Today’s visit to Golden Thyme Cafe and Restaurant & Bar was nothing short of a treat! Gathering with my sisters for a relaxing day filled with heartfelt conversation, we were able to enjoy the perfect blend of coffee, culture, and curated elegance. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere exuded warmth, sophistication, and a true celebration of Black excellence. The staff was incredible – so welcoming and genuinely warm, making us feel like we were dining with family. There’s something so special about a place where you can feel both pampered and at home at the same time. Our waitress, Savannah, was the absolute highlight of the experience. She was attentive, kind, and truly made our day even brighter (Savannah, we love you girl🤎). Now, let’s talk about the food! The catfish linguine special was an absolute revelation. The catfish was perfectly cooked—melt-in-your-mouth buttery with just the right touch of crispness. It was the kind of dish that makes you pause and savor every bite. Pair that with a cocktails, and we were in culinary heaven. Golden Thyme isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a space where stories are shared, memories are made, and you leave feeling like your spirit has been nourished as much as your body. I can’t wait to return and experience it all over again. Thank you, Golden Thyme, for providing a beautiful place where three Haitian sisters could come, get our cups filled, and enjoy each other’s company in the most perfect way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, an amazing vibe, and a true sense of community!

We stopped in off of a suggestion from my coworker Kirk. He said the food was good and plentiful. Well he was right. We made a reservation before we came and were seated promptly. It took no time for the food to come out and it was delicious. It was hot, fresh and flavorful. I suggest the po boy. It was definitely worth it and the price was decent especially with the amount we received. Will visit again.

From the moment you step into Golden Thyme, you're wrapped in an atmosphere of warm elegance and culinary anticipation. This isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience that lingers long after the last bite. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and upscale, with thoughtfully curated décor that invites both comfort and conversation. Whether you're seated for a romantic dinner, a family celebration, or a solo indulgence, the staff make you feel like the most important guest in the room — attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pretentious. Now, the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish at Golden Thyme is a masterpiece, combining bold, fresh flavors with refined technique. You can tell that each ingredient is chosen with intention and respect — not just for flavor, but for the story it tells on the plate. From the perfectly seared proteins to the innovative vegetarian options, every course offers something exciting and satisfying. And the presentation? Almost too beautiful to eat… almost. Special shoutout to the cocktails and wine pairings — expertly crafted and surprisingly adventurous without overshadowing the food. Save room for dessert; the sweet finales are a symphony of texture and taste. Golden Thyme isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a place where passion meets plate, where hospitality meets heart. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a culinary destination you won’t want to miss. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable food, flawless service, and a golden touch in every detail

Do yourself a favor and make a reservation! This will be known as St. Paul's Gem. The food reminded me of being in New Orleans - the vibe is so dang cool. The manager and the rest of the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The mac and cheese croquettes were sublime. The ribs, slaw and johnny cake were PERFECT. I tasted my hubby's bourbon old fashioned and it was as smooth as a baby's bottom. Wow!! We will definitely be back and I LOVE that this place is one block from our house. It is one of a kind, for sure. Please join us there!

Amazing food, had the maccoroni croquet based on reviews here and it did not disappoint it was absolutely delicious yet still left room for an entree. The Jambalaya linguine was amazing as well and a perfect blend of flavors where each ingredient added something to the dish. The service was also very friendly and quick.

I am obsessed with the newly revamped Golden Thyme. The food is delicious and flavorful. I can’t get over their take on the shrimp and grits. This is the perfect spot for happy hour with friends or colleagues as well as a great place for date night.

Today, I had the pleasure of sharing a delightful lunch with my husband, a moment that reminded me of the importance of breaking bread together in our community. We attended the soft opening of a new restaurant, and I couldn't be prouder of my neighbor Adam, the executive chef. His passion and dedication shine through in every dish, and the fact that this restaurant is just five blocks from our homes makes it all the more special. This establishment holds a deeper significance, as it stands on property owned by the Rondo Foundation. For those who may not know, the Rondo community was profoundly impacted by the construction of Interstate Highway 94, which divided a vibrant Black neighborhood. In response to that legacy, the foundation is committed to revitalizing and nurturing Black-owned businesses, and this new restaurant is a shining beacon of that mission. It’s the first of its kind between Lexington and Dale on Selby Avenue, paving the way for more Black and Brown businesses to thrive on our blocks. Let us come together to support these initiatives, celebrate our local talent, and nurture the spirit of community. By uniting our efforts, we can create a vibrant ecosystem that uplifts and empowers all. Together, we can restore the heart and soul of our neighborhood, honoring its past while building a brighter future for generations to come.
