Goldie’s Tavern

Conveniently located next to the Courtyard by Marriot near Penn Station! Apparently newly opened since last time I stayed. Very welcoming and comfortable with seating inside and out. Great food—the ribs were delish! And the bartender Sarah was awesome and super helpful with suggestions! As a solo traveler, sometimes dining out alone in NYC can be intimidating… but not here!!!

Great classic sports bar! My daughter and I stopped in for some quick to go food, and the service was fantastic. We were in a hurry, and the gentlemen working there were so accommodating. My daughter enjoyed her pretzels and tater tots. Wish we had more time to spend because I've read other reviews raving about their drinks. Would love to go back!

Great service and energy at this establishment. I took my girlfriend here and we had an amazing time! Great food, and don’t even get me started with the drinks; 10/10. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly. Great place for any kind of night out, I highly recommend. I will be back soon

After leaving MSG with a few friends, we wanted to hit a bar and came across this spot. Great food, great drinks, and great atmosphere. The staff is super friendly too and make you feel welcome. They have a ton of tv’s so definitely coming back for college football Saturdays. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good food: BBQ ribs are OK but come as a tiny portion, sliders (2 mini Cheeseburger) are very delicious, better come during happy hours from 4-7 pm (e.g. you get a big Budweiser for 5 $ and some selected snacks - like the sliders - for like half the price

I loved every bit of my experience at Goldies tavern. When I walked in and throughout the whole experience they truly made me feel like family. On top of this the food was amazing and the waitress picked out the perfect beer for my meal since I was unsure of what to have. They earned a customer for life. 10/10 recommend!!!

I had a great night at Goldies last night with my coworkers. The small bites were delicious and my friends loved the cocktails. I will definitely come back to watch football. They have great booths and TVs, which make for a great viewing experience!

We stayed at the hotel the restaurant resides in for a concert this past Wednesday. We met Celeste, she really took good care of us. The bar is brand new, but you would never be able to tell, the1 food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. Highly recommend

The staff here has been nice to us. We have really enjoyed ending our day here at the tavern. After a day of being a tourist we grab a drink and a snack and enjoy chatting with the staff.

An inexpensive spot next to the Marriott Hotel. I came in and had the vesper martini from the happy hour and the burger sliders. The sliders are good despite them being on an English muffin. The bartender was attentive and nice which I enjoyed. The space seems pretty spacious. I would come back to try a full dinner!

I came here a few weeks ago with my friend where we tried their brunch menu. And I will say it was some of the best brunch I've had in Midtown! The space of the restaurant is beautiful and very spacious and the staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming. We tried a few different menu items, and some that we thoroughly enjoyed were the quinoa salad, which was really flavorful and super fresh. We also loved the eggs Benedict and chicken and waffles. The only thing that I wish were a little different were the peach pancakes. I feel like the peaches were a little overpowering in flavor on top of the pancakes, and there were a lot of top so it made the pancakes a little to soft for my liking. I wish they were just a little bit firmer. All in all though, I wold absolutely come and I definitely recommend the food here. Now I need to try their dinner items because I was very impressed with what we had for brunch!

Ate here before a Rangers came back in January. surprisingly, there weren't too many people in the restaurant but you could see it was picking up as I was leaving. Food was awesome and the service was even better. Got the burger and was not disappointed at all. this will become my new stop before games.

Stayed at the hotel next door so stopped in for a drink. Cool little place, good ambiance and bartenders friendly. What else do you need?

This is easily one of the best sports bars in NYC. From the owner to the head bartender to the rest of the staff, they are all fantastic. The food and service are great and there's something for everyone on the menu. If you're looking to catch a game, this is a great place to hang out and eat. Highly recommend!!!

A delicious spot for a reasonable bite in NYC. Service and ambiance are friendly, excellent and the food quality is very high with locally sourced ingredients and quality wine/beer/spirits. All this said, the jams in this place are sensational. From random 80s smooth rock to hip hop, it's all really enjoyable. Thanks guys. It was a nice visit!

Put 1 star because I had to. Tried to walk in at 11:45 pm because website said it didn't close until 2am. Was refused service because they said they were closing and had said last call. While walking out, the bartender let 2 other guys walk in and have a seat at the bar. Thought about going back in there and asking what was the deal, but my girlfriend said to let it go. Not to mention ppl were in there dancing celebrating a bday party apparently. I was already told the food was subpar to begin with, but the drinks were decent. Guess I'll never know!!! All of my coworkers that stay at the Marriott courtyard (18 give or take) I will definitely tell them to go to 230 fifth instead!!!

Saw this place come into my Instagram feed and decided to give it a go . Best decision, it's a really beautiful space , with a bar and dining area . We had a wonderful bartender, and the food was amazing , we had their grilled cheese , buffalo wings, and their smash burger. Definitely a place to come back to.

I loved my expereince at Goldies Tavern - great place to watch a game, or get drinks before a MSG event. It is just a few blocks from the garden. Their food and service is consistent and I love their beer selections.

I always have the best time at Goldie's! Bobby and his staff were gracious hosts to our party of 14. He is great to work with and gave so many options when planning our event. His staff made us feel so welcome and the space itself is beautiful! We loved the spicy margaritas, tater tots, and donuts especially! I will definitely book another event here.

Fantastic vibes was able to watch all the football games I wanted to great service and solid food and of course amazing drinks. Habti is one of the owners and made our Sunday in NYC fantastic If you want to come watch football games and have a good time this is the place in NYC Manhattan.

This is a quintessential Yelp fraud here, catering to gullible tourists staying next door at the Courtyard. Terrible food and drinks and lousy service. They are clearly paying Yelp for their page rank and rating. Would avoid this place at all costs.

Just not sure why this is a 4.5 rated. Server very nice but I think he is the only server here. 50 minutes to get food restaurant only about half full. Food pretty good just don't go out of your way.

In the realm of culinary disappointments, this establishment sits atop the Iron Throne of incompetence. My patience, akin to the Long Night, endured an agonizing 60 minutes for a feast fit for a White Walker. Alas, the tater tot emerged from the abyss, a frostbitten relic of winter's grip. A feast of disappointment, where even dragons would lose their appetite.

such an amazing bar with amazing staff! gina & justin made my visit here one to remember. great drinks, awesome atmosphere, & a staff that makes this place magical! highly recommend & a must visit whenever you're in midtown.

Don't ever leave a review on this but walked in on a Monday (I get it on a dead day) and told to leave at 12:30am as bar was closed. Just came for pint as was staying in hotel next door. People at bar just didn't want random person in I guess. No problem just don't get it but don't have opening hours to 2am if you don't want people in.

Goldie's is my favorite spot for Happy Hour. It's proximity to MGS and Penn Station can't be beat. Plus, friendly staff, quick service, and good food. It's great for big groups because there is plenty of room to spread out -- including a beautiful long bar. Outdoor seating as well. Great spot!!

This was adjacent to the Mariott hotel where we were staying so it was convenient for a drink or light meal. The food menu is limited, but everyone was happy with what they ordered. The service was good and friendly.

Welp I feel kinda bad leaving this review because the bartender was so so nice... however; this is possibly; no I am certain, was the worst "steak frites" I have EVER had. Bland, salty, thin, over cooked, and criminally over priced for the measly maybe 6oz portion they dish out. The chimichurri is strait cilantro and did not sit in enough olive oil, garlic or pepper flakes. The seasoned fries while not terrible were NOT a good compliment to the "steak frites" as they completely over powered the bland sliver of meat. To the owner/manager; for the love of god take this off the menu or make it a helluva lot better. Also if you're going to serve a steak frites; have a better wine pairing to set it up with. Otherwise you're bound to get more reviews like mine. Note the picture was taken after the first bite and I already knew this was not going to be an enjoyable meal. But alas I hadn't eaten in 7 hours and I was very very hungry... and despite that my tastebuds were not happy with the need to just consume calorie

I have to say I was pretty skeptical at first when looking at the prices on the menu... BUT I got the steak Frites and it's was the best I have had bottom line. The atmosphere and staff were great. Also try to the Umami popcorn it's a good snack!

Excellent find food and drinks at NYC reasonable prices. I had the tuna with arugula and should have taken pictures. Cooked perfectly at medium rare, and salad was good size and really good as well. Ordered fries as well and was too much, although they were good.

This place was convenient, and quick! I had the seared tuna which was amazing!! Flavors were fantastic. The empanada apps were good. Even. H picky niece are them!

I was there the other day like two days ago it was the worse experience I ever had I ordered wings a burger and ribs for me and my husband and my food took over 2 hours to come out when I asked to speak to a manger he tried to ignore me while sitting at the bar drinking and was totally disrespectful I believe his name was Johnthen he's needs to b fired I understand u guys just open a few months ago but he needs to go because after the way I was treated I would never go to this place agin or recommend it to any one else totally unacceptable i only gave it a star because I had to

Wasnt sure what to expect given how new this place is but it hit the spot. Cool vibes with clean chic decor. Lots of tvs but not too "sports bar". Got the wings and the empanadas. Legit some of the best wings ive had. Crispy, sweet heat, in house ranch. Highly recommend.

We couldn't find the brewery we were looking for but happened upon Goldie's- much to our pleasure! We had great drinks and the umami popcorn snack hit the spot before dinner. The staff was chill, friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable too. Definitely recommend this establishment and hope to go back for a meal soon.

I stopped by Goldie's for a Swedish House Mafia Pregame at MSG. This is the perfect spot to go to before a night out. Amazing food, super friendly staff, and delicious cocktails. I HIGHLY recommend the MLT sandwich it was out of this world. I had to the opportunity to chat with one of the managers Celest and she was an absolute delight. 10/10 spot.

Went today and sat down while it was empty and watched the place fill up. Good music and good food. The bartender was warm and full of enthusiasm, the empanadas were delicious, and the overall space was kept very clean and tidy. Gonna try the fish fry next time.

I love this new bar in the area! Its my new go to bar after work. The staff is incredibly welcoming and fun. The bar is clean and really well presented - loving the 90s sports throw backs on the wall. The drinks are really delicious - lots of diff craft beers and a spicy margarita I enjoy often. The food is delicious - try their empanadas! They have a really great menu - you can go from tuna tartar to incredible hamburger. Great experience, thanks Goldie's Tavern!

A great new addition to the neighborhood! I am always looking for a great drink place pre game at Madison square garden or before i jump on the train. This is my favorite new spot. Loving the kale salad and fries! yum!
