Good Eats "BBQ" Chattanooga

Delicious barbecue at great prices. Service was very friendly. We got a brisket plate with green beans and baked beans, and a burger. It was all very good and flavored perfectly. Not too sweet, salty, or oily. The beans were my favorite (both green and baked). Come here if you’re looking for good bbq in Chattanooga!

Brisket plate with coleslaw and baked beans. The brisket was well done, nicely smoky throughout. Past the smoke it was light on its own flavor. I'm a smoker myself and am very adamant that meat should have its own flavor, and I often find this to be the feature that lacks in brisket and pulled pork from businesses. It may be in the seasoning, or the cow.. but it's true here. Smoke is also typically so weak you can't taste it.. but Good Eats shined bright on this front! The sauce made up for the seasoning though, it made an outstanding pairing to the Brisket, and while i wouldn't recommend it without it, with it I'd keep coming back for more! The baked beans were tasty. The coleslaw was a bit of a mystery.. i couldn't tell what it wanted to be(vinegar vs dressing).. by itself not so great imo, but on a Brisket sandwich it went nicely. Added a little tang and some crunch. I was sad there wasn't a sweet tea option. But sometimes hard decisions have to be made. Finally the service... the folks working here were awesome! Friendly, outgoing, helpful, kind. The type of people that call your name when you come back. You walk in and feel welcome.. it's a vibe missing from a lot of places lately, and I loved it. I'd go back and try more of their menu anytime I'm in Chattanooga!

We happened upon this unassuming little place the second of our three nights in town, and wish we had found it our first night so we could have eaten there all three nights instead of only two! The ribs and the rib tips are amazing, as were 5 out of the 5 sides we tried. Besides great food, the people running the place were so friendly and wonderful. Do not go to Chattanooga, through Chattanooga, or even close to Chattanooga, without visiting Good Eats.

The brisket nachos were delicious! Loved that they were on Doritos. The pulled chicken was just a bit dry. We did take out and if I had grabbed more sauce it probably would have been fine!

This was the perfect brisket and sides! My wife loves brisket, got a pound and 2 large sides for around 35 bucks. The green beans had smoked turkey in it and spices. Let me tell you nothing will top it. The mac and cheese got the wife approval which speaks volumes to her critiques of others in the past. Now the brisket was made by the pit master with soul and care. You could tell it was done slowly and done right!!!! First time in Chattanooga, and this is our spot y moving forward

Well, my first time here as well as in Chattanooga, TN. Hubby had heard of the spot from friends a year ago. If you a scaredy-cat tourist, the place will look sketchy as heck. I'm from NY and living in GA for over 8 years I learned about the best establishments, be them hole in the wall places! Anyway, you pull up and chef outside on the grill, smoking it up! When you get to the door it reminds me of one of those old liquor stores you ain't got no business being in as a kid. Push in the door and that BBQ small hits your belly hard. It's a small spot they got about 4 tables inside but it's cozy. Menu looks legit. Our family 3 had a variety of selections hot dog and mac n cheese for the kid, I had the wings, green beans and slaw and hubby had a pork sandwich baked beans and potatoes salad!. I was able to get the green beans because they use turkey. I was salivating but disappointed. They were peppery and bland, but baby my slaw and wings were finger licking the whole time good. The wings were a little tiny but VERY tasteful. The kid ate all of his food and he a picky eater, plus he don't eat everyone's mac n cheese. Let's just say no morsel was left behind. My hubby said everything was good he meant to get me the potato salad and him the coleslaw his error my pleasure. He don't eat potato salad but decided to try it, why he couldn't stop eating it! Then, he had the nerve to ask these people, " who made the potato salad?" Glad we sat and stayed and enjoyed it all, they seem to be a family business giving the business with this BBQ. The bonus was customer service was all that and then some!

This was positively bussing. My girlfriend and I enjoyed chatting with the pit boss and staff. Good vibes all around. The pulled pork and the ribs did not disappoint. The price point cannot be beat for the quality of this bbq. Finger licking good, hmmmhmmmm.

The best BBQ I have ever eaten in my life. My husband wanted BBQ, and I obliged by coming to this Google searched site. I'm a chef, going out and finding a good place to satisfy my palate is not easy, “Good Eats BBQ Chattanooga” was the exception! Don't be carried away by the appearance of the place, let yourself be served by the kindness of its owners and the delicious food prepared with Love. The Food, Service and Attention are A+. Super recommended!

My sister found this AMAZING BBQ place on Yelp last night after adventuring around the riverfront area of Chattanooga. Oh my gosh... am I grateful she found this little gem on Yelp! This is a family run business--the food is MOUTH WATERING! Hands down the best brisket I have ever had. Delicious does not begin to describe the flavor and quality. I will be flying home to California in a few days, but I will be dreaming of this bbq for a long time! It's my #1 reason to return to Chattanooga, seriously! I had the brisket over a baked potato. We also tried the bbq baked beans (delish!), potato salad (some of the best I've ever had), and macaroni and cheese. Wow. And everyone who worked there--they are all family--are so kind and welcoming! They are thrilled you are there to enjoy their food! Soooooo good. Try it!

I'm from out of town and I wanted some BBQ. My GPS said I was 3 blocks away so I went. The smoker was outside and it smelled great. Never looked at the menu as I was hoping they had some Burnt Ends. These were the pork variety and they tasted as good as they smelled. Got the Mac n Cheese and it was yummy as well as the Baked Beans. The service was excellent and I left full and happy. The inside is small with just 4 tables so it is possible that you may have to eat in the car. Not sure if most of their business is take out or not.

Do anyone know why they just suddenly closed down with no warningI really loved their food‼

Fabulous ribs, brisket, Mac n cheese, and slaw. Family owned business, and run by a veteran. Just opened about a year ago. Got to chat with the family while I waited for my excellent food to be prepared. Everyone was welcoming. Food was the best I've had in a long time. I'll be dreaming about those ribs as I fly home. Totally worth a trip. I highly recommend you support these wonderful folks.

Stopped off in Chattanooga on a long drive and found this place and will be coming back every chance I get. The bbq here is simple but lovingly executed exceptionally. Some bbq goes for heavy sauce or rely on texture alone. Good Eats BBQ gives you a simple spice with a quality sauce and a beautiful barbecue char. If you enjoy mountains of high-flavored sauces to cover a basic, well-flavored and cooked bbq - don't come here.

Ribs for breakfast! My hubby and I went for a late night walk and passed Good Eats. We went inside and asked for a menu. We were very politely told that their were closed. Hey I get it 9:00 on a Friday night and I'd want to go home too! We took a quick picture of the menu and off we went. The owner was outside and said asked why we left. We said you're closing and he responded wait I don't want you to leave without trying my rest ribs. We didn't want to keep anyone but he insisted! Well he handed us each two giant saucy ribs and said eat these in your way home. We thanked him and did just that! Here we were walking down the street eating a delicious ribs. Hands and face covered in incredible tasting sauce..... singing this man's praises. Now that is some outstanding service. He didn't need to do that but I am going to tell everyone about it! That's a great way to run an establishment! We each ate one rib and my husband ate the other two for breakfast! These ribs are tender, flavorful and have just a little kick. We love them and we will be back for more!

Food was great. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful! We had the Brisket nachos, ribs, and brisket and everything was delicious!! The place is small and has 3-4 tables to sit but definitely check them out even if it is takeout. You won't be disappointed with the food!

Great service and Really good bbq ribs. Only complaint is number of ribs that come on the plate. Baked beans were great too. Will definitely go back.

WOW! WOW! WOW! This is hands down the BEST BBQ I've ever had in my life. I've lived in multiple states and traveled the world. There is no comparison. I ordered the Turkey leg, mac n' cheese and baked beans combo. My mouth is watering again just remembering my meal. My husband ordered the brisket. I did my best not to eat his meal too. I was literally dancing in my seat with the biggest, smokiest, fall off the bone, tender turkey leg in my right hand and the left hand in the air praising Jesus for bringing us to this little gem. The staff is incredibly friendly, engaging and like I said, the food is LIFE CHANGING!! It's a must stop!!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST BBQ IN CHATTANOOGA AND PROBABLY TN! My husband kids and I loved the food and the establishment was very very friendly kind people. 100% Recommend. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

This place was amazing. I'm from out of town, and I'd just spent half an hour trying to find out a reasonably priced takeout option that my kids would eat and found this place. Excellent price, amazing food, and it was neat to see them grilling my food out back when I pulled up to collect my takeout order. Would definitely eat at again.

Amazing food and atmosphere. We had the rib tips plate and pulled pork plate. The food was perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. Will visit again the next time we are in the area.

Went there on our way home from a road trip back to Florida and I tell you it's the best barbecue I've had in Tennessee by far the ribs were huge and smoky and delicious the loaded bake potato was just godly on the flavor it had the staff was nice and showed me recommendations to try since been there my first time when we ever come back up we are stopping here again
