This has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had with Good Eggs. I was promised a refund and clear communication within 48 hours — it’s been several days, and I’ve received nothing. On top of that, my referral credits were completely removed from my account without any explanation or notice. It’s unacceptable for a company that promotes itself as a trusted local food platform to treat loyal customers this way. What’s even more concerning is that I’ve seen many other customers online reporting the same issue, which suggests this is not an isolated case. I strongly urge Good Eggs to take immediate action, issue refunds to all affected customers, and restore the missing credits. Ignoring these problems will only damage customer trust even further.

This company spreads fake referral promotions to get people to place orders, but they never really deliver anything to any customers. After you place orders, they will send messages to you saying they missed you in their final delivery attempt, while actually you are at home the whole time/make a clear note on the order saying they can leave your package unattended. Or they will say you violated their policy so they will cancel your order, but they never explain what policy is violated. In their messages they say some customer service people will contact you and you can also contact them. But actually they never respond. Even they say they canceled your order, they just leave it there and never refund you. Obviously they are using this fake marketing to steal people's personal information, names, addresses and especially the credit card information. Please be alert and avoid using this company!!!

i made an order but it was never delivered. when i tried to contact good eggs, i got no reply. my card was charged by the merchant so i had to dispute from the bank to get my money back. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!

I've been using Good Eggs for a few years now, and it's become a reliable option when I want fresh produce and local staples without making an extra trip. I really appreciate how I can get quality local items like Durst asparagus, Harry's Berries, or Hodo tofu without having to go to the farmer's market or a specialty store. It feels good to support smaller farms and producers, and I like knowing where my food is coming from. There have been a few minor issues like a missing item like once or twice, but customer service has been helpful in getting me a credit or replacement. Overall, it's an easy way to shop that fits how I like to eat.

We had a horrible experience with an order for Thanksgiving in 2024. Good Eggs is not dependable the day before a holiday - this is not the first time they have messed up a Thanksgiving-related delivery. Customers should not order from Good Eggs for any important holidays or celebrations - there is no level of assurance. They will return your money but they can never make up for the inconvenience, disappointment and potential scrambling you have to do to find replacement items. Our order was to be delivered between the 5 and 9PM window on Wed 11/27, but we later discovered that the order did not arrive until 11:50 PM. We received several update texts from 3 different cell phone numbers about their being delayed. We finally went to bed around 11PM after telling Good Eggs to cancel the order as it is too late. The next morning we received a text that the groceries were delivered - but they were nowhere to be found. We searched everywhere around our apartment building. Another text later sent a photo of the groceries - the incompetent driver left it unattended at a different apartment building (next to our building) at 11:50PM with some of the items visibly laying on top of the box (begging to be stolen)! I specifically indicated in my order that the groceries are not be left unattended (it is an option during the ordering process) because our neighborhood is known for packages getting stolen. We did not see that text sooner as it got filtered as junk. Why was Good Eggs using 3 different cell numbers? We had already left town when that last text came to our attention. It is a certainty that someone enjoyed our order given the area is known for packages getting stolen. I demanded a refund which I was given - no apologies from this business where I was a customer for several years. Don't promote your Thanksgiving or holiday offerings if you do not have the capacity or infrastructure to handle the orders - you clearly do not have it together. We could have shopped elsewhere for the items we wanted to bring to our destination. This last experience shopping at Good Eggs was a waste of time and a source of needless stress during a holiday.

I've been a GoodEggs customer since the beginning and stuck with them through their expansion and contraction, their shift from a "farmer's market" delivery service to a full-fledged specialty service, their incredible Thanksgiving fiasco, the pandemic - all of it. I try and try to overcome the problems they have, but I think I am just done. The quality of their products is fine, nice even. But ultimately they are a service business - with a focus on delivery. And they just cannot get their delivery system right. Things come late, smashed, wet from melted ice packs, peaches bruised at the bottom of a box. Some frozen and canned items have dirt on them as if their warehouses must go uncleaned. Everything needs to be about the people who work there and the delivery-hand in hand. I cannot help but think that employees are not happy, because of the way things are thrown in boxes and delivered. I hate complaining but I always complain to them because I want them to get better, but they don't. I get the same message over and over again about how they care. And yes, now tipping. If you pay your employees well and cultivate a good working community where people feel appreciated, I have to think that these problems wouldn't exist. Now, I have to contend with the idea that if I don't tip, delivery service will be worse?! I suppose I will miss the convenience of it all, and some of the products, but I think I will just do without.

Despite having great fresh products, their delivery is absolutely horrible. For the price you pay, you should get on time delivery. For the last year there has been an issue with EVERY delivery. I'm done. They have lost a very loyal customer.

I've been ordering groceries from Good Eggs for the past few years, and it has continued to improve in all areas and leave me so grateful for this service. The produce is top notch in quality and quantity. Once I figured out my favorite farms, I was able to get all of my fruit from Good Eggs without needing to go to farmers markets anymore. I continue to be surprised by how full the pints and bunches of veggies can get with my orders! I also like how clean the produce is (it's so easy to get moldy produce from grocery stores), and I'm guessing that's due to how fresh and direct from the farms the produce is. And maybe Good Eggs keeps their facilities much cleaner. Errors happen very rarely, and when they do, the customer service is always very happy to tailor a solution for me. They definitely try even harder to make sure that the mistake doesn't happen again. I'm not even a member (yet), but I do feel like one already. I can see that from the constant improvements they make in delivery times, packaging, etc. And they will always pick up my boxes and ice packs with my next order. This is all why I can continue to place Good Eggs orders almost weekly and be confident that I will get what I want and the service that I pay for. By the way, Good Eggs sometimes posts discount codes on their Instagram. I also regularly see items on sale.

I was a loyal Good Eggs customer for many years. Slowly their service started to slip. It started with the frozen foods. They were improperly packed and arrived at my house half frozen. Multiple exchanges with customer service dud nothing to resolve the matter. So I decided to order only cold foods and non-perishables, then the cold foods started arriving warm because they were badly packed. Again, rounds of refunds and apologies and promises to review their shipping practices lead nowhere. So I decided to order only non-perishables. Tonight was the last straw. My box never came, despite repeated assurances that it wad on its way. I waited till 9 pm, then gave up. They offered me $20 for my trouble. I give up. Their products are good, but don't expect them to be frozen, cold or even delivered.

Groceries are great. Producer is wonderful. But I can barely bring my groceries in becuz the boxes are overpacked so much so that they are too heavy for me. This week I couldn't put my fingers in the handles becuz of overpacking. I have complained multiple times with no solution. Every week is the same. All it takes is one more box.....

The quality of the produce has noticeably declined. Items often arrive either underripe or already old and starting to mold. On top of the high prices, there are added service fees, a "good job" fee, and a delivery fee. Altogether, it's just not worth the cost anymore.

Cannot deliver at all!!! They have time to review the true bad ratings but don't have time to process refunds to the customers!!! The most disgusting company I have ever seen!!!

A scam, please avoid. I ordered food but never get it delivered. The text message never has replies and my whole money is lost.

Do not buy an egift card from Good Eggs! They will take your money and not deliver. On Sunday September 21 I purchased a $500 gift card for a friend whose husband is very ill. The $500 was immediately charged to my credit card. I entered the correct email for delivery to my friend, and she has yet to receive it 48 hours later!! And yes, she did check her spam folder. Good eggs also did not send me a receipt as promised, but they did charge my credit card immediately. When I contacted customer service on Sunday I received a generic text from a bot that someone would contact me within 48 hours but no one did. DO NOT USE GOOD EGGS unless you want to throw money away and get ripped off!!!

I feel the quality of the products have gone down. Initially everything was wonderful. The salads were fresh and the fruits and vegetables were relatively fresh. Lately when I have ordered, I have gotten mediocre items. I'm not sure I will be ordering from them anymore.

I've tried SO SO many times asking them to deliver to my door and they just can't follow directions. I don't mind paying for a premium service but why am I paying an extra 20$ each delivery (on top of their exorbitant prices) when I still have to grab everything from the lobby and walk up the stairs myself? It's time to look into Whole Foods delivery.

Let me just say that the quality of the produce, the friendliness and efficiency of the customer service are all top notch. We love good eggs and even pay for the monthly subscription ($30/m) but the new tipping line: awful. The beauty of your service, its real differentiator for me was that it wasn't "on me" to make sure that your workers were paid fairly. It's onerous, annoying and bad for your brand to make the customer worry about tipping -- and more so, to make it mandatory with a .50 cent minimum! To be clear: I use your service specifically because you have made a point about being a good employer. You are not a gig work service and I love that! I am happy to pay more for a premium service. But I do not like that ambiguity the tip line adds. Increase prices across the board for all I care -- I bet you could bake in more revenue and pass it on to your workers -- but get rid of the tipping.

Good Eggs...I loathe to write this review. You guys must know how much I adore you but... I've been a customer with you for as long as you've been open. I've seen you go through many changes in terms of how you operate. Last year I bought the newly offered (and expensive) delivery membership. I felt good about this purchase, thinking it was a smart way to ensure employees would have another source of revenue. One thing I've always loved is the lack of ambiguity due to no tipping. Adding in a tip line is such a moral turnoff and goes against your original ethos in which you stated that you took care of your employees and therefore there was no need for a tip. However, in my most recent order I noticed a new feature: a place to add a tip. Please do away with the tipping feature. It makes me feel mistrust for your company, as if your workers are not being compensated fairly and that the onus is on me to make sure they are. Just bake the cost into the products. This will eliminate variability on your end and create a more transparent shopping experience for your customers. If you want a way for customers to show extra appreciation, perhaps add a seasonal category where users can opt to "add a delivery driver gift" or something of the sort. The tip line cheapens your brand and frankly makes you look greedy. On the positive side of things, you guys continue to do a fabulous job of making things right when orders go even slightly wrong. This does not go unnoticed - my family very much appreciates your commitment to customer service. I very much hope you reconsider the tip line and instead find a more transparent and consistent manner by which to ensure the financial stability of your company.

I ordered a dozen organic pasture-raised eggs ($5) and frozen wild alaskan salmon ($22) from too good to go. The eggs are marketed as "vibrant orange yolk" and thwy are clearly yellow in the picture. Overall, not a bad deal considering how expensive eggs are right now, but definitely not as advertised which was disappointing.

Pros: decent quality grocery, reliable delivery, some items hard to find elsewhere, hassle-free refund process Cons: ridiculously expensive I just shopped at a Whole Foods today, and got curious how much I would've spent on the same items if they were from Good Eggs. Turned out WF $65 == GE $90 ($76 items, $14 fees) I cozied up too much with GE during the pandemic. I need to stop using it now! (Well except for when I crave for their pistachio pesto ... it is REALLY GOOD. I guess I'll place orders at GE once in a while just for that pesto!)

Without sounding boughie, I get most of my groceries delivered these days (disclaimer; super convenient and I have MD so carrying groceries in the city without a car poses a problem for me). Good eggs is truly THE BEST OF THE BEST in delivery and quality. Customer service is always exceptional. I eat out on the weekends most of the time and if I'm feeling extra lazy on a weeknight will order delivery, but otherwise I cook a lot and the quality of purveyors and selection is a foodie's dream come true. They just implemented a yearly membership program that of course I jumped on. Try them out if you ever find yourself needing groceries delivered for any reason at all. Plan in advance, since certain delivery time slots sell out quickly .

I've been using GoodEggs for several years now. I give them a 2 star rating because they often send food that is not fresh or damaged - I've received countless egg cartons with broken eggs, spoiled produce, breads and prepared foods that are too close to expiration. The reason I continue to use them is because they purvey from local farms and that is better than shopping at Whole Foods.

I was an early adopter of the Good Eggs. I used to buy a lot because of their product quality and nice delivery service. However, I stopped using it completely a couple of years. Over the years, the fees having kept going up and the delivery become less convenient. Overall, it's just not worth. You will end up paying a lot more for slightly better product (if any).

Don't know what we'd do without GoodEggs and their awesome delivery service! We are no longer young and shopping in grocery stores has become difficult for us. GoodEggs' food is fresh, locally produced, and the prices are reasonable. The deliveries are on time. accurate., and packed with a minimum of waste. We used GoodEggs for several years are recommend them highly!

HELLO FRESH is better and gives back to our communities! Good Eggs is so rude/mean! You will spend more time waiting for your delivery, outside of the delivery window, than you would just going to the store. I recommend looking up local farmers markets to protect your time. Furthermore, customer service spends more time defending themselves and attacking customers than they do reading your issue and actually fixing their broken processes. When a company shows you their priority, and it's not the customer? You know something's wrong at the top. Don't waste your time and energy. This place is unprofessional and ineffective.they gaslight you, they lie about email responses and "making it right." They over charge for no service provided. They don't function properly as a buisness. Once they pre charged me 2x for 1 order and sent me a nasty gram when the second 600 dollar payment was rejected by my banks fraud protection. Then proceeded to charge another card on my account without conscent. When I complained? They blamed me and accused me of not having funds for twice of what I bought (what?!) Oh, and the app absolutely does not function and is unusable. I have more examples and could go on - but shame on me for continuously giving them chances.

I signed up for Good Eggs delivery because it was giving 5% of the proceeds to my son's preschool. Unfortunately it delivered very expired meats! It's unacceptable and a food safety violation! Apparently, I'm not the only one! Because of that, I'm not ordering from them ever again!

I finally decided to try Good Eggs about a month ago when I was in search of a specific watermelon variety and they were the only ones that had it and would deliver it to my door. I have shopped with Good Eggs three more times and plan to add them into my regular shopping rotation. I have been very impressed with the produce. I am very picky about my produce quality and so far everything has met my high standards. It is very fresh and so far has all been so flavorful. Comparable to stuff that comes out of my own garden, which even my CSA box doesn't always manage. They also have amazing varieties of fruit that I haven't seen too many other places. I am obsessed with the fact that I can order 3-4 different kinds of honeydew melons. Ordering is simple using the app, although for some reason it is really slow on my phone. Could absolutely be just an issue with my phone. I just practice patience. I love that you can select when you would like it to be delivered instead of being stuck with just one day and no specific time like my CSA box, which often arrives in the middle of the night which means I don't feel great about getting perishables. With Good Eggs I can pick a time when I know I will be home. Perishables are also packed with ice packs which is great. Price wise it often comes out to be cheaper than my CSA box and is much better quality than the grocery store. I am happy to be supporting living wages and people owning a part of a good company. It isn't perfect despite my glowing review, but nothing is perfect. My first two deliveries showed up a little outside my selected 2 hour window, but I did get a text message with a heads up. Just be aware that you may not want to schedule right before needing to leave the house. It was only about 15-20 minutes late. I have had a missing item and a damaged item, but customer service was amazing both times. You just send them a text and they take care of it.

I'm giving them 5 stars even though I have had occasional problems with the service. They keep sticking it out and I hope they stay around in a competitive environment. They always credit me if anything is missing or wrong. They are great for us because you can get local produce equivalent to CSA box plus add on whatever groceries you need. Tips to using the service: -order in season fruit and veggie- better than farmers market -meat from Cream, other suppliers on the site are also outstanding quality -We've had good luck with premade salads that feed 2 for lunch and are fresh -be careful ordering around the holidays because they get overwhelmed and orders may be late or missing items. Don't order a Thanksgiving dinner for 8pm on Wednesday night. Do order a delicious turkey 2 - 3 days ahead when there is time for plan B -I love early am delivery in my area, especially after travel. No dreaded Safeway trip. -It's expensive but quality is high. Just shop wisely on the site (easy to use) and place a big enough order to make fees worthwhile

Covid review. For us Good Eggs is a life saver. We haven't been to a grocery store for months. We shop local when we can. Good Eggs has a lot of local providers. We purchase mostly organic produce, Straus milk, organic Mary's chicken and a bunch of other items. Ordering is easy online. Good Eggs try's to keep inventory up to date. If they are truly out of something you cannot order it. That said inventory doesn't always agree with the inventory. Have you ever been in a big Box store that is missing 30 boxes of something nobody can find? The same will happen with Good Eggs. As with their competitor Good Eggs has a substitution program should you allow them to substitute. In our case we fairly allow substitutions and just order enough to "punt" should something be out. Customer service is excellent. If you don't get something, call them and they will make it right. Food shows up in boxes that they will pick up next time and recycle. Perishable items are packed with recyclable ice pouches. Frozen goods come with clearly labeled "dry ice" pouches. Straus bottle deposits will be refunded immediately when you leave the bottles for pickup on your next order. For those of us that can remember milk delivery this reminds us of days in the past. Good Eggs is a growing business. They have had a few false starts around very busy times like Thanksgiving. For thanksgiving we had a spatchcocked turkey that was extremely tasty but not all were that lucky. We ordered ours early in the week along with a frozen duck just in case. The CEO had to apologize to some of the customers for missing the delivery. Suggestion: order early and have a backup plan. Have you ever gone to a store only to find out all turkeys and pies are gone? Having a backup plan and patience is a great prescription for the times something happens.

Another year, another free range, hormone-free Thanksgiving Turkey for my family. I ordered my items for Thanksgiving through the holiday pre-order email that is thoughtfully sent while you are still in a Halloween Candy Coma. Best time to think about your next feast...while rubbing your belly from the current sugar laden feast. They have all the hormone-free turkeys you could want like free range, heritage, broad breasted. Have you ever had a wild turkey! Ugh it's so gamey. But, you should eat what you hunt - that's my motto. Thankfully Good Eggs have every kind of turkey but the wild kind! Local bakery pies save me so much time especially now that I know I am celiac - baking gluten pies just doesn't make sense. To make my gluten loving family happy I order my holiday pies from Good Eggs. Ah! This year for Black Friday they offered $10 off whole pies that didn't get chosen for the big day. That is a great way to try different Bay Area Bakeries! The excellent curation of local Ciders, Beers, Wines and Spirits are items I make sure grace my Thanksgiving table. I love pre-ordering every year because I know everything will be impossibly fresh and responsibly sourced. Instead of wasting time at the market with tons of other people, my groceries are delivered to my door by really nice Good Eggs drivers. How is this review about my amazing, deliciously healthy and wonderfully boozy Thanksgiving supposed to be helpful to you? They are taking pre-orders for Holiday Prime Rib, Goose, Duck, and Brisket for your fancy dinner right now. Ohhhh yesssss prime rib! Also? You can shop good eggs any time of the year. Treat yourself to impossibly fresh produce, bakery items baked that morning, and wonderfully delicious humanely raised meats. Let's not pretend you aren't going to be starting a diet on January 1st that you will abandon by Valentine's Day. Just eat healthy. Buy the best quality you can afford as often as possible. Oh wait, I have to mention the cheeses. Never forget the cheeses! Love yourself, be healthy, eat well!

Note:: These photos are from across 4 different orders. I've had calls and email threads with Good Eggs after each delivery. And each time it only gets worse - I throw away more of the order than I consume. Expired meat, liquified popsicles, cut fruit with mold, milk with chunks and today it was a cracked container of beef (placed underneath a watermelon no less) and thrown onto my doorstep with a loud thud. Maybe expansion isn't going smoothly in the current economy and with labor shortages in the bay area. Doesn't really matter, I guess. The end result is the same more often than not.

I've had a couple minor replacement issues, but, all in all, Good Eggs is great. Customer service is solid. Packaging is superb. Workers are treated well, not kept under the gun through gamified manipulation and paid pennies. #fuckinstacart Workers get to use company cars. They also receive four free grocery items/day, I've been told.

It does not matter how good the quality of the product is if the delivery process is an absolute mess and there is no customer service. First time ordering through Good Eggs, many months ago, the delivery tracker said they'd be arriving in 10 minutes. Then 5 minutes. Then it said 5 minutes for the next 2 hours. And the truck didn't move from a location a few blocks away. I called, I texted, I emailed. The customer service is an absolute ineffective joke. Turns out the driver pulled into the Safeway parking lot a couple blocks away and took a nap. I kid you not. Afternoon ruined waiting for an order that ended up being 2-3 hours late. The second time ordering (didn't want to based on the first experience), the delivery tracker once again stated the driver would be arriving in 20 minutes, then 15 minutes, then 10 minutes.....and then it said 10 minutes for the next two hours. I called, I texted, I emailed. Same dismal and ineffective customer service. Turns out the driver hadn't even left the warehouse. What exactly was the live tracker tracking? The third time ordering (wasn't my choice this time), and the same thing happened as the previous time. Delivery tracker said delivery due in 20 minutes, which would have been 3:45. Then 10 minutes, then 8 minutes....I thought it would happen! But I noticed that while the time was ticking down, the location of the van showed it still at their warehouse in Bayview. Once again, I called, I texted, I emailed. Barely a response. When they finally did respond, they said the order would be delivered over 30 minutes past the end of their delivery window at 6:30 pm. Nope. 6 pm or cancel was my response. They dropped it off at 5:56 pm. Warm produce and pathetic flowers. Don't advertise what you can't deliver. Otherwise, you're just dirty liars.

Unfortunately, less than a year after signing up for GoodEggs, I've canceled my membership. The produce is still great, Customer Service still stands behind their products and is responsive but delivery has gone downhill completely. Beginning in May and around the time they added tipping as an option, delivery went from on time, within your delivery window, friendly and competent to a driver arriving 3 1/2 hours before my delivery window and telling me "I had a delivery over there, I don't have time to come all the way back here!" My following delivery, the entire box bottomed out and food spilt everywhere because they didnt take the ice packs. The next delivery was again outside the delivery window, even though CS was made aware of the issue the last time. The third time my order arrived outside the delivery window, the driver was also wearing an Amazon vest and ignored me when I asked him to take the ice packs. I don't know what happened to their delivery service but when you pay for membership, it should be better than this.

We have been using Good Eggs for over three years. I hope hope hope and pray that they maintain their quality and customer service standards. The food is higher quality and similarly priced to a grocery store that rhymes with Soul Moods. High quality product and meat. Unique products. Great wines.

It's time to bid 'adieu' to Good Eggs. I'd probably stick around if I wasn't being ripped of for the $18-$20 delivery/service fee, but to consistently receive rotten produce, expired fish, poultry, and dairy products, stale bread and cookies (yes, cookies!) - enough is enough. Fortunately, Whole Foods has stepped up their game (only a $10 delivery fee), and everything is fresh with nothing close to the expiration dates. Also, the time frames for delivery are much more convenient. After all these years, Good Eggs will not invest in quality control...speaks volumes about the company.

If I would have reviewed Good Eggs a month ago, I would have scored them higher, after using them for several months for specialty grocery shopping without incident. I considered them a reliable supplier of groceries and locally produced meal kits. I encouraged my family this would be a good Thanksgiving option for our smaller needs this year. But I write this on the day before Thanksgiving, arguably one of the most important meals of the year for our family. A delivery that was supposed to arrive at 10 am today, and has most of our key ingredients, including our turkey and pumpkin pie, is MIA as of 7 pm, but what is most upsetting is that the customer service communication at Good Eggs is absent. Clearly, this issue is impacting many customers, because their outgoing phone message (no humans, only answering machines) is indicating long delays, but then the phone is disconnected and we were hung up on, without any additional support. Phone messages were not responded to, and in trying to call Good Eggs back, we were led through a series of prompts before ultimately being disconnected again. Our many emails sent throughout the day received canned responses "please have patience" without real information as to whether items may arrive before Thanksgiving, or after. Our texts (they encourage customers to text or email customer service) were not responded to. In short, no communication. Radio silence or canned non-meaningful responses. Its not acceptable that there's no one, no actual human who is customer facing, answering the phone from the Good Eggs team during this widespread Turkey Day issue that impacted countless customers. 2020 has taught us many things. Certainly it taught us to have patience and gratitude and to accept that not all things will go to plan. And we've learned that we will survive it. That it will be mostly okay. But on a year such as this, selecting Good Eggs on Thanksgiving turned out for my family, and many others, to be just another one of those 2020 stressors we didn't need. Update: Our order (missing some items) arrived in the past 10 to 15 minutes (around 8 pm) without any communication prior, and about eight hours after expected arrival. While we lost a day of prep time, at least most items got here before Thanksgiving. Still there is much to improve in terms of the supply chain and customer communication. We were sad to hear (through local NBC Bay Area News) that many other Good Eggs customers were not as lucky, when watching 'Where Is the Turkey We Ordered?' Local Delivery Service Fails to Drop Off Thanksgiving Orders." Good Eggs, this year, turned out to be a bit of a turkey.

Since a good friend's wedding became virtual during this era, I had to figure out a way to have beautiful and gourmet gifts still be present for him and his bride while I Zoom-ed in for the ceremony. Good Eggs delivered, with a salted buttercream frosted ginger cake and white roses for the lovely couple. Everything arrived on time and intact. And they said the flowers were beautiful and the cake was both exquisite and delicious!

The quality of the food really is great, but after multiple deliveries that were more than 2 hours past the end of the 4 hour delivery window it was time to stop ordering with them. Just like another reviewer, my 5p-9p delivery arrived at 11:15pm. This one was the last straw because it was after a trip, we were all jetlagged, and one of us had to stay up for this.

Disappointed in what I received today. Better luck with other food delivery services. Was so excited to try the Orange chicken with broccoli meal kit but the star anise flavor was so overpowering that the dish didn't taste as good as we'd hoped. Oh well..otherwise organic cereals look good and Japanese organic veggies. -- Customer service is questionable. No feedback since receiving first order yesterday at 3pm and leaving a comment shortly thereafter for a refund.

Nothing has changed from my original review. I ordered from Good Eggs a couple of times again, and the items that I received were not good quality. Large bags of kale went bad within one day, and items are always missing from orders.

First delivery was good, but things went downhill from there. Customer service is non existent, and good luck trying to get a refund for missing items (let alone any response at all). Do yourself a favor and avoid this business. Don't fall for their marketing schemes. You'll only set yourself up for disappointment and lose money on stale produce/missing items if you do.

We love Good Eggs. My summer favorite is the Ratatouille meal kit. It's so simple to cut up some veggies to roast We make it with poached eggs, add the goat cheese and basil. Wonderful summer dish. There are lots of interesting meal kits including a zucchini pasta bake. I continue to love getting Clover milk. It's handy to be able to order some tasty unique premade food like pupusas (just microwave) and tasty ravioli (just boil). I love these for different lunch options.

It's sad to say that we have never had an order fulfilled without some kind of issue due to lack of inventory management, poor packer judgement and/or quality control. The latest delivery was missing items (but we were still charged for them), and included produce riddled with black mold, broken eggs, and meat that was packaged back in July 2019 (for a March 2020 delivery). It's appalling that the inventory includes such expired items way past food safety guidelines AND the packer did not possess any kind of sense that a gray-brown package of raw meat is absolutely not acceptable to add to an order. Where is the quality control and food safety practices?

11/2023 update: I have now been using Good Eggs after a long while. Mostly everything is good. Small but important thing: when they pack my cold things with ice packs, despite my repeated pleas, ice packs are only placed on top of my cold items, not around my cold items. They have a good selection of products -- many items catering to special diet considerations. Their delivery is on-time and well-packed. Overall I would say their products are similar in quality/selection/pricing as Whole Foods. Thus far we tried only a few of their own brands, such as the sausages (the lamb merguez esp. good; others just OK). Our only complaint is in the incredibly small, stingy portion of their homemade mustard ($4 for what is approx. equal to 2 pumps from Top Dog's mustard bar). Plus the description failed to mention it has a sweet-hot flavor which was not what we were expecting from a whole grain mustard. Will most likely use Good Eggs again but will steer away from their own brands...except the lamb merguez.

I've heard good things about Good Eggs, and finally decided to give it a try. Overall it's a good experience, except for the box of groceries I got. First I realized I got one bottle of kombucha when I ordered one case, I contacted the nice CX people. Then I find out the Napa cabbage in my meal kit is replaced with a regular cabbage, and I was never notified about it. I'm Chinese, messing with my Napa cabbage is messing with me, but fine, I contacted the niece CX people again. And now I just opened my favorite Straus yogurt which expires in a month, and the yogurt is clearly bad. Last straw. Maybe the Good Eggs CX team is so good at making things right that the company doesn't even see what's really wrong.

Been using them for a couple years with no issue, but over the past few months the service has gone downhill quickly. Missing items, incorrect items, bad packaging, frozen items delivered at what I imagine was the temp of the delivery vehicle's heater (they forgot the ice packs). Add to this that their customer support is seriously lacking, they've moved into the "not worth the time or money" category for me. They do have a great selection of products, so if you do try them, don't go planning a menu around what you ordered. You're not necessarily going to get what you expected and then you're gonna spend days texting back and forth with their "support" to get it resolved.

I've been using Good Eggs for grocery delivery the last few weeks and they have been a total lifesaver. Yes, sometimes they are out of items, but I have received most of the things I ordered. They have lots of dairy free, gluten free items, a great selection of organic produce and super tasty meal kits. I will use this regularly instead of Whole Foods from now on.

I ruptured my Achilles and am used to eating quality food, so I placed an order with Good Eggs-my first one in about 3 years. They do not disappoint! Not only is the food delish, their customer service is incredible. They're my go to for fresh, quality and variety.

It has been over a year with Good Eggs - many ups and downs to say the least. I cannot justify getting behind this service any more. They claim to be 'pro-employee'...but what about pro-customer? In the past year they have rolled out $9 (per order) in additional charges, without a single announcement or explanation directly to customers. It is really hard to justify paying more cost per unit of groceries (Bi-rite has cheaper prices...) for B-grade produce, a limited selection unless you order Sunday or Monday, and now $9 in fees because they can't figure out how to pay employees correctly (try raising some more $$ lol). There are too many good options for grocery delivery in SF (and Bay Area). I highly suggest you look at these before looking at Good Eggs - at least when they try to fleece you for added fees, they are transparent and forthcoming about it. Lose your fees or lose you customers Good Eggs...

Always substituting and can not fulfill order. Received some expired and spoiled items / produce.

I've been using Good Eggs for a few months and it has slowly but steadily become my go-to delivery service. First, I like having the ability to shop items from local stores and producers. Some of my favorite items are the ravioli from the pasta shop, pizza from the italian dough factory, and the pretzels from firebrand. Especially while staying home, it feels extra special to be able to add these items to my order. Second, if you are brushing up on your quarantine cooking skills, they almost always have whatever specialty ingredient I need. Whether it's something basic like buttermilk and heavy cream for a baking experiment, or saffron for that paella attempt, they have it. Third, their delivery team is ALWAYS super nice. Fourth, it's easier to submit orders closer to when you actually need them. No ordering a week or more in advance! And I can add to my order up until the morning of my deliver day if I need something else. There have been some hiccups from time to time. Yes, we got caught up in the Thanksgiving snafu. That was a huge bummer, and even worse, I felt terrible it meant my delivery person worked on a holiday. However, we still used Good Eggs for Christmas and there were no issues, so I think they learned from this operationally. Also, most of my orders have had 1 or two things that are either missing or a substituted item. I don't have substitutions allowed on my account, but little things like the wrong flavor cupcake get through sometimes. Since these are usually small items, I don't want to take the time/effort to contact customer care every time, but realize I could. Overall, Good Eggs has greatly improved the quality of my stay at home time!
