Google
I really like this drink. They make it very quickly.

E T.

Google
The drinks were okay. I ordered mine 25% sweet, but it was still too sweet for me. There a plenty of other tea places that I would prefer.

Google
my fav boba shop ever ˶‘ ᵕ ‘˶ i got the matcha tea latte~~ it was really sweet and delicious! the staff are super friendly and were really helpful with helping me out the rewards system they have! thank you gongcha! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

Sarah S.

Google
There isn't that many boba or drink places here so decided to try Gong Cha since I never tried it before. I ordered the Marble Matcha latte medium size (6.25), half ice and sugar. They weren't that busy so no line to order. They have self ordering kiosks but you can also order at the register. The drinks were ready quite fast and tasted pretty good. The matcha is very authentic and not too bitter. It is just like a normal matcha latte. 4/5

Google
the taro boba was delicious. it's getting harder to find places that don't make it too sweet. this place is great. they even have a sweet factor where you may request different sweetness (from 0% to 100%) the recommended is 50% which worked for me. despite being busy, I got my drink fast! great employees keep up the good work :)

Google
Located at The Source OC inside the food court. Plenty of parking space. Blessed to enjoy cold drink indoors on a hot day. Wish smoothies were also available in large size. Cash only today. Not spectacular but good taste. Definitely worth a try.

Google
The first time was a good experience, today was not so good. The girl who did my drink was a sloppy and lazy, very unsanitary. She didn't clean the mixer, 4 drinks ans she was using the same stuff for all 4 so gross. I came home and saw white stuff in my brown sugar milk tea. Hell nah!!! My brown sugar milk tea should be brown, there shouldn't be anything white in it. If I ever decide to go back, I'm saying something if they don't wash the mixer, but most likely I'm going elsewhere. BTW every time I go I always spend 40+ on drinks. Yup, they just lost a good customer.

Emily A.

Google
We went there on a Saturday afternoon because it gets serious time on an IG account I follow. We had the snow cap winter melon tea. Friendly service and location had a lot of people working on laptops.

Yelp
I feel obliged to write a review bc currently this is my favorite place to get milk tea & I'm picky with my milk tea :) I love their honey oolong milk tea, & honey green milk tea! My only improvement suggestions are that 25% sweet is still really sweet, & the tea flavors could be stronger.
google avatar

Jovete E.

Yelp
I usually like Gong Cha, but not this time. I made the mistake in ordering the biscoff milk tea. Not good.
google avatar

Tyler G.

Yelp
The drinks here are great! I got a peach oolong tea with star jelly and boba, and my friend got a grapefruit green tea with star jelly. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly sweet, and tasty. You can also buy the cutest keychains, they have a bunny, duck, or bear. The employee, Raymond, was super kind and helpful. There was no wait and the drinks came out fast. My go to boba spot at The Source for sure :)
google avatar

Carlo G.

Yelp
Decent boba shop option at the Source. I got the strawberry milk tea with mini boba pearls and it was okay. The pearls were at a good texture and didn't clump which I liked. However, the strawberry tea itself was very artificial tasting to the point where it tasted like chemicals. I did enjoy the strawberry chunks though. The tea was around $7 for a small size, so it was on the pricier side. Their menu is pretty extensive, but ordering was easy on the touch screen pad. You can also add your phone # and they'll notify you when your order is ready.

Yelp
Gong cha is a chain boba place, they have made their name in the OC and LA locations and they have just made entrance to a new location in Buena Park. It is located at the 3rd floor of the source. As you enter the double automatic doors, you will see Gong Cha conveniently located right by all the dessert spots. There is a counter where you place your order - I love how you can select the % for ice and sugar levels as well. The atmosphere of the place is simple - order from the kiosk with your name and wait for your name to be called. You can also add the additional toppings you want. I ended up getting 2 x Pearl milk tea, and they ran out of honey boba.. what? The friendly server suggested the white boba which is actually a great replacement! There are unique colorful tables and chairs around just a stone throw away while you wait for your order. The wait time was about 15 mins, also because they were doing a buy one get one free offer for the top 5 drinks on 1/2 and 1/3. My Pearl milk turned out to be not sweet enough and the white boba balls were surprisingly amazing! I must say, Ding Tea on the first floor is almost always packed with a much longer wait. If you're thirsty and looking for a boba drink, Gong Cha is definitely a solid choice on the 3rd floor of the source!

Yelp
** Located on the 3rd floor of The Source ** This Gong Cha is located on the third floor and inside the automatic doors of the food court. There are plenty of seating inside (chairs make an awful screeching noise). There are two available kiosks to place orders on. I ordered the Matcha smoothie and Strawberry mascarpone cheesecake smoothie. They were sweet and delicious. The one thing I can't stand are those paper straws! The side where we use to poke a hole can be flimsy if we have bad luck.

Yelp
Never been here before but so happy we did, Gong Cha they sell boba drinks and many more, they also have coffee and you can choose the amount of sweetness you want, a lot of different drinks to choose from. You walk up and you order on a small tablet where you can pick and customize your drinks. They do have employee's making the drinks they were all friendly and nice. My family met here for lunch, had family visiting from Arkansas so spent the day just hanging out and talking and eating it was a really beautiful time together. Even though I was not feeling that well I had to see them since they weren't going to be here long. Having a treat after lunch sounded wonderful. Baby girl got the strawberry blended smoothie, my niece got the boba drink, our aunt got a coffee and I got the marbled strawberry drink which was delicious! All of our drinks were so refreshing, I would come here again I recommend to try this place. It was sort of busy and I believe they only have one tablet to take orders, but still got our order pretty quickly. My first time here, my niece has come here before and really liked it so I'm happy I got to try it too. Can't wait to try something else next time. Thank you for our pretty and delicious drinks and friendly easy service. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Yelp
This was my first time trying Gong Cha so I went extra and ordered the seasonal Gingerbread bottle. It was so cute and I luckily snagged the last one! I ordered a Thai Tea with 50% sweetness and it was so good. The boba was really soft too. If you're at The Source and craving some boba you should try this place. They have many options and it was pretty quick even though they were busy.

Yelp
Located on the 3rd floor, it sits in the middle of the food court at The Source, parking is plenty available in the parking structure (free parking). We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was not too crowded. We purchased our drink from a cashier kiosk machine. Drinks came out about 5 minutes after purchase. My favorite go-to drink when i visit Gong Cha is the QQ Passion Fruit Tea (contains boba and lychee jelly). However, this time when ordering, 50% sugar and 100% ice, my drink came out, like 100% sugar and 50% ice. The drink was too sweet for my liking and the ice look like they were close to being all melted away. By the time the ice all melted, the drink was still very sweet and boba had lost the chewiness.
google avatar

Tania T.

Yelp
This Gong Cha is inside the Source's 3rd floor food court. There are 2 food courts here just FYI. There's also some promotion happening buy 1 get 1 drink, but it's for very specific drinks. The staff here is very busy and they do not greet their customers (too busy making those drinks). There are 2 self serve kiosks up front, though I suppose you could also make your order with the cashier if you happen to see them there. Everyone who was working was moving around trying to keep up with the drink orders when we came by. So we ordered our black tea and matcha drink on the kiosk. The drink took about 5 minutes and then I got a text that the drink was ready for pick up. The drink is very customizable. You can choose your sweet and ice level. Both drinks were good. I prefer the tea to accompany my meal and the matcha to drink as we stroll around the Source Mall.

Yelp
Gong Cha is the late night spot at The Source in newly named Koreatown in Buena Park -- open until 10PM! With their lightly sweetened drinks hitting just right, ensure to stop by Gong Cha to use their self-order kiosks to satisfy your anti-social tendencies. The staff is never seen, but the drinks come out promptly. Nestled in the third floor of the complex, within the Food Court.
google avatar

Nick P.

Yelp
Service is great but very pricey and mediocre. Drinks tasted watered down and the boba lacked any chewiness. It cost us almost $15 for two large drinks. That's insane!
google avatar

Rylee C.

Yelp
I was at this mall with some friends and came across this place. We all ordered very different things and everyone liked what they got! Some of us agreed that some of the drinks were on the sweeter side so I'd probably get it less sweet next time but I'd still definitely come back!
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
Couldn't leave the Source food court without getting Gong Cha. I really like their tea since it has more tea flavor in it. Right now they are having a buy one get one on five of their drinks. I ordered their passionfruit green tea with coconut jelly and also their brown sugar, milk tea. I like ordering on the kiosk because I can customize everything to my liking. The drinks came out quickly and tasted really good. Definitely try to get there so you can get their Bogo promotion, it's worth it!
google avatar

Cody P.

Yelp
The gingerbread men bottles are so cute! But I thought the tea was kinda bad. I got the taro milk tea, and it was watery. The boba was a little old and had a springy texture. I literally only wanted the bottle haha. Service was fine.
google avatar

Lucy Y.

Yelp
Man gongcha is so expensive now. I paid 8 bucks for a mango smoothie and it was so small. It was pretty good for a boba but not nearly worth 8 bucks.
google avatar

Andy V.

Yelp
1. The drink tasted delicious, and it had a nice creamy texture! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes as it is located in the food court of an outdoor shopping center! 3. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings nearby! 4. There are two self-order kiosks in front! 5. Parking Garage is attached to shopping center! Note: The restrooms are located at the corner nearby! Photo: Strawberry Marble

Yelp
I've come to this Gongcha multiple times, and while its teas aren't particularly standout, you can't go wrong with getting a drink here. I like that they have basil seeds as an option for add-ins, and they're pretty fast whether you order in person or on the machine. I will have to say it can be a little confusing because there are no signs that make it clear you can order from either the machines or from the cashier, so sometimes the lines can get a little long.
google avatar

Selene S.

Yelp
Located on the 3rd floor inside the Food Grub. Service was quick and there were two kiosks to order from. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, very spacious. We got the regular size of the Marble Matcha ($6.25). It has puff cream in the side but it doesn't really affect the taste of the drink. The matcha taste is pretty strong that you can taste the hint of bitterness. At half sugar and half ice, it was just right. They made the drink pretty quickly. Straws are environmentally friendly but only come in the thick size.
google avatar

Jhanelle B.

Yelp
I got the green milk tea which was absolutely delicious and my boyfriend, got the brown sugar, milk, tea with Boba. They fill your cup with plenty of Boba which is nice. His drink is extremely sweet. If you really like sweet stuff I highly recommend this one. The green milk tea was pretty good. nothing like I ever tasted, but it was really good. The stuff worked very fast and I like the system they have where they text you when it's ready and you order on screens. Will return! Great job guys

Yelp
Came here specifically for my birthday reward but was bummed to find that they are transitioning their 5 Stars reward system to something else or something that I couldn't redeem it...at first. Gong Cha delivers consistent drinks that are pretty standard to me, but not bad. I usually choose less sweet because the drinks are a bit too sweet for me. Service is pretty quick but I wanted to leave a review for their customer service. They were able to help me out with my disappointment and for that reason, I would be back!
google avatar

Andy T.

Yelp
Spent a Saturday at the Source and I wanted to get something refreshing to drink. I got a medium size Mango Yogurt with regular sweetness and normal ice with boba. There were a few kiosks available for ordering. Despite being busy at around 4:30 pm, the drink was ready in about 3 minutes. The drink was definitely very sweet, but was good. However, I'd adjust the sugar level to 30% if I try this again.

Yelp
Tuesday, blues day, or maybe an off day. Safe to say "The Source" during the week is slooooow! So wouldn't you maximize profits by minimizing the number of employees you have working behind the counter? Or at least have the courtesy of greeting your customers when you have very little customers in the first place? Here's the problem with ordering through a screen, no service, no hello, no establishing rapport for a loyal customer database, and bigger tips. Instead you create a gathering hole of employees choosing to converse with each other in the corner of an open counter, that takes a glance every now and then to see if you placed your order. No, "let me know if you have any questions", or "is there something we can help you with?" And finally, a simple "hi, welcome." Oolong tea was decent, only because the sweetness level was over powering and I could only taste a small amount of the tea... even at 50% (recommended) sweetness level. Boba pearls, and the peach pearls tasted old. So maybe, just maybe, the timing and day was off. Safe to say that 4:30 on a Tuesday is DEFINITELY not the right day to come here. THAT is the only TIP I would give for this place.
google avatar

Emerald Y.

Yelp
I was walking around the source and wanted some tea so I decided to check gong cha out. I ordered the oolong milk tea with agar boba w/ less sugar and it came out so quickly. However, the tea wasn't that great and very veryyy sweet. It was a bit pricey too (about $8 for a small drink).
google avatar

Jinyoung J.

Yelp
The picture of the strawberry matcha is so deceiving, but the cashier was so friendly and the customer service is definitely more accommodating, compared to other spots. I'm sad I don't get to try Gong Cha more often because I have loved getting my matcha smoothies here for the past few years! I tried TBaar last time because there was a bit of a line, but Gong Cha still feels like the best boba café here in the Source, even though I do also find Ding Tea to be one of the better boba shops. The drink itself has a grainy consistency (which I surprisingly like), and I'm pretty sure my drink was shaken because there's no color gradient. But, that can be forgiven because the flavors are intact. I was told that they are using a non-dairy creamer, but I prefer having the option to substitute cow's milk with oat and/or coconut milk. The food courts have been updated over time, but Gong Cha is still here, and I hope it stays! It is relatively calm and quiet (except for a screaming baby). FYI: There are still signs posted, requiring face masks. Also, no pets inside the court. (^: Side note: Don't over-customize your drinks! ^^ I'm not too concerned about sugar/ice-levels, but more about how it ends up tasting, so best not to be too fussy about such particulars...
google avatar

Mimi V.

Yelp
It's a cute tea shop located inside the Source mall. You can order at the kiosk and customize your own drinks. The order came up very quickly and delicious. We definitely come back to try the other flavors.
google avatar

Jecy L.

Yelp
Love the drinks here! Service is really quick and friendly. My favorite are the yakult drinks.
google avatar

Mylinda T.

Yelp
Joseph is super friendly and always makes my visit extremely pleasant! He has great customer service and always has a smile on his face! The drinks are always consistent and amazing!
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
I ordered on 4 drinks on Valetines Day, for the keychains. The lady working was super rude and giving me attitude, She made us wait in the parking lot, and she forgot our keychains, so she said she would grab it, she had us waiting for 30 minutes and she never came so we never got our keychains. She even got our drinks wrong. Do not come here unless you want the employees giving you attitude and being rude.
google avatar

Jenn H.

Yelp
The customer service here was impeccable! I ordered a peach smoothie and it didn't come out as sweet as I wanted it. The girl who helped me was willing to fix the situation for me and was kind about it the whole time. It was a busy Saturday too but she still took the time to make my drink perfect. Thank you!
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Good treat for people walking around the source and not looking for a full meal. Drinks can be on the sweeter side and they're pretty busy so it takes a while to get it after ordering. We waited around 15 minutes and wanted to find a seat but it's super crowded in the food court. We got the strawberry milk tea (some sort of strawberry jam plus milk tea) and the regular classic boba milk tea.
google avatar

Esther K.

Yelp
Let's you customize the sugar and ice level and doesn't have that powdery taste if you order milk tea. They have some seasonal flavors but check the top drinks on their menu for the go to. Overall a solid boba place you can find inside the source food court and other locations.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Came here on a whim but the boba itself is hard but the flavor of the tea is decent... service was good and fast

Ricky L.

Yelp
So good. The boba is so well made! The service is good, too. The vibe is so chill. The flavors are very awesome too
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
Great service answering questions from someone who hasn't had boba in over 15 years! Milk tea and cofeee tea boba were delicious and able to introduce my kids to this as well!
google avatar

Christina Y.

Yelp
I've been to several Gong Cha locations, so it's not a surprise that this location is consistent with the others. Gong Cha's boba and tea selections are, of course, wide and varied. My go-to choice is usually their pearl milk tea or brown sugar milk tea. The Buena Park location offers a lot of seating and if you're hungry for food, there are other eateries available inside the plaza's food court. No wonder this location is very convenient. :)
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
Love the drinks here!!! fast and friendly customer service :) located in the source mall!
google avatar

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
Got their new drink called the Thailand Mango Milk Tea. It was pretty good and I was skeptical of the passion fruit kelly but it was actually a really nice addition. They don't take too long with making our drinks but they didn't call it out so we kind of just have to look out for the drinks they push out or wait for the text. The problem with the text though is I got it almost 5 minutes after my drink was already down. Also since it is a self ordering place and because it's located in such an open space there wasn't really a line or waiting area so we were all just scattered everywhere which isn't the biggest issue ever but it just got confusing on who was ordering and who was waiting.
google avatar

Annie N.

Yelp
I've been to many Gong Cha locations but this is probably my least favorite. They gave me such a sad amount of boba. Basically only 1-2 rows of boba which is a crime! 50% sweetness is recommended but still on the sweeter side for me. Lines are always long here and it does not move fast. Probably took 20-30 minutes to grab my drink on a Friday night. I still love Gong Cha... just not at this location.
google avatar

Shelby B.

Yelp
Gong Cha's brown sugar milk tea with boba always hits the spot after a big meal. Ordering at this location is via an electronic kiosk and was easy to use, and service was fairly quick for a busy night. Just get the large because their regular size is quite tiny!
google avatar

Sandy V.

Yelp
Usually get their Strawberry Milk Tea, but decided to try the Strawberry Smoothie with Almond Jelly. Unique drink that's just sweet enough. Tasted mostly like almond jelly. Would've liked more smoothie. Would still recommend trying. Gong Cha is the only reason I come to The Source.
google avatar

Cleon D.

Yelp
This gong cha is a little bit difficult to locate, but it is on the 4th floor from the garage and on the top 3rd floor of the source. It is in the food court called the Grub! (There's 2 food courts at the source). I came here at night for some dessert and Gong Cha did not disappoint! Shout out to the 2 workers holding down the fort around 8pm on a Tuesday, they were really patient and friendly. I got the black/panda milk tea with milk foam. It was on the sweeter side compared to other milk tea stores, so I'd recommend 75% sweetness if you don't have a sweet tooth like me. I loved how their black tea had a strong and distinguishable taste, which was well complemented with milk and sugar! The Milk Foam was creamy and smooth as well if you're looking for a sweet add-on other than boba. P.S. All their teas with the exception of the Thai and Milk Foam are dairy-free! The milk foam is made with a special powder, milk, butter, and heavy cream.
google avatar

Vivian D.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Gong Cha and this obviously didn't disappoint! I got the Earl Gray Milk Tea, just make sure to get it less sweet since most of their drinks tend to be on the sweeter side. It is located on the Grub food court floor! They also have eco-friendly straws! Always a plus whenever you can save the sea turtles! The girl who helped us was really sweet and h helped me chose my drink! Thankfully she recommended me to get it a little bit less sweet too! So props to her! Would love to go here again on another late night adventure for milk tea

Nicole W.

Yelp
We did not order any food items, but just the Boba and Tea drinks. The service was good and quick. The ambiance is a boba tea and waffle desserts place.
google avatar

Travis P.

Yelp
This is located in the food court on the top floor of the source. We came on a Saturday at 6 pm and had to wait about 30 minutes to order and get our drink. Order ahead if you plan to go during that time! We got our goto drink, lemon juice with aiyu jelly and glass boba at 50 percent sugar/ice. This location or at least our drink was a tad on the sweeter side so I recommend 25 percent or 0 percent if you don't want it too sweet. We ended up adding some water to dilute the sweetness. Overall pretty good.
google avatar

Marlo Y.

Yelp
I don't normally come to Gong Cha anymore because it's not my favorite boba place, but I had a fantastic customer service interaction with John, one of the leads there. I got a promo email from FiveStars about a BOGO free grape series so decided to go there. However, when I I got there, they said they couldn't honor because it wasn't in their system. I was annoyed because this was the 2nd time this happened with a promo. The email said applied to all California locations, so why didn't they have it in their system? Luckily, John contacted his manager and he got the go ahead to honor the promo anyway. That meant a lot to me especially after having this happen twice.
google avatar

Caroline P.

Yelp
First time stopping in at this place. I got my daughter a panda milk tea and passion fruit tea for myself. The cashier was friendly and efficient. Everyone was covid social distance compliant. The panda milk tea was lightly sugared and my daughter greatly enjoyed it. The boba was nice and QQ in texture. The passion fruit was sweet and tarty. I loved the little jelly pieces and boba. I will continue to frequent this place for Asian drink fix.
google avatar

Sandy G.

Yelp
I used to like this place but recently seems to have changed. Today I ordered the milk foam earl Grey tea. This is after I asked questions about the teas and was given an explanation on the comparison. I ordered the Milk foam Earl Grey tea because she said the foam sits on top and would be sweeter than the earl gray fresh milk tea. When they called my number, I saw a regular looking milk tea I realized it was mine and asked him about the milk foam. He was very Indifferent and said it's the same but they just "shook it up", and then walked away. Why even say there's foam then?? Also, the tea tasted like water with sugar in it. I got 30% sugar... very disappointed. Guess I'll go back to one of the other tea places in the area!
google avatar

Nat N.

Yelp
I was in the area and decided to try something new for once. I always go to the source and every time I'm in the food court I would see a super long line coming from gong cha, so, I thought this would be the shit. No it's not, it's just shit. Anyway, today was a weekday so there were no lines and also no workers. There was only one girl working behind the counter, doing both cashier and barista. So, it look us a good standing before our order was taken. That didn't really affected me, but I just wanted to mention it. On to the drinks, I got a matcha milk tea with boba (half sugar). Regardless of the adjustment the drink was still pretty sweet. There was matcha flavor though, so I'll give it that, but I wish they actually followed my adjustment issued. The boba on the other hand was harden. Like, barely any chewiness to it. I must've got the bad batch because there's no way y'all lining up for this.
