Finally made it to Good Measure after following them on Instagram for a few months. Decided on a solo breakfast date and turned out being incredible! I ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese sandwich (the goat cheese, fig jam & pickled onions were divine) and the Pops Latte (the sweet corn syrup was so delicious)!!! The service was quick, staff were friendly and vibes are immaculate for a cute lil chill breakfast date, will be coming back again soon!

Google
A great little local cafe the owner was taking orders & making the coffees in the air stream. The food was tasty and fresh food, the coffee was great (caramelized fig cold brew👍🏽👍🏽) Loved the unique atmosphere; hidden in the alley between a laundry mat and a residence.

Google
I have gotten Good Measure twice for breakfast. Everything has been delicious! I will definitely be ordering again soon. The sausage breakfast sandwich, waffle, cold brew and the restaurant interior are all amazing. If you are looking for breakfast in the San Diego area, you will not be disappointed. Perfect way to start the day.

Google
Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had :’) Paired w their (seasonal??) forest coffee drink that tasted like the grown up version of a dirt cup dessert from childhood - iconic. Banana bread w guava jam was also incredible!!!

Google
An actual hidden gem in North Park next to the laundromat. If you can find it, definitely find your way to the airstream and enjoy the most delicious meal and a pretty sick setting. I don’t think anything on their menu we’ve tried you can go wrong with.

Google
Good Measure makes some scrumptious breakfast! I had the SEC or house made breakfast sausage, a fried egg, goat cheese, a fig jam, pickled onions, and arugula on a toasted artisan bun. I also had a cortado with my meal. The SEC was delicious, especially the house made savory breakfast sausage. I liked the bun too. It had a great texture and tasted tasty. You wouldn't think the the fig jam would be strange with egg, but it worked very well here and was delicious. It brought everything together nicely. The cortado was well made and smooth. The service was very good at the coffee bar, I appreciated the owner/the chef came out to inquire on how I enjoyed my meal and coffee. The service was very friendly.

Google
It’s not often that you find a restaurant that comes from the depths of someone’s heart and soul. For me this is what Good Measure represents. Somone put their heart and soul into this place. From the coffee cups, the colorful plates, the retro table booths on the right when you enter, and the light fixtures above the booths; everything is well thought out and presented. The food is fun and whimsical. Yet don’t be fooled by the fun presentation and interesting ingredients. The layers upon layers of flavors are well thought out and balanced for the guest. You will taste flavors that push your palate and find combinations that leave you scratching your head and asking, “How the hell did someone think of that and how did they make it work?” San Diego, it’s rare when a chef presents their personality and view of life in their food. Think of a first date and you say, this is the real me! There’s a vulnerability and scariness that comes with that. Yet, it is my humble opinion, this is what you get when you visit and eat at Good Measure. The chef says, this is who I am, this is my vision, and this is the food I think you will love. There is a huge vulnerability to that. Yet, that is what makes all great artists…well great. And make no mistake, the owner/chef is an artist and a great one at that. The overall feel and the attentiveness of the staff is gentle and happy. Nobody is pressing you to eat and get out. It’s as if the staff want to create a fun place where friends can gather and laugh and not dive into the seriousness that life often presents us daily. I didn’t look at my phone once and instead relished the food and company. In closing, it’s sad that one day soon I will have to wait for an hour to get a seat at Good Measure. These places don’t stay under the radar forever. Yet, I will wait with a smile knowing that inside what awaits will bring me happiness, relaxation, and tasty eats.

Google
What a hidden gem!! This is a lowkey little spot with outdoor seating. The service was great, food was excellent, and we loved the colorful vibe and board games in the back. The latte and other drinks are creative and delicious — the iced chai was incredible. I also highly recommend the breakfast sandwich (I subbed avocado for bacon). Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this cute little spot! I came for a quick breakfast on a weds morning. There are a few tables and chairs available, super small but cozy backyard vibes. It's very casual, you order at the counter and pay and then find a spot to sit! Parking in the residential area and a couple paid meters out front. Service was quick and staff all very sweet and welcoming! I'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu. Unfortunately, they were out of hasherole and corn fritters which are what I wanted to try. Flower crown chai: (3/5) It wasn't the flavor I was expecting. It definitely has a kick, but I couldn't taste the lavender syrup as much I hoped! Sausage egg and cheese sandwich: (5/5) Great blend of flavors! The sausage was tasty. The jelly on the burger gave the perfect hint of sweetness and balanced the savory flavor. Would order again.

Yelp
OH YES! you have to come here! It is such a quaint, cute garden style little breakfast/brunch spot, they have this cutesy oldies style bus front as their ordering desk and it is the cutest! the staff is very friendly and kind! They have self serve stations for refreshments, and even have dogo water bowls as well. The seating area is quite relaxing, feels like you're in the backyard you deserve to have! The food is so super delicious, it does take a little bit of a wait to get, but you know that your food is made to order and fresh! Definitely recommend coming here, I fell in love, and would totally come back!

Yelp
Good Measure is delicious, adorable, and inviting. This was my first time at the "new" version of this establishment. I was a huge fan of Atypical Waffle, and think about the avocado, bacon, and goat cheese waffle more often than I should admit. The new iteration is on toast, which doesn't quite hit the same, but it's quite delightful in its own right. Counter service is friendly and our food was delivered promptly, despite a bit of a crowd. I'll certainly be back!

Yelp
This was walking distance from the air bnb, we thought it looked adorable and needed to visit for a brunch on our trip! We got there shortly after open around 8:10 and it was not busy at all but it picked up! You order from a little airstream and they have classics and fun funky options! I got a cherry vanilla matcha tonic, a cheesy potato hash, loaded vegetable hash, and toast. My family members mostly got breakfast sandwiches, my sister got a pb and j. I also got to try some of my sister's strawberry matcha. Everything was amazing and everyone was super happy with their choices! It's outdoor seating so was perfect for a nice October day! Was a bit pricey but we did order a lot of food and it was really good. Got a cookie as well. Loved all the dogs people were dining with and great service. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
A really cool and intimate alleyway/backyard vibe, Good Measure is a definitely a eye-catching place to grab breakfast. You order at the front and you seat yourself. Service was a bit slow for our group. We had a group of 6 and so between ordering and getting all of our drinks and food, it was probably around 20-25 minutes. The Yuzu Vanilla Matcha Tonic was really good and refreshing! This was a perfect drink on a hot day. I got the Salmon Sandwich which was flavorful and pretty good. The bread is interesting where it's more croissant-like in flavor. The Corn Fritter BLT (substituted vegan bacon) was nothing too special. The vegan bacon didn't have it's own flavor and lacked seasoning. Plus all of the toppings and sauce on the sandwich masked the flavor of the corn fritter. I'd recommend just getting a side of the corn fritters so that you can get an obstructed bite of their flavor (which was nice). The banana bread with guava rose jam was alright as well but nothing out of the ordinary.

Yelp
A little confusing to find, but this brunch spot is down a hall of a laundromat. The interior is cute and outdoorsy and it was clear that it was a cafe/restaurant and not some random alleyway lol. Cardamom Latte (6/10): The idea sounded tasty in theory as did all the other drinks but it was bland and the coffee flavor wasn't strong. Salmon and smashed peas (9/10): A great protein-rich breakfast option! It was light and refreshing paired with the beets and slices of red onion. The eggs were almost a french omelette style and it was super soft and melt in your mouth. Hasherole (10/10): The cornflakes sprinkled on top of a casserole/hash cheese cake with a delicious aioli was just to die for. I was licking that plate clean. I would come back just for the food!

Yelp
got the BEC sandwich and hasherole after grabbing coffee in north park, and i loved the BEC sandwich. super tasty, not overly oily and heavy, and the buns were perfectly toasted yet soft! also $9 for a sit down breakfast item is unheard of in san diego, so props to good measure for affordable breakfast! the hasherole on a different note was just ok -- there was too much herb aioli, so the dish tasted overly saucy to me. my boyfriend was in the mood for hash browns so we probably should have asked if they could just do a side of hash browns. i would def come back for their sandwiches the ambiance is a casual, outdoor sit down/grab and go spot. i loved the cute casual aesthetic. however there were so many flies when i was trying to eat not sure if i would dine here if it is warm outside

Yelp
Good Measure is the recent rebranding of Atypical Waffle in North Park as the new ownership finally changed the business name. The setup remains unchanged as you walk through a corridor next to a laundromat to reach this eatery. The kitchen is located inside an Airstream trailer, and all of the seating is outdoors but under cover. The current hours are from 8 am to 2 pm on Thursday to Sunday. I think there's a plan to expand into evening hours and even hosting occasional events. The food menu was made up of sandwiches, waffles, plates, and sides. For beverages, coffee, tea, refreshers, and lemonades were the categories. I selected a SEC (Sausage, Egg, Cheese) Sandwich and a Subtropic Lemonade for my to-go order. Goat cheese, fig jam, pickled onion, and arugula were the toppings that went with the sausage and egg on a croissant roll. I liked the contrast from the pickled onion and arugula to cut through the richness from the SEC components. The lemonade was a refreshing blend of strawberry and pineapple. I would be interested to see how the menu evolves to beyond brunch offerings over time. For now, I gave a four star rating for my takeout experience at Good Measure.

Yelp
Not a usual breakfast person but omg the sausage, egg and cheese is ‍. Service is always amazing and Brandon makes the best lattes.

Yelp
Ahhh such a great spot! They are a little ducked off in the back but still gave a nice cozy vibe. I did have to share a table with a few other customers but I didn't mind. I tried the strawberry fields matcha, harvest hash and #7. The harvest hash wasn't really what i expected but it was decent. Honestly have had better matcha as well, but the #7 was DELICIOUS! Perfect combo of savory and sweet, would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute breakfast spot in north park! There were a few tables spread through the small space and they all had shade which was very appreciated. It's counter service but the entire crew was great and came by our table a few times to bus and check in. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and loved it! I ordered the hash brown dish but personally was not a fan as it was VERY dill heavy. I got the strawberry fields matcha and would order again, but I'd probably ask if they can sweeten it next time. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area looking for a quick brunch!

Yelp
This is such a cute little gem in north park!! I'm so glad we stopped by. It was the owner's birthday that day and she's the sweetest. The menu is pretty simple yet unique. It had the perfect amount of options where it didn't feel overwhelming to choose. We got our food quickly and every bite was amazing. This was definitely one of our favorite breakfast places. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute gem. Surprised to find this lil breakfast spot nestled in a hidden side entrance. Vibe is chill. Wait time was kinda long. I'm going to give them a pass since the food was so tasty and something I didn't expect, original spin on some classics. Food was served piping hot. Place isn't crowded and wondered if it was because it's kinda hidden. Did I mention that I enjoyed my food? I will give them another try, definitely.
google avatar

Yelp
I've loved this place when it was wow wow waffle. They kept the decor slightly the same but the food is definitely different, the waffles are way too dry for me and the toppings were just ehhhh. Service was great though.

Yelp
Good Measure just opened in North Park next to Dunedin and it's so good. It's a chill brunch spot with simple breakfast options, but everything is so flavorful. I've tried their breakfast sandwiches and plates and everything I've had so far has been delicious. I also tried both of their matchas (strawberry field and orange blossom cardamom) and really liked them. The orange blossom cardamom is super good too if you want something different. The vibe feels really homey, all outdoor seating, and the staff are always so friendly. Definitely a new go-to spot for me!
google avatar

Yelp
First time here under their name managment. We liked the new booths when you first come in as well as new seating in the back. Place is also pet friendly . We walked since we live in the neighborhood but could see parking being a bit of a pain, especially on weekends. Their bacon egg cheese sandwich was solid. The spring inion fritters were interesting. We felt it was more of a pancake than a fritter. As far as taste they were not what we expected but still enjoyed them. Their grits were cooked well and paired nicely with the jalapeño jam and onions. Drinks were good. Service was great. Definitely worth checking out if in the area.

Yelp
I discovered Good Measure through ClassPass and have returned multiple times since. Located at 3519 30th St, San Diego, CA 92104, this North Park gem offers a welcoming environment paired with consistently excellent food and service. From the moment you walk in, the friendly and attentive staff make the experience feel inviting and seamless. The food is thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. I've enjoyed a variety of items on the menu, and each visit has been consistently satisfying. Whether it's for a casual brunch or a quick coffee and bite, the quality remains high. It's clear that attention to detail and care go into every dish. What truly elevates Good Measure is the service. The team is professional, courteous, and efficient, taking the time to engage with guests and ensure they feel taken care of. It's rare to find a place that combines a laid-back ambiance with such a strong sense of hospitality. I highly recommend stopping in to experience Good Measure for yourself. It's a wonderful example of a local business that gets everything right--great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Supporting them is easy when the experience is this consistently good.

Yelp
Very solid little spot. Good Sandwiches, light and fresh and good ingredients. I got the fig jam and jt really worked. Nice people as well, coffee looked yummy - recommend it, a fast casual sit down joint.

Yelp
Cute lil gem in NP! I went Sunday morning at 9am and it wasn't too busy..... yet. As we sat down the vibes were very chill! But it did start to get busy around 10 ish! Food was amazing, I had got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich & my bestie got the sausage. Both very tasty, definitely will be coming back again :)

Sophie T.

Yelp
Good Measure exceeded our expectations!! The coffee is FANTASTIC and the sandwiches live up to the hype. It was so fresh, filling and ofc, delicious. The banana bread was 10/10 and we also loved the scrambled hash. This place is perfect for a birthday brunch, it's so cute - you could get the best photos. They are also dog friendly, they have treats on deck!
google avatar

Food C.

Yelp
Definitely a great place to eat in peace, you don't get that at many places anymore. Just a great place to chill. Food is delicious, this time around I had the PBJ and honestly I wish I ordered 2 of them. Yes it was that good. The baristas and counter service are great and the chef is the greatest and I absolutely love the hospitality there.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome breakfast sandwiches + lattes. I tried my husband's latte also which had orange in it (which I don't usually like in my lattes) and it was so good!! Vibes are 10/10 and customer service was great too. We will definitely be back. Awesome spot to pop in at while walking around North Park.

Dakota S.

Yelp
The food here is really great. Super friendly service and a cool aesthetic to boot. Prob has the best banana bread I've ever had and their homemade guava jam is fire. My go to brunch spot!
google avatar

Yelp
This great outdoor brunch spot was another amazing find in SD. And the menu choices! Food is fresh, and made to order so enjoy the homey outdoor seating and super friendly staff. Your choice of a cozy table for two, quiet booths, or meet and great at a large open table for several. Ordered the Corn Fritter with a delightful balance of bacon, tasty heirloom tomatoes, a perfect portion of chipotle aioli, lettuce and just enough cilantro! This chef takes special care to not over power any one flavor in every bite. We arrived close to closing and the staff was smiling and friendly. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a specialty waffle or the everchanging additions on the menu.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Found this place for breakfast with our two young kids and we will be back! Food was delicious, my kids ate everything which is rare. And prices are lower than most brunch spots. We had the custom coffee/ tea drinks which were delicious. It's outdoors, but enclosed they have high chairs and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a nice ambiance with the fireplace too.
google avatar

Weston W.

Yelp
Went here for the first time and the flavors are amazing! Got the bacon egg and cheese and one with veggie bacon and both were delicious! The hasherol was great as well, we also tried the hungry bear coffee and it was a delight! Quick service and friendly staff and awesome outdoor vibe!
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this gem of a café! It's the kind of place you instantly want to become a regular at. The vibe is warm and welcoming, perfect for a cozy morning or a quick bite. I ordered the BEC breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese) and it was phenomenal--perfectly crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and melty cheese all tucked into a buttery, toasted bun. You can tell they use quality ingredients and care about what they're serving. Honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time. I also had a honey cinnamon latte and it was smooth, rich, and well-balanced--not too sweet. If you're a breakfast person (or just a coffee person), definitely check this place out. It's going to be hard not to come back every weekend.

Yelp
First time trying Good Measure and so glad we did! Considering the price of dining out these days, it is rare to find good pricing with yummy food and great service in one spot! We tried the California breakfast plate and the Flank steak and eggs plate and both were delicious! The harvest hash on the California plate was yummy and bacon was thick and crispy. I even liked the thinner waffle with crispy edges, instead of a typical toast on the side, And the steak was nicely seasoned and a perfect medium rare as hubby likes his steaks. Latte and coffee were on point as well. Would have ordered a strawberry matcha to go if it didn't get busy suddenly. Everyone who worked there were also so nice! It will definitely will be our hidden regular brunch spot in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Mae F.

Yelp
Found this place from fellow yelpers. Would have been 5 stars if they had our original order request of steak and eggs but they were out of steak. Other than that the service was good, the food was fabulous and different. The bacon was legit-thick and crispy. The harvest hash was my favorite with the over easy eggs. I love thw caramel fig latte. I would go back again just for that!
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
What an unsuspecting and adorable breakfast spot! I had the California breakfast and caramelized fig cold brew. It hit the spot for a classic breakfast with some modern twists! It was a very chill atmosphere and the service was great!
google avatar

A.J. W.

Yelp
This is the best brunch I've ever had. The SEC sandwich was perfect, no notes. Service was friendly and prompt while not too serious. Plenty of places to sit and the ambiance matched the service. Will absolutely come here again and recommend anyone give it a chance if you're looking for some great food!
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
We came here for breakfast on a random Wednesday morning and there was hardly anyone here (lots of seating). The atmosphere is cute and comfortable. Seating is all outdoors and it was a beautiful July morning. There are umbrellas for shade so it was very nice sitting outside. The food is amazing and the service is great. The prices are super reasonable for the quality of food you get. We loved it overall and would definitely come back!
google avatar

Nani L.

Yelp
Service is always amazing. The staff are so nice and the food is awesome. Vibes are always chill since it look like an alley but we love this place!
google avatar

Yelp
The cutest spot in North Park. I love the casual outdoor dining. The decor is so fun and unique. Amazing breakfast options whether u want sweet or savory. I often come for both! The coffee and matcha are also delish. U rly can't go wrong picking anything on the menu A+ service all around. The staff is super friendly and love talking about the space and the neighborhood.

Kony T.

Yelp
The owner is so sweet and accommodating. Amazing food, had a great egg bacon sandwich and hash. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Daria G.

Yelp
SO GOOD, I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE!! Not only did we have the most delicious SEC (Sausage, Egg, Cheese) sandwich, but we had a perfect strawberry matcha. there is a lovely outdoor area to sit and enjoy everything. Everyone there was so nice and i'm so sad I didn't catch the names of the people who helped us, but HUGEE shoutout to them!! Thank you, we will definitely be back for more yummy food and bevs
google avatar

Jaime C.

Yelp
I'm rating this as 5 stars as I do not want to mess up their reputation by rating it lower, but I went last Friday the 18TH and I ordered a cortado, they served it in what seemed to be an insulated cup, either their espresso temp was way too high or they over steamed the oatmilk way too much (yet the milk wasn't silky or foamy just watery) and I burnt my mouth pretty bad and you can see the steam coming off the cup for quite a while I didn't even come close to finishing because of it, my wife did enjoy her food as she got the chilaquiles, I however got the American breakfast and it was pretty bland and basic and the waffles had little to no good taste at all. This place has a lot of potential taking over the old ATW spot so I hope they can polish their imperfections sooner than later.
google avatar

Kaitlyn O.

Yelp
Cutest spot ever!! Off the street, so you have to look behind the laundry mat. Food is amazing and everyone that works there is super friendly.

Grayson A.

Yelp
The food was absolutely fantastic, reasonably priced, good portion. Service was excellent and friendly! Tucked away a bit behind the laundromat so don't get discouraged when you miss it from the street view. Very cute atmosphere !
google avatar

Jake A.

Yelp
Awesome hospitality, delicious coffee, and yummy breakfast sandwiches in a tucked away spot. Love this place! The people who work here are awesome!

Peyton B.

Yelp
What a wonderful little spot!! A bit of a hole in the wall but super easy to find. Lovely staff as well very conversational with super positive vibes! And the food was fanfuckingtastic!!

Kimberly E.

Yelp
This place is picture perfect. They had high chairs for the kids, board games for all and great shaded outdoor seating. unfortunately the food and drinks we ordered was disappointing. We ordered açaí bowls which looked more like soup and tasted like baby food. The iced coffee, latte, and strawberry matcha we ordered were all substandard and not worth finishing. I'm sad to say because the ambience of this place was perfect.

Chloe C.

Yelp
Good Measure is such a gem. The setting is adorable colorful, mid-century modern vibes but still super relaxed and fun. The service is always great, it just feels easy, like you're hanging out with friends. The food is seriously delicious. I still think about the banana bread all the time. I'm not even a big waffle person, but their waffles completely changed my mind. Another time I had the breakfast sandwich and it was amazing too. Everything I've had has been so good. Can't wait to keep coming back.

Boss L.

Yelp
Food was bad, undercooked eggs, cardboard-like waffles, no flavor on any of our three entrees.

Bri T.

Yelp
Super cute spot with friendly staff and great food. Come early there is limited seating.

Garrett D.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast option in North Park. Banana Split waffle and Spring Onion fritter sandwich were super high quality. Side of Bacon was crispy and perfect. Excellent value too. Vanilla cold brew was huge and yummy.

Danny S.

Yelp
Went on a colder morning but the heaters on the patio made it so cozy and welcoming! Their breakfast sandwiches are insanely good and the guava jam on the banana bread made me rethink if any other banana bread is worthy. The friendly service and delicious food will have me coming back for sure.
