Golden Yolk Griddle

Disappointed with the breakfast burritos. Picked up a couple of bacon breakfast burritos this morning, and they tasted like they’d been sitting around for hours. The tortillas were soggy, there were way too many potatoes, and overall, they lacked flavor. At nearly $12 each, I expected much better quality.

This place has real sugar Pepsi-Cola in cans! My favorite items involve beans and other such stuff. Excellent meal for under 20 bucks. I added the blue chips.

7/27/21: This cute corner window spot serves up some deliciousness. Ordered an Americano, breakfast burrito (sans meat), and a biscuit with chorizo gravy. I was very satisfied. Loved the tortilla, thin with a nice chew. Filling of potatoes, egg, black beans, salsa, cheese... Made me happy. Biscuit and gravy is big. Lots of chunks of chorizo! Biscuit is a bit dense with a slight honey flavor. It went well the spicy chorizo. Bonus points for compostable packaging.

It's bus stop food. $10+ for a breakfast burrito which is a little spendy but what isn't anymore. It's in a good location if you're downtown and it has fast service. No receipt offered or napkins. They have a marketing reward program. 1 point for every $6. After spending $60 you can redeem points. The hot sauce is decent. It's a habanero sauce like Yucatan gold. Tried the chorizo burrito. No chorizo tastes so far. It's a fine breakfast burrito. But I'd feel better paying $7 for it.

Usually really great, sometimes is pretty busy and have to wait awhile. Love the breakfast burritos! Last order had avocado in it and was not supposed for both burritos though, kind of a drag as I’m allergic and I took a big bite out of it and then had to dispose of the mouthful, but my partner enjoyed my burrito. Can be a bit spendy with add ons and substitutions (nearly $20 for a burrito).

I have been on the lookout for consistently good breakfast food since many of my local favorites have closed over the years. I consider high praise to say that Golden Yolk Griddle seems to be the replacement I’ve been looking for, for the Shack’s breakfast burritos. My breakfast burrito was absolutely fantastic! I could taste the quality ingredients as well as the care put into my food. The avocado was fresh, not at all brown, the eggs were light and fluffy, and the bacon was sublime. Literally every aspect of the burrito was exceptional. I also greatly appreciated the chipotle sour cream - as it was not too spicy for me, which is often a problem. The staff were kind, helpful, and gracious. They were happy to give me the time to decide what I wanted, as well as accommodating any question I had. What a wonderful first dining experience! Definitely recommend to anyone who has a few extra minutes (ten for freshly made - heck yeah) to get one of the best breakfasts in town!

I love coming and grabbing a burrito to-go. They run just a touch pricey, but that’s made up for in the quality of their food. I heard they use a specific local brand of eggs, and that’s why their yolks are so yellow and delicious! I’m not even a fan of sour cream, but the special kind they use is delicious, and the perfect way to bind together their burritos. My partner has tried their sandwiches, which they said are solid, and their drinks are tasty too! What I appreciate most about Golden Yolk is its location. I can’t drive for medical reasons, so being able to catch the bus and stop for a delicious hot breakfast right at the station is the best thing I could ask for. I usually get a grab-and-go burrito to save on time, but otherwise, the few minutes wait is because they’re making your food fresh. Just remember, they’re a breakfast place and close early, so get it while it’s good!

I think it would have been a 5 star breakfast burrito, for the price, if it weren’t for the chipotle sour cream that comes as a default. I did not prefer the clumpy texture or flavor it added. For those who like a simple breakfast burrito I would avoid the sour cream and get a side (to avoid making the tortilla soggy) of the poblano salsa.

This place is awesome! Quality food and super friendly service. My new favorite breakfast place when I want to treat myself. I'd recommend any of the burritos. I haven't explored other menu items yet. I appreciate the commitment to enviro friendly and sustainable practices above and beyond other local food businesses.

Hunger scale 2/3 (hungry) If you're on the road and looking for a quality meal while on the road this is a great option. I stopped here with my boyfriend on our long road trip. Both of us were pretty hungry but not starving. We each got breakfast burritos with minor alterations. I got the avocado salsa on the side and it was SO good. My boyfriend was bummed that they forgot to put the chipotle sour cream on his burrito and I was sad for him because it was SO good! Having a nice and easy grab and go option was nice. The cashier made sure to get our order right which we appreciated. The team was friendly overall.

Reverse order first with ambiance. None. It is a order to go place which was a challenge to locate. On the corner of a bus transit center you place your order and go. I tried the breakfast burrito. Make sure you get sauce because it was a bit bland. Service was pleasant but not sure I'd go out of may to come back.

Love this place, every item on the menu is delicious, hardest part is picking between biscuit or burrito. Nice service and great coffee

I'm giving only 4 stars because I want to go back and try some breakfast items. But I need no disrespect my burrito for lunch was awesome. It had great flavor and I had the habanero sauce which had great kick but didn't burn your mouth. I will definitely be coming back for more so I can bump up to 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this place.

Traveling through and got some breakfast here. These people really great people and their food was very hearty and delicious.

AMAZING. We drove in from Butte headed to the Missoula Airport, we stopped here due to proximity to the highway. The breakfast burritos were incredible, I will be coming again.

Got the soy boy burrito, very yummy except there wasn't a lot of the actual soyrizo in it.

Great burrito. Ordering ahead is super helpful if you have any sort of time crunch. Wish they had guacamole as an add in.

Quick, tasty and friendly service! It's now my go to place when I'm hungry and in downtown Missoula.

I didn't like anything about this place honestly. I got a breakfast sandwich with sausage and egg & it was gross. It came out so hot that it burned my fingers. The bread was so dry, and my mom's biscuit was even worse. I don't know what was up with the sausage but it was so bad I just took it off the sandwich. I highly recommend going to the bagel place on the other side of the street if you're looking for breakfast

The food was mouth watering. We got a breakfast burrito as well as the gallo pinto lunch burrito. I have to say I probably won't be eating burritos anywhere else for a while!

This place is the just the best for some on the go breakfast or lunch. Their breakfast biscuit sandwiches are so good, and their lunch burritos, coffee and cookies! The queen bean is a delicious nutritious simple burrito. Everything I've had is always good- good quality, fresh, and nice people. I always stick with the same things because there's no need to keep searching when you've found what's good. I also like to bring my dogs with me to grab a little doggie treat too.

This was an amazing spot... quick , delicious, convenient, local, great ingredients. Yerba mate latte was one of the best I've ever had! Also got the breakfast burrito, breakfast scramble platter, and the waffle! Wow the waffle was crispy and amazing.

Fast, friendly, and most of all delicious. Lots of amazing vegetarian options and their biscuits are amazing. Very hard to pass up the caramelized onions on anything they have. Sometimes there's a bit of a line so I usually call ahead or order in their website. I don't know anyone who doesn't rave about this place!!

Looking forward in trying the blue corn pancakes and salmon lunch burrito.food was good as ninja mikes.the name of business was changed for better business practice:hoping the food is just as good under new name despite they were busy and a couple other people were waiting on food they literally saw sitting waiting to be handed to them.5 stars obviously to what they were called before.
