Ox bone soup tastes great at this traditional Korean hot bone soup restaurant, but the service could be improved to enhance the overall dining experience. Update: 05-22-2025 After some time, I recently dined at this Korean restaurant and noticed a few changes in the service and the food quality. The spicy goat meat stew was served with a dipping sauce, which was flavorful and relatively healthy. It featured a generous portion of well-cooked goat meat. The ox bone soup with assorted meats was also enjoyable; it was simmered for an extended period, resulting in a rich flavor that improved further with a touch of salt and pepper. The prices were reasonable, and the service met my expectations. Although the atmosphere felt a bit dated, it was kept clean. I appreciated the large boiling ox bone soup pot visible through the glass window, which added an interesting touch to the dining experience.

Been going at least once a month since June 2023, only 10pm or later. Never had issues with our food, and never had issues with us being several white guys. Nice staff, but I wouldn't try to customize your food, and what you get is what you get. I've gotten the same dish two weeks in a row, one week it had snail in it, the next week it didn't. Good food, but don't be picky.

Google
I dont often rate 5 stars but this place has made my week by just this one meal. Food was out of this world. It's been so long since I've found a authentic place that not pretencious. I had a hot bone broth for breakfast and its warmed me up and prep me for the day. Note. Owner doesn't speak English well. If you want perfect American lv service you maybe little disappointed. If you want a taste of authentic Korea and delicious food come then there's no other place

20241120 My Korean friend recommended this restaurant. She was right. The food is delicious. I got the ox tail soup. It didn't come Salted, which is good. I got to put in the amount of salt I wanted. The broth has a real nice flavor, and the price was reasonably, $15.99 ... a little better than Biden/Kamala prices. I will come back again and try the other soup. There are so many menu items that I want to try. They open 24 hours, too!!

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. The seafood pancake was great and so was the Goat Soup. The service was quick and polite. Ambience is no frills but welcoming at the same time.

Google
Enlightening. Had not been in too long. Steamed beef tongue, stomach and intestine. And ribeye stewed in bone soup, #6 The freshness was mind opening, a whole extra beef dimension. Don't need to be hungry, it is a soul food. Request a dish of sesame oil to properly lubricate. I do appreciate the no nonsense staff. If you want to pronounce the name, the E standing alone is same as english letter name, and it receives emphasis.

Google
Very attentive and quick with our order. I always order the spicy seafood noodle soup and it’s never disappointing. This is one of my go to spots! One huge plus is this place opens 24/7!

Google
This is my go-to place for beef bone soup especially in the cold months. This place has been around for a while and their food is always good. They offer variety of other Korean soups and other menu. The radish kimchi and the soup can't go wrong.

Yelp
The food was simply amazing. Our crew of eight adults and five small kids feasted until we couldn't eat anymore. The bill was $296 post tip (18% was automatic. For $74 per family -- $37 per adult -- was very reasonably priced for the current market and the generous portions! We had the seafood + tofu hot pot, the big oxtail pot that served three, two small beef soups, a beef tongue + beef tendon box, a seafood pancake, fried dumplings, and a spicy stir fry of squid and pork. Every dish that I listed was a hit with the crew! Let me repeat that: EVERY DISH WAS A HIT! The restaurant is small and crowded. Due to the small spaces, any movement by the busboys and waiters intensified the claustrophobic feelings. I would heavily advise going here if your group is over 6 people (kids are included in the count). I would also advise going here if you care about the quality of service. As for me, I only care about the food. I'm a simple man. Did this restaurant provide amazing food at a decent price? Yes, 5/5.

Yelp
Stopped by this place after work for a family dinner and the place was not crowded. We got seated right away and we ordered our food pretty quickly. The seafood pancake was hot and it tasted okay with lots of seafood, that was my favorite part of this meal. We ordered some cold noodles and beef broth soup. This is the traditional beef broth soup so it is BLAND (note for those 1st timers trying korean traditional soup). They do have salt and pepper for you to seasoned yourself. The intestine, and beef tripe still have a strong smell to it. I didn't like it much because of the strong smell. The cold noodles was good. Large bowl and lots of pickled radish. Seasoned right too. At the end of the meal, my brother gave some cash to pay and as the lady walked back to the register, he was half way pulling out more cash for tips while waiting for change. The server came back to the table asking us so theres only $4 for tips and demanded more tips. We were telling her we are in the middle of pulling iut more cash to tips. She asked us several times why tips were only $4 and wouldn't leave until she see us put the extra money on the table. I think service could 100% be better! This was my first time here and would not come back here again eventhougj it was close to our house!

Yelp
The pork neck soup at Gom Tang E is another one of those unique tastes that you must experience to understand. I couldn't compare it to anything else and to give you a nice analogy to help you get it. You just have to try it if you haven't. I brought a few friends here just for that purpose. They were feeling iffy at first because it's a 24-hour restaurant. They were concerned the food may not be fresh. I was like, yo, trust me on this. I know my food. They had their first spoonful and their eyes lit up like eyyyyyyy, this is the shit. They be talking about who else to bring back here lol So now, this is their signature dish. I tried other stuff on their menu but nothing else clicked like the pork neck soup. The seafood pancake maybe my second favorite. This soup is constantly cooked in a giant pot (like a 4-foot diameter pot). The meat is so tender from this slow, constant cooking and the spices in this soup just make your soul feel good. Because it's on the giant pot for 24 hours, it comes out quickly too. Not to mention the staff works fast. With Korean staff, mostly Korean customers, and decor, it feels like you're in Korea. VERDICT: If you've never had pork neck soup at Gom Tang E, set a time to try it! I believe it's called "Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk" on the menu. Ask the waiter. They have a personal-sized bowl and a giant pot that feeds 4 people. GO!

Yelp
Awesome Korean soup stew shop. Great atmosphere, nice and small, attentive service, delicious food. Open 24 hours-perfect for that late night craving. Everything was on point and I will absolutely be a returning customer.

Sallie W.

Yelp
We got the Somuri gookbap, Seol Leong Tang, and Budae Jigae. The budae jigae was the best of the three soups. The stew is thick and had great flavor. There was pork slices, spam, and ramyeon. The somuri gookbap and seol leong tang didn't taste fresh. And the meats that came in those soups tasted VERY not fresh. The meat was also very tough. It's almost as though they've had these soups leftover for a long time and reheated it. Would not recommend these.

Jina Y.

Yelp
Good for late night eats if you are craving korean food in the middle of the night. Had adequate banchan / side dishes available and the serving portions were pretty good sized. We had to both take home portions of our soups. I got the pork neck stew which i thought was good and my dining partner got seolleungtang which was nicely executed as well. Would return if craving some solid comfort food for late night eats.

Sarah K.

Yelp
The food is traditional korean style. Waiters were working hard. Love that this place is opened 24 hours. Perfect place for a night cap! This is a classic spot for me and a lot of my friends, 10/10 recommend.

Julia S.

Yelp
Solid! I went in at 8am and was slightly worried that given this place is 24/7, it'd be more of a late night spot but I was happily mistaken. Within minutes several people other people came in. I ordered the gomtang and was so glad I did so. It reminded me of my childhood and the radish kimchi was absolutely on point. Prices were very reasonable as well! As I was paying I noticed the caldron of gignormous soup. Wow!

Ivy Z.

Yelp
I came here around midnight because lots of other spots in the area were already closed, and I was craving seollangtang. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The broth was just okay, and it didn't taste AMAZING or anything. I kept adding salt to make it taste better, but it just didn't hit. I've had better seollangtang at other spots in the area. My friend got the seafood soondubu and she also didn't like it that much. For our banchan, they gave us napa cabbage kimchi, soy sauce pickled peppers, and radish kimchi. For the kimchi, the texture was there. The texture was amazing and almost perfect. But the taste, not so much. It tasted like they just added Korean chili peppers and nothing else. It was probably the worst tasting kimchi I've ever had. However, the soy sauce pickled peppers were amazing. It was my favorite thing there. This spot is good if there's no other spots open after a late night out, but it's not the best place for if you're looking for some amazing beef bone soup. I thought Tosokchon in Annandale tasted better, (and they're also opened 24/7). Service was good though, and our server was very nice, but only came to take our order and bring out the food. Did not really check up on us after that, and we wanted more banchan but no one came :( I love the ambiance though, and love how they decorated their restaurant, from the outside to the inside. It is very cozy and reminds me of when I lived in Asia.

Shelbie C.

Yelp
I almost didn't go in bc it looks intimidating as there isn't a lot of English on the outside but I saw a sign for a lunch special with kimchi stew and I love that soup more than any other soup other than borscht and okroshka so I went in. Seems to draw a nice lunch crowd of folks who seem to be comfortable in the primarily non English environment. Luckily each menu item has a subtitle in fine print. This isn't your K-BBQ place. It's savory pancakes and soups with things like bossam with pork. I had a meeting so not a long time to peruse the menu but I can affirm the kimchi stew, while scalding boiling steaming hot, is super tasty. Broth is flavorful and right amount of salt. Decent amount of pork and tofu. Banchan were more fermented veggies. People behind me got some really cool menu with bossam and soup and a seafood pancake. Too much for one person but for a family of four yea so I am taking the kids here soon!

Yelp
The beef short ribs, seafood pancake and the pork in a box was soooo good! We keep coming back because of how good it was.

Yelp
Checked out this place after relaxing at Spa World that is basically next door. This place was quite busy and the tables were full. We were able to snag the last free table. There is a lot of options on the menu, so it was a little overwhelming to choose what we wanted. We ended up getting the Bossam Jongshik (small order of Bossam with the cabbage wrap and sides, with a bowl of rice and small bowl of rich beef bone broth), a small order of Jokbak (pigs feets) and Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk (pork neck bones soup). The portions were fair for the price. I really liked the bossam and the wraps were a good complement to the fattiness of the meat. The jokbal is sweeter than I was expecting, but the meat was tender. The pork neck soup had a different flavor than we were used to, so we didn't care too much for it. It was still warming on a chilly night. I can't forget the banchan! It was delicious and not too spicy. It went really well with the meats. Service was good. The lady took our order in a timely manner and our food came out hot. We asked for refill on the hot tea a couple of times, but were easily forgotten amidst the busy dinner rush. I ended up getting up to the front counter with our cups to get refills. Other than that, it was fine. There is ample parking in the lot, but if it is a busy night, you might have to just a little further away from the front door.

Boyu L.

Yelp
The soup tastes really good. Actually, I know it is good immediately when I saw the big pot in the kitchen. The steamed meat is a must try.

Grace K.

Yelp
OMGGGGG this restaurant was sooo goodddd!!! Enough said. The broth was super tasty. You could see the big pot of soup boiling behind the glass wall and how they make it. It's opened late so if you are craving soup late night, go here! Simple with lots of flavor

Sarah B.

Yelp
Amazing food open 24 hours a day! The service is always quick and it's a cute little place that feels like home vibes. Always a fun atmosphere. The food is amazing highly recommend we had the Haemul Pajeon 해물파전 (seafood pancake)and the Soon Du Bu 해물 순두부 (soft tofu soup). Amazing eats to try it out.

Helena K.

Yelp
Love it. The soup were amazing. It comes with rice and side dish. They even offer lunch specials with their delicious soup. Service was ok. The Korean lady was good. She brings us stuff we ask for like refill water or more kimchi. Other just not. Place is nice and neat. Definitely come back for more

Hokie H.

Yelp
We got the oxtail soup. Love that it's not salted and you can control your own seasoning. Some may not like this. This soup overall is a very filling soup. Add the bowl of rice to it and the meat it came with made it a very filling dish for lunch. We will definitely come back! We are making our rounds on as many Korean shops around town!

Sean K.

Yelp
For being 24hrs, gom tang e is a go to for late night eats or just if you're craving some hot spicy Korean food. The portions are good and the quality is definitely not bad. They have a pretty large menu of korean classic soups so it's easy to get what you're craving. I got the galbi jjim, which is braised beef short ribs and it was sweet and savory. Perfect after running around for a couple of hours. Their bossam is also pretty good being served with a steaming station, its hot and soft and filling. Would come again for sure.

Kat L.

Yelp
I really don't know why this place is so underrated. Their side dishes were solid, especially the kkakdugi. We ordered the with bindaetteok (mung bean pancake), bossam jungsik (it included a bowl of bone broth), & sul guk (pig's head soup). The bindaetteok was pricey but not skimpy. I knew that the process making bindaetteok could be very taxing so I was ok with the price. Bossam jungsik was a nice combo of bossam with its generous condiments (wraps, dips, garlic, etc) & a small bowl of bone broth. The whole plate of condiments made this dish tasted more authentic. The pork belly themselves were quite tender. Sul guk was fatty & flavorful. It's hard to get a really nice pork soup these days with the collagen and all that so thumbs up for this dish. The kkakdugi perfectly complemented the rich broth. Service was fast and courteous. When we came, there were many older Koreans who came to eat here. The TV played old Korean songs. It was quite an interesting ambiance but I didn't mind.

Olivia C.

Yelp
How can you go wrong with a 24 hour joint in this area? If I don't have to trek to Annandale for Korean food, even better! The menu is solid here. I usually like smaller menus but this place does soups so well! Their kimchi is the perfect accompaniment to any of the soups but my favorite soup here is the sul lung tang. The bone broth is thick enough, creamy enough, and after you add your sea salt flakes and scallions, it's a soup that just makes you feel better. If you're dining in, you'll see those middle aged golfers fresh off the green slurping down their soup and soju, people one dates, and little families passing around their dishes to share. The service is quick and efficient enough. This is a Korean joint so don't expect Michelin level of service but they'll get the job done. Ambiance is nice enough. Nothing too folksy but not too modern either; just right for this kind of place.

Christina V.

Yelp
Maybe the day I went the workers were just super stressed but there was such an unwelcome vibe when we entered and sat down. We ordered a soybean soup and it came out after awhile. We had two parties around us ask when their food would be coming. The table in front of us left after ordering their food because of the wait, but also one of the workers was pretty informal/rude with them saying "it's coming out now" (in korean) but in a not nice tone. We just paid and got our soup to go. The soup was honestly okay. I think it was just a bad day.

Virginia H.

Yelp
It's one of the few go-to spot for comfort food late at night. Not many places are open 24 hours and serves a variety of Korean soups and specialty dishes. I usually get my favorite Galbi Tang. But I did not expect the soup to be served with the meat on a large bone with a pair of scissors on the side. The server noticed I was confused so she cut the meat off the bone for me. I wouldn't have mind doing it myself, but it just caught me by surprise. Otherwise, the broth was good along with the side of Kimchi. It does get quite busy late at night because there is only one server. She was still attentive and I really appreciated her assistance with my food. It's worth trying if you want a bite to eat late night!

Mike S.

Yelp
I had an amazing spicy seafood noodle soup (jjampong) at this venue. The most delicious jjampong I've ever had!

A N.

Yelp
While the food isn't amazing, it's a decent meal at any time of the day and becomes great at 2 in the morning when everything else is closed. Standout items include mandugook, galbijjim, and galbitang. Avoid their bulgogi which is overpriced and likely only on the menu to fill a spot. Service is good if you're used to asian service.

Yu Bin L.

Yelp
this place is open 24 hours, so it's a popular spot for late night food. there's a variety of soups offered and i tried the Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk today. There are two pieces of bone-in pork in the soup so it's fun to pull off pieces while you eat it. Would recommend if you're craving a soup late night.

Samantha B.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience dining at this restaurant from the food giving me server stomach pains and acid reflux to the service like being forced to tip more than desired. They are lucky I even wanted to give a tip. She complained about the tip I provided when she couldn't even understand the questions I had when I arrived. I do not recommend this place.

TastyTummies R.

Yelp
Excellent service and the most delicious soon doo boo and ox tail soup! The cooks prepare the ox tail broth daily in a large pot and you can see how fresh it is. The waitress even offered us extra broth for when we packed to go. The ambiance is comforting and warm. We will be making this our new soup spot!

Annie H.

Yelp
The go-to spot for a late night munch after a concert or event!! Very convenient Korean food that's open 24 hours. Late nights are usually staffed by this one sweet Korean lady so remember that service is going to be a lil slower than a spot with more help. Regardless, Gom Tang E offers a solid variety of Korean rice, noodle, and meat dishes that absolutely satisfy the cravings. Get the bossam (Korean boiled pork wrap) or the budae jeongol.

Mike T.

Yelp
24hour Korean Soup spot is awesome. The ox tail soup is a game changer here. Sides could be better, but overall happy .

Chathu K.

Yelp
Good Korean food joint! Tried few different dishes and great spot for late night food!

Nichakorn C.

Yelp
This place is one of the reasons why I'm still living in Virginia. I love this place. I love Soondea guk. I can't live without it.l . Service is sometime good sometimes bad depending on their mood but I don't care. I come here for food.

Crystal W.

Yelp
If I could, I would give them 0 stars. My younger sister and her 4 friends (seniors in high school) went here for dinner. They asked for 4 ice waters and 1 hot water. They all received hot water so, they asked for ice water again and the server told them that it's too much if everyone has 2 waters and so only gave them 2 ice waters. Then when they were getting ready to pay, the server applied an automatic gratuity of 18%. They all paid separately, there were only 5 people in total, and they all were charged an automatic gratuity of 18%. What a scam. The service was shit and they had to pay gratuity. The server definitely looked down on them because they were young and definitely applied the automatic gratuity because the server thought "oh they ain't gonna tip a lot cause they're young".

Trina P.

Yelp
creamy broth so good rich and hearty . My go to soup spot. The server was super nice

Lindsay K.

Yelp
HITS EVERY SINGLE TIME ONG seolleongtang is always good and their kimchi and kkakdugi is always my fav. We tried their soondae for the first time and it's really good, way better than expected. It tastes different from any other soondae I've had before with large slices of garlic and bean sprouts. I'm so glad they have the saewoojut sauce and not just salt. It was really oily for some reason thought but I didn't notice until we were almost done and the oil had coagulated My favorite restaurant atm

Jisoo B.

Yelp
This was a real 3.5 effort but I'm rounding up to a 4. The seafood pancakes I ordered on a whim saved this review. I've had Sullungtang at a different Gomn Tang E branch, so I am sorry I have to say this particular branch didn't live up to my set expectations. It wasn't as piping hot, it packed flavor of the bone broth soup and didn't have enough meat.. it was lackluster performance from a Diva I expected to belt out the flavors. However, like I said above, the seafood pancakes were delicious. It was thick and contained the most amount of seafood possible in the battered dough! It was a seafood Korean pizza. I also loved their true country style kimchi -- radish kind and the cabbage. Especially the radish was well fermented and went well with the soup, even though soup lacked flavor. The service was pretty quick and decent too even though it was just one lady.

Mary K.

Yelp
We had a family gathering of 10, and the service and food were excellent. I honestly don't know what some of the negative reviewers were complaining about. We ordered everything from soups (seolleong tang, kkori seolleong tang, yuk gae jang) and marinated meats (beef bulgogi, spicy pork), to the dumplings and steamed pork belly (bossam). Everything was brought out in a timely manner and was delicious, particularly the soups, beef bulgogi, and bossam (generous portions and super tender - perfect when properly eaten as a wrap with the provided cabbage, condiments, and fillings). The side dishes were good, too, with the radish kimchi being my favorite. My only minor complaint is that the size of the cabbage leaves for the bossam was slightly on the small side, but I was still happy to eat them all, and when I asked for more, they brought it out without much delay. The staff did a wonderful job accommodating our large party and all of our different requests. They were professional, helpful, and kind the entire time. Very impressed that they're able to keep up this level of service as a 24/7 restaurant. I definitely plan on going back. I had a great first experience here. Parking: The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, so there's a general, open parking lot - we had no issues finding parking.

Lisa L.

Yelp
You don't come to Gom Tang E for the service- you come for the food. The aunties are nice but they also don't like bullshit and won't give you the time of day if you're an entitled little siz so be warned. The food varies from soups, noodles, pancakes, bossam, and more. Food is always accompanied by a serving of tradition kimchi and radish kimchi. I've had the pork hangover soup (#15), seafood pancake, and spicy soup (#8) on two separate occasions. The pancake was full of protein and was warm and crispy. The soups were full of flavor and meat. My husband and friend had the ox bone soup on one occasion and the soup was blan but there's salt and pepper on the side so that you can season it to your liking. I feel like this is as authentic as it gets. I live in Arlington and I go out of my way to get a soup of soup from this place. OH- and they're 24 hours. Got a midnight soup craving? This is your place!

Anne Y.

Yelp
MY FAV SEOLUNGTANG (BEEF BONE BROTH SOUP) PLACE!! My parents took me all the time when I was little and the taste is so nostalgic. It comes out fast, tastes good, and you know it will when they have the giant pot of broth boiling all day. It's also open 24/7 so you can go anytime!

VyVy V.

Yelp
April 2022 - COVID Review: I've been hearing such good things about this place for years and I just recently had a chance to finally visit. The concept of a 24 hour Korean restaurant is awesome! Their menu was so expansive that my friends and I were having a hard time deciding what to order. I've heard that they're known for their ox tail soup, but that it can also be a little bland for non-Koreans. My husband ordered it and I was able to try some so I do agree, but they do have extra seasoning at the table so that you can adjust it to your liking. I would definitely go back again to be able to try more from their menu!

Ha S.

Yelp
My dad and a couple of other people from my church ate here this past weekend, and became severely ill with food poisoning. My dad has been bedridden for days, is vomiting profusely and is experiencing dizziness which is unnatural for him. Just wanted to alert others to be careful.

Sabrina K.

Yelp
No more lunch prices so just straight dinner price. Service: good, but it was also not busy Food: I got the traditional ox bonesoup (milky white color soup made from boiling an ox bone for like ever, also called seoulleongtang or gom tang) Loved the soup, just FYI for those complaining of it being bland- it is always served without any seasoning. You put the coarse salt in the soup yourself (about one spoon of it will do) which is located in this small brown round salt container in each table. Husband got the ggorijjim or a stew of tail meat which kind of is like galbi. It comes with the meat, some vegetables like carrot, clear noodles (like japchae noodle) and some rice cakes are thrown in there. He loved it (Altho it was quite expensive for not too much meat) Side dishes are def lacking here, you really only get kimchi and various fermented dishes. I did not love the radish kimchi, it was wayyyyy too fermented/borderline inedible. (Still ate it tho, probably has more good bacteria tbh) I like their regular kimchi, it's very spicy (lots lots of red pepper flakes, so much that you can't even see the cabbage) Honestly their ox bone soup is one of the best ones I've had- it's very savory, flavorful, just a great pick me up in the winter. You will not regret it.

James K.

Yelp
This isn't a fancy place; you come here for comfort food. You will not get top notch service. Food always comes out relatively quickly and always hot. It's a no frills, no nonsense hole in the wall Korean food soup joint.

Sean P.

Yelp
Worth it? Yes Repeat? Yes It's open 24 hours and has hot soup. If it's 3am and you are hankering for some good comfort food, this place will be 6 out of 5 stars even with the one person serving the whole dang restaurant. The bone broth, kimchi, and radish kimchi is what they are known for. See big ol pot of stew going on. **There is salt and pepper in the pot containers at your table** don't be the dummy that complains the bone broth soup is too bland. It comes that way and you flavor it yourself ( and dip some kimchi in the mix if you want) +Galbi Tang is solid choice -Bossam was pretty disappointing at $28. Way too porky and meat was stringy

Demy N.

Yelp
This is the first time I write review. Service is sooooooo bad. Even after eating, we still gave 10% tips (tips and check are both cash) Then one old Korean lady came to us and said should be 15%. Do you deserve that? Okay. I left another $10 for them for you f-ck shit. The funnest way is that when we were about to leave, another Korean lady gave me furious eye contact with me. You deserve to be banned.

Dav C.

Yelp
Lol. Don't get their ttukbaegi galbijjim. I don't even know why I ordered that. I usually get the safe stuff like suleongtang but decided to give it a try. The galbijjim is everything wrong - flavor, texture, even the look of it... looks and tastes like it got old 2 weeks ago. I hate to be mean but I really don't want anyone wasting their time getting items outside of the long stewed stews lol.

Yelp
We came here per recommendation of a friend who raves about their goat stew, which lived up to our expectation! Very tender meat but still retains just enough chewiness. Doesn't have super strong goat smell so it's a plus. Their beef bone milky soup is honestly just okay. I've had similar quality at other restaurants. We sat right in front of the giant pot of soup so we could see all the activities. They filled in water to make the pot full but 15 mins later they scooped some soup out into a home depot bucket, and they used plastic scoop. Hello BPA??? We also ordered their beef tendon salad which costs around 25 dollars but came with like 5 pieces of tendon. And the sauce is too heavy! All in all probably would not come back.

Yelp
It must be just like this in an old neighbornood in S. Korea- steaming hot yummy comfort food, large TV with funny shows, Korean elders greeting one another, trendy youths comparing fashion, and typical Asian service staff! Best banchan here with fresh napa kimchi, it tastes sweet, compared to other places with aged napa kimchi. We have our favorites: Ttukbaegi galbi jjim and dogani seolleongtang. And it looks like this is the only place in Centreville with dogani tang.

Yelp
Gomtange is the perfect soup place for those times you want a really hearty, comforting Korean broth. It's one of those places where you could walk in at night and immediately have no idea what time it is, enticing you into lingering longer with friends than you had planned. Tbh I've come here at 7 am after early morning prayer, 2 pm for a random budaejjigae, and 11 pm after a long day of studying for the LSAT. Wonderful, versatile spot.

Yelp
I got the ox bone broth soup. It was delicious and so flavorful! The side dishes were good too. Awesome 24/7 spot for a late night meal after landing in town super late.

Yelp
Authentic Korean flavors for any time of day. The menu isn't very descriptive of each item, so I tried a classic dish: silken tofu soup. I live with no regrets- soondubu was an amazing choice! Although filled with onions/zucchini/mixed seafood/tofu, the broth alone shined with its balance of savory and salt. There are salt & pepper jars available at the table to adjust to your tastes, but I never needed them. Other sides: rice and pickled radish/peppers/kimchi. Would definitely return and try spicier offers!
