Cafe-restaurant with vintage touches and an eclectic menu including home-smoked and cured produce.
"All we know about our neighbours is that they really enjoy listening to LMFAO at 11pm on weeknights, but you won’t find any of that funny business at Good Neighbour. This wine bar on Camberwell Church Street has charcuterie, small plates like beef shin tortelloni and crispy cod cheeks, and enough candlelight to make for a super romantic date night and significant fire hazard. There’s also a quiet terrace out back for that rare warm evening." - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver, Sinead Cranna
"When we were briefly and somewhat misguidedly put in charge of a friend’s Extremely Cool, Late-Teens Cousin, we took them to Good Neighbour. This is a Tooting neighbourhood wine bar that’s two parts cosy and one part trendy. Think great, creative small plates, plenty of exposed brick, and a buzzy counter that is perfect for a little quality time with a bottle of natural red. The wine list changes regularly but know that there’s plenty of old world, new world, and so-good-can-pretend-the-world-does-not-exist options. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver, Daisy Meager, Sinead Cranna
"Being the selfless individuals we are, we’d like to volunteer to be Good Neighbour’s good neighbour. A five-minute walk from Tooting Broadway station, this place is perfect when you’re in the mood for a bit of this and a bit of that. Read: the small plates are excellent and everything on the menu has a Mediterranean feel that will go great with a spritz. Although the menu changes seasonally, our game plan here is to go with a couple of our favourite friends—a.k.a. people we can trust not to hog the fried feta with honey—and order every single one of the sharing plates. Plus, thanks to the exposed brick and buzzy counter, Good Neighbour screams big third date potential. The wine list is a real winner too." - Rianne Shlebak, Heidi Lauth Beasley
"Being the selfless individuals that we are, we’d like to volunteer to be Good Neighbour’s good neighbour. We’ll keep the music down and they can pop round to borrow some sugar any time they want if we’re able to have easy access to their gorgonzola and walnut gnocchi.
