Never had this place before, my manager took me here and when I say I am in Awe, I am in total Awe! It was amazingly delicious this Strawberry Milk Tea and Croffle was so delicious! This was amazing and the staff was really nice, they actually greeted me from the second I entered the location. 10/10 you must go! I know I’ll go again and again!!! This place is amazing and you should go and visit!!

Google
Limited boba milk tea flavors, but still delicious! I got the Passion fruit tea - delicious!

Google
Clean little shop that is open a little later than the other bubble tea places in the area. Ordering on the machine was a bit painful, it wasn't as responsive to touch. Bubbles themselves were flavorless, not sweet like that many other places. Pudding was also flavorless, not very enjoyable. The tea and milk was okay.

Google
The inside was inviting and very modern. Their signs made it easy to order and had lots of enticing options. I ordered their brown sugar milk foam tea and it was stellar! I also got a matcha bubble waffle with strawberry and vanilla ice cream. That was also extremely good. Would definitely reccomend checking this place out!

Google
Been in&out of this place throughout the years, for some reason never had any time to leave a review. Until this past couple visits where I felt the service had got a whole lot better. Think they finally hired some very good staff. The drinks (winter melon*) my favorite. They were able to make it just right, not too sweet like other places and the Bubble waffle was so good I had to go back for my 2nd on the same day. Overall, this is my go to place in Edison.

Tiffany C.

Google
They stayed open at closing time to take our order which is great! The not so great is that the drink was watered down and the boba are not sweet. It was overly soft as well, and mushy, which is a first for boba for me. Will not return because there is a quality issue.

Google
Bubble tea has become popular these days for the younger generation. It's always crowded at a bubble tea chain store even in a cold winter day like today. You'll find a huge selection of different flavors of bubble tea. This store is neat and clean. They also provide free Wi-Fi to let you surf the net while you are enjoying bubble tea. Somehow, you should be cautious on Choke hazard....

If there's anything that can be said, it's that the staff at this location are GREAT!!! Every one of them were great! I came in and wanted to try something on the menu that I wanted "altered" a bit and they all pitched in on how to make it work and what would make it better. I loved what they had made and if I could give it more stars, I would!

Yelp
I've tried so many boba spots but Gong Cha will always have my heart. If it's your first time trip here, try one of my favs: Milk foam Dirty brown sugar milk tea with boba (in the pic) Earl gray 3 J's (I sub grass jelly for boba) Carmel milk tea with pudding

Yelp
Dropped in here because they were open after 8p, a rarity in the area for bubble tea shops, apparently. The servers were mostly making drinks, I tried using the kiosk which was slow to respond on the touch screen. I'd prefer talking to someone and getting my order next time or maybe on the phone/app. Clean shop, and the staffers were working and not just socializing, so that was nice. Fair amount of space in the shop. Parking lot was pretty spacious. Milk tea was reasonable size, and they had 30% sugar available. The bubbles were chewy and cooked thoroughly, but they lacked any sweet flavor that I remember from another Gong Cha in Millburn. The pudding was tasteless... no sweetness and very little taste compared with better puddings I've had at Coco, for instance. Overall ok due to the late hour, but I've had better bubble tea - will try them again later, perhaps I was in the shop too late?

Yelp
Fast service and super delicious milk tea. Gong cha never fails at any location. They're always friendly and the place is always super clean. This location had great ice cream and comfy seats.

Yelp
Looooovvvvveeeeeeee this place! Been going here for years. Their tea is top of the line ahead of many bubble tea places. No regrets here!! My favorites: - passion fruit green tea with coconut jelly - green milk tea with white pearls

Yelp
This used to my favorite boba tea place in south and central Jersey. I stopped by to order 2x Earl Grey Boba Tea with 3 Js last week, but was disappointed that the texture of boba was way off. I could not really go back to the store to file my complaint since I was already in south Jersey when I found out about the boba issue. Maybe next time I will ask to sample the boba before placing the order.

Yelp
Good bubble tea! The gong cha chain whenever I went is always a good standard bubble tea. I loved the milk foam because it was so rich and you can stir it in as you go. The pearls are chewy and soft. If you are a sweet tooth, you can keep your drink at as sweet as you want, but if you aren't a fan as much of sweets like me, 50% was already pretty sweet for me. Service was fast and you can grab and go or there is is a little seating area with a couple of tables and booths. Decorations are bad but it's a good place to just sit down and catch up for a couple of hours!

Yelp
Chelsea took my order & signed me up for the rewards program. For every $1, you get 1 point. Once you reach 50 points, we get $5 off . We love a good discount . Mei made my Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Foam & bubbles & it was quite yummy . It wasn't busy so I got my drink rather quickly. I will definitely come back!

Yelp
Waited twenty minutes for a bubble waffle they forgot to make. Didn't offer a refund and happily watched me walk out. Wouldn't recommend by any means.

Yelp
I can't say no to bubble tea, especially if it's the strawberry oreo milk tea at Gong Cha, which is my ultimate weakness. In my early days to the chain, I would be basic and get my pearl milk tea. However, every now and then, I like to switch it up and try some new flavors here. After seeing an ad for their strawberry series, I found that the strawberry milk tea has been my go to staple, which I've noticed that not a lot of other bubble tea shops offer. I also like how you can customize the ice and sugar level to your preference. The shop is located inside a tiny strip mall. Overall, Gong Cha is a great option for getting your BBT fix.

I had been wanting to try the sugar milk tea from here. It was delicious! Fast service as well.

Yelp
Food: Gong Cha has been a pretty well established chain nowadays for serving pretty decent bubble tea drinks. They have a bunch of different varieties and seem to always come up with new and interesting flavors/combos to try every now and then! I have tried several different drinks so far but today I picked the Lemon Juice w/ White Pearl & Ai-Yu which I found was both very refreshing and delicious. Most of their drinks are a bit sweet for me so I always ask for 25% sweetness. Also ordered their bubble waffle with ice cream- always a good snack but it seems as though they have been getting smaller ( I remember in the past it used to be bigger if my memory serves me right!) Cost: Typical cost for a novelty drink such as bubble tea! Environment: The place inside was nice and clean, they're abiding by COVID regulations and have no seating options inside and have put away their tables. Service: I went to go get drinks when it wasn't too busy so there was really no line- we put in our orders and got our drinks fairly quickly! I do know that sometimes when it gets busy, the wait time can be a tad long. Uniqueness: There are several stores that now serve bubble tea however gong cha is always your basic place to visit for a solid bubble tea drink!

Yelp
My go-to bubble tea place -- I love their selection of drinks and am never disappointed with whatever I choose. I always come here when I need to satisfy my bubble tea craving! This time, I went with the simple Honey Green Tea with bubbles. This flavor is sweetened with honey and you can choose for regular or less honey. I went on a Wednesday evening, there was no line and we were able to order and get our drinks fairly quickly. They do get really busy at times, but the staff always does their best to work quickly.

Yelp
OK bubble tea, service was a little confused. The interior is big with a lot of open space, which feels awkward walking up when there's no other customers. Even though it was empty, it was still hard to hear the cashier over the other noise of machines etc. The staff seemed pretty relaxed and maybe new. I tried ordering from their top drinks menu (milk foam green tea) but the cashier kept asking if I wanted milk. I asked for no other toppings and they put in/charged for boba anyway. It tasted fine but somehow the whole process felt like a hassle. My siblings got fruit based teas/slushes but they didn't seem like huge fans.

Yelp
If you wanna get drunk, go instead to a GONG BAR If you live nowhere near Katy, this location is too GONG FAR Unless you don't mind a nice ride in your GONG CAR To come and get a Dirty Milk Tea here at GONG CHA If they get all hipster they might serve drinks in a Mason GONG JAR If the sharp end of the straw cuts your face, you'll get a GONG SCAR I like to take slutty picture here, along with my Porn GONG STAR But if you want the best milk teas, come to GONG CHA WHAT What to get: Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Strawberry Milk Tea, Regular Milk Tea, Waffle w/Boba. What not to get: Inseminated by your bf's micro-prong-cha. Gong Cha is one of the best chains there is, especially if they have some of their standout items such as the Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea on their new Dirty menu, and I also recommend the surprisingly excellent Strawberry Milk Tea, or the regular Milk Tea. Certainly the milk teas are the highlight for me, and these three are exemplary. They filmed Gong With The Wind and Gong In Sixty Seconds here. But not Gong Baby Gong. That was at a different GC location. I was going to write this review the day this shop opened but that would have been a little "Gong Ho." This particular Gong Cha is literally one of my favourites that I've ever been to in my life. They have extremely friendly employees working here, and my drink came out nice and quickly. They have a bunch of new things on the menu such as the brown sugar dirty milk tea which is delicious. I'm thoroughly delighted with all the new products that they have, which really really energized me when it comes to trying new locations of Gong Cha. And I asked if they had Kowloon-style Bubble Tea, but they redirected me to "Hong Kong Cha." The taste of the creamy brown sugar milk tea is utterly spectacular and they made it so smooth and delicious, but it ended up being one of my favorite bubble teas that I had on a day full of spectacular bubble tea. Actually one of the best I've had in New Jersey. And I asked if they had any Hawaiian skirts but they redirected me to "Sarong Cha." I wonder if other locations will make it this well? I'll always remember this place for being so friendly and for being the first place I tried it. One of my fave Boba shops in all of NJ and in fact in the NY NJ metro area. And I may not have the thickest... but it's exceptionally Long Cha.

Yelp
Clean Gong Cha. Consistent and delicious with the other Gong Chas. Great bathrooms available and plenty of seating. Quick, simple, and good milk tea.

Yelp
I must confess that I am definitely a big fan of bubble tea or boba. It's hard to have a favorite because there are so many places that keep popping up in the Edison area and I think they all offer some unique drinks or some places just make it better than others. I like Gong Cha because they always have different series and flavors you can try throughout the year. Also they have a reward system so the more you buy from them the better your savings will be for future purchases. I will say that the bubbles aka boba are an acquired taste. It's soft, chewy but sweet when you got it in your drink. You can also try different toppings in your drink and it's just so cool to have something extra to chew on while having your favorite drinks. They have the steps to help order so you can adjust your ice level and sweetness as needed. I am really hoping they open up a location in the North Brunswick or Franklin Park area in the near future because I would be their #1 customer.

Yelp
This place is probably one of my favorite bubble tea places to go to. I like to change up what I order from time to time, but I usually get the Lemon Wintermelon with Basil Seeds, Lemon Ai-Yu with White Pearls, and Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3Js. Gongcha also offers a lot of different series like the Panda and the Strawberry series that they promote throughout the year. I love this because it shows that they're always adding new flavors for their customers to try out. They also have a lot of different options for toppings like basil seeds and white pearls that other bubble tea places don't have. I like the drinks under their Creative Mix series the most because the drinks are unique to Gongcha and I'm just in love with how it tastes. My favorite is definitely the Lemon Wintermelon with Basil Seeds. I get it with regular sugar and I never find the drink too sweet. It has a really good balance in terms of sweetness and the texture of the basil seeds also gives a little kick to the drink. Although I do find the service to be a bit slow, I realized that it is because they are looking for more workers. I would definitely recommend this place to any bubble tea lovers out there!

Yelp
After going to Menlo, I was in the mood for Bubble tea and found this gem after searching on Yelp. It's located in a small strip mall a little before/after the Old Post Road exit. I've probably passed it several times. It was super busy with mostly college aged kids, some parents, and kiddos. Bubble Tea is for the people! They have so many different flavors and combinations. Since it was my first visit, I went with my favorite, Taro. My favorite part of my experience was how you could customize your sugar and ice level! I went with 30% less sugar, though it probably didn't need full sugar. It was still yummy, creamy, and not too much ice. The boba (pearls) were soft and chewy. I would add another star if they sold glass or another reusable drink containers and re-usable straws. I know you could get those online, but I would definitely buy one in store and remember to use them as not all the to go containers are recyclable. Anyway, definitely go here if you're craving Boba/Bubble Tea.

Yelp
The dirty brown sugar milk tea I had was way too sweet. Maybe that is how it normally is but to me it was just way too much sugar. The person that took my order was very patient and understanding. The egg waffles are really good.

Yelp
Family hangout after Phò lunch, here. This place is packed at 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered Matcha Red bean and Pearl Milk tea. The staff are very busy, only four people working by the counter which includes the cashier. They're courteous and helpful. Well experienced in what they're doing. Long wait but it's worth it. The red bean is delicious and the matcha blended well with the red bean. The basic pearl milk tea is delicious, too.

Yelp
Gong Cha is like the Starbucks of Bubble Teas. The quality is pretty good, as they should be, with price they charge for a drink. You can get some drinks hot or cold and vary the toppings to include tapioca starch "pearls". Gong Cha also allows for varying the sugar content for most drinks as well which is nice if you need to cut down on sugar. I'd say this location is pretty good with the quality of drinks. There is plenty of seating and the employees are helpful when you need them to be. Most times I'm in the same shopping center for dinner and it's convienent to drop by afterwards.
google avatar

Yelp
Pearl milk tea, no sugar, was excellent, nice deep flavor. Bubbles were perfect, not too soft and not too hard - perfect texture and consistency. Appreciate that you can vary the sugar levels on many of the drinks (not the lattes). The waffles are freshly made, although I felt they should have put more ice cream - there was just a tiny scoop. Additionally, the young man at the cash register was patient and friendly. We were so indecisive because we couldn't decide among the many varieties. Also when we asked for an extra cup to share the drink, they gave it to us readily. Good service, that makes a difference!

Yelp
I first had Gong Cha tea from their stand at a bubble tea festival at Times Square. Out of 4 places I tried, they reigned supreme. Their quality remains high from store to store or situation. Their tea's well-steeped and smooth in flavor while their boba's well-textured- not too chewy. They have customizable ice and sugar levels (I like zero for both), fast friendly service, and very fair prices. Though I typically get zero ice because it interferes with toppings, my tea still comes out refreshingly cold. I got their Oolong with regular boba, red beans, and coconut jelly- what a tasty treat! They also offer other interesting flavors like lemon-wintermelon, passionfruit, lychee, and more. Gong Cha's my go-to boba place in New Jersey.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Came here for the dirty brown sugar bubble tea and egg waffles. They have different flavors of bubble. Choose between the sugar level and ice level. Usually the less sweet with light ice is good.

Yelp
I have an addiction to all things milk tea. I mean, did y'all see my Yelp tagline? Just the sight of a milk tea drink gets my heart pumping, my eyes start to dilate and I can't wait for that first sip. How much do I love it? I drink them 4-5x a week. Gong Cha is one of my top favorite milk tea places. Although a chain milk tea shop, I do find that the drinks taste slightly different from each location. I can always taste the tea flavor and most importantly, their bobas are bouncy, soft and not hard and chewy. In fact, I don't think I ever experienced eating hard bobas here. Numerous toppings to choose from. I usually get herbal jelly with my drink without any sugar. What sets this place apart from other tea shops is that they make their own Egg Waffles. You can order them plain, with bobas or ice cream topped with chocolate drizzle. Perfect with your tea drink. If and when I make it out to L.A. again, you can bet that I'll be visiting a different tea shop 2-3x a day for everyday that I am there! All my Yelp friends living out there, you don't know how lucky you have it! The choices you have seem to be endless. So jealous! Join Gong Cha's rewards program. Just give them your phone number every time you purchase your drink(s). Use your points whenever or save them for next time.

Liana P.

Yelp
i've been here before and liked it however my most recent visit the boba came out absolutely disgusting! Could not drink it and the girl with braces at the register was on her phone texting while taking my friend and I's order. Overall very rude service and bad product!

Yelp
I'm upgrading to 4 stars. After a few months of not coming here due to my concerns with the plastic on the jelly, my family started complaining because this is the bubble tea place they prefer out of all the ones in the area (and there are many in the area). We are now weekly regulars again (sigh). I'm happy to say that we haven't had any more issues with the plastic. Downgrading to 2 stars. We've been coming here on a weekly basis for a year and have been loving their drinks. I felt the need to update my review stemming from some alarming concerns. A few months ago, I decided to finish off my daughter's drink which had coconut jelly. While doing so, I tasted a piece of wrapper coming off of the coconut jelly. I thought it might be the jelly skin, but after looking at it, I saw that it was a small piece of wrapper. Our drinks were ordered to go and we did not feel like going back to the store to explain this to the kids who worked at the counter. I dismissed this as an isolated incident and continued our weekly ritual. Last weekend, while enjoying her drink, my daughter suddenly said"eww, what's this?" She spit it out and there it was: a piece of paper/wrapper from a coconut jelly. there was a small piece of paper wrapper on the coconut jelly and I dismissed it as an isolated incident ( my family loves this place too much to stop going for tincident). This past weekend, my daughter founpaper wrapper on the coconut jelly. Twice is too much of a coincidence.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get my Classic Milk Tea Bubble Tea. In my opinion, they have the perfect balance of tea and sweetness and their bubbles are consistently good. I'll be honest, they have some really neat flavors and their menu is pretty large, but I can't stop ordering the classic milk tea because I literally just love it too much. The few times I have tried their other drinks though, they have been pretty good as well. My other favorite here is the bubble waffle. The taste and crispyness is perfect. Oftentimes my hardest decision here is whether to just get a drink or a waffle. Maybe if I start going to the gym I can justify getting both LOL. They have seating so you can def meet up with people here but the vibes are not as cozy in my opinion so I prefer to take my drink with me heh.

Yelp
So far Gong Cha is my favorite bubble tea place, but with so many new places popping up within a few square miles it's hard keep up. I always enjoy the seasonal flavors it's a nice change from the usual. The boba are firm and have a nice texture. The pudding and herbal jelly feel soft, fresh, and not overly chewy. I am addicted to milk foam (sometimes called salty cheese, or milk cap at other places). The foam is salty and very creamy with a touch of sweetness and really complements and contrasts with both the sweetness and acidity of the tea. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Was excited to finally see a Gong Cha open up in NJ. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful and the service is efficient. My friend and I ordered the mango green tea and pearl milk tea which were both delicious. You can really taste the rich tea flavor. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu! I've also seen them put out different drink samples a few times I've went, which is great if you want to try something new. I sampled the Green Tea Yogurt drink, which was very refreshing, with just the right amount of tea and sweet yogurt flavor. + You can customize the level of sugar and ice in your drinks.

Yelp
New bubble tea place in Edison area. They give you option of sugar (none,30%, 50%, 70% or 100%) and same thing with ice (reg, less, light and none) in the drinks. We ordered the large ice black bubble tea with 50% sugar and less ice. Only thing I wish they did was let you pick the strength of the tea since I like it on the darker side. All in all, the tea had nice flavor and the bubbles had a good chew. They have plenty of seating and it was pretty clean. The day we went, they were giving our treats I guess for the grand opening. Had d choice of chcolate covered pretzels, oreos or kisses.

Yelp
This place used to be fantastic and I used to come here once a week. Unfortunately, in recent months it has transitioned to utter garbage. Not only have they raised the prices on every product significantly, but their overall quality has also fallen off. During my visit today, I ordered three Oolong Pearl Milk Teas for my family and was handed what was essentially three large cups of milk, half filled with ice though I requested light ice and little hard pebbles picked off the asphalt that they were trying to pass off as boba. They used to fulfill my request of less milk, more tea so I never complained, but today they tried to convince me that the milk was already mixed into the tea and they therefore cannot change the ratios. Not wanting to argue, I accepted this boldfaced lie and watched as they filled half the cup with milk first and then add a splash of tea. It is truly saddening to watch the spot I have raved about for 4 years deteriorate so far.

Yelp
Such a nice little bubble tea place in Edison, NJ! It's clean inside and the staff is friendly and helpful when trying to choose your drink. I ordered the Strawberry Milk tea (regular ice and 50% less sugar) and added the strawberry boba. The strawberry milk tea was delicious (great for any strawberry or strawberry milk lover). I wasn't a fan of the strawberry boba and wish I had gotten regular boba instead. The texture of the strawberry boba is a little weird and not as soft.. it was more hard jelly like? My friends got the oolong milk tea with milk foam and it was really good! The milk foam just added a foamy and creamier taste to the drink. I'll probably get this drink next time as it was really really good. All in all, the place is cute and the teas are good! Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Fragrant early grey milk tea with 3Js is the best so far in the Edison area. You get to choose ice and sugar levels. Staff of very friendly. Interior is very clean and smells fragrant like fresh tea. Toppings are generous unlike some places that skimp on boba and pudding. Credit cards are accepted which is very convenient. This place is in the same complex as Penang and Kamman supermarket and is in own store. Love it!

Yelp
I got the lemon ayi yu tea an match waffle with Pearl's. The waffle was so delicious. It taste fresh and delicious an the texture of the Pearl's warmed up made for a great balance. Highly recommend I think next time I'll get the taro milk tea with bubbles as I wasnt to crazy about the lemon ayi drink an the jelly in it was bland wasnt a great mix or balance.

Yelp
Typical Gong Cha with great drinks and a fair amount of seating! I dropped in with a couple of friends on a weekday around 2:00 pm so there was definitely a ton of seating and not much of a line~ I love love love crema style teas so I ended up with a black tea with milk foam and of course, boba, and it was great! My friend got a taro milk tea which she loved as well. Service was friendly and our drinks came out quickly~ Overall, a good place to grab milk tea and chat with friends!

Yelp
Nice finding a Gong Cha in Edison, NJ. Solid bubble tea that allows you to customize the bits you want in the drink plus sweetness and ice levels. On a winter day, I really enjoyed the lemon winter melon with basil seeds. The seeds add a nice texture. There are also little bits of lemon rind so be aware if you're not really into eating lemon zest. Gong Cha offers out of the ordinary drinks like oats milk tea or brown sugar ginger milk tea, which sets them apart from other bubble tea joints. I'm intrigued enough to find another location in NYC.

Yelp
Shortly, a solid place for that bubble tea craving- don't pass up! To say Gong Cha bubble tea is amazing is an understatement. There are MANY bubble tea places in this area (and many that are closer to where we live), but Gong Cha is definitely our favorite, so much so that we drive the extra few miles to come here than to go to ones closer by. The tea is actual nicely brewed tea rather than the flavored sugar water some other places serve (to each their own), and the tapioca is well-cooked with a nice bite to it. We've only had their drinks, but knowing how much we love them, I find it difficult to imagine that their food isn't good. They have a good variety of flavors to explore when you're feeling adventurous, so for us, it's definitely not a place we get tired of. They also do have a Top 10 listing of their best flavors for those who get intimidated by too many options, like myself.
google avatar

Em K.

Yelp
I'm OBSESSED with Gong Cha and think it's the best bubble tea cafe in the area. They make amazing tea, so I try to get flavors that are mostly tea based. Everyone has different tastes, but one of my favorite orders is black tea with pearls, oreo, and milk foam with a little ice and little sugar. I find that getting a little sugar is enough if you're also getting pearls because the pearls are doused in honey and sweeten your drink. I like just a little ice because any more than this starts to water down the drink, and you also get less tea. I absolutely love their brewed green tea. It's so flavorful and floral. I also get it with their milk foam and pearls. The milk foam is both sweet and savory and makes your drink creamy and delicious. Other drinks I've really enjoyed include the dirty brown sugar milk tea and earl gray milk tea with 3Js. I generally just get black pearls, but I've experimented a little with their puddings, jellies, and white pearls. I've enjoyed the different textures, but black pearls continue to be my favorite.

Yelp
This review is just for their new matcha bubble waffle. Gong Cha started to have these bubble waffles after Kulu Dessert opened up down the street. The matcha bubble waffle is terrible! They use very little matcha powder so the bubble waffle taste more like vanilla than matcha. They also rush so the waffles are not properly cooked in the waffle maker and breaks apart. I would not order the bubble waffle at Gong Cha! I will still go there to enjoy their bubble tea, which are great!

Yelp
Got the strawberry milk slush, medium, $5.50. Has slight fruit/sweet taste but could use more strawberry flavoring. Refreshing. For the new year, there will no longer be loyalty cards. Instead, rewards will be done via the app.

Yelp
PSA: They're replacing their old rewards program and old rewards expire 6/15 (or the 14th) so use them up if you have any!!! Location, Decor, Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food & Drink: 4/5 Pricing: 5/5 Location, Decor, Ambiance: I stopped by for a bubble tea today (Tuesday evening after 8pm). There wasn't a line which is the very first time I've come here without a line! There plenty of parking but note there's limited seating. They have a couple high tables/chairs, some additional lower tables by the window and then tables by the wall with seats there. Service: The service was good, they were patient when I was thinking of my order. They didn't mess it up this time which was a plus. I also had rewards to use! Food & Drink: I tried their regular milk tea today, (no lactose-free replacement) as I've learned my lesson from last time. I got a medium sized drink, no ice, and 70% sugar. Personally it was still too sweet for my liking so I'll have to try 50% next time. Pricing: The pricing is pretty consistent with what I've seen. I paid $4.00 (with tax but not counting my rewards program).

Yelp
I was so thrilled to find one of my favorite boba (sorry, I mean BUBBLE TEA) Taiwanese chains in Edison! TOP 3 reasons why Gong Cha is always a good choice: - Prominent tea presence in their milk teas - Good selection of toppings (including WHITE PEARLS) - Little-to-no wait at this spacious location My go-to is the Earl Grey Milk Tea with the 3J's (aloe jelly, boba, & egg pudding......only one of these actually has a J in it...), 50% sugar and no ice. MY FAVE :) Default sugar for all drinks is 70% and I find it VERY sweet....and I'm normally heavy handed on the sugar for myself. I would suggest lowering all of the drinks to at least 50% or 30% sugar! They do have a national loyalty system that involves signing up on a clipboard with your phone #, and each purchase accumulates a certain dollar amount to be deducted on future purchases. You just have to tell them your phone # at each visit! Overall, I have and will come back!

Yelp
Pretty popular chain for bubble tea. I'd say one of the better ones in the area. (I prefer it over King Fu Tea not too far from this joint. It offers more options and keeps their drinks interesting.) My favorite is the Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3 J's. I'd suggest going 50% sugar if you prefer less sweet drinks and no ice for slow drinkers like myself. Give their milk caps a try, it adds a salty touch to the drink. (I'd suggest the green tea milk cap drink with boba) Overall, it's what you'd expect in a bubble tea place.

Yelp
This place is so good!! I wish I had tried it earlier (but my wallet is going to suffer...) After hearing about Gong Cha from a few friends, I took the trek and it was WORTH IT. It's hidden in a small strip mall but has plenty of parking in my opinion. I was used to seeing a lot more milk tea flavors at other places I've been to but the simpler menu here was refreshing. I ordered the earl grey milk tea with boba - and then was asked about how sweet I wanted it, how much ice, and more. I appreciate how detailed they take your order!! It was perfect and the employees were so patient and helpful. Another tip- while not advertised, you can make some non-milk tea flavors into milk tea (e.g., passion fruit) but double check for other ones! So so good!! Can't wait to get my next paycheck and visit again!!

Yelp
Gong Cha in New Jersey? What a surprise. I've only seen this in the city and in China! I am so happy that I've stopped by because they have OREO FOAM. The only time i saw oreo foam was at Prince Tea House in Brooklyn, but now I can go to this place! Go to their website to see a better menu because the oreo series was not on the menu at the store. They have tons of "series," such as the brewed tea, coffee, mustache, panda, etc., I created my own drink which was Passion Fruit Green Tea with Oreo Foam. Make sure you mix the entire drink cause it tastes better! Wintermelon Oreo Foam- I "created" this drink and the wintermelon was good but wasn't amazing. I had wintermelon tea in China and it was phenomenal.

Yelp
Great location and the quality of bubble tea is similar to other Gong Cha locations. Service was a little on the slow side, but the interior is quite clean. They also have a good variety of seasonal specials

Yelp
Tried this location for the first time a few weeks ago. I typically get my bubble tea from my usual spot in Nutley, however, I wanted to try out a new place. Parking: A lot shared with other businesses. Tea: I love that they have so many options and they also allow you to customize your tea based on ice and sweetness. It was a but on the pricier side, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying them out again.
