Yelp
Great spot, in terms of space, atmosphere, concept and service. It's long been one of my favorite places to take people when I want to impress them with something a little different that's both delicious and down to earth.
Unfortunately, the evolution of the menu has lost me a little. There used to be multiple things I loved and wanted and had a hard time choosing between. Now, I'm lucky if there's one thing I really want, and I usually feel kinda "eh" about it once I've eaten it. The Chicken Williams sandwich tasted amazing, but the "pulled" chicken was actually cubed, making it almost impossible to eat. The malted pickles take over The Good One, their only burger, which seems to have gotten greasier with time. And they've long gotten rid of their chicken patty sandwich and their chickpea patty sandwich.
I don't know, man. I still like this place. The food IS good. It just... doesn't hit quite right for me anymore. But I do love the fries (get them with the sweet and spicy rub and the white cheddar cheese sauce for dipping) and the cocktails (the Apple Doesn't Fall Far is such a great seasonal supper) and, on occasion, the milkshakes.
Go for the vibe and expect good food. But if you'd fallen in love with past iterations of their menu, brace yourself for some disappointments in the change-ups.
