Good Companions is an inviting and engaging coffeehouse in a newly renovated, original Oak Cliff home. It is near the newest additions to the Bishop Arts District off of tenth and bishop ave; it has its own parking lot, and it is easy to find street parking available as well. The Cold Brew was fantastic and the cost was an arts district average: $5 (don't forget the tip! Lily and Jason are amazing baristas!). They also serve natural wines, sandwiches, and other baked goods (no gf!)! Sarah, the manager, is an incredible creative with great vision for GC, the employees, and the Bishop Arts/Oak Cliff community. There is plenty of seating around its eclectic, coastal fireplace, as well as various seating throughout and on the umbrella-shaded deck. There is also a common patio area with abundant seating shared with a restaurant next door. It's beautiful and cozy and makes you want to stay a while! Free Wifi too! So bring a book or friend and grab a drink or two; you're gonna want to make this your new go-to spot!

The cutest little cafe there is. Decked in holiday cheer this time of the year, it was cosy and just what we were looking for. Unfortunately out of pour overs when we were here, we got an Americano and chai latte instead. The chai was a bit too sweet but they gave us extra hot water to balance it out.

Really cute place and a great add to the whole Bishop Arts Vibe! My husband and I went in today and ordered a regular latte and a drip. The latte tasted great, but unfortunately the drip was so bitter and acidic it was really undrinkable. Great vibes, unfortunately coffee needs work. Maybe we'll try again for some wine.

Super yummy coffee and pastries! The shop is inviting and cozy and the staff is very friendly. I got the Japanese cold brew and really enjoyed it! We tried the pecan roll and the blueberry bundt cake...both were great. I am happy to have this coffee shop in the neighborhood!

Good coffee and good vibes. Super cute and cozy house! The irony is that it’s called Good Companions after a family story about a cycling club, but we biked here and couldn’t find any bike parking! It would be great if that could be added.

Good Companions melds solid espresso, unique treats, and a rich, warm, and cozy environment into one lovely coffee shop. You can feel the juxtaposing fresh, natural and new interior against the nostalgic, bike club-loving matriarch on whom the shop was based on. Consider me a fan.

First time there. They had some live 4-song acoustic sets from local singer/song writers that were exceptional. The coffee was really good. The craft cocktails for the night were really well put together. We also had some "natural" wines there that night. Heavily organic wholesome, grape to bottle, no added sulfites wines that were unique and should be tried. The staff was super friendly. The barista, Hunter, was spot on. A really memorable experience and a great night. You gotta go!

This place is really cute, caught my eye when I was walking through Bishop Art a couple of weeks ago and had to stop back in. Their pastries are really good and small and cute. Drinks are efficiently and affectionately made. Big fan.
