Golden Thali

We ordered chilli paneer, roti, and navratan pulao. The food was served hot, however it was quite bland and it lacked seasoning especially salt and was quite oily. Overall, it was an okay experience.

GO HERE. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS . I am vegan and the dhal and channa masala was divine. Great vegan options. The naan comes out fresh steaming hot. This is a hidden gem next to Chinatown and they're open late !! Yum!!!!

I ordered the veg biryani and Sambar soup. When you enter this absolute gem of an establishment, you’re greeted with the aroma of traditional Indian cuisine and friendly staff. You’ll walk past the kitchen and up to the lovely dining room where you’ll receive exceptional service. The chef was accommodating and when i asked to have my dishes made spicier than extra spicy, they lit me on fire. The heat and spices are still dancing on my tongue. If you enjoy Indian food or would like to try it, i would highly recommend golden thali restaurant. It’s located on rue Clark in the heart of old Montreal between quarter des spectacles and china town. I will be returning, hopefully sooner than later as I’m from out of town. Five stars

This is a fantastic Indian restaurant with authentic flavors that remind me of home. the naan was fresh from the tandoor. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was elegant and cozy, making it a great spot for a special night out. I highly recommend this hidden gem!"

Delicious food, but service and cleanliness need improvement. The food tastes just like home — their vegetable curry and chicken curry are absolutely amazing, full of flavor and truly finger-licking good. The tea is excellent, served in a large steel mug — one of the best I’ve had! Service was decent but a bit slow, and the washrooms weren’t very clean, which took away from the experience. I even went back the next day just for the tea, but they didn’t allow us to sit inside since we only ordered tea, they said alone tea can only be take-away — that was a big disappointment. Still, for the food and tea alone, it’s worth a visit!

My partner and I were there a couple of weeks ago. Very unassuming small restaurant serving fantastic Indian/Pakistani food. We are from the UK so we are used to very good food from this particular cuisine (yes, really!). It certainly matches what we are used to. Service was friendly and efficient. We can recommend Golden Thali. Worth 5 stars.

Great food! I got the Lamb curry and garlic naan and the curry was absolutely fantastic. Very flavorful and perfectly balanced. Lamb was a bit tough so that's the only reason for the 4 star but the curry was so tasty it made up for it. Food seemed very authentic and well priced. Lady serving was nice too. I would recommend this restaurant for sure. I'll be back next time I'm in Montreal.
