta. I thought the pizza would only have feta but it must have been combined with mozzarella. Still, I ate my slices happily! My dining companions really liked their pizza and wings. There is a parking lot and a couple picnic benches to sit outside. Adorable prices and most importantly, open late!

Wings are !! On Hit!!!!!!!! I grabbed lemon pepper and mango habanero, and they lemon pepper remind me of this famous spot that shut down. Also, they're open past midnight. Pizza is smackin too!! My new go to no doubt!

This used to be a chain pizza spot, I was reluctant to even go in because there's great pizza in the neighborhood. Lived here for years. I made a mistake. 10$ + for the absolute most garbage pizza I've ever had If you're looking for pizza look elsewhere.

Great spot for cheap eats !! The pizza is always fresh and ready in a flash ... This place charges about half of what other expensive sf pizzerias charge .

The worst customer service I've ever experienced, the delivery driver wouldn't come in building to complete delivery. I stated to the driver if I come down to get my food I'm taking tip back and calling owners. Delivery driver hung up on me, manager proceeded to call me yell at me about their policies I asked for a refund manager refused. I never received anything and they felt the right to keep my money. Called next day and was able to get half my money back. I never dealt with a company that felt they have the right to keep your money. So I warn you do not order from here if you live in a complex with 2 or more floors.

I'm from Seattle, WA but I visit my brother who lives in Bernal Heights very often. I love Golden State so much. The food is absolutely delicious, their service is prompt and always serves their food hot and fast. They have sooo many toppings for their pizza. Their wings are juicy and their mozzarella sticks are soooo savory and crispy. We order from them almost two or three times while we visit. Plus it's wonderful to order from them for a late night snack! Highly recommend. If attack pictures but the food is gone by the time I think about it.

Literally the most garbage pizza I've ever had and they charge top money for this. Disappointed.

I have tried GS and I loved! The individual size is perfect for one. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place has parking spot available. There are 2 tables outside that fits 4 perfectly! There is no complaints at all!

I'm so happy that they're back open late !!!! The service from the ladies are so polite in the front, the food takes a 10-15 mins all the time, which isn't bad for FRESH pizza!! Their wings are as well. Highly recommend

I was pleasantly surprised for Super Bowl 58, I thought I was ordering pizza from a place closer to me, as the first time I ordered from this place was delivery and didn't pay attention to its location. Golden Gate Pizza has a delicious Lombardi pizza that my family has fallen in love with (No tomato sauce). I drove to pick up SB Sunday and got good service on a busy day. Strictly takeout, so there's no place to sit.

Wanted to try a new pizza delivery to my home. Probably was a wrong choice. Tasteless and lacking cheese, and toppings. To me it was just a flat no frills pizza. I've had much better. I trusted the reviews and was stirred wrong. I guess I will have to stick to my go to. I so wanted to love this place

Great pizza shouldn't be so difficult but often is. This pizza was fine. Fine is really not good enough especially in SF. What we didn't like. $2.75 for spinach topping. I think there might have been a total of 2 leaves. Very little sauce meant little flavor. Tasted mostly like bread. What were liked: Staff were nice. Time from order to pick up was efficient. Would we come back? Sadly no.

I ordered a build your own calzone and the lemon pepper wings. I would've liked the calzone to be crispier but it turned out really good. The wings could've had more lemon pepper seasoning on them, but they were cooked throughly and served fresh. Service was great and I'll definitely be back to try a salad.

Three stars only because my kid really liked the cheesesteak sandwich. Pizza is supposed to be a balanced, flavorful blend of cheese, sauce and toppings. This pizza had little to zero sauce in some areas and the sausage reminded me of the cheap, tiny little sausages on dominos or generic frozen pizzas. The result was no flavor.... Sorry, can't order this again.

This is a pretty good pizza place. A good pie for getting Pizza on Mission Street. The cheese and sauce were good. They have a cool name and logo by the way.

Very solid food. Pizza is American style, thicker crust and very cheesy. Prices are also very reasonable at $30+ for their largest size, which is great for parties. Their wings are delicious, and I love their assortment of different fun sides such as curly fries, jalapeño poppers, onion rings etc.

I ordered on the phone for a pick up, so when I got there it was already hot and ready. I got a personal pizza and it was worth it, the spread was fresh and this was enough for 2 people. The quality and quantity was on point for this hole in the wall pizza joint.

Yum! We love this pizza, especially for game day. We usually get the pepperoni which is cheesy and has lots of pepperoni. My husband also likes the cheesesteaks and mozzarella sticks (some already eaten in the picture!).

Solid pizza with no frills. Great option for kid's birthdays or super bowl parties, or just a casual night in. We got the cheese and pepperoni pizzas and were happy with both. The Caesar salad was about what you'd expect at the airport with the pre-grated Parmesan, pre-packaged croutons, and packet of dressing on the side -- but it was a hit with my kids so that's a win.

We ordered carry out from here this evening, and were quite pleased! Tasty pizza, great wings, and friendly, helpful service. We ordered a Golden State Special pizza and Cajun wings, and found both very flavorful. They were generous with the pizza toppings. We appreciated the fact they gladly accommodated our request to make one half without cheese (as my husband doesn't eat it). I called in my order, and it was ready for pick up in about 20 minutes. The staff was warm and friendly. I was able to pay via ApplePay, which was convenient. I really appreciated the fact that they brought my order out to me when I was waiting outside for it after paying. We are glad this new pizza place has opened and look forward to returning!

Weekend trip to San Francisco! I decided to stop by this pizza joint. Awesome pizza! Hot, fresh, and yummy.

Went inside and ordered a pepperoni personal pizza to go. The restaurant was clean and bright. Took approximately 10 mins wait for the pizza to be ready. The pizza was fluffy, cheesey, and saucy. Split the pizza for 2 people and was sufficient. Wish there were more pepperoni on the pizza (minus 1/2 star for not enough pepperoni). Definitely will come back again.

I ordered takeout from here a year ago, and now they are sending me spam texts. Not cool.

I'm so glad I found this place! Delicious pizza, fair prices and wonderful service! Also, it's great to support a local, family-run business. I had a party for 70 students yesterday, and Golden State Pizza helped me figure out the right portions/pizzas for such a big group, delivered the pizzas right on time (despite me procrastinating and placing the order the night before), and the pizzas were so yummy. Students kept coming back for seconds and even thirds! We especially loved the Green Potato Pizza--the mix of pesto and potatoes and cheese was delicious and well balanced. I'll definitely be placing more orders in the future!

This is our new favorite pizza place. Family owned and it shows. They went out of their way to get pizza to my kids birthday party in a city park. The quality is good and the hours make me happy. Something good actually open late.

Ordered a med special and some stinging honey wings for my friends bday on PI delivered by doordash. Transaction went smoothly and my friend told me it was very good.

Visiting San Francisco with the kids for the first time. Saw this pizza joint on the corner as we were heading to Safeway to get groceries! Pleasantly surprised! Everyone was raving about the pizza! We just got pepperoni and some garlic cheese bread and it was amazing!!!

My favorite pizza spot ever! My go-to is always the Pier 23, single slice or a whole box it doesn't matter. Their pastas are also a 10/10 (chicken pesto Alfredo is sooo good and filling) and their delivery services are better than Uber Eats. I'm always super satisfied with my orders, and it's located in the heart of the Mission!

Solid pizza spot that's open late not the weekends. We stopped by here after a night of drinking on Mission st. Very nice feature at Golden State Pizza is they will make you any slice type fresh and it took about 10-15 minutes after we ordered our slices. I got a slice of the Buffalo Chicken Special with no ranch and a slice of Lombard pizza. Both were very good slices and was needed after a night of drinking. Definitely want to try Golden State Pizza again but love their slice option.

This place is perfect for this stretch of Mission. If you're in the mood for a "normal" pizza instead of Zante down the street (which still is and always will be another favorite), this is the spot. Solid pizza, high quality, good value. You can get anything by the slice. Dough and sauce are made from scratch. Ingredients are fresh. Portions are generous - toppings cover every inch with more than enough cheese to match. One of my new favorites in the city.

We stumbled upon this place after picking up some ice cream at Mitchell's. We ordered an XL half cheese and half pepperoni and ordered a medium specialty pizza shrimp delight. We will go back again to order, we wanted to also order the Fisherman's Wharf, but it was already 11:30pm and we already had to much food before turning in for the day. Until the next visit. Enjoy!

The vegetarian special was decent tasting but the slices were cut extremely large. We were told 8 slices but got 6 which made it difficult to eat in the car with a toddler. Would've liked a higher density of veggies but it was acceptable

Great new business! The pizza is so good! Fluffy crust and amazing sauce! They have so many options as well. The staff is so friendly and inviting. I also tried the wings and they were delicious and crispy! Will definitely be coming back many more times!

For the price and convenience I would say this place is pretty good. Standard decent pizza. But they charge you to split a pizza's toppings on each side as if they were on the whole pie which is a rip off. If they would change this I would give 4stars.

I've tried a lot of places and this is actually the best pizza I've had in the city. The white sauce is soo good. I've also tried the wings, salads, pastas, and desserts. All phenomenal!

This place is a rip off!!!! 2 slices of pizza for 15 dollars, are you kidding me?! I know we're in San Francisco, but that is beyond expensive for pizza. And let me tell you it wasn't that good, definitely not worth 15 dollars. I could have gotten a whole pizza for that money. Also the cashier was not friendly at all, didn't feel welcomed. I didn't even feel like eating the pizza after I paid 15 dollars for it. Please don't go here, wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

Ordered because drunchies, it was amazing. Like Costco pizza but better and stretchier cheese/less sweet sauce. Fire!!!

My grandma stopped by here on the way home and brought us a cheese pizza. It was a solid pizza and very tasty. We were sad to have pizza hut gone but glad it got replaced by this place because what we had was simple but tasted great.

Best tasting freshest pizza ever tasted. This is definitely my go to spot. Friendly service fast service good quality pizza this is a must try.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THEIR BURGERS! I just finished their spicy cheeseburger and it was amazing. I didn't expect much since it's a pizza spot but it was soooo good. Plus it's huge. I'll definitely be ordering again. Make sure to add beef bacon
