Dropped in to get a limited edition Peanuts Keychain. Had to get a milkfroth green tea that was very tasty. Service was awesome. Always a challenge deciding on a drink there.

Ordered 2 teas around 4 on a monday, barely any wait. Drinks were spot on, no notes. The inside had a clean and relaxed vibe, perfect for studying in pairs or solo. Not a whole lot of tables, but enough for the space. Overall great experience, menu picture provided for all those price point people

I love finding a good boba stop! This one did not disappoint! They had so many options and choices.c toppings and add ons! I was so excited when I walked in seeing the wall of boba made me excited to try everything! I came here with my cousin and she ordered the brown sugar boba and I ordered strawberry milk boba. The brown sugar boba was good, you can’t go wrong ordering that. The strawberry milk boba was so so good! Usually when I get anything strawberry is pumped with strawberry syrup and just too sweet and makes the boba flavor not balanced but Gong Cha really got it right, they made the strawberry flavoring from real strawberries giving the milk such a simply but perfectly sweet strawberry taste. I got it with a crème brûlée topping that really helped bring the whole drink together.. I usually don’t have a lot to say about boba but this place really impressed me. And the inside was so fun with all the art in the walls. I can’t wait to go back!

Gong Cha is a great Boba brand. Their milk tea tastes authentic and fresh without too much sugar. The price is reasonable. This store has a decent dining room with several seats. Their service is fast and friendly. The best thing is that their Christmas special gingerbread cups are so cute!!

Delicious boba shop, highly recommend. Lots of different options with custom ability for ice and sweetness. Decently priced. Seat available inside and outside but limited. The parking lot can be crowded and busy, but free.

This place was good when they first opened up. The last time I came to get a simple iced taro milk tea with boba there were mysterious chunks of something hard in it. I was already on the road so I just didn't finish it. Today I figured I'd try it again and the same thing, chunks in the drink I returned it and not so much as an apology was given. Also it wasn't until after I ordered my drink as I was waiting that I notice not some but a lot of gnats flying around they were everywhere. That can't be safe or that's just gross.Even the guy that worked there was taking pictures of the gnats on the wall. I will not be returning to this place. Sad that they let a good place get run down.

Small shop with limited seating. Quick to order and didn't have to wait long for the drink. Tried the Pumpkin Pie Slush. Truly tasted like pumpkin pie, like straight up the filling. Was good though!

I seem to come here only when they have promotional items. This time I came on the first day of the Peanuts collab to get the mystery keychain. The drink takes up like half the height of the cup and the keychain is at the bottom in the flap. I ordered the Woodstock - Matcha Flutter (matcha latte) drink, 30% sugar and got it in a surprise cup. There wasn't a line to order but there were a lot of people waiting for their drinks so it took us more than half an hour to get our drinks, which was understandable considering there were only two employees working at the time. A big thank you to them though as I cannot imagine how busy they were today.

Was in the Mira mesa area and in the mood for boba tea. Based on a work colleague's recommendation I stopped by gong cha and was not disappointed. They have an easy to use tablet based ordered system and I selected the milk tea based off of their popular items menu. I chose half ice and 30% sugar as I don't like my tea too sweet. The result was perfect. The tea was rich, the milk creamy and the boba was damn near perfect as well. I opted for the medium size and finished the entire cup! Definitely a go to tea shop in the Mira mesa area. Plenty of parking in this strip mall and if you're hankering for some good Vietnamese food, try Pho Cow Cali a couple of doors over.

Pretty standard boba drinks and service, you order on a kiosk. The main takeaway with these is you don't know what's recommended unless it's listed as a popular drink. I like Gong Cha because they have unique flavors and teas, and their drinks have always been consistent. I usually go for their Strawberry beverages, I like the flavor and their sweetness is always a good level. It is a long lasting boba shop in Mira Mesa but they always seem to have seasonal offerings and strive from collaborating with different brands and themes.

Yum this spot is delicious. They have unique flavors. I had the pumpkin spice milk tea. They have really good sales too cause I saw the regular tea is only $3! Boba texture is good chewy consistency. I got the 50% sugar and it was perfect. If you check in on Yelp they will upgrade you to a size larger for free! Great service. Orders come out quick. It's a small boba shop with lots of different things going on all the time. Great spot. They have mystery cups with keychains but they were already out for the day. They also have a XL size like 711 big gulp style! I've never seen that at any other boba shop.

Came back again with my friend that wanted to try the drinks. I think they ran out of cup sleeves, but that's ok. I ordered Felix's picks again, the milk foam oolong tea with coconut jelly! It's still my favorite drink!

Went with a friend of mine on Sunday the 17th to try the Felix pick drinks, I ended up getting the Milk Foam Oolong Tea w Coconut Jelly, surprisingly it was really good. I normally don't do any milk to teas so it was definitely interesting out of my comfort zone but I do like the fact you can still taste the tea and not just the milk foam, as far as the coconut jelly almost tasted like pineapple to me it's definitely a bit more dense than boba but it gave it a nice refreshing finish. The place is small but is also very clean the staff seemed nice as well, I'll definitely come back for another drink and hopefully more Felix items to come.

Super surprised there aren't more locations of Gong Cha around San Diego- I guess that's smart so that people will seek them out. Anyway, it's a great boba spot. Quenched our thirst for good boba. The staff was friendly and the drinks came out in a timely manner.The plaza it's in is super busy, but there are plenty of parking around the establishment. There were a handful of tables that were full of people. Pricing is really competitive too. I ordered their large Pearl Milk Tea and that was only $6.95. Yes the drink I got was super basic, but it hit the spot! Really great, you can taste the actual "tea" and it wasn't just the powder. I will try their other flavors but really glad I tried this place. You can thank Instagram!

Came in and the guy behind the counter helped us right away. He was very knowledgeable and patient. The inside was small but very clean. You are able to order at the kiosk or with the person behind the counter. I ordered the limited time strawberry cheesecake smoothie. It was so delicious. Nice frozen treat with big flavor of strawberry and the pudding on the bottom was so tasty. If you are in the area please stop by you won't be disappointed.

Can never go wrong with Gong Cha. This place has really solid drinks and is one of my favorite boba spots. From teas, coffees, milk, and more, everything tastes really good. They also have some snacks but I have yet to try them. I ordered off the tablet but the service is really fast. I got my drink quickly and workers seemed chill. The place was decorated very nicely and there are tables for you to sit at. Super well kept and overall very aesthetic.

These gingerbread bottled are so cute! The drinks are good. I like when boba spots have the kiosks that you can order from. I find it easier to customize your sugar level, ice, etc. It was pretty busy on a Sunday evening, so our order did take a bit long, and parking isn't the best as it's in a busy plaza.

Service was suuuper friendly. The guy that helped us was so nice and chatty (in a good way). We got the sparkling qq passionfruit. And as someone that usually gets 0% sugar and gets enough sweetness overall from added boba - I think I'd get a bit less of the passionfruit syrup next time but we still really like the drink. Yummy flavor, love the passionfruit with the sparkling water and the jelly + boba goes well with it.

Doc treated us to a cold beverage. We checked the Yelp menu posted and both of us got the same drink. Hubs is having surgery next week so he was instructed: no caffeine the week prior. The milk foam milk coffee was so yummy especially with the pudding on the bottom. I read the label affixed to my cup. 50% sugar? No wonder it tasted so yummy. Usually I get 0% sugar. Don't tell my Virta coach but it DID taste wonderful

I recently visited Gong cha and was very happy with my experience. The service was swift. The ambiance, nice and clean, perfect for relaxing and enjoying boba with a friend. I liked the wall adorned with pictures of different boba flavors, it's really inviting. We got the taro boba and appreciated that it was non-caffeinated. The flavor was so satisfying, especially at 50% sugar, which seemed perfect. A fun place to try in a great little shopping center.

Absolutely never coming back to this location. I came here to order 1 drink and it took them 30 mins to make it. There were two people making the drinks. I heard the woman in charge tell the two staff to prioritize web orders over the customer orders. We were literally standing there for 30 mins!! There was a group of people waiting by the table and they looked disgruntled too. I should've learned my lesson the last time I was there. The boba was still hard on the outside and mushy on the inside. I only came back because the manager reached out so I figured I would give them another chance. TLDR; - The taro smoothie was bland. I could taste the powder. It wasn't blended well. - Bad boba. - Staff had no awareness of customers waiting. - They used low quality gallon milk to make their drinks.

Ordered 2 teas as a part of the stray kids collaboration featuring felix, drinks came out pretty quickly. The inside was very clean and had a nice relaxing vibe.

Was feeling nostalgic of my trip to Korea so I got the strawberry yogurt smoothie which came with strawberry pearls, and it tasted very similar! It was a little sweet at 100%, I would maybe get it less sweet next time. Super cute cups and fast service!

The owner or manager messaged me about my recent experience and offered a voucher to make up for my bad experience, I decided to give them another chance and order 4 more drinks. I have waited to try every drink before reviewing and they were all perfect. Thank you for getting back to me about my bad experience. I hope their drinks will be more consistent in the future as I order a lot of drinks to save for several days out. I will be returning back per usual. I love the self check out option, but would be nice if the baristas greeted us as we come in.

I visited this place a few times now, dining area is pretty spacious with just a few tables. The service is pretty quick, they do get pretty busy. I love how they have many different drink options to choose from along with a snack menu (they offer waffles & mochi snacks), The drinks are amazing, with dairy free options and milk alternatives which is a plus! I always had a great experience here and haven't been disappointed with a beverage I ordered so far which is why I keep coming back. My go-to drink here is the lemon winter melon tea with basil seeds. It's such a refreshing drink, especially on a hot day. Service was quick and friendly. The boba shop was clean and had tables where we could sit and enjoy our drinks.

My kids and I love this place for boba! It is our go-to boba joint! Seems like a popular spot also! Service is great. Choose between a kiosk or a human. Ambiance is welcoming. Highly recommended!

My family and I went here twice during our visit to San Diego and had such a pleasant experience both times! You know, usually it doesn't take much interaction at a bubble tea place as it's sort of a grab and go type of thing but I was so impressed with the kind, attentive, and friendly service we had here. The servers/baristas looked young but they were so amazing! I had a little one with me and they were so kind to her. Gong Cha flavor is always good but the service here just makes it 100 times better. I wish i had gotten the names of the folks who served us. Just in case their managers read this, I went 10/22 around 7:15 pm and 10/16 around 5 pm. Thank you!!!

Stopped here on accident and I'm glad I did! They have a bunch of new strawberry style drinks and anyone that knows me knows I am obsessed with anything strawberry. I didn't know what Kanten Jelly was and the man at the register was nice enough to let me try their strawberry version. It was delicious! I could eat an entire bowl of just that. Very good customer service. They had the instructions on how to order right next to the register, so it was easy to follow. I'm always appreciative when shops let you decide how much sugar you want the drink to have because I can't have too much sugar. I ordered the Strawberry Milk Smoothie and it was love at first sip! I gave myself a small brainfreeze because I was too excited to stop drinking it. Soo much strawberry flavor bursting in my mouth with every sip. This is definitely one of my new favorite bubble tea shops! I can't wait to come back here and try their taro, which is also one of my favorite flavors to get.

I work in the Mira Mesa area occasionally so, I've been to this location a few times. Drink-wise: they have a variety of options. The drinks are well made, though this specific time my tea seemed to have more of an ice taste than tea. The boba is good, and they have a variety of other toppings. Haven't had the food yet. Service-wise: efficient to-the-point staff here. It can get crowded at times so they try to get you in and out. Ambiance-wise: it's a small shop with indoor seating, and a little table outside. Probably not the best option if you are coming here to do work or study. In summary: Gong Cha is a big boba chain so you probably aren't going to be receiving something spectacular, but you'll also rarely ever get anything less than above average in terms of the quality of drinks.

I've been coming here for well over 3 years and I can say that I've always been satisfied with the tea that I've ordered. The overall vibe is really chill and the indoor seating is pretty comfortable. The drinks are served pretty fast and we never have to wait more than 5 minutes for our drinks to come out. Overall really recommend coming here and trying the Panda milk tea

Manager reached out and welcomed me back to try another drink. This time got the earl grey milk tea with 3J (grass jelly, pudding and pearls). I got it with 0% sweetness and 50% ice. It was perfect! They didn't skimp on any of the toppings either.

Well now...would ya look at that!!! Been here a few times since I discovered it a few months ago. Came in to get a drink, but forgot to ask for a receipt TWICE, lol! So yes, I went back in a third time to buy something and this time I asked for a receipt. I noticed they don't add a "service charge" or sales tax here which is great! I got nickel and dimed at another location...if you've read my reviews, you'll know which one. I dropped a star because the lady who took my order the first time didn't get it right. It was an Earl Grey Milk Tea with the Creme Brulee topping, light ice and 50% sweet. I gave her my phone.. TWICE, so she could type in my order. I had a pic of it on my phone because I posted it at that other location. She must have been distracted somehow because my name was called for a drink that did not have the Creme Brulee topping. She also did not charge me for the Creme Brulee, so I had to pay an extra $.97. I thought that was lame since she messed up but whatevaaa. I still tipped anyway, as I always do. They have added a table with 2 benches right outside. However, you're not allowed to sit there if you're not a patron of Gong cha. So you can't eat your Mochinuts there, lol. I'm not a huge fan of the cramped parking lot here, so if you have a smaller vehicle, take that. Good luck if you come in with a tanker. Their strawberry almond jelly milk tea is BOMB. I added boba and it was a little harder than I like but maybe it was because I pre-ordered online. I will def come back!

I was surprised by the amount of different drinks they had! So many options that it was hard to choose from. They are also currently having a promotion, if you check in you can get a large upgrade for free! I got the lychee green milk tea with half sweetness. The drink was slightly sour and tart from the lychee but not too overpowering. Boba was super soft and chewy. Overall I really liked how tangy and tart it taste, and because of the lychee the drink was on the fruitier and refreshing side. My friend ordered a sparkling juice drink, but because you aren't able to adjust the sugar this drink was on the sweeter side.

If you live in San Diego, odds are you have tried milk teas/boba at least once. Gong Cha is a location that serves a multitude of individuals with drinks of varying ingredients, from restrictive no sugar or dairy; like an iced black or green tea, to the person that wants all the things; Lemon Juice with White Pearl and Ai-Yu or the Crème Brûlée strawberry milk smoothie. There are so many options with Gong cha that it's always an adventure to step into this establishment.

The ambiance of this place was chill and cute! Like your typical boba tea shop. I liked the wallpaper mural of all the bobas! The strawberry milk tea itself was realllly sweet. A little too sweet for me. They used almond milk in it and I personally would've preferred normal milk. The almond taste was very prominent! I definitely need to try more items on the menu such as the strawberry matcha milk tea and their boba! Service was nice and fast! I would like to come again to try more different versions of the drinks.

I came in today after dinner and had a great experience, The drinks were not too sweet, 50% sugar was good. My drinks were made very fast, the counter girl was cute. She gave me good recommendation and let me sample the white boba. I recommend the panda milk tea, 50 sugar. The store is cozy too and feels clean. I came in with my boyfriend and he got the earl grey. It was good too, and had a stronger tea flavor which I like. Overall, great drinks, great service, and great store. They have a wide menu selection too. It is one of the better boba places in mira mesa since there are so many.

I went to Gong Cha for the gingerbread bottle. I asked the cashier if I can get 2 sets of the 3 different faces of the gingerbread bottles, which is 6 bottles. She told me no, she's not going to look for the bottles so I just ended up buying 2. Their milk tea with foam was delicious. They lost a star for the bad service.

Stopped by to pick up some boba and a code for the Final Fantasy XIV crossover event. I've never been before but I would definitely visit again. The boba was delicious. Service was relatively fast even though they were super busy. The place was small inside but clean and tidy. You should get the staff a microphone so they don't have to yell to get folks to pick up orders.

Thai tea. You already know. I was in the area and I'm so glad there was a Gong Cha! I didn't feel like being disappointed. And I know Gong Cha always satisfies. Thai tea. No sweet. Easy ice. No boba. They used condensed milk which is sweet enough for me. Perfect! My only small problem is the price. I used the yelp check in freebie that get you a free upgrade to large. My drink was a little over $6 for a large. With no boba? Maybe the guy at the register didn't honor my freebie by accident. Which by the way, shout out to him. I stopped by gong cha after pho, and it's really been a while since I've gotten anything at gong cha. I was curious to see if they had any new drinks. After trying some of their fruit drinks, I think that gong cha remains pretty mid-tier boba for me. My group ordered the lychee oolong tea and the mango green tea with honey, both half sweet. TIP: they are accepting the Yelp check in so you can get a free upsize! Paired with my fivestar rewards from years ago, which somehow didn't expire or anything, and I only paid for one drink. Perk aside there is seating in the store, and a display case with BTS merch. We liked the mango green tea more, as there was real mango pulp and the tea was smoother. However, even at 50% sweet it was so sugary it felt like it was coating my mouth when I took a sip. The lychee oolong, on the other hand, was actually not very sweet. However, the tea tasted more burnt than roasty, and the lychee flavor was rather sour. Coming to gong cha again after a long time was a bit nostalgic, but at that price point I would rather go somewhere with more delicious drinks. I think that the inconsistent sweetness makes ordering drinks and deciding sugar levels more difficult as well, and I wish they could have more balanced flavor.

I do enjoy the boba here as far as big chains go (my go-to is their wintermelon milk tea which is caffeine free, not too sweet, and their boba is nice and chewy!), and they always come up with a number of creative and seasonal recipes. But the reason for this lower review is that I've been consistently disappointed by their promotions here. My past two visits, I went out of my way to come here for their promotions, first to redeem my birthday coupon (it was texted to me as part of the rewards program, free drink under a certain dollar amount), and second to go for their seasonal gingerbread man cups. When I first went for my birthday coupon, they informed me that the "machine wasn't working" and that they would be unable to honor my coupon but could offer me ~20% off a drink (way lower than the monetary amount that the coupon was worth) despite me showing them the text I received with the deal. Most recently I came because I saw a holiday season promotion on Instagram for their gingerbread man cups, only to be told that they had run out of the cups. A while back, I tried coming here to redeem a BOGO 50 promotion during the year, only to be told my coupon wouldn't work either, so this is definitely a recurring pattern. Business needs to recognize that people may go out of their way to choose this place among competitors for their promotions but then the multiple times I've gone I've found that the promotions are flimsy and unreliable. Please be more trustworthy and don't waste people's time. The first time this happened I wanted to give them a pass but the second, third time this happened is what drove me to write this review because it just feels scammy and makes me wonder if it's more of a lure to draw people in just to have them order stuff out of sunk cost fallacy.

Was in SD for the weekend and had to try out the Gong Cha here! What's special about this place was that they were giving out one free BTS keychain if you bought 3 drinks :') I ordered the Lychee Oolong Tea with Herbal Jelly but my phone had died so I wasn't able to do the Yelp Check In for a free upgrade :( Don't forget to do that!! The drink was perfect even at 50% sweetness. Any oolong tea seems to never disappoint!

I used to love Gong Cha (not this location) and honestly came here just for the gingerbread man bottles (so many other boba shops). I came here soon after they opened and a lot of customers were also waiting to order with a gingerbread bottle. I asked the cashier if I can have the two out of the three different faces on the bottle and she said I can't choose because they have limited supply. OK, fine, so I asked well can I at least get two different faces since I"m ordering two drinks and literally drove 30 minutes just for those bottles. Again she was rude and said I can't choose. I definitely saw all the other drinks that were being made and they were all different faces. I end up with two of the same faces and it's the ones I didn't want, which she knows because I pointed the the ones I wanted. I think she did it on purpose. There were other staff member and they were a lot friendlier when I asked about something else. The drinks also took so long to make, I was waiting 10 minutes for my drink and there were only two other drinks ahead of me for in person customers. They were busy making third party food delivery drinks as I heard them talk about several times. I even saw a drink what looked like mine sit on the counter for a good five minutes. It was not my drink and after my drink was made, the drink orders were all called out together. Honestly the drinks weren't even that good, they were either too sweet (the one I choose can't choose sweetness) and the tea was ok. I will not be coming back because of the service and drinks. So many other boba shops in San Diego that are way better.

I've had some not so good drinks from Gong Cha but the strawberry series is amazing! The strawberry matcha with sea salt foam and kanten jelly was delicious. I've had the matcha milk tea here before and it wasn't really good but mixed with the strawberry milk tea, this drink was so flavorful and refreshing. I would stick with the strawberry options for a guaranteed tasty drink. Service was ok and the drinks could take a long time so I love ordering online and just picking up in person.

Came by after having pho next door to find my favorite strawberry tea is back. I tried the strawberry earl grey. It was delicious, but wished the earl grey tea was stronger tho. The workers here are prompt and polite, as usual. Definitely our favorite spot for milk tea. Don't forget to check in on Yelp for a free upgrade!

Alright, let's get this story started....It tasted pretty good except for the fact that I found metal( half a stapler size piece) in my drink. I got a Large mango green tea with pearls. My drink was ready and when I picked it up, they forgot to put the pearls, so they took it back and a few seconds later my drink was ready again. It seemed like they took the lid off, threw the pearls in and served it to me instead of making me a new one. While drinking my new but old drink, I found metal inside. I showed them and they apologized and made me a new one and gave me a free drink coupon. Guess what?! The second(third) drink ALSO had metal in it. I threw the coupon away, I'll have nightmares if I gave someone that free drink coupon and they ended up getting sick or something due to shredded metals ripping up their inside
