Why the No-Tipping Restaurant Model Failed | Eater

"An East Harlem bakery and business incubator whose workforce-development leader argues that the U.S. historically underpays the real cost of food and that diners should be willing to pay more to create a more equitable system that fairly compensates workers and sustains businesses." - Kathryn Campo Bowen

How Tech Bros Fell in Love With Baking Bread | Eater

"A nonprofit bakery and training program in East Harlem that focuses on placing low-income and immigrant women into professional baking roles, with staff who advocate for trainees when confronting employer assumptions about women’s physical abilities and career opportunities in commercial baking." - Dayna Evans

Stumbled upon this while waiting for an appointment! I got a chai latte, reasonable pricing for a big size, very fast I did not wait long. Nice atmosphere and there is some seating and counter space by the front! The food looks incredible, lots of baked goods and breakfast/lunch options! Very nice workers, seems to be a local fav!

I stopped by for a quick bite with my sister and we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy environment. The bagels paired with hot chocolate were the perfect treat for a chilly day. Its inviting atmosphere won us over and we will definitely be coming here more often :)

Nice finding on our way to Central Park, when visiting NYC for the first time. Good food, nice staff and a lot of options. Smoothie and Omelettes were delicious 🥰

So glad this bakery opened right across from my house ! Their cherry cheese danish is my absolute favorite, so soft & the perfect balance of sweet & tart. Their iced coffee is pretty good too

I stopped by on 7/3/25 in search of a pecan pie. They had pecan tarts so I decided to buy two. I'm Soo glad I did... It was delicious 🧡💛. Actually I've purchased soup from here about a year ago, chicken noodle and lentil soup. They both were good. I'll definitely be buying from here again.

Hmmmmm hmmmmmm good!! After you order what I did you will also. The blueberry cheesecake bar was good ( wished for more blueberries since I am a blueberry 🫐 lover 🤣. The pecan brownies were good and also purchased the green smoothie and ice chia latte. If I lived in NY I would definitely frequent Good Eats BakeShop regularly. The lady who helped me was so nice, I went in and asked for her most popular items I should try, since it was my first time. She even came on the other side of the counter and pointed out all the sweets and recommended some to me. I appreciate her kindness and smile. She greeted me and made me feel welcomed. I apologize for not getting the lady’s name. Thanks Good Eats BakeShop for helping to make my time in NY memorable with good treats!

Yelp
Highly recommend Good Eats Bakeshop. Nice staff and welcoming. Ended up in East Harlem this afternoon during what started as a simple morning stroll with my mom. We don't live in the area, but decided to cross Central Park just to walk and before we knew it, morning turned into afternoon. While walking through East Harlem on 106th and Lexington, my mom and I came across the cutest little spot Good Eats Bakeshop. They're fairly new to the neighborhood, and since we were starting to get hungry, we decided to check it out before continuing our walk. The place is cozy, clean, and really well-kept. Their menu has a nice variety coffee, lattes, paninis, wraps, salads, juices, water, and of course, baked goods. We ordered two smoothies and three baked treats. The smoothies were exactly how we like them not too sweet and they give you the option of milk, oat milk, or water as a base. The cheese danish was fresh and delicious, and my mom's marble chocolate slice was incredibly moist and full of flavor. Definitely a great little gem if you're in the area.

Yelp
Cute and semi affordable bakery. The yogurt parfait is delicious and perfect, the coffee is always good. Honestly everything is pretty delicious for the price and portion size. The service is pretty fast; if u order online it takes a bit longer imo

Yelp
Stopped in to kill time before my daughters bomba y plena class. We got coffees and pastries. The cappuccino was made to perfection! The croissants was big and fluffy, the guava cheese danish was good and their cake pops are gigantic. The server was very nice and patient while we decided what we wanted. Place was very clean calm.

Yelp
Stopped in for a fruit tart, for I already hit La Tropiezienne (another french bakery in East Harlem) but I always wanted to see what Good Eats had, and it didnt disapppoint. Customer service was A1, and the tart was fresh good.

Yelp
Literally the best bakery in my neighborhood. Cute, quaint, clean. The food, the drinks, the hospitality is top tier! Not crazy expensive and wholesome ingredients!

Yelp
Amazing bakery-can't stop going there! Food is amazing!-A few tables-great to meet with friends for coffee, and a pastry... They also have bagels and breakfast foods! Customer Service is amazing... I called before I come in and they will always hold something for me! Love this place, it's what the neighborhood needed

Yelp
This bakery, opened in October 2023, is a great and much needed addition to the neighborhood. Everything I've tried there is delicious, fresh, and high quality. They have a big variety of cakes, cookies, pastries, croissants, cannoli, tarts, etc. Their coffee is strong and freshly made, even an espresso maker. Counter and table seating, too. The service is very friendly and helpful. It's such a great place, I have to watch out that I don't gain weight, asI keep coming back almost every day!

Yelp
Baked goods are decent and staff pleasant. Very inviting store. 7/13 shop closed. Is this temporary or did they go out of business?

Shereka G.

Yelp
I want to love this place, I really do but over $5 for a large hot coffee!! Just go for the baked goods!
