I love Golden wing, wings. Every bite is so savory & fully flavored. Bae got the rice which us okay in my opinion; I'm not a fan of the neon traffic cone colored shrimp😟 Very unnatural looking plus they're very very small. I ate but I regretted it tho. I mean the rice was really nice & flavorful & also b4 I 4get the scrambled eggs in the rice is ALWAYS overcooked & HARD. Other than that I really enjoyed the wings & definitely would go back & purchase more. I highly recommend the wings!

I'm from Louisiana, but I live in Texas. Every time I go back to Louisiana, I stop here. Their chicken & rice is phenomenal! I gave two stars because the man that was taking our orders, moved so slowly. He didn't give great customer service like the woman that always takes our order! The building is too small for all the people that order there at one time! The food is always great though.

Golden wings is a new discovery for me .It is a small takeout place w "Delicious Wings , Fries &,rice, and there is quite an assortment of items on the menu. However, this is what was ordered & purchased and today. The lines are long, but the service is fast . I could easily have food catered from there 😋 ! I highly recommend this place to anyone

Parking lot was full, so we had to wait for someone to pull out. Our food was ready in 15 minutes and smelled delicious. I asked for some ketchup and napkins and the lady told me that they don’t give ketchup for chicken. I don’t know if it was because I got a 50 pcs, but I have never been told that I can’t get packages of ketchup while picking up food. Ketchup is a condiment and I guess the no napkins means I’m suppose to wipe my hands on my shirt. Other than the fast service, placing my order was seamless. Some pieces of chicken were fried with feathers on. Although tasty, I probably won’t return or recommend.

I ordered the 75-piece wings and shrimp fried rice. The wings? On point—crispy, seasoned, and full of flavor. The fried rice was solid too. BUT… what’s up with those lil’ baby red shrimp?? I mean, seriously. They tasted fine, but I had to squint to find them! For the price, I expected grown-up shrimp. Still a good meal overall, just give us real seafood, please!

I from New Orleans but lives in Mississippi. My family is on the Westbank and that’s more reason for me to get a chicken plate with chicken fried rice and/or fries depending on if I have my grandchildren with me. I haven’t had any problems with my food. I always add green onions to my rice. If I get a salad, add extra pickles and mayonnaise with tomatoes. My grandchildren love going here and always ask if I’m stopping. I spend about $50 when they’re with me. My daughter gets shrimp on bun with eggs rolls and eats the children fries. Our go for as long as they’re located there. The lobby is small and the parking lot stays full. You have to keep in mind there’s other businesses there as well.

Food was honestly horrible I ordered a 10 piece with fries and my food was terrible fries wasn’t cooked all the way an chicken tasted old

I love coming here. The chicken is always so good. I always order the 14-piece chicken plate with double combination rice. You have to get there at the right time, or you'll be standing in a long line.

The wings never disappoint! I have never had greasy or clod chicken from this place. It's a to go specific place that is always good and busy but they are fast on service.

Always good and always consistent. You can't go wrong grabbing lunch or party trays from here, it's a West Bank classic!

I won't waste your time. If you are from the city then you know what's up. If you are not, what they do well here is good food at very affordable prices, hot and fresh fare, precise order execution, quick service, and straight forward ordering processes with little wait time. There are no dine in options. You can't order ahead of time by phone. To my knowledge they are not on any delivery service platforms and they don't offer an online food ordering service. This is a mom and pop wing spot that is in and out service only. They do accept card. You place your order and wait for the ticket to be called. They allow for some customization. Be clear on what you want, ask questions they are more than willing to explain your options. As for the food it's pretty good. In my neighborhood places like this cater our life events from birthdays, to graduations, to baby showers, to church dinners. The wings are crispy and juicy. The poboys are good and so are the sides. People place large orders all the time. You can't go wrong here. If you need a quick bite and don't feel like a long wait or dining in or if you need to feed event goers but don't want to crush the event budget, this is where I would go.

Fast service, great tasting wings for the Halloween party. Best price around for 59 wings! Worth the drive with slow traffic at 5 pm!

Chicken is inconsistent, so much so that we ordered three plates and had over salted chicken on one plate and no salt on the chicken in one plate. Left a lot to be desired, I will probably just stick to the esplanade Manchu next time.

Our usual wing place was closed so we quickly goodlges wings on the way out of NOLA and this place popped up. So glad we got to try. Went in to order and you know it will be good by the steady stream of people coming in to order and the many who came to pick up their to go orders and thaoe sitting around the place waiting for their order. They still asked to be masked while you order and no one can eat inside which was fine by us because we had to hit the road. We knew we wanted wings but want sure what to order. There's not many flavors besides BBQ or spicy or regular and she said spicy is spicy. I don't like bbq but my kids do so we got 25 bbq and 25 regular and a plate with fries boneless. And waited. It came out fast and we took it to go. And yum. I loved my regular fried chicken and it's just regular fried chicken but it's good. The bbq was good but it's a bit saucy so it was wet and I am not a fan of wet wings but the fan liked it. Their wings aren't huge but ok size. My son loved his boneless platter with fries. They are just battered thighs but he enjoyed it. Overall it was a good stop. Price is more than fair. Worth the stop!

Another quick food run. In and out in about 7 minutes. Friendly staff greets you upon entry and thanks you after every transaction.

As everyone who has ever been here before knows, the chicken here is always exceptional. However, this time, I finally tried their fried fish. And, it was jut as AMAZING as their chicken! Why am I not surprised?! Their fish was crispy and delish. It was so flavorful, you don't need to dip it in any sauce because it's that good as it is. As it turns out, Golden Wings is always packed not just for their chicken, but for their fish too! FANTASTIC!

Anytime I've ever posted about wings, my niece has sent me a message saying that I HAVE to try @goldenwings_westbank. Then after her nudging, I started to hear other people talk about them having the best wings, so it was clear the world and all of its cosmos wanted me to try these crispy, fried wings. And as crazy as my niece might be, she wasn't wrong about this spot. In regards to fried wings, they were probably the crispiest and most flavorful I've had. Before I even tried them, I knew they were going to be great because there was a line about 10 ppl deep. I'll never get down with the fried rice with the Lil' mini food-coloring red shrimp as a side, but that's a personal choice and certainly not what people line up for. If I had to do it again, I would have just gotten the wings instead of the plate meal.

Golden fried wings and shrimp fried rice just works. The spot opened at 10am and by 10:15, I was the 13th person in line. Best of all, I waited less than 10mins for my order. I was in and out, demolishing the wings back in my hotel room.

The only place I could find a large pan of wings a couple days before Thanksgiving without a reservation! The wings were fried to perfection and reasonably priced. It was easy to find the location also.

Simply the best fried chicken wings, hands down. They are really golden and a nice size. Not at all like Manchu's dark and tiny wings, fit for shrimp bait. I hear it's the same people, but the wings are NOT the same. The shrimp fried rice at Golden Wings is almost as good as the fried chicken. Service is good. The staff is friendly and professional. It's best to call ahead as it's typically a wait cause it's so popular. I don't what they put in the fried rice, because it looks so plain, but it's simply delish. These wings are so addictive. Bring these to a potluck and you will be the star of the party, or order them for your kid's classroom party and your child will be popular for at least a day.

Hole in the wall. But the food is good. Service is fast. Ordered a few times. Seems like hole in the walls places are the best to eat at.

I was informed that this was the same owners of 7th Wards Man Chu, so I was definitely eager to come here. For those of you that do not know, Man Chu is known for mighty tasty fried chicken wings. You know that this place is quite busy because their is a sign informing people that they do not have to pre-order food, but if they must pre-order, they will only accept orders up to one day in advance. I opted to order a 50 piece fried wings and a large combo fried rice. The combo rice has shrimp, ham and chicken in it. I'll let you know this, the taste is definitely Man Chu. These are the well fried and well flavored fried wings that made the 7th Ward location quite popular. The rice is worth your time as well. I will also tell you that these two establishments have no relationship to each other! The taste is so similar to whereas I understand the confusion. There are many culinary options here, so come through for whatever your taste may be. They also have New Orleans' own soda, Big Shot, in full supply. Come eat up! Update: I was contacted by the business, and they are, in fact, related to the owners of Man Chu! That taste is definitely a family secret and blessing!

Because it was Super Bowl, it was a mad house with lines going out the door and waiting time was an hour or more for some people. Mines literally took a hour wait for 50 pieces of wings and a large tray of fried rice. The wings were smaller then other place I have purchased but it was well seasoned and good. The fried rice was ok, nothing to brag about. But don't take my words for it because I can cook my own fried rice so I'm a little bias. I would definitely come back for the wings if I have another party but I'll be smart and let someone else do the picking up...lol

Delicious. Hot and fresh. The wings are perfectly seasoned. The rice doesn't look seasoned, but it is delicious and so flavorful. Ask for extra egg in the rice, you won't regret it. They don't answer their phone to take orders, but it doesn't take more that 10-15 minutes to go in and order. So good!!!

The wings are fireeeeee! My new favorite wing place. The place is right off the highway. When you first enter this restaurant you will always find a line. The staff is very nice and they keep the Line moving. I would recommend trying the chicken wings and a side as a first timer. My personal favorite is a 10 pc wing!

Golden Wings is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant on the Westbank for take out food! Their location is very close to oakwood mall and has very ample parking space. Also, Golden Wings is not meant for sitting in and dining, just a grab and go spot! They are very well known for their "crack" wings, but also have other miscellaneous platters such as butterfly shrimps, mandarin chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and boneless chicken. Their wings are extremely, addicting! These miniature pieces of heaven are covered in a very crispy and Cajun seasoned fried batter. There are three flavors to choose from: regular seasoned wings, hot (Buffalo), or barbecue. My favorite is their regular seasoned wings. Since they don't do half-and-half flavors for one plate, I usually ask for a cup of hot sauce or bbq for. 50 cents. There's a minimum charge of $8.00 to spend on either debt or credit card. And they don't accept American express. It can often get a bit crowded, but it usually takes longer waiting in line compared to getting your food! If you're on the Westbank, definitely go and try their wings!

The rice is embarrassing but the chicken is really good and the salad and fries lol I haven't tried the flavored wings yet but I'm sure they're good too

Great prices. Good food. 100 wings for $48.99! That's a great deal if you're having a party. 8 wings for only $4.49! They have combo plates with rice as well. You walk in and it's counter service with open space and chairs around the perimeter of the room so you can wait for your order. I ordered 100 wings and a large pan of fried rice and it only took 10 minutes! SUPER FAST! Whether you need some good old fried wings and rice for a party, a small family, or just yourself, this is a great place in the West Bank for a quick stop!

Terrible customer service. Lady typing on her cellphone while taking my order with her aide turned to the register: Stating she does not allow customers to insert their own payment card into the machine "because she just got a new cash register". I do not allow strangers to just grab a hold of my debit card. I recommend she takes business courses on customer service etiquettes or investing in quality equipment.

I stopped in here after reading multiple reviews about how great it was. My dad was in the mood for chicken and I remembered this place, so I headed over. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. I'm talking line out the door, people inside waiting on their order packed. I took this as a good sign, so I hopped in line and got ready to order at the window. I got the 14 piece chicken combo which comes with fries and a salad. It was a little over $10 which was perfect because there's a $10 minimum on cards. After you order they give you a number and you sit and wait. On this day the wait was about 15 minutes, because of the crowd, but that wasn't a problem. When my number was called I got my food and I was on my way. The chicken itself is tasty and really generous. There was an even mix of wings and legs and I enjoyed it. The fries weren't anything spectacular and the salad was just lettuce, so next time I might skip the combo and get the 14 piece for $8 deal. While Golden Wings isn't on the level of Popeyes, you can't beat the price and the food is enjoyable. I'll be back.

The fried chickens wings are awesome! The fried rice is good as well. If you are on the Westbank and want some chicken wings this is the place to go. Just prepare yourself to wait in line. there is always a line but definitely worth it. Good prices as well.

In the area on business and tried this place. I ordered the 14 piece fried (No sauce) with double chicken fried rice and it was great! Hot, crispy and fresh. The fry on the wings was outstanding. The fried rice was delicious. Def going here again next time I'm in town.

I am a fried chicken kinda gal, I love my fried chicken. Especially from a day of working. This place is not a place to sit and dine at- you pick up and you get out cause it's slammed packed busy. They run out of chicken busy. It is a hole in the wall and has its own uniqueness. Love the flavor. Got the 25 pcs. Crispy Chicken and I ate 15/25 wings in one sitting. Also ate my eggroll. Saving the rest to heat up in the convention oven for tomorrow. Yes, I did that- I bought 25 wings for today and tomorrow. My husband got z-e-r-o wings. Love it. You can't beat the price either! Once again, this is a pick up- togo- place. You bring home to eat or eat in your car. You don't go to the bathroom there or anything- you pick up, and you go. They're working on an online ordering thing which will make things even better for their traffic flow. They're friendly and kind too! I typically don't rate asian places for their friendliness because in all honesty asian places you go there for the food not the service . But they answered their Facebook messenger page fast, professionally, and kindly. It was very much appreciated. Thanks Golden Wings!

Definitely a great spot to get chicken. Why? 1. Awesome chicken (duh) 2. Really nice folks who work there 3. Cheap...(not in quality, just in price) 4. You're eating where locals eat 5. Did I mention cheap?? I really liked this place and I'm SOOO glad I got to try this place. Way better than Willie Mae's for a far more realistic price. Go get some chicken here y'all!

Once again I was looking for somewhere to eat lunch close to work and I decided to stop by Golden Wings. The selection is limited but it was good. I was surprised that after ordering I turned around and the line was going out of the door. So I assumed that the must be good and after trying it was worth my time trying this place. It will be added to my place for lunch on the Westbank whenever I want chicken wings.

The holes in the wall are the best places to eat. Definitely a must !!!!! If you're in the area definitely try this place

All I can say is the wings are bomb! Golden Wings is the hood spot! In a good way! True to the name, Their wings come out Golden every time. Walking in, it's counter take out service only! The menu is pretty simple. After you order, they give you a number and you wait. The lines can be long, but the little girl behind the counter does a good job yelling out and distributing the goods fast and efficiently. You know it's a family business! We ordered a 100 count wings, original fried with a large pan of Combination fried rice. The wings are crispy and moist and definitely packed with flavor. It was not overly salty which makes this wing something you can have with or without ketchup which is rare for me. I need ketchup for any chicken I eat! My preference though. The fried rice was moist and filled with all the goodies; vegetables, proteins such as shrimp, ham, and chicken! They give you soy sauce and duck sauce if you need it more savory or sweeter. This is the go to spot to get that party pack for the game or just a good family meal. Or for any event for that matter. Don't take my word for it, go try it yourself if you're ever in the area!

First time here, in YEARS! I arrived about 3:15 on a Thursday evening. I was waiting behind 2 others. After I ordered my food, that is when people started coming in and it started getting crowded. The wait was not long to get my food (I got a 10 pc w/ double rice) Once I got back to work to eat, I couldn't stop eating it. It was AMAZING! I kept taking breaks to eat it little by little. HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH. I got addicted that fast, and I had to fight the urge the next day to not go and get some, because of course I had food at home. But I will be back SOON. I recommend this spot to anyone. You can't beat the prices at all. Very cheap.

I always hear so much about the wings here and had them from parties, but finally decided to go myself. The place is fairly small, and was very busy when I arrived, but, the line moved very quickly. Menu was short and self explanatory, the staff was nice and helpful. I ordered the 100 party wing tray, and a small container of rice.. I was not disappointed. These little wings were so tender and perfectly salted, that I would pop one in my mouth, and with one pull, the bone comes out! The rice was also delicious and was enough to feed more than 4 people. I would come back for more wings when I'm in town!

Everytime I come out here I need a quick fix of that manchu's chicken. Thank God there is version on the west bank now. That drive use to be worth it but now to be so close and to be so good, frequent stop for me .

The best wings on west bank and east bank, lines are long, but they move quick. They live up to their name "Golden Wings" every order is golden, plus try their egg rolls. They are fantastic!!

My husband and I absolutely love this place! No lie it's kinda uncomfortable going in but just bring a friend! Lol. They have THE best fried chicken ever and it is so affordable. They're great for parties bc they have party trays (still very affordable)! I don't even know how to describe the flavor. It's perfectly salted and always comes out fresh. ALWAYS! This is our go-to place for friend chicken besides Popeyes. But it's different. Just trust me and check it out. They have other locations in New Orleans with different names but this location has the best flavor. How you ask? I have no idea...the other locations just taste different. The wait may seem long, I usually wait about 10 minutes maybe? But it's worth the wait. The line may be out the door but it goes super fast!

So far this has been the best local chicken I've tried. We consistently get this for work lunch functions. Excellent choice!

Seriously this place is a hole in the wall! They have the BEST tasting chicken wings ever and shrimp poboys. Their fried rice is just as good. I always come here almost every other week and food is always on point. This place really needs to be expand to more locations. Please please please open up one in Marrero. I'll be your best customer. I recently ordered food for my son's 1st birthday. I got the chicken wings, combination fried rice, and shrimp poboys. Mind you, they do party trays too. Everything was finger lickin good.

Whaaaaaaa? Whaaaaaa?! How many years has this place been here and I never wobbled my way into the door? Whaaaaa?!?!!! I have come here quite a bit since I found it, and let me tell ya.... the buffalo wings are rollin!! Im not kidding, they are really super good! The right size, right amount of batter, no feathers, and the hot sauce is actually kinda hot. Made me sweat , well that isn't saying much, but its a good sweat and I keep coming back for more. If you are going to someones house for the game or a garage sale or whatever, drop in here real quick like, they don't do phone orders, and order 50 wangs real quick. You will be kicking yourself like I have as to why you haven't been eating wings here all along. Oh...and they are ludicrous cheap

This place is such a staple for the West Bank community. There's a method to the madness in running a business like this, but the product speaks for itself. There's always a line and I'll always make time. Prices so low, so getchu some mo'. Just do yourself a favor and buy 100 wings and invite everyone over.

I'm amazed this place only have 2 reviews, because no matter what time I go this place is packed with people. Let me just keep it simple and say please do yourself a favor and stop by this area to get some of their awesome wings. While they are small, they pack more flavor than wings twice their size. It's delicious to say the lease. Also the price you pay for them will make you and your wallet very happy. Their customer service is great as well.

AMAZING!!! Hidden gem, nice people running the place. There is always a line, but it has nothing to do with the service, it's just how awesome the food is. You will never wait long here and your food is always hot and fresh!

The wings are always hot, fresh and well seasoned. I have been here more times than I care to admit but I love it here. The prices are reasonable and the place is usually packed... especially during football season. I find the service to be pretty good and fast, considering the high volume of ppl they service. Worth the drive. Yummy combination rice too (add egg!). Happy eating!
