My book club met here this month. We met at 11am on a Sunday and had no problem fitting 7 of us at a corner booth/table meant for 5. There are about 6 low top tables as well as some bar style seats around the perimeter and high tables. If it’s a nice day, they have a really nice patio out front with probably 6 more tables. I think this location is pretty new. I’ve been to the one in SW before and this is on par. Good place to do some studying, reading, meet up for breakfast/coffee with people, escape the mall for a minute and rest with a donut…I had a scone and an herbal iced tea but everyone else got donuts - nobody had leftovers. Their mini donuts are really great for a “why pick only one?” Mood. I’m glad to see Good Company Doughnuts in DC! I missed them when I left Virginia 💕

Google
Truly great coffee shop a block behind the National Art Gallery and next to the Canadian Embassy. Pleasant atmosphere to kill time waiting for the 10:00 am open of the museums along the Mall. Small bites looked good, I couldn’t resist the Lemon Ginger Cream doughnut (it was my intent to just grab a coffee - I did, at first - but then went back for more!). The latte was great and so was the standard drip.

The food is delicious and the staff are very nice and wonderful. But menu descriptions seems to be very off. I ordered the Stella Pancakes with we’re supposed to be lemon ricotta with poached pears but I got buttermilk with 10 blueberries and 1 strawberry sliced thin. The pancakes were super flat too, not the thick and fluffy buttermilk one would expect. Also ordered the kids chicken tenders and for $8 I expected a bit more than 2 tiny tenders and 3 skinny carrot sticks

Google
Their donuts of the month are worth trying every month! Such creative flavors and vibrant colors. The donuts taste fresh and flavorful. I recommend ordering a "flight" of mini donuts (similar to a flight of beer). You get to sample six mini donuts for about $15. It's a fun experience and worth trying every month for the new seasonal flavors!

Loved the donuts! I especially love the mini-donuts because I love sampling different flavors but can’t eat a lot of sugar. Great service! Everyone was very nice to us, especially since we were unfamiliar with the spot. It was busy, which means it’s a popular spot. After trying the food, I can see why.

Google
Ok Google bourbon chicken soup is delicious! Creamy and flavorful. The mini donuts are perfect! Not too big, and filled with flavor! There are so many donut choices..... They all look delicious. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is casual with nice cafe seating options.

The best cafe I've been to during my 5-week stay across 5 states in the U.S. Definitely recommend getting The King's Hot Chocolate, very rich & heart-warming 🤎 The drink, the service, and the atmosphere are all amazing, even on a rainy day. Check out the photos below for my detailed review and I believe you would love to come here as well ✨ Good Company, thank you so much for the experience!

Google
The perfect place to stop off for breakfast while waiting for the museums to open. I had the Egg and Cheese with Bacon sandwich ($9) and Decaf Americano ($4.30). There's a large selection of breakfast and lunch items. The donuts looked fantastic, but I couldn't make up my mind which one to choose. Very nice and helpful staff. Located a couple of blocks from the Archives Metro and across the street from the National Gallery entrance.

Yelp
We stopped by for some breakfast before walking for the rest of the day. I had the egg and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel, a vanilla latte and half a bow tie. We sat in, so someone brought the food to us which was nice. There were a ton of seating options, but the place does fill up pretty quickly. The bow tie was sweet and soft even though it was siting out in display. The latte was a good size, I didn't finish it all and it did what it had to do. The star of the show for me was the egg and cheese sandwich. The bagel was nicely toasted and there was sea salt sprinkled on the eggs that made the sandwich pop for me.

Yelp
This was a dope little cafe to kickoff our walk and fuel up. It featured indoor and outdoor seating, with high tables, booths, and more. The staff was attentive while we figured out what we wanted from the menu, also helped us in figuring out it. They have doughnuts on display, a little bar like area for pick up, so the ambiance was very cool. I started out with the honey dip doughnut because the staff mention it was a standard doughnut but I wanted to see if I could taste any honey. I also ended up eating the bow tie which was glazed much better. After waiting a little while for the food to be made fresh, our drinks and then sandwiches came out. The medium for the drinks were huge! Though the glass itself was slightly thin. For the sandwich I got the egg and cheese on a croissant ($2) and bacon ($4). It was a well put together and cheesy sandwich but very much was centered. That means I ate a good bit of crescent before I got to everything else. The sandwich had crushed peppers flakes also but was under salted and peppered if at all. Now I will say once I was able to get full bites of it all, great sandwich! The crescent also could've probably been toasted 15-20 seconds less as it was approaching burnt.

Yelp
Stellar Viet iced coffee with just a hint of sweetness. Nicely scrambled eggs with hot chopped bacon - easy to eat on the go. And the donuts are to die for. Get a miniature. They're more than enough. Friendly staff, speedy service. Entrance is within the Hopkins building on Pennsylvania.

Yelp
The staff here make this place special. They always are so welcoming and it feels like "home". The seating area is great and even has a small bar for the "coffee" area. The "modern feel" and decor makes this place a good sit down to just enjoy or also do some work. Wi-fi can be a bit spotty or slow at times as there is an open network with the Hopkins school next door. We ordered Steak & Potatoes which came with Asparagus. The Chef was kind of enough to split the meal in half on two (2) plates. The NY Strip was seasoned and cooked well and paired well the potatoes/vegetables. If you want a "hearty" meal, this is for you. The baristas do a great job using Intelligentsia Coffee Beans.

Yelp
I am a frequent customer of that large coffee chain with the round green logo, but appreciate competition and alternatives. This is an excellent cafe choice to stop by for a coffee or a bite to eat in a relaxing atmosphere. They have much more than donuts and coffee from their expansive menu. This is a fairly new location that opened and I think The Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is expanding in the DMV. It is clean, has plenty of seating inside and outside, and has friendly employees. The gentleman that took my order was especially nice and was so genuine in his warm welcome to me being a first time guest. The coffee was wonderful and I enjoyed the unique maple bacon doughnut. I don't live real close to this location, but I will make it a point to walk or take a short bike ride to visit every now and then.

Yelp
Great location, amazing options, and very friendly service! I wasn't a fan of the donuts, but they are all so cute with fun flavors. Pro tip: warm 'em up! The food has been hit or miss for me ($$$ ouch!), but the drinks keep me coming back and looking for the hits with the food.

Yelp
I stopped by because I came to see the cherry blossoms and wanted a small related treat. I didn't realize how great this cafe is for their location. If you're on the mall looking for an affordable breakfast, lunch, or picnic, this is the place to go! They have tons of donuts in great flavors. The specialty flavors change every month and there were over 8 different choices so everyone can pick something good. The cherry blossom donut had a great tangy flavor, was light, and wasn't too sweet. They offer tons of drinks but also breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and salads, and food for a picnic like charcuterie boards. They have indoor and outdoor seating so even on busy days you should be able to find a place to sit. Great location!

Yelp
The staff was very kind and friendly. The donuts were fresh and delicious and the breakfast burrito was huge. My husband and I split it and were stuffed. The coffee also was good. I had an iced vanilla latte.

Yelp
This local chain has popped up downtown next to the Canadian embassy (suck it, Tim Horton's). Their selections are impressive and they do a great job of offering special dietary options. For cherry blossom season, they had both a non-vegan cherry blossom donut and a vegan one with vanilla cream and a cherry glaze on top. I experienced no sense of disappointment in having gotten the vegan one; the cream was rich and the exterior crisped nicely. A London Fog was kind of blah; not as good as whatever drink I ordered at the other location of this chain I previously visited. They have a bigger menu with some cooked food options as well. Restrooms were available with a code, and I was surprised at the size of this indoor space relative to its walkability to various downtown sights. There aren't as many really good options downtown as there should be; it's always been a lot of touristy stuff. But this is a good option.

Yelp
This place is nearby to all the museums - it is a short walk away but doable. It is a very cutesy spot for breakfast/lunch. I ordered the avocado turkey melt and it has a special sauce on it which was a little spicy. It was delicious! It didn't come with a side so I did order separately some potatoes and then a mini doughnut for dessert. To drink I did have a berry smoothie - wasn't the best but was pretty good, light and a little tart. They did have restrooms here but you have to ask for the code FYI. My husband got a latte - he said it was a little too bitter but was good overall. He also got a cinnamon roll and he said it was delicious. The staff was super friendly and had great customer service ! The person who was at the register when we ordered did seem to be new i'm assuming because when I asked what was on the sandwich she did not know - she did have to ask other staff. This made a little of a wait as it was busy at the time. Overall, it was a good time and we would stop by again!

Yelp
Good spot for sandwiches and unique donuts. They have breakfast and lunch items too. I came around lunchtime so I got the chicken pesto panini, which was delicious. This is also a great spot for Johns Hopkins University students and staff given it is right next door. There is plenty of seats both inside and outside the store.

Yelp
Cute, simple, tasty cafe close to museums. Stopped on here before a walk and was pleasently surprised. They had some really good healthy breakfast options (and traditional options too) and a large variety of doughnuts. I love that they all came in mini size too. If you are out on the mall, this is a great option for breakfast or lunch.

Yelp
Oh the yummy smells that take over when you walk in! Sooo many flavors! Oh my gosh. Decisions were brutal, cause we couldn't order every single one. They weren't as fresh as one would hope, but still soft enough. Cherry blossom was really good and unique! But mocha was by far the best one!!! Will for sure be back to try more!

Yelp
This may the closest cafe to the National Mall that's open past 5pm. Located inside the Bloomberg Center, this local doughnut shop sells all the usual doughnut flavors and seasonal ones. They are pretty big and tasty! They also sell coffee, grab and go items, and more. There's plenty of seating, restrooms, etc.

Yelp
really friendly service and great lattes! strawberries and cream latte doesn't have that artificial strawberry taste that can so often ruin a good latte. I love that they offer mini doughnuts because sometimes you just want a smaller sweet treat. the blueberry cheesecake donut was excellent, just sweet enough. the blueberry jelly inside matched a regular jelly doughnut while being reminiscent of something more elevated. I wish they could have put the doughnuts in a different bag because the cream just got messed up a bit. Didn't try the food but the prices seemed pretty expensive for a cafe so can't speak on anything outside of the doughnuts.

Yelp
A GREAT addition to the Penn Quarter! Food and service is outstanding. The bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich is delicious, the quesadillas, too. Good Company's chef is talented. The donuts are worth every calorie; however, they make "mini" ones so you may feel a little less guilty. The coffee drinks are always perfect. At the risk of adding a negative point (note: I rate GC 5-stars), the roast beef is not something I'd order again. The problem is, everything is so good, I unfairly expected roast beef that was roasted in house. Finally, it's a very comfortable, stylish, welcoming space which makes we want to always "dine-in." Good Company is Great Company!

Yelp
Really cute interior, big selection of donuts and food as well as drinks. Food is on the pricier side, but all really good. Got an iced coffee and it had great flavor. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Hot chocolate fit for a king, food fit for your taste buds! Amazing food, credible selection of donuts, beautiful view of Pennsylvania Avenue. Do you want?

Yelp
Stopped by Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe and had a cherry donut with a cup of coffee - simple, but delicious. The donut was fresh and flavorful, and the coffee hit the spot. Great location too, right on Pennsylvania Ave, just a short walk from the museums and the U.S. Capitol. Perfect little stop for a quick treat in DC.

Yelp
Comfortable place with good sandwiches and very large salads. Friendly and quick. I haven't tried the doughnuts yet but they look amazing

Yelp
Randomly stopped by and got the matcha strawberry and maple donuts. Both were amazing and I particularly thought that the matcha strawberry had a perfect balance of flavors. One of my favorite donuts that's I've ever had! Had very friendly service as well :)

Yelp
Great service and doughnuts! Also really like the interior space. Highly recommend the strawberry doughnut (not too sweet) and the chai latte.

Yelp
I lived this place so much we went there for coffee and doughnuts twice in 2 days. I'm kinda a doughnut fiend, and these were the best I've ever had. Yum. Wish there was a location near me.

Yelp
It was complete mayhem when I was there (but in a good way: Both a huge marathon and a huge political demonstration were taking place around the Capitol area. So the coffee shop was completely overrun. I felt bad for the poor barristas who were working furiously to try to keep up with demand. The place had many, many doughnut options, but also a large number of other things to eat. No fan of doughnuts, I still thought it would be borderline unseemly to eat something other than doughnuts in a doughnut place, so I ordered the "coffee cake" one. I was impressed that they served on a ceramic plate despite the total craziness of the day. The staff were incredibly nice, so I tipped them very generously. They went out of their way to help me survive the long line, especially when I wanted to order my second coffee and found the cue too daunting to try. Apparently there are several Good Company Doughnuts in the area, but only one in DC proper.

Yelp
Super nice people working there! Asked what donuts were best and he gave me a line up... they did not disappoint! So good

Maxine V.

Yelp
So expensive, we got two sandwiches and two smoothies for 55 dollars. Quality was good and restaurant was clean, but so so pricy.
