Good Day Deli

A special brunch for two yesterday at this hidden gem of a restaurant. The setting is beautiful in the walled garden of the old convent. We were made to feel welcome and served most graciously by Kellie - one of the most pleasant servers we've encountered in a long time. Our food was amazing. We shared a starter - a seared broccoli, ricotta and honey dish which was so fresh and delicious. Followed by Turkish eggs and smoked mackerel. Both excellent. Fabulous desserts of lemon tartlet and a toffee popcorn creation topping it all off. The organic wines on offer were obviously chosen to compliment the dishes on the menu and were perfect. Our bill was a little on the high side but you get what you pay for! We were more than happy with everything and will most definitely return.

Our absolute FAVOURITE brunch place in town! Cozy vibes, city view, amazing food, tasty desserts… This places offers everything. Food: Their breakfast selection is soo good. They offer plenty of healthy options. We had Kimchi fried eggs and Chili Turkish eggs. Bith the dishes were absolutely flavourful and tasted perfect. Along side, we also had kimchi fries for the table. I will definitely recommend having their house made chai. It’s brewed for 16hours and is blended with organic milk. It has abundance of flavours, cardamom and cinnamon being the most prominent of all. Their mocha was very strong in flavours as well so we absolutely enjoyed it. For the dessert, we had Pistachio and Cherry Paris Brest. This was the best choice ever. Ambience: PERFECT. I found the place to be perfectly nestled in greenery and overlooking the city. The places has big glass windows and I feel it is the most charming part as it overlooks the Cork city. Gorgeous and beautiful indeed. Inside is lit up with cozy lights and you also have an option to sit outdoors in the greenery. I would say this places offers EVERYTHING in perfect quantity. Service: Excellent, friendly, helpful, and quick.

Thank you to the Good Day Delay team for welcoming us! This restaurant is such a charming place! The first thing you'll notice is its cozy and intimate ambiance. It's a small yet magnificent spot, so booking in advance is essential. To start, I ordered a cappuccino (€4.60). It was rich and creamy, making it the perfect way to kick off the day! I ordered the KIA Orana Apple Bruschetta (€16.95): Whipped Ardsallagh Goat Cheese with Caramelized Mealgulla Apples, Toasted Almonds, Fresh Parsley Pesto, and Leafy Greens on Sourdough. The combination of flavors was delightful, with the creamy goat cheese and sweet apples perfectly complementing each other. Based on my friend's recommendation and my hunger, I also ordered an additional dish: the Smoked Trout & Asparagus (€21). This dish featured Goatsbridge Smoked Trout, Lisheen Greens Grilled Asparagus with Buttered Chard, Topped with Two Organic Poached Eggs, House Hollandaise, and Dukkah on Sourdough Toast. It was absolutely delicious! The eggs with the hollandaise sauce were amazing, and the asparagus was crispy and fresh. Plus, the edible flowers added a lovely touch. At the end of our meal, when paying the bill, the waiter forgot to add the smoked trout & asparagus dish. I was honest and pointed out the mistake. Given the exceptional service, the attentiveness of the staff, and the high quality of the food, I felt it was only right to ensure everything was accounted for. I highly recommend booking a table at this incredible restaurant/cafe to enjoy their delicious food and wonderful atmosphere!

Good service. Fresh and good quality food. Good views. A place to go for breakfast with everything that includes good service. Good quality coffee, if you are demanding and enjoy coffee, here you can enjoy an authentic espresso, one of the few in Cork. It's a little expensive but it's understandable for the quality, it's worth coming back.

Good Day Deli is located in the heart of Cork City but hidden in a convent yard where there are exhibits of Nano Nagle. It is so secluded you would actually never think that you are in a vibrant city. The gardens are just beautiful with an array of wild flowers & serenity. We sat outside to have lunch with a glass of beautiful wine. The staff were unobtrusive but efficient. We had a stunning summer salad of green peaches & Burrata which is made on a local farm. The whole experience was outstanding. Do not miss.

Expectations were possibly too high.... But I was super disappointed by the dry Lamingtons (which I have fond memories of from Australia). But otherwise was good. Mains were interesting, sustainable, well presented and healthy. Plus beamish cake was good. The bruschetta with caramelized apples was good. The fish tacos were the biggest disappointment (second even to the lamingtons). The tortillas themselves were stale and had a high mayo base. The fish was excellently battered and gorgeous. Would recommend removing the "taco" title and turning it into a fish and chips / salad w/ slaw. Because something further from a Mexican taco hard to find. But based on the Irish rave reviews...perhaps it's okay for the audience. Anyway, lovely cafe and will be back for the gardens. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Also, the paprika fries are the absolute winner overall. The lemon roulade looked gorgeous....but didn't try it. So did the pancakes w/ poached pears. Lots of options

Had the most amazing brunch there today! The location is beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious! The menu is rather short but everything sounded great, so it was actually hard to decide. I tried the 'hibiscus poached pear pancakes' and they were to die for! My friend had the vegan trio and a vegan cake afterwards and was more than happy about it as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. All in all, I highly recommend this beautiful café!

I've heard so many things about this place and it really didn't disappoint. From the gorgeous location, to the beautiful seating (inside and outside). The food is so thoughtfully presented and the staff are lovey, too. The menu constantly changes so you just really can't go there enough!

This is the best kept secret in cork. I highly recommend a visit. The food is absolutely gorgeous the location is 5 star and the staff are amazing.
