"It’s a scientific fact that there are fewer degrees of separation between any type of cuisine and a burrito in California than anywhere else in the world — it’s where Sushirrito was born, after all. And when Gondo Fusion is already serving up Cuban pulled pork, savory yellow rice, stewed black beans, and sweet plantain with that nice caramelized crisp at the edges, why not stuff those delicacies into a flour tortilla? But for those inclined toward tacos, this roving food truck offers them street- and Gondo-style, the latter coming loaded with mango pico de gallo, cabbage, aioli, salty cheese, and fiery chile de arbol sauce. Known to post up at UC Davis and farmers markets in the morning, its breakfast burritos and matcha horchata are also mandatory to get the day started." - Tamerra Griffin

I was looking for something to eat & had hoped the Gondo Fusion staff were still available to help. They were open. I just needed a side to go with the lunch I brought to work that day. The folks were very friendly and welcoming. I was excited to see zucchini fries on the menu and they were perfect. I had a nice lunch and will come back another day for some yummy food and to try some items from the main menu.

Stellar breakfast burrito matched only by the horchata! Definitely recommend the plantains.

I finally had a chance to stop by this place and I'm glad I did. I got a breakfast burrito with plantains. It was a good sized burrito for the price. The plantains added a nice sweetness to the eggs, beans, and potatoes. I washed it down with a cuban horchata latte. The horchata worked well with the coffee. The online ordering was perfect and my burrito was exactly as ordered. My order was ready in time and person who greeted me was very nice. I'm looking forward to trying something else my next visit.

Update! This food truck never disappoints! Got the Havana sandwich! And omg it's perfection! I'm not a big mustard fan but it goes so well in the Havana! The Horchata was made to perfection, best of all its dairy free so go wild! And omg the Churro cheesecake is amazing!!! I missed out on the food bc I was on a time crunch but don't skip out on their foods! The Havana is delicious!!

This is one of the staples of the midtown farmer's market food alley, and I have eaten here a few times and never really loved it. They have a sign right in front of the truck, and that plate of food looks hecka good! I wonder where they found that photo??? LOL! We decided to split the breakfast burrito and I nearly fell on the ground when they charged us $14 for a burrito! Way too expensive for me, and even worse, it was basically a sour cream burrito. The chorizo was barely noticeable, and if it was there, I couldn't tell. It had lots of black beans and the sour cream was just way overpowering and made the entire burrito ice cold and just not appetizing at all. The spiciness is on point though. I will give them that. Unfortunately, there were some issues on this visit and I won't get into it.Super irritating experiences like this have me wondering why we spend $14 at food trucks! There are so many options at the food alley that I will just find another small business to support. It's a shame because I wanted to love this truck, but sadly, they fall really short when it comes to execution and the overall value for your buck just isn't there. Darn.

I loved Purple Pig and they were a tough act to follow (RIP - Rest in Purple). Gondo Fusion has followed indeed with a killer menu. My hats off to them. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. That chorizo is not that gnarly stuff that melts into a puddle of fat/grease. It was legit, chunky goodness. Spicy, nice portion, good ratio of ingredients...this was hella good my dudes. There's a bunch of construction to get through to the building right now, but doable. Give them a shot.

My Havana sandwich was SO tasty! I’m glad we decided to stop at this food truck at Wednesdays at Winn (Albert Winn Park) in Sacramento. My companion got a burrito and was super pleased with theirs as well.

To be fair I tried Gondo Fusion at the Fair Oaks Farmers Market. I can’t really comment on the atmosphere of the place but I would assume it is warm and welcoming just like their food truck 🥰 I am newly vegetarian and got the SacTown Bowl vegetarian Cuban style and OMG it’s so freaking amazing. Wowwww. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
