8 Argentine Restaurants to Celebrate the World Cup Victory
"This coffee shop sells BEC as well as Argentine-style sandwiches, yet the specialty is empanadas of the kind sold at small storefront bakeries all over Buenos Aires. Consult the glass case to the right of the counter to figure out what is available on any given day." - Robert Sietsema
This is such a great coffee shop in a wonderful location. The coffee we had was amazing, the pastries were made in house (we'll have to come back for the empanadas), and the music and vibes were very warm and welcoming. It's small but mighty, don't overlook this cute shop.

GoldStar is my personal favorite coffee and empanada shop in the Chelsea/Village area. Both the owner and the barista are really friendly and attentive. GS is a great choice for a quick snack or your morning commute!

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast special of a ham and egg croissant with real ham and a good cup of black coffee. Good food at a good price, served by friendly people.

Guy serving was super sweet, but as I was drinking my coffee, I found a dead bug in it. Disgusting. Bought an empanada, but was too grossed out to eat it.

Tiny little place with 3 small tables. Perfect for a casual cafe con leche in a welcoming atmosphere. Say hello to the owner, Roy and to Jess at the counter.

Yelp
Reasonably priced & good coffee. Got the vanilla iced latte and it was only $4.50 or so.
