"I’m pretty sure I haven’t shut up about Goldilox Bagels since a year before it even opened. (Through non-food-world connections, I got my hands on some sample bagels back in the day and quickly became obsessed.) The cheerful Medford bakery is an essential addition to the Boston area’s bagel scene — and one of only three or four local bagel purveyors I heartily recommend to people on a regular basis. "We’ve been obsessed with Goldilox Bagels since about a year before its late 2019 opening in Medford (although I’m embarrassed to admit I somehow missed the “lox” pun in the name until very recently). One of the owners and my husband cross paths in the Boston music world, which means I crossed paths with quite a few test bagels before the opening and fell in love. The Goldilox team has been refining its online ordering process each week and offering weekend pickup (curbside available) of bagels, cookies, lox, and spreads. I ordered last week, and yep, I’m going back for more tomorrow. The rosemary salt bagel is the best, but I’ll give an honorary mention to the everything, pictured above. "Around summer 2018, I got my first taste of some test bagels from the in-the-works Goldilox Bagels through some lucky friend-of-a-friend connections, and I fan-girled for them hard for the year leading up to the opening of the Goldilox storefront. Now the cheery little shop is open, and it’s bringing some serious bagel power to the Boston area’s somewhat lacking bagel scene.
