We had the most amazing meal at Good Fortune this evening. The food was unbelievably delicious- crawfish dumplings, Big City Noodles and the ice cream. All were absolutely scrumptious. Every meal that was delivered around us looked delicious as well. We are from out of town but will definitely make every effort to visit again as we want to try EVERYTHING! The staff were fast, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu making great recommendations. They do add a 20% service charge so the staff, including chefs are able to split it and thus, no tipping. We didn't mind this at all as you could tell everyone was working hard and their efforts were great food and an enjoyable atmosphere.

Was quite packed on a Saturday night in November, but they still got us seated in about 15 minutes. Their menu is simple with affordable prices, and the food comes out faster than Jimmy Johns. They have gluten free options also. We enjoyed the chashu pork rice bowl and the spicy pork noodle bowl with kimchi. We also had the Thai tea tres leche which was, delightfully, not too sweet! I will definitely be back!

As an Asian, I found the flavors at Good Fortune a bit underwhelming. The curry lacked depth and didn’t taste very flavorful, though the noodles were cooked perfectly. The pork dumplings are just okay nothing special . I tried the ube lemonade it was okay, but the artificial ube syrup was noticeable. The matcha ice cream (taitaki style) didn’t have the strong matcha flavor I was expecting coming from a matcha enthusiast that was disappointing 😅. On top of that, the 20% service charge felt excessive for the experience. Overall I expected more given the hype and the price point.

Good fortune is 100% my favorite restaurant in downtown Memphis. The food is great every single time. From the hostess to the waiters and the rest of the staff, everyone is so friendly and the food always arrives in a flash. My go-to’s are the must have GF Wings, the fried tofu rice bowl and the impossible dumplings. It’s always a great decision to stop by!

Google
Good Fortune is a Downtown Memphis staple! Amazing food - charred edamame, THE WINGS, and the chicken rice bowl are my go-to choices! Make sure you save room for the Taiyaki (ice cream) with their rotating delicious flavors, even you think “eh I might not like that,” get it and be amazed!

Google
Seen it on Diners, drive ins and dives. Had to go check it out. Not the best ramen I have ever had but it’s still good. Crawfish dumplings were disappointing but the Chicken wings were probably the best wings I have ever had so crispy and the best flavor. The banana ice scream in the fish waffle cone was a cool dessert and tasty.

Google
Everything was just okay — a bit underwhelming overall. The chicken bowl tasted pretty basic, and the ramen was bland. Dumplings were better. I also ordered a chicken bowl to go, and it didn’t include the nori/seaweed wraps. We would not return.

Google
Saw the restaurant on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and said we would check it out when we came to Memphis. Not quite what I expected but delicious none the less. We had the pork dumplings, Sichuan honey glaze wings and the chicken rice bowl. All the food was fresh and very flavorful. Will definitely come again when we roll back through Memphis.

Yelp
Located in the up-and-coming South Main neighborhood, Good Fortune serves up a variety of tasty made-to-order Japanese cuisine -- including ramen soups, rice bowls, and a small selection of hot and cold appetizers -- in a very casual ambiance served by efficient and friendly staff. I wasn't expecting to find freshly-made, tasty, and authentic ramen in a city known for barbequed bologna, but I had to try Good Fortune after receiving a glowing recommendation from the owner of DVOUR. I usually order Kuro Miso (or Spicy Pork) ramen served in a pork broth, but our server recommended the Coco Curry ramen ($17), a vegetarian dish made with hand-pulled noodles in a coconut-milk based broth and topped with fried tofu and and thai basil. YUM! One of the best ramen soups that I have ever had! My dining companion had the Tan Tan ramen ($17), a vegetarian dish made with hand-pulled noodles in a vegetable broth and topped with vegetarian soboro (which has the flavor and appearance of ground beef, scallions, cilantro, and chili, which she really enjoyed. Our server. Natalia, was fantastic and offered some terrific recommendations for our first trip to Good Fortune. The portion sizes were very filling and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back next time we're in Memphis! PRO TIP #1: Flavortown Mayor Guy Fieri visited Good Fortune in the 2024 Diners, Drive-ins and Dives episode "From Noodle to Strudel". He and owners Sarah Cai and Arturo Leighton made the Crawfish Dumplings and Big City ramen.

Yelp
They had a pop up this past weekend at The Liquor Store Restaurant and I was able to go! After their participation in The Great Food Truck Race everyone was so excited for the Slap Noodles. Due to it being a pop up there was a bit of a wait but everyone was so nice from the bartender to the guy slapping the noodles were nice! It was my 1st time in The Liquor Store but I'll be back. It was a very cool laid back vibe. I ordered The Beef Noodles and the Wings. The noodles were very tender and tasty and the beef had a nice flavor. The wings were delicious, covered in a sauce that made you look at it twice. Be on the lookout for the next one and get there early.

Yelp
I feel like every time I go out of town, we have to try a local Asian spot. Good Fortune was walking distance from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. It was crowded but luckily we did manage to get one of the last available tables. Our waitress was great. She was very attentive. I ordered the dumplings and my husband ordered the chicken and rice bowl. We loved the food. The dumplings had a chili oil on them so there was a spicy kick. I appreciate how attention to detail the restaurant is. There were about 7 dumplings on my plate and the waitress came back and said "we owe you one more" and they brought a fresh one for me. It was a nice gesture where if they didn't tell me about it, I probably would not have noticed. The star of the show was the Taiyaki. We saw photos on Yelp and knew we were going to order it. They change the flavor periodically. When we were there, the flavor was apple pie. It has caramel ice cream, apple pie filling and of course the Taiyaki pastry. It was the best ice cream I had. The portion was huge so I was not able to finish it. The prices were very fair for what you get. 2 entrees and 2 desserts came up to around 50 dollars. In this day and age, it's not a bad deal. If you need a break from the typical Memphis tourist spots, go to Good Fortune!

Yelp
It's become a tradition for my friends and I to find an Asian food joint when traveling from out of town. As soon as we saw a picture here with Taiyaki, we immediately made plans to visit! Good Fortune is a great local spot that's away from the touristy areas. It has a great vibe and friendly staff, too! Their menu had so many good options to choose from that I honestly had a hard time deciding. I went with the GFC wings and I couldn't get enough of it! And of course, we had to end with what we came for, the Taiyaki (fish-shaped bread with ice cream.) They have rotating flavors and had an apple pie one while we were there. It was foodgasmic, to say the least. I love this place!! I'd absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Overall it was a great visit to this restaurant. They have a lot of great vegan or vegetarian options which is a plus. Our server was patient and very attentive. We enjoyed sitting on the patio just make sure they give you a fly swatter to sit on your table because the flies were relentless. Great food and everything was fresh. For the price of the food it compares with the quality of the meal. I will return and try something else.

Yelp
Went to celebrate my 60th birthday at Good Fortune. The restaurant has beautiful murals for the decor. The dishes have an Asian flair which compliments the food. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken wings and crab dumplings. Both dishes were flavorful and had an awesome sauce and texture. My aunt had the Homemade Pulled Noodle Soup which was spicy but not overly spicy. The noodles were tender and tasted yummy. We also ordered the pork steamed dumplings which were filled with pork and I think some veggies. Those were tasty! Brought my own cake to celebrate. Our waitress was so nice and kind. She was attentive and checked on us frequently. I think her name was Hope. Thanks for great service. I will come again since our visit was so pleasant and the food was extremely delicious. My birthday was one to remember. Glad we came here to celebrate my milestone birthday.

Yelp
We were immediately greeted at the door and our waiter was lovely! The chicken bowl was flavorful, but the chicken was cooked too hard. The wings took to long to come out, BUT they made it right by giving me the wings. The wings are absolutely amazing!! They are crispy and flavor loaded! I would certainly get the wings again!
google avatar

Breanna T.

Yelp
Came here after a play. Hostess was really nice but it was soooo loud it hard to hear. I decided to sit at the bar. They had hooks for purses which was a plus for me. I wanted to get the wings but that was the first thing they said to me was they were out. I decided to try the rice bowl which was really tasty and the pork dumpling. That was not good to me. Was not a fan at all. The ube lemonade had a funny taste to it as well. Idk wasn't my vibe.

Yelp
Omg 5 stars all around ... yes yes and YES !!! They are amazing!! The most amazing wings I have ever eaten in my life .. I'm not kidding!! Awesome patio .. dog friendly on the patio .. you have got to come try this place!! AMAZING
google avatar

Yelp
Good fortune was absolutely AMAZING! priced perfectly with indoor dining and an outdoor patio. The servers were personable and I can see why the place is busy. I love the vegan offerings and I honestly think they have the best fried tofu bites and chicken tenders EVER ! I'm not even a chicken tender kind of girl and would order these again. I think whoever is cooking is consistent , the food was flavorful and great for family style. I can't wait to come back again and order up more great food and vibes
google avatar

Camille F.

Yelp
I enjoyed everything I had and the customer service was excellent. Even with the busy Friday night crowd, we were consistently updated on our wait time and ultimately given the option to sit at the bar so of course we did! The staff was friendly and our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Here's what I ordered: Last fall I discovered that I absolutely love ramen so I got the TAN TAN NOODS and it was perfect! (This is a vegan dish but it certainly didn't taste like there was no meat in it!) Whenever you can get the special, get the special! I had a BLOOD ORANGE TEQUILA cocktail as part of the month's drink special and I loved that it was just the right amount of sweet. (I actually like to taste my alcohol.) Lastly, I know you see that piece of chicken all by itself. I didn't order it for myself, I was blessed with it. Get the GFC WINGS Trust me on this!

Yelp
Good fortune is an essential restaurant for any downtown Memphis South Main lovers. Featured cocktails with fun cups always hit. Whoever they hired to decorate their interior with wall art is totally awesome, because I always find myself studying the wall throughout the meal. My favorite dishes are the coconut curry, wings, tofu, and pork dumplings. It's hard to go wrong, though their rice dishes are not as good as the noodles. Definitely come a bit early, since they are very popular and don't take reservations!!

Yelp
This trip to Good Fortune didn't live up to the flavorful experience we had last time. First off, the wait was pretty long. We arrived, put our name down, and were told it'd be about 45 minutes. We went next door to a bar to kill time, but when we came back at the 45-minute mark, they told us it still wasn't ready--even though three tables were open. An hour and 15 minutes later, we finally got a table, but only because we kept asking if anyone was going to sit at those open spots. I ordered the lemongrass mojito, which was fine, but honestly, it wasn't a mojito at all. It only had mint as a garnish on top and none in the drink itself, which was a bit disappointing. On a positive note, the crawfish dumplings were amazing--10/10, and I'd definitely order them again. However, the chicken ramen was very bland. It had little to no flavor, and honestly, I could've just added soy sauce to it and it would've been better. I ended up not eating much of it and brought it home to add garlic, hoisin, and soy sauce to the broth, which made it more palatable. Even then, the chicken was underseasoned and overcooked. All in all, I'd probably skip the ramen if I return, but I'd definitely come back for those dumplings.

Yelp
Overall, great experience. Only thing I didn't love was parking/wait. This restaurant was clearly popular for a reason. The entire vibe was great along with delicious food!!! Their plating was clearly beautiful and detailed as well. Every dish we ordered was superb. Nothing was too salty or mushy. I wish I remembered our servers name but she was so kind!
google avatar

Yelp
I give this place 5 starts because for someone who's into this type of food it'd be great. However for me personally it wasn't the best food experience. Not because anything was wrong but it's just not my vibe. The ambience was great...it's small and quaint with good music & energy. The service was great. Food came out PROMPTLY! I can also appreciate that everything is made fresh. What we ordered: Bruce Lychee: 10/10 probably should have gotten another one! Wings: 10/10!! Idk how they got them so crispy yet tender but they were AMAZING! Wing places should def take notes! We had the lemon pepper flavor (it's a seasonal flavor). It gave more of a garlic parm but I didn't even care they were so good. Big City noodles & Chicken rice bowl: The ramen just tasted like chicken nothing more nothing less. I also would have maybe liked a few more veggies and for the noodles to be cooked a little longer. But these are personal preferences. I don't say don't try it. The rice bowl was cool the flavor was good. I didn't personally care for the texture of the chicken but the crunch was good and the flavor. We were constantly checked on & the manager even gave me my money back for not eating much of the ramen. That was very commendable and good restaurant etiquette!! He def did not have to do that! I wasn't expecting anything back cause it was something that I personally didn't care for & not the restaurants fault. Seems like they work really well together also!! My son said we have to come back for the wings alone. So we'll def be back!!! I do wish however that they had a chicken/beef option for the dumplings but again a persona preference of mine. Overall good experience and we'll be back!!!

Yelp
Cute spot with friendly staff, fun drinks, and delicious food! Highlights included the thick and chewy dumpling wrappers and flavorful chili crisp, the crisp on the tofu, the butter hints in the wing sauce, and the chili salt to coat the edamame in. Would definitely return!!
google avatar

Yelp
After further consideration, I'm updating my review. I'm a well traveled ramen eater and although the ramen didn't meet my expectations, every thing else exceeded! The ramen was closer to a 3 for me, but the service was a 5! My husband and I traveled from Dallas to try this place and it was pouring down raining. We had our dog so the only option was the covered patio. Due to the rain, Good Fortune wasn't allowing service on the patio, but once they saw our beautiful baby boy, they made an exception. What a wonderful gesture! Shout out to the business owner for taking time to receive my message and respond informatively and politely. We will be back next time we are in town and will even try the ramen again!

Yelp
This place is next level! Seated by a gracious host and attended to by an amazing server, we had an EXTRAORDINARY meal. The mocktail (with a spicy sugar salted rim and grapefruit juice with a gochujang syrup) was outstanding, as were the teriyaki wings and the chicken-based ramen with the most tender, toothsome noodles I've ever had. Vegan tres leches cake (how was that vegan?) for dessert. This is a MUST if u are visiting Memphis, a lovely city with even lovelier people. Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! We had a 20 minute wait, but it was definitely worth it! The place is small, but the food is mighty!! My sister and I sat at the bar and were greeted and served water immediately. The bar tender offered recommendations for us. My sister ordered the chicken rice bowl and impossible dumplings. I ordered the spicy pork noodles with corn and chicken and pork dumplings. We had the GFC wings for our appetizer. I also ordered the Fresca drink which is on the content inspired menu. Everything was so good! 10/10 highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Justin G.

Yelp
So good we came back a second night in a row! Everything on this menu looks incredible, and everything I've had so far was great! First night was the tendies and the tofu bowl, both awesome! The chicken was light and crispy and flavorful, and the general tsos tofu was delicious. Night two was the pork bowl and the spring rolls, made extra tasty by some chili crisp. The red envelope cocktail was bomb. Couldn't leave without some taiyaki to satiate the sweet tooth, and the blueberry yuzu soft serve was great! Staff was friendly and the service was fast. Great spot, not super frilly inside but will definitely come back!
google avatar

Amirah A.

Yelp
I forgot to take a picture of my meal but let's get into what I did remember to capture. First, the sailor Saturn cocktail is for anyone who likes sweet and tangy. It's very good. I definitely should've ordered two. Next, the ube cake. So soft, the frosting is fluffy. Just so good. And it's the perfect amount of sweetness. It satisfies the craving without being overly sweet. My actual meal was the kimchi and wings. The kimchi is a little spicy but good. I'd like a little more seasoning on the wings but they're not bad. Overall, great vibes and exceptional service. It's becoming a downtown favorite.
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
This place is second to none. Homemade noodles. Made to order chicken and more! Everything that we've ordered was tasty and great!! Service is top notch and the ambiance of the place also supporting the mood of the night. This is 5 stars place to visit in Memphis! Love it so much we decided to get shirts from them

Yelp
Oh. Good Fortune. How I love thee.... Let me count the ways... The vibe is really like none other in the beautiful, historic, love filled, City of Memphis. There is a really cool noodle themed mural that runs along the entire wall that took me three or four visits to realize it was all just a bowl of "noods" in art. There are little noodle dudes playing throughout it. The music is loud, it has a hip hop flair to it that just adds to the whole Memphis vibe. The tables are jam packed and I have never been there when it's not completely full. This gives me a great feeling of togetherness when I'm here. The mixture of patrons is that in which I do not believe you will find anywhere else in Memphis. All kinds of ethnicities, genders, and socioeconomic status, can be seen here. You are close enough to just have a conversation with the people around you and see what they had to eat. ;) I love the staff. Talk about even more diversity! There are so many types of people working here. It's hard to describe, you just gotta go. I think this helps add to the charm that brings in so many different customer backgrounds. They all work together to get you some great service man. Food is fucking killer! All of the things I've had were absolutely fantastic. They make the noodles here every day fresh and do not allow you to get them to go, as it would not be anywhere near the same experience if you didn't eat them right as they hit the table. Speaking of that, food comes to you as it gets ready, not all at once. Be ready for that My favorites are GFC Wings, Impossible Rolls & Dumplings, and the Potato Dumplings. I struggle to get away from them and try new things because I crave these things each time that I leave. I must branch out! I MUST BRANCH OUT! '24 - 37/100

Yelp
Obsessed with Good Fortune! My friend recommended Good Fortune, and I'll admit, i was a little hesitant at first since it's a newer spot downtown. But now? I'm addicted. I literally dream about the food. I've woken up wanting it. That's how good it is. They're open from 4 PM to 10 PM which honestly, I wish was earlier and they don't offer takeout officially, but I still go, order in person, and get it packed to go. Worth it every time. Now let's talk food the tofu bites are insane. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. I had the rice bowl with tofu bites, cashews, and a spicy bomb sauce oh my goodness, absolutely delicious. I'm a pescatarian, but I noticed the chicken is made with the same base as the tofu bites, and if I ate chicken, I can only imagine how fye that is too. The drinks? Also on point. Everything I've tried so far = 10/10. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go.

Robyn B.

Yelp
Service was great. Walked in and sat immediately on a Saturday night. First time here and knew nothing about it. We ordered wings, pork dumplings and coco curry noodles. Everything was good but the wings with a side of spice bomb were a surprising highlight. We have suddenly become disenchanted with eating out in Memphis. Nothing wows us. We struggle to recommend a favorite restaurant. But we will recommend this place and be back for the wings. The dumplings were also good. Next time we'd try a different flavor and a rice bowl just to branch out. The coco curry noodles were also good just a little weaker/watery than we prefer. Still good. But get the wings.
google avatar

Sydney W.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Memphis hands down!!! Has very quick service, fun vibes, and the BEST FOOD AND COCKTAILS EVER!!!

Soupy S.

Yelp
The food was very good, staff was friendly, and the prices were fairly reasonable considering how expensive everything is in our world. And, I don't rate a restaurant by its prices. What bothered me was that they sneaked a 20% gratuity onto the bill, calling it a Service Charge, then stated at the bottom of the receipt that 18% went to the server, 2% went to the kitchen. It is my fault I didn't look more closely to the receipt before I added a tip, of course, but I wonder how many other people have done the same. I am happy to tip generously, but I feel that I was deceived and will have to think twice about returning to the place.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Memphis right now; ambiance and food are unmatched. The indoor dining is beautiful and well decorated, and the outdoor patio is well suited for evenings. Service is lovely. Ordered: beef dumplings (favorite! Sweet and savory), mango sake, GFC wings (2nd favorite), chicken fried rice Everything is made from scratch and it shows
google avatar

DeeDee S.

Yelp
I love this place! The Vegan menu is amazing. The impossible dumplings and charred edamame are my favorites!! Service is great and the over all vibe is Dope! This spot is a must then your in Memphis!
google avatar

Lydia L.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night with a group of 5, and we waited about 20 minutes for a table. We started with a couple of cocktails. The Get Lucky lunar new year special was lovely, and the Old Fortune was a clever take on an old fashioned. From the bites menu, we had the charred edamame and the tofu bites. I thought both were incredible, but the tofu seemed to have a slight edge among the group. We had the birria dumplings, which I thought might have been the best thing of the night. Obviously not the most traditional thing, but the tender meat and gooey cheese hit all the right notes. I could have been done there and happy, but we couldn't resist also getting the spicy pork noodles. They have a serious kick, but were very good. Perfect noodles, perfect ajitama. Pork could maybe be sliced a little thinner and be cooked a little less? But still very good. One person found room for the taiyaki, which this month was ube and vanilla. She gave it two thumbs up, and I'm definitely going to try it next time.

Katy J.

Yelp
We went to Good Fortune looking for a break from fried food. We were particularly interested in the crawfish dumplings. I wasn't too worried when the waitress told us the dumplings were fried. I imagined pot sticker fried i.e, mostly steamed. However, when they came they were clearly deep fried. Who ruins dumplings by deep frying them? The crawfish dumplings also had cream cheese in them, which overpowered the crawfish. Very disappointed!
google avatar

Grace D.

Yelp
Food was tasty, service fast and place had a cool vibe. So what was the issue? For me at least, the big city chicken pho didn't come with enough broth and bowl was smaller than I'd get at the H-town pho shops. The noodles are hand-made but are not rice noodles. The chicken is thigh meat which I love but was fried with a coat on it and a bit hard to chew. My spouse had the pork pho and the bowl was bigger. Also I don't like that with only 2 people there was an automatic 20% added to the bill. Would I go again? Yes but now I know!
google avatar

Gabbie E.

Yelp
Food was incredible!!! Chicken rice bowl wasn't our fav, a little bland. Everything else was AMAZING! Food came out so fast and our server was great!

Rebecca D.

Yelp
The food was delicious! I had grilled edamame and chili crisp chicken wings! My friends had dumplings! Prices are good.

Yelp
This eclectic little place was a great find. Seated near other people who you could talk to or not your decision. Great selection of food everything explain clearly by the staff..

Terry L.

Yelp
The guys at The Lobbyist recommended this place and when the food is as good as theirs you gotta give it a try. We were not disappointed, fantastic food, wings, impossible meat dumplings, spicy pork ramen and regular ramen were all wonderful. The service provided by Matthew was also fantastic, will add to my list of musts when in Memphis.
google avatar

Kassidy D.

Yelp
This place was booming but we were sat pretty quickly. The hostess and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The waiter explained the menu selection. The sake is a great deal in my opinion. The birria dumplings were my favorite. I wish I'd order more dumplings. The chicken tenders were fried and battered quite hard which made them difficult to eat. The pork ramen wasn't a hit at the table either. I'd still recommend this place overall. Perfect for a date night dinner.

Yelp
It was our first time here and the inside was cute! We had to wait a little bit, but it was worth it. Great food! Friendly service!
google avatar

Amber A.

Yelp
Food was spectacular! We got the potato dumplings, pork dumplings, chicken ramen, and the tenders. We loved all of it! The ramen was the perfect amount of noodle and broth. The potato dumplings were delicious! It's a small little restaurant but worth the wait if there is one. The service was great!

Yelp
The wings... The Taiyaki... Good Fortune is one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis and I always make a stop there when I visit home. My usual order: The big city ramen with chicken and veggies, their sweet and savory wings, and I always end the night with whatever their flavor of the month is for the Taiyaki!

Theresa A.

Yelp
Let start with customers services: immediately greeted at the door with a smile and communication. Beautiful place, comforts, peaceful and feeling of good things to come. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, very pleasant gave us time and answered questions. The menu was reviewed by our picky eater "teenager" they were put at eased what to eat. The food Awesome, Awesome everything's you can taste freshness's made in house dumplings (second helping licking sauce) big city noodle, gfc wing's great. We definitely return. Totally AWESOME experiences. Lot of Love to establishment.
google avatar

Kassie L.

Yelp
Seriously some of the best food I've ever had! Everything I had was delicious!! The charred edamame was so much more exciting and flavorful than plain steamed beans. The wings were perfectly crunchy and juicy. The crawfish dumplings resembled a Crab Rangoon, but better. Coconut curry noodles - WOW - the tofu was amazing and I could just drink that broth straight. Lastly, the matcha and strawberry swirled ice cream was a perfect combo to top it off. Service and vibes were great. Would have loved to sit on the patio!

Yelp
One thing I'm gonna do is wait for good service and good food and our experience at Good Fortune Company was all of that! I'd been craving Chinese food for a few days and we were trying to find a spot to eat. Some of our besties hit us up wanting to get out of the house and we ended up downtown. Upon checking in, we were told it was a 45 minute wait and decided to stick around. The adjacent patio was open and unoccupied, so we asked for some waters and parked outside to catch up. Once we were seated inside, I told our server that I was going to eat everything on the menu...I was only half kidding. I proceeded to order so much food that I forgot I wanted a drink! Hubby and I shared the edamame and wings. Well, he ordered the wings and I called marriage tax and got one for myself. I then went after the chicken rice bowl. I couldn't finish it and had to make a life decision. I asked for a to-go container and dessert. Since I'm watching the amount of dairy that I ingest, I opted for the ube cake. I *think* it's GF too but honestly, I don't remember and couldn't have cared at that point because it was so good! I let my friend taste some of it and then took the rest home to enjoy for a midnight snack. The staff was incredible and kind and as accommodating as they could be with a crowd. We never felt like anyone was impatient and everyone there was pretty nice, patrons included. This is definitely a spot that will go on the list of regular places to try. Aware of the fact that I was looking for Chinese food and ended up at a Japanese fusion restaurant is only a minor detail in this story. We'll definitely return soon for drinks and apps.

Yelp
Not normally a fan of Asian food but this place is so good. The menu consists of fusion dishes that are not your typical fare, the cocktails are incredible, and I've always had great service. The restaurant is small, so definitely make a reservation. (Or put your name on the list and grab a beer across the street at slider)

Yelp
Fun dining experience in Memphis. It's a bit of a fusion of Southern and Asian cuisine. I would not characterize it as a "traditional/authentic" Chinese restaurant (coming from my West Coast perspective) nor would I lump into a Panda Express/PF Chang style restaurant either. However, the food is tasty and drinks are great. I'd come back here again.

Yelp
I had the Big City (chicken ramen) and it was amazing. The broth was savory and had a nice umami flavor. I highly recommend. It's unfortunate that I live so far from Tennessee beaches I would be a regular here. Everyone in my party was very satisfied with their meals.

Yelp
The food, the bar service, and the ambiance of this place was absolutely nothing short of amazing. I was visiting Memphis for an event and decided to have a late treat. I was shocked to find this Vegan enfused spot open late. I ordered ice cream and une cake. Had my doughts about the cake and WOW was a proved wrong. The vegan Ube cake was light, packed with flavor, I could not stop eating it. So delicious. Hats off to the baker. THE BEST VEGAN SPOT IN DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS.
