The grand opening of the first store (1800 Rockville Pike) is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, complete with traditional lion dancers and specials for customers." - Tierney Plumb

Had the strawberry smoothie and brown sugar smoothie. They were not bad, but definitely more on the bland side taste-wise. Great place to hangout, there are plenty of tables available inside. But parking can be a little tricky especially during busy hours.

Google
This place is definitely more than tea and drinks. Their snacks are so yummy, the egg waffles and mochi donuts are the best!

Your drinks are always delicious. We tried these Almond bunny jellies which were very cute. The taste is subtle.

My daughter’s favorite boba drink is the Dirty Brown Sugar latte w/ pearl, 30% ice, 50% sugar. She likes to add the star shaped peach jelly. I always recommend getting less sweet because the original sweetness is too sweet for us. Boba drinks are getting more and more expensive though, so coming here is more of a special treat for the kids. The original egg waffle with vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and powder sugar is only $7.49 so it’s a good deal! 3 of us shared it and we were full. This store is spacious and clean. It has regular table seating as well as floor seating on mats (which made my legs numb after a little, so we moved to the regular tables) It’s very easy to order on the kiosk. You can open an account to collect points to get rewards if you come here regularly.

Google
Amazing atmosphere! The staff were so friendly and the drinks were made perfectly. The best spot if you’re craving a sweet treat :)

Google
Quite a big Gongcha where you could sit down and enjoy the food and drink. Have a range of boba and non-boba tea options - however, the tables were quite dirty and no one tried to clean them. The staff also did not mention some of the possible promotion items that we could have added on with a discount (that we later on found out on our own).

Google
I was never disappointed with what we ordered here for the first time - strawberry smoothie with creme brulee foam! So good! Also, the ambience inside is nice, they have an area where you can sit on the floor.

Google
Bubble Tea joint with other various Asian desserts! I love places that can create desserts that are tasty without overloading in on sugar! It took a little longer than expected for my order but the Yuza mochi donut was delicious and so was the green tea egg waffle! I would definitely come here again!

Yelp
My updated review on gong cha! Since I've finally moved to the Rockville area, I'm so excited that gong cha is so close by. I didn't try any of their food during the visit but would be down to try their waffle dessert. I ordered a taro coconut milk drink and within literally 2 minutes my beverage was done. Their service is amazing and my drink tasted great. They added in self-ordering kiosks which I think is so smart to expedite orders as a business. They also have a few tables but left the center of the room empty in case there are lines. I'm surprised it's not busy since I went on a Saturday night, it was pretty empty. There's also plenty of games available if you want to meet up with friends and just hang out. Would definitely recommend this gong cha location!

Deborah B.

Yelp
Easy to order on their kiosk. Good selection of beverages and additions. Friendly staff.

Charlene L.

Yelp
Today I ordered the vanilla waffle with an extra scoop of icecream as oreo cookie crunch. Nice

Shirley D.

Yelp
Gong Cha is one of my go-to bubble tea spots for a delicious drink! Ordering is easy here - you can order at the kiosk or with the baristas. My favorite drink is the Pearl Black Milk Tea! Can't go wrong with a classic. There's also seating and tables, which makes for a great bubble tea date!

Steve Y.

Yelp
The chocolate flavored egg waffle with vanilla ice Cream was good. I washed it down with a cup of black coffee. You can order at a kiosk when you enter. This place is noisy with a bunch of 29-something's hanging out.

Yelp
I've visited countless times over the years, and it's noticeable that this location is no longer brand new and needs better upkeep. Most recent experience March 2024--very concerning they don't have hand soap in the one bathroom they have for customers. I imagine many people have gone to the bathroom and did not properly wash their hands with soap...It was 100% out of soap and had already been filled with some water, I assume to try to use all of the soap. I told the staff the soap ran out; they replied that they would refill it. Didn't seem like they were going to urgently, so I stood there like a Karen until they got someone to go to the storage and grab one. The bathroom was occupied when the staff person tried to get in, so I kindly said I can replace it when the person comes out. (I was glad to especially because I wanted to wash my hands with it.) As for the drinks, overall pretty standard good. One of my favorites here is the strawberry matcha with foam. The egg pudding topping is also good. Cute seating area where you sit on an elevated platform and several sets of tables /chairs as well. Pretty comfortable environment if there is seating available. (Layout not overly crowded.) Service has gone down and is now meh. Can't say the staff are friendly or hospitable.

Yelp
Located along a string of trendy businesses on Rockville Pike, this Gong Cha is the perfect example of how not all chains are created equal. This location distinguishes itself from the rest through its ambiance and decor, and was the ideal experience to tame the boba fix my group and I desperately needed. For starters, that mural near the entrance is awesome. The real scotter in the front is the perfect prop for the ideal shot. The inside is bright, clean, and inviting and ideal for all occasions from after-dinner jaunts to a hang out amongst youngins in the night. They have board games and lots of seating, which includes a fun elevated corner for folks not looking for the usual seats and tables. Their milk tea selection will always be tops over the rest of their menu, which includes a "series" of brewed teas, smoothies, milk foam, marble, and even a creative mix of flavors. My preferred drink of the latter is the lemon wintermelon with basil seeds and the passionfruit green tea is quite good. While folks can enjoy their oolong, brown sugar, and taro milk teas, I think the purple sweet potato selections get overlooked a bit and their presentation is very purple ube-friendly. I haven't done the egg waffles or the mochi donuts here, but I trust they go well with the drinks. I think the service is quick, which is made more efficient with the self-order touch screen. I think their prices are what one would expect in boba-land (#1) nowadays. I would consider this a solid place to chill and work on their halfway decent WiFi and use their clean, solo gender-neutral restroom. ___________ (#1) $4-6 a pop.

Sylvie C.

Yelp
I swung by here after dinner with a friend. The ordering process was easy -- you can place an order using the big touch screen menu right by the entrance, go up to the cashier, or use their mobile/online ordering system. I chose the strawberry smoothie boba drink. The order came out with the drink spewing out and making a giant sticky mess. No straw or napkin was offered upon receiving the item. The employee didn't care whether the drink was oozing or not. All of the tables were very dirty and sticky when we sat down. How an iced drink with so much ice tasted so lukewarm and melty baffles me. The drink itself tasted overly sweet despite selecting the 70% sweetness and less ice. The boba tasted very hard and chewy. It was as if I was chewing on hard candies. The strawberry syrup tasted like Robitussin cough syrup. Was the wait time and the $9 worth it? NO!!! We also ordered chocolate waffle. She was glad no ice cream was added to it because the waffle was scorching hot and it would have also made a soggy melty mess. The waffle itself so subtly sweet to the point it seemed bland when accompanied with our overly sweet drinks. For a close to $8+ in cost, I also do not recommend ordering this item. Our visit was also not the first time we ordered drinks and snacks from this particular location. I thought the last occasion was somewhat of a fluke that my smoothie was mostly just ice with syrup on the bottom and very melty. I wouldn't return again unless a friend insist we go.

Yelp
It takes a little bit more effort to park and walk over to the shops/restaurants here. I usually park in the garage connected to Safeway, but it costs $6/hr after 2 hours fyi. Otherwise, it is very rare to be able to get a spot out front. The drinks here are good, just like how Gong Cha usually makes them so no complaints much about the quality. You can also use the touchscreen near the entrance to place orders. The customer service is just okay. I guess because it's a bunch of kids and possibly their first jobs, but meh. Expected. The seating area isn't always clean and sometimes I have to wipe tables before using them. Otherwise, it's just your standard Gong Cha really. Nothing bad, nothing amazing, but just standard.

John D.

Yelp
The only Vietnamese coffee that tastes just like Vietnamese coffee I've had in the US. The ordering is always easy even when it's crowded. The staff is nice. The patrons also nice.

John L.

Yelp
Pro: parking garage, games, self ordering kiosk. Con: none. After eating at the hotpot restaurant that was next door me and some friends decided to swing by and get some bubble tea. Upon entering you have two self ordering kiosks and the left and some table seating on the right. Use the self ordering kiosks to customize your drink and order any food that they offer and pay. They have games such as jenga you can play as you drink. The environment was clean and organized. There some limited free parking in the front but if needed a parking garage is available. The first two hours are free. All in all, a pretty good place to stop by and get some good bubble tea

Yelp
food: can't go wrong with boba, I ordered the qq passionfruit and forgot what my friends ordered. but taste wise, it taste just like what you would expect, I don't think it differs much from different branches. service: really busy and it took a while for our drinks to be ready, but understandable on a weekend ambiance: love the elevated platforms to sit around, and the little decorations inside.

Ariana N.

Yelp
Love this place! so spacious, and great customer service!. The drinks are so delicious and well made! I will definitely come back!

Karina B.

Yelp
I love coming to this gong cha. They always make my drink correctly. I also really love the mochi donuts caramel is my favorite. I really like the seating area you can also play board games they have there as well.

Charles C.

Yelp
Gong Cha is a world renowned Bubble tea shop from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. You can adjust the sweetness and ice levels to your liking. Always fast and reliable service. And the teas are always delicious and fresh. Overall, Gong Cha Rockville was extra delicious, and has higher standards. It was a great cup full of sweet tea and chewy boba, and it was all harmonized. DJ_AZNSAYS: Dirty brown sugar latte with pearl is a must try.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years since it's conveniently located next to a hot pot place. They've recently changed their rewards system to their own internal app, which is annoying since I had built up quite a bit of reward points. They've also changed their cashier system to show you exactly what the cashier is putting in, which is super nice to verify you got the right thing. Drinks themselves are decent - definitely on the sweeter side so make sure to reduce the sugar. Drinks typically come out around $5 each as well and are a good size. It's quick to order, very slow for them to make it though. The inside is quite spacious, with multiple tables and areas to sit down on. They brought back the board games that you can play since the pandemic. There is one unisex bathroom that is pretty clean!

Rumit P.

Yelp
All the interior dining seats were obstructed because of COVID-19. You order at the counter that has plexiglas in front of it. There are so many signs on the plexiglas it's hard to focus on one but I noticed their current offer was to buy a medium and automatically get it upgraded to a large beverage. I ordered a mango bubble tea with milk. It tasted great! I paid using a tablet (they use Square for credit card processing) and a receipt was emailed to me. Made quickly and accurately! I would come back to this location. Limited parking is available directly in front, and there is garage parking around back that's free for an hour.

Georgina W.

Yelp
I've tried gong sha times now the first time I got a brown sugar, Boba tea and the second time I got a Matcha drink both times I was impressed by the flavor but not the price point. I had heard great things about gong Cha and decided I definitely had to try it as I love bubble tea. However it's not my favorite and i would go back and try other things but I can't give it 5 stars just yet!

Rita A.

Yelp
The mochi donuts were delicious, light and chewy in all the right ways. We took off a star because our bubble tea wasn't as good as we expected. I've had better at other locations.

Mark C.

Yelp
Update as of March 2020. Still accepts cash and credit card. If you order drinks, they are prepared fairly quickly. If you order their waffle cones, it will take at least 10minutes so please keep that in mind. Their drinks are all really good. The toppings are an extra charge so keep that in mind. Their bubbles have a good chew to it, but the grass jelly is my preferred choice. The staff here are extremely friendly. Recommend their black milk tea and their matcha green tea. They offer both cold and hot drinks. The interior is very clean and very well maintained.

Sharon L.

Yelp
Great bubble tea with a cute space to hang out ! My drink always comes out fast and just how I like it. It is my go to spot !

Athena A.

Yelp
Any chance to try a new boba spot; I take it! This place doesn't only offer drinks but they have the famous Egg Waffle with Ice Cream treat and a nice cozy hang out spot that will keep you coming back for more. Order: Caramel Milk Tea - This wasn't too sweet so I enjoyed the flavor. It was a nice blend of milk tea with ice and tapioca. Taro Milk Drink - The taro was yummy. I've had numerous taro drinks and sometimes the texture when prepared isn't fitting for me but this was actually made very good. Kudos Gong Cha! It was a cold drink with tapioca. Egg Waffle with Ice Cream - You have the option to order this with or without ice cream. Of course, I went WITH ice cream. An immaculate scoop of vanilla ice cream sat perfectly inside the egg waffle cone drizzled with chocolate syrup. Yum! These tug at my taste buds way too much - yup, I'm a sucker for ice cream and a freshly made egg waffle - I'm all in! The customer service is good. The menu on the outside to explore before you enter and order is a plus. The cozy vibe is the icing on the cake for this spot. They also have hot drinks too which I plan to come back and try!

Ann A.

Yelp
Ordered the Mango Marble Green Tea Latte. It started off great, the only reason for 4/5 is that the flavor does down once the mango syrup is finished. The service is great at this location and cashiers are great at giving suggestions on what to try.

Yeay O.

Yelp
Normally I go Tea Do bubble tea, Ding Tea or another place service good. So I want to try the Gong Cha place first time, the Service very bad..!! I was ordered 2 drinks. I waited and look how the they making bubble. She already done making my 2 drinks. and she let my drinks sitting in back the place that she was making bubble tea. and I saw her keep making another drinks for customer !! She didn't bring my drinks to the front counter and didn't call my number pick up yet, until I asked cashier girl, that my drinks done yet, because I have to go..!! The cashier asked me what I was ordered, and I look at her, seen like she get mad at me!! I just want my drinks and go that's it I understand they r busy, but if they done making drinks for customer should bring drinks to the front counter and call customer pick up drinks and done !!

LesLee V.

Yelp
My new found favorite dessert place! I love the Dirty Brown Sugar fresh milk with brown sugar pearl. The pearl is chewy and delicious. It's a bonus that you can choose the sweetness of your tea. I tried the strawberry milk tea the 3rd time I came here but I like my Brown sugar milk tea better. The chocolate egg waffle with ice cream was so rich in flavor too. Can definitely taste the cocoa that they used. The ambiance is so relaxing and kids friendly. They have an area where kids and parents can play board games, Jenga and the likes. I always get tempted to go inside every time I pass by this tea place. Makes my sweet tooth so happy.

Shelly J.

Yelp
I have been here, more than I check in. As you know, every since bubble tea has made their presence in my area, its my go to drink before any coffeehouse. Before Covid and restrictions, I would love to come here and unwind and catch up with friends. My friends and I love the cozy settings. I love their deco. You can chit chat and lose track of time. They offer an extensive list of teas, from refreshing teas , milk teas or bubble teas. My favorite teas: Brown sugar milk tea, milk, oolong, and hibicus green tea. The service is always amazing and fast. I cant wait for COVID to be over so I can come back and unwind with my friends.

Sally W.

Yelp
Wow! Accidentally stumbled upon Gong Cha, and I'm so glad I did! This has got to be the best milk tea I've had in the DMV area! I got the Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea (picture was after I started shaking it up - oops!) and it was AMAZING. I hate when milk tea lets you down - when you get that powdery or artificial flavor. This was just absolutely ON POINT in flavor. I got mine half-sweet and it was just the perfect amount of sweet for me. It was sweet, creamy, and tasted luxurious (if that's even a thing for milk tea?). Can't wait to go back to any of the Gong Cha locations in the area and get my milk tea fix. Thank you, Gong Cha!!

Amy S.

Yelp
Love this place. I like my black tea, no sugar, no topping and regular ice level. I am pretty boring but you can customize it the way way you like it. I discovered a new drink... passionfruit sparkling - again no sugar and no topping. The drink is sweet enough for me without any additional sugar. The flavor passionfruit is very strong, not an artificial flavor or watered down. It is a very refreshing drink. Looking forward to the next time.

Hanaa U.

Yelp
I was visiting the Maryland area and had a craving for some bubble tea. Gong Cha kept popping up with great reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Gong Cha definitely did not disappoint. I ordered a black milk tea with boba and it was delicious. I like my milk teas pretty sweet so I thought they prepared it perfectly. The service was fairly quick considering how busy it was. The employee taking my order was also very friendly and answered all my questions.

Rachel H.

Yelp
I'm pretty convinced Gong Cha is the perfect remedy for a hang over. Not only for the drinks but also the atmosphere. After attending the Yelp Elite event at Gong Cha I fell in head over milk tea for this place. I stopped in on a Tuesday around 5:30 and the 'restaurant' was empty. I ordered my standard strawberry green tea milk tea with pearls. I definitely think there's an abundance of pearls so I ordered less. My drink was ready within minutes and tasted like perfection. I decided to sit inside because it was very relaxing. A couple minutes later the place was full. I probably would have rated Gong Cha four stars but they currently don't serve any snacks lol. I heard a rumor that will be changing soon but for now we will have to wait. I can see myself coming once a week to get away from work and just relax for twenty minutes here.

Isabelle HT P.

Yelp
Got the the strawberry matcha latte with strawberry pearls with 70% sugar. It was delicious!! Should've ordered two!! Matcha flavor was not overpowering. The strawberry flavor was sweet and tangy, which created such a wonderful balance of flavors.

Maria T.

Yelp
Okay Gong Cha! Updating my review. I had to try the new brown sugar soft serve... go ahead and get it, man. Just be ready to spend $5 something for it... it's worth it! It's tastes light and rich at the same time. Whoever thought of this should get a bonus! I'm really adding a star because of the safety precautions this place is taking to protect their customers and employees. I was here a few weeks ago, and they were only taking online and phone orders- then serving at the door. Now they're letting people in but everything gets cleaned and everything is marked. I see they even got a stick to push orders further away from the countertop... that was funny, you have to see it.

Hannah H.

Yelp
About a 2-2.5: Gong Cha is a Taiwanese tea chain that offers an extensive drink menu, including milk foam variations, brewed tea, milk tea, smoothies, coffee beverages, and creative mixes with additions of toppings (such as pudding, coconut jelly, grass jelly, kanten jelly, red beans, basil seeds, etc.). I ordered their Lychee Green Tea, and I wasn't really a fan. The green tea itself tasted bitter, and the lychee flavor was weak. The drink itself was watered down, and while still drinkable, it wasn't that enjoyable. Staff were friendly, and the place itself is very open with the high ceilings. There were plenty of seats, and there was even a rack of board games. Definitely a space where you can sit down and just relax, chit-chat with friends, and/or play a few rounds of games as a group. On a side note, I thought their milk foam characters were super cute! I'm glad I tried Gong Cha out, but not sure if I'd go out of my way to return, as I have my favorite tea places! +watered down drinks +tea is bitter +friendly staff +spacious vibe +board games available +limited free parking

Ruth C.

Yelp
Service hasn't sorted out all their problems, which tells you something about how good I think the bubble tea is here. They gave us the wrong topping on the third attempt for a drink they lost track of, and then made incorrectly (even asked for my receipt in hopes that I asked for the wrong thing); fortunately, the jelly was good enough for both of us to not be too annoyed about beyond the almost 20-minute wait. The expediter and second barista both offered a "sorry" while the original person who was supposed to handle my order just kinda hid at the far end of the assembly line. Milk foam is lightly salted, and a cute gimmick that I'll probably steer clear from next time. Pudding ratio was good, and the sweetness levels were just right for the taro milk tea. Lots of mixed seating options and charging outlets. This is up there with KFT for me; the wintermelon oolong tea will probably have me coming back for a taste of Taiwan, with an occasional splurge for oats milk tea or earl grey milk tea with 3 jellies.

Shivana D.

Yelp
Love Gong Cha more than manyyy of the other bubble tea places in the area! They have a huge variety and lots of topping offered. They regularly come up with lots of signature drink options and the taste is never artificial or overly sweet. I usually get the lychee oolong tea or strawberry black tea. They put a ton of jelly/boba in your drink which is nice because one of the most important sensory experiences of bubble tea is chewing the boba haha. The atmosphere is also quite nice. Despite the fact that it's always bustling with people, there's still room to play games or just relax. The play area is a great attraction. Only complaint is that I would love it if this place served dairy-free milk tea options - along with alllll the other bubble tea places in Moco. Lactose free milk powder isn't dairy free so for people who don't drink dairy, the options are limited. Eden center in VA has a couple smaller bubble tea places that will put coconut milk in your drink if you request and that's always a nice touch.

Yelp
Another hit arrives in Rockville. Another hip-casual, modern bubble tea joint is now competing for the fans of bubble tea in the DMV. Of the local bubble tea shops, ranking goes: I strongly prefer this over Kung Fu Tea (any of its many locations). I strongly prefer this over Bubbles&Tea (Rockville). I strongly prefer this over Boba & Bites (Fairfax). I prefer here equally to Tea-Do (Rockville). I prefer here equally to TeaDM (Falls Church). I prefer here equally to Vivi's (Falls Church). I prefer here equally Teas n' you (Tysons). 2 thumbs up for: My favorite at Gong Cha would definitely be the Lemon Aiyu with White Pearls - I love strong citrus and lemon peels in this drink. I also like the Earl grey milk tea with 3Js and the oolong tea. 1 thumb up for: I feel like the purple sweet potato, despite at normal 100% sweetness, is still rather bland tasting. QQ Passion fruit tastes just about the same as any other place. Service: friendly and patient Ambience: very nice modern contemporary with a hip, cozy feel.

Niloofar B.

Yelp
The best bubble tea I've ever had. The earl grey milk tea is my absolute favorite. Definitely go for the milk tea as the coffee bubble tea I tried was quite watery and flavorless Highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back soon to try the made to order waffles.

Danny S.

Yelp
I really like the inside design of this boba shop - clean lines and modern fixtures. Like most new boba shops, the drinks are very customizable. I've come here multiple times now and prefer to get no ice, no sugar, and sometimes with boba or pudding. I'm the type of boba drinker who prefers less sweet drinks, and more tea taste. For example, Tea Do and other boba places still taste super sweet even without any added sugar. I would say Gong Cha and Kung Fu tea are similar tastewise, but Gong Cha I think has more variety.

Theresa H.

Yelp
One of us saw a table has Gong Cha sitting at the table the moment we walked into Akira Ramen. That got her very excited and me excited as well. After the ramen, two of us waited for an order of okonomiyaki to come which eventually did not. The rest has gone to search for the Gong Cha store. When one of the staff took the okonomiyaki charge out of our check, we paid and went looked for the rest. AMBIENCE 5/5 This is a huge spacious store. Lots of seatings and the store has games for patrons to play while enjoying their bubble tea. There was a cute bike on display in front of store. DRINK 5/5 The bubbles were so soft. The tea was very good. I have no complaints. It was a perfect drink. I was happy :) SERVICE 5/5 So I heard there was an order of almost 20 teas before us so they had to brew more tea. There would be a about 20 minutes wait. No problem, we comply ;) Staffs were pleasant too. Everyone was so happy after getting their bubble tea. It was such a wonderful afternoon :D

Paul S.

Yelp
I was never a big fan of bubble tea. I do enjoy it once in a while but I am not in any way a bubble tea fanatic. However, since my wife loves bubble tea, I'm forced to have it more often. Since we live in Florida, my standard of bubble tea is pretty low. There would be some places that would have bubble tea, usually just a milk tea and some bubbles. This place has it all. Honestly, there's just too many choices for me. But my wife really loves the tea here. Of the four days that we came to visit this area, she's had gongcha 3 times! From the 3 times we've been here, there has always been a line, although the line moves pretty quickly. I still don't know much about bubble tea and foams and all of that stuff but I'm starting to enjoy it a bit more.

Diana D.

Yelp
Came here on a Weds night about two weeks ago. Literally waited about 30 mins just for three drinks to be made by the male barista. He was slow and was more busy talking to friends than making the drinks. The boba was bland and tasteless so I regretted getting any pearls with my drink. I was pretty excited to have a Gongcha location nearby as I loved my experience in other Gongcha locations before. I don't know if I'll come back here next time but we'll see. The drinks weren't bad as we got a oolong milk tea and a oolong milk foam. The milk teas were fine, only probably was with the slowness and employee. I'm also questioning why they don't have the milk tea shakers since it would've shortened the time to make the drinks.

Eunice A.

Yelp
At first I was so excited to hear that Gong Cha opening in Rockville because I had extremly good bubble tea from the Gong Chas in Korea. However, I was extremely underwhelmed by their drink. Seemed to be the same for my friends as well. Got the Earl Grey Milk Tea w/ 3 J's. Comes with tapioca, grass jelly, and pudding. Honestly, it was just an average drink and I will probably try something else if I go again. Had no problems with service during my visit. Went on a sunday evening, seating was somewhat limited, but we were lucky enough to snag a table. Enjoyed playing with one of the board games they had with my friends. I cannot imagine myself going again unless I hit up Akira Ramen or Urban Hotspot. But even so, garage parking is only free up to 2 hours, so not sure if I would be willing to pay extra just to get Gong Cha after a meal. Furthermore, when comparing Gong Cha to the many other other bubble tea places on the pike (I can count 7 off the top of my head), GongCha is just 'A-OK'.

Shirley Jane D.

Yelp
I ordered ice cream on waffle and brown sugar milk tea. I loved the drink and I really love that you can change the sugar level because I hate either too much sugar or no sugar. So the sweetness level was perfect!! The ice cream and waffle was okay flavorwise not anything special but it looks pretty and that's all. Not gonna buy it again. Probably come back if I'm in the area only for the drinks.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Pretty good bubble tea with lots of different options. For tea they only have black and oolong though and if you're looking for low caffeine oolong is the only option, and it has a pretty distinct taste that I don't love. I got the brown sugar option so lots of cream and sugar which was what I was looking for and basically covered up the oolong. Definitely need to explore the menu more!

Kelly D.

Yelp
Whenever I'm at rockville this gong cha is my to go place to get boba. I usually get taro milk tea but today I wanted to get a thai iced tea. Big mistake because It didn't taste anything like thai iced tea the flavor was way off. idk what they put in it but they put too much of the syrup and it overpower the entire drink. Had to throw away after 2 sips because it honestly made me want to throw up.

Yelp
The place for bubble tea after Ramin noodles next door. Fun card and board games for anyone to play and unplug.

Yelp
Excellent mango smoothies, I didn't tray anything else. Place was clean and looked nice. I wasn't a fan of the ordering system, they make you use a touchscreen instead of talking to a person. Which means ordering something "off menu" like a Thai tea blended, is more difficult than it should be. Still I would absolutely return.

Yelp
Urban and young was my first thought when I walked in. Off to one section, you have an elevated floor seating area. This would be great for kids to run around or to sit at the small tables. There are cushions. When I visited there were many young people (perhaps high school or college). I liked the string lights and hanging stars. The place invites lingering while you drink your bubble tea. I tried the lychee green tea with strawberry pearls. It was a good blend of lychee and green tea. I did not add any more sweetness as the lychee already comes in a sugary syrup. Thanks to the cashier who told me this. I thought I was getting the popping boba but the strawberry pearls are not the same. They were still good. I prefer them over tapioca boba. I enjoyed my combo blend.

Yelp
This place is a very nice place to hang out. They have seats on a deck with cushions. A great place for friends to hang out. Parking is not so great though. 2 hours of validation or try a get a parking in the front. Not a fan of their milk teas. Tasted too milky. However, I have to give them stars for their boba. Not too chewy and not too soft. Just cooked to perfection. I am a fan of their passion fruit teas. Although it's made with syrup (which most boba place uses), the amount is just enough not to overwhelm the taste of the fruit. I prefer getting jelly or basil seeds with fruit drinks. Service is quick.
