Google
Wonderful espresso, cozy location. Got the spectrum blend and it was rich, chocolatey and had the most incredible body. Really enjoyed it! The shop is quite small and the seats not the most comfortable. It's cozy and quaint, but this location is probably more suitable as a quick grab-n-go spot than to chill at. Nevertheless, worth coming to try out their coffee!

Google
The service was fast, the barista gave great recommendations to my caffeine free friends lol. I had the horchata latte, too much of a cinnamon taste for me but enjoyed it.

Alita Hawksworth

Google
Friendly staff Plenty of seating inside and outside Almond croissant was delicious Iced latte was refreshing

Snacking in Saudi

Google
The horchata latte sounded amazing and had lots of complex flavors that unfortunately didn’t show up in the finished drink. The coffee itself was strong and tasted fine, but I had to ask for a lot more horchata reduction/syrup to taste anything. Would come back to try other seasonal drinks.

Google
Indeed it was very good coffee. They do not have any sugar free flavors but they do craft some really interesting choices. I tried the Anise sarsaparilla latte and the cardamon latte both with oat milk, and they were both delicious and very well balanced. The Anise sarsaparilla latte was my favorite. Their Matcha is also very good and in the past I've tried the horchata latte which was good as well.

Google
Have been visiting this place since 2017. It has never changed and that is a wonderful thing. Amazing vibes, coffee and staff. Cathy and Megan were a great team! Such beautiful latte art

Google
Amazing designed space. The plants make me happy. The coffee is on point. It's fairly quiet and a good place to work from remotely if that's what you're looking for. Also really enjoyed getting to know the friendly staff.

Google
I loved this place! Customer service was excellent and such a good spot to just read my book! They had unique flavors and I tried the matcha lavender latte. I am usually not fan of lavender drinks but this one was pretty good! My only complaint is that I wish their pastry collection was bigger but i would still recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
Popped in here on my way home. Found parking right in front. They only have street parking. The staff is quite friendly. The lady who helped me initiated the brief conversation, which was nice. The decor is modern and inviting. There is a decent amount of seating and tables, and the fact that there were folks comfortably seated having conversations, reading, and on their computer is a testament to the cozy atmosphere. The cafe mocha hit the spot!
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
Um, more like GREAT coffee! My friend brought me their strawberry mint matcha and it tasted like laying in a field of strawberries and mint and matcha (does matcha grow in fields?)
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
A small shop but it's very nice inside. They have a great seasonal drink menu with creative flavors for milk based coffee drinks. Also a good selection of tea and tea drinks too.
google avatar

Jack H.

Yelp
Good Coffee is a PDX staple with a couple locations throughout the Portland area. Went to the Buckman location to grab a hot mocha and their coffee is always consistent, highly recommend. Staff is great and it's an enjoyable spot to sit both inside & outside on a nice day.
google avatar

Yelp
Really niche coffee shop I've been to before other locations and I love the service and the food that they give here has the bakery items are really delicious and fresh made. The coffee is really good and beat Starbucks any day with local coffee shops in Portland. Makes their latte look pathetic... Not that. I'm trying to talk bad about other businesses but come on you can't be local and the service here is excellent
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
You want good coffee? Yea, let's get good coffee. Where do you want to go? Good Coffee. Yes, I want good coffee; where do you want to get it? Let's get it at Good Coffee...And that was the one where we went to good coffee to reference Friends episode titles. This cozy corner was a cute establishment with excellent coffee. I ordered the lavender matcha and it was potent and powerful in taste. There was a distinct taste of lavender AND matcha. The quality of the drink was not watery and full. The seating was very fun. There was a variety of bar style seating and tables. Both indoors and outdoors. Great place to read a book or have a conversation. Normally, I would give constructive feedback, but I have none.

Lucia K.

Yelp
Unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. Maybe it was just the barista on that day, but the cortado was basically a mini latte
google avatar

Jade M.

Yelp
My only complaint would be that this place should be called "Best Coffee". It's the best coffee in PDX! Not only is the coffee fantastic, but so is the space and the people. I love sitting here on a rainy day while drinking a hot latte. I know this location is one of their smaller ones, but it's worth the visit!
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
I like the vibe here. Minimal, lofi indie music and most importantly exquisite coffee. When I sit on the low bench it makes my knees point upward, a feeling I haven't had since I was a kid sitting on furniture for kids smaller than me. Art class stools adorn the rest of the seats. I ask the barista for a latte and follow it up later for the macchiato. There are several options for flavored drinks but none of them are for me. I'm in love with coffee. I want the flavor of coffee not some pumpkin spice monstrosity, although I bet they do it well here. The flavor of the espresso hits just right. It's enough to keep me perky while writing my memoir. Not exactly the best place to work, more of a social space. I like that about Good Coffee.
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
The atmosphere was quite nice. Enjoyed the coffee greatly! It certainly hit the spot!
google avatar

Neev L.

Yelp
Small and cozy shop. Not enough space where I'd work there for a long time but still really nice and the coffee is a 8.5/10.
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
On a recent visit to PDX we stopped in for a coffee and truly enjoyed the vibe. From the friendly dogs outside to the artful coffee and the sleek, Scandinavian interior, the whole experience made me sad that this isn't in Tacoma so I could go more often.
google avatar

Yelp
Good Coffee has good coffee. I frequented this place while going on walks. The employees were super friendly and my coffee didn't take long to prepare. The environment is peaceful and provides a good space to study. It's also a very convenient location.
google avatar

Lizzy K.

Yelp
Got a lavender matcha and vanilla cappuccino. Both were delicious. The lavender matcha was tasty and had the perfect amount of lavender in it, so it didn't take completely floral but absolutely gave lavender. The cappuccino froth was excellently frothy.
google avatar

Charlene J.

Yelp
Can't even front, I came here strictly off of the name. I wanted to see if the coffee was actually good. Thankfully it was. LOL Either Seattle is ridiculously expensive for coffee or Portland just got better prices overall cause getting 2 lattes for under $15 with tip is pretty cheap to me lmao The vibe here was cool, the staff were friendly and the coffee was was strong enough to taste in our lattes but not overpowering. I love when I can get a good balance! We ordered the matcha lavender & horchata lattes with oat milk and they were both delicious! Would def recommend. I saw someone studying here but I personally think it's a little too loud and small in there to not get distracted while trying to work. All in all, it IS good coffee and I would come back again!
google avatar

Croissant G.

Yelp
The service and coffee were good! I like that they don't use lids and straws. Unfortunately I would give the almond croissant like a 2/5 :( as a croissant girlie it made me very sad. Most of it was dry and chewy except the very center was alright texture-wise. I kept waiting to taste the almond filling only to realize they put so little I didn't even realize it was there. Good coffee, bad croissant

Yelp
One of the first coffee shops that I've visited in Oregon and I already feel like it will be in my top 3 favorites here. The design of the place is aesthetically relaxing and the staff is very friendly. The coffee wasn't too bitter or too sweet, just right. I would most definitely visit again.
google avatar

Gloria B.

Yelp
This is a nice coffee shop! The coffee is tasty and the atmosphere is warm! It's a little small but that doesn't stop people from spending time sitting there enjoying their coffee or working. I like the employees, they smile and are friendly and easy to talk to and ask for what you need.

Yelp
Monday morning in autumn, I force myself out of bed, dress and sleep walk towards caffeine. I'm new to Portland so, I'm touring and getting acquainted by visiting and experiencing all the coffee joints. I sleep walk to Good Coffee cause it's next on the list, will be a good walk in the morn and I need the mean bean juice. I order a cappuccino because that's always the first test. I had a spiritual experience with that cap. Not only did it bring me to full awareness, it dilated my third-eye, excavated all my shakras and pierced my soul causing the only audible exclamation I've ever made sipping coffee: "God Damn". Excellent roast. Excellent pour.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
Thay should change their name to excellent coffee... We had an excellent cappuccino here. Excellent coffee indeed.

Yelp
Good Coffee is fo sho' gooood! They live up to their name. With multiple locations around town, you'll be sure to find some good coffee at Good Coffee. This location is tucked away by Ladd's Addition/Hawthorne neighborhood, yet it was quite busy on a Monday morning. With a small storefront, they have a handful of tables and are kindly requesting you keep your stay to one hour. I ordered one of their winter specials - smoked fig latte with oat milk. I wasn't sure what to expect with my drink, but it was good! I was afraid it'd be too sweet, but it was balanced - smooth, spiced, sweet. I couldn't really taste the supposed 'smoked fig', but it was unique and the allspice was a nice complement. The cafe had large windows, many plants, and features local art you can buy - the perfect coffee aesthetic. Also, the playlist they had on when I was there was also a 10/10! They also have merch (coffee, t shirt, mugs, totes, tea) to fuel your caffeine addiction. Friendly baristas, good coffee, cool vibes, Good Coffee should definitely be your next coffee venture!
google avatar

Holland M.

Yelp
I randomly stopped by before an appointment, & wow, the matcha lavender latte was incredible! The baristas were very friendly, & the cafe was extremely clean. I stayed for a bit to read, & I really loved the chill playlist & atmosphere. I can't wait to go back & try an espresso drink!
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
"Good" is an understatement; I love this place! My favorite things here are all off of their seasonal menu, I highly recommend you give it a look whenever you're in. I am usually drawn to the matchas and lattes, which are delicious, and honestly I don't think you can go wrong here. The staff are always kind and helpful, and they have all the good milks here. Love the location, it's cozy and clean, and there's some outdoor seating. FYI street parking only.
google avatar

Shannon T.

Yelp
I'm in no way a coffee expert, just someone that enjoys an occasional cup here and there. I've always wanted to explore more of the coffee culture in Portland, but it's slightly intimidating. Good Coffee offers a small unpretentious menu. I absolutely love that the barista asked if customers were okay with whole milk. Often I forget I need to ask for an alternative milk and this was such a friendly reminder. The baristas were very nice and helpful. I got the maple and smoked orange oat milk latte. I must say, it was very smooth and tasty. I would come back for this. I prefer my drinks iced and it says a lot for me to say this about a hot drink. The white walls and decor are very on-trend, with large windows. I would come back with my laptop for sure. It's a cute place to get stuff done at. Very quiet in a comfortable manner.

Yelp
Ordered a nonfat sugar free latte from their new location in the Alaska terminal at PDX. Was told they don't have SF syrups. Ok...strike 1. Got my latte & the barista announced "2% latte" I said, "It's supposed to be non-fat." He replied, "We don't have nonfat." And shrugged. Strike 2. Taste my coffee, it's ok but way rich due to the 2%, and LUKEWARM. Strike 3. Ugh! Never again.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Good Coffee may be a cheesy name, but it's accurate. This is their smaller location, but has a nice personality. Friendly baristas, delicious coffee, and a good assortment of pastries. This is a good location to work from, as are all of their locations. Being in the Buckman neighborhood, this is a happening spot. I definitely like that they started roasting their own beans as of several years ago. One of the best in Portland.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Enjoyed a smoky fig latte here and bought some coffee beans for a colleague. I got there on a Saturday morning around when they opened at 9, and the place was bustling, which was a great sign. The fig latte was unique, I'm not sure if I would entirely have detected the smokiness/fig but I enjoyed it nonetheless. They had a good selection of other goods and pastries, and as a bonus they offered to grind the beans I purchased which was generous of them. The cafe itself is small and cute, although parking in that area is always a bear. I look forward to coming back and trying their seasonal specials, other menu items included matcha lavender and pumpkin spice. As the barista explained, enough variety to spice things up but not enough to make you feel overwhelmed like Starbucks, which was an apt way to put it.

Sierra L.

Yelp
The baristas were friendly, but they need to amp up their cold brew. It wasn't very strong. I'm sure their other drinks are fine, though.
google avatar

Liss C.

Yelp
Horchata latte- fantastic! Eat drink and caffein-ate local! This place is awesome! It's Good to be Good! I must mention this place is walking distance from some fun spots to capture Portland! So grab your Good coffee and get your pictures going!
google avatar

Lily D.

Yelp
Staff was nice but I'm hoping this review reaches the owners because $1.50 for oat milk is ABSURD. We paid $27 for two muffins and two iced lattes. That's far too expensive for the quality of food & drink this place offers. Especially considering how small this cafe is, I can't imagine their rent is that expensive to warrant these prices. I just hope they're paying their staff a great hourly wage...if not, they deserve a raise. Unfortunally I won't be coming back, other cafes offer the same quality coffee with non-dairy milk for no charge or charge less than $1. Seems like the owners just want to take advantage of those wanting to consume non animal products, instead of helping to support a more sustainable alternative. No thank you, can't support this kind of business. Get with the times.
google avatar

Alison B.

Yelp
The coffee shop is very cute but I paid 20$ for 2 medium lattes (one with almond milk) and a scone. This is way too much for not so good latte.
google avatar

Maria V.

Yelp
I loved this place! I usually order my drinks iced but their lavender matcha latte was amazing. Perfectly smooth and frothy. Looks like they rotate drinks and I love that. Variety is the spice of life. The coffee shop itself is really nice inside. Lots of seating inside and outside. It's also brightly lit so you don't have to worry about squinting all the time. Everyone who works there is helpful. They answered my questions without any qualms and they were really friendly. You can also take a picture anywhere and it'll still end up looking pretty nice. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Tatum E.

Yelp
Best lavender matcha I've ever had. The oat milk was perfectly foamy, the lavender tasted fresh from the garden! So delicious
google avatar

Kurt P.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee, great atmosphere. They could use a little more seating. They have lots of sidewalk tables, but in Portland... Try one of their specials. I had the smoked orange maple latte - really nice flavor but not overpowering. Service is great - there were four of us and they brought our drinks to our table and actually delivered them to the right people!
google avatar

Heidi S.

Yelp
Nice oat milk iced latte! Would recommend getting an additional shot of espresso if you order a large latte. The baristas are nice and friendly.
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
Good Coffee has some really.... good coffee! I ordered one of their specialty drinks, the matcha lavender latte, and was pleasantly surprised. I was afraid there would be the overbearing lavender flavor since I'm not a big fan of fragrant flavors. However, there was a very small hint of lavender and it came through as an aftertaste. It blended perfectly with the matcha green tea flavor. We also ordered an iced latte, and it was a solid tasting latte, very good. Another thing I really love about this place is its decor and big windows allowing natural sunlight to come through. There's lots of seating and cute little plants placed around. Would definitely recommended this to everyone!
google avatar

Abby W.

Yelp
This Good Coffee is something of a personal favorite meaning my review is biased. Let me tell you why. From the moment you walk in your feel welcomed and like you belong. That is a rare find in the midst of the snobbiness of Portland coffee culture. Next their drinks are incredible. I've never had something here that wasn't endlessly smooth and delicious. Now let's talk customer service. These guys are so very kind even on those moments where I should've had coffee to help me order a coffee (we've all been there). All that to say, stop by and enjoy the background music that sets a productive mood. Oh, and you're welcome. ;)
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
We came here after a bad experience with a coffee place up the road. This place is soooo much better. The blackberry walnut has a ton of flavor, purely delicious, and service was friendly too. Thanks from Chicago
google avatar

Seiji N.

Yelp
The name says it all, Good Coffee is your spot for tasty coffee. One of the things I love about Good Coffee though, is the design of the shop. It's quite unique if you take a good look. The shop has a very industrial + minimalist feel. There's a lot of wood, marble, and plants. It's definitely a favorite of mine for a spot to just chill and work on projects out of.
google avatar

Megan P.

Yelp
This place is so super cute! It has a lot of greenery and a great vibe. The coffees come with cute hearts and you'll always feel at home with a book or laptop. They have seasonal flavors like fig lattes which are pretty good. The flavor is subtle but great. They don't have different flavors of espresso. If you like flavored coffees this is the place for you they mix them great- if you like the flavor OF coffee, you may want to try a different place.
google avatar

Delaney D.

Yelp
Kind people, smooth & rich coffee. I got the maple orange iced latte and i liked it, but wouldn't order that flavor again. However, I love that they offer such bold, eccentric seasonal flavors. The people who work here are so helpful & engaging! I also love the space, from the plants and decor to lighting. Surprisingly, there is plenty of space to do work and sit! The layout of this shop is fantastic!!
google avatar

Emma T.

Yelp
I've gone to both of their locations. I love their coffee. Since it is probably one of the most popular drinks, I'll just state it, they do not serve white chocolate mochas. They can add vanilla which is better in my opinion anyway. The only advice I can give is, there is not a lot of seating and Good Coffee is popular so if you come at a "busy time", don't expect to sit inside. They do have WiFi and an amazingly cute and clean bathroom. Also great baristas. They are super friendly and actually engage in conversation. I have a photo of a mocha with vanilla and their dripped coffee.
google avatar

Aabhas S.

Yelp
I'd give 6 starts if possible. Perfect, creamy, delicious, only slightly over priced lattes. Since leaving Ritual (San Francisco coffee shop) behind, there's been a hole in my heart that I've been trying to fill, and it sucks that I have to go all the way to Portland to fill it. Also love the hanging plants, and the vibe in general. Would definitely go back every time I'm in Portland.
google avatar

Shannon W.

Yelp
Good coffee indeed. I got one of their seasonal brews, the Blackberry Spiced Cocoa latte. It was one of the most perfectly balanced drinks I've ever had in my life. The coffee, the berry, the chocolate, and the spices all blended together to make a perfect drink, and to make a decision on which drink to try first was certainly a struggle. I WILL be back here and I WILL be trying every single one of their seasonal drinks every season. The staff was great, the aesthetic was small, but cozy, good coffee is a place for great coffee.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Super duper cute coffee shop! We're visiting from Austin, where the coffee game is strong. And I mean strong. I yelped a few coffee shops before the vacation and we tried them all. Good coffee is by far my favorite. I got a Cortado, and the flavor was amazing! Dark and full, just how I like it. The coffee shop itself is very cute, with plenty of inside seating and outside seating as well. We'll definitely come back here again if we are ever back in Portland!
google avatar

Cassandra C.

Yelp
We've come here probably 15-20 times over the last 6-12 months. The coffee is okay (walnut blackberry latte?) but we really come for the mustard pastry they stock in the bakery case. It really makes a nice little morning to sit and share the savory mustard pastry (I believe it's from Bakeshop, mmmmmmmm) and have a nice coffee. I've had cold brew here, the orange maple and maybe another seasonal drink or two. If we're looking for a good coffee, this place is a solid option when we don't feel like venturing out and trying something new that could let us down. The service is always friendly, patient and welcoming. They have a few tables outside. Good coffee is good.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
Okay Good Coffee. You win ALL of the #coffeeshopgoals awards because...wow. From the fun "GOOD DAY" tile floor at the entrance (seen all over Insta), to the giant windows, to the plants/vines - the interior is perfection. The baristas are beyond wonderful - we came in when no other customers were inside and they struck up friendly conversation and were genuinely interested in what we had to say. The coffee here is awesome. Solid cold brew. My friend had the maple orange smoked latte, which I tried, and it was so unique and delicious. We tried two of the baked goods from the display case: banana chocolate muffin (so deliciously moist and not overly sweet) and the strawberry barley scone (unique and not too dense!) We learned that they get the pastries from Bakeshop, a local bakery. So hard to choose which one we wanted to try, but glad we got those two! Couldn't stay for long because we had plans to grab breakfast elsewhere, but I could spend hours in here just chilling because the interior is so spot on. Will most definitely be back next time I'm in Portland!
google avatar

Randy T.

Yelp
Having lived in downtown Portland for the last 5 years, I'm always on the hunt for a nice & cozy coffeeshop for those dreary rainy days. Decided to cross the river to the Buckman area and found this intimate place (their other location is on Division) on SE 12th. I went with one of the items on their seasonal menu, the blackberry walnut latte, and it was yummy! Seating can be limited, but they also have outdoor seating if the weather isn't too wet. I'll be back!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Pretty decent cup of coffee. Cool interior vibes with places to sit and relax. Friendly staff!
