"Good Neighbour is like the family department store you always wished existed. That is, if you were always on the lookout for hip, cool, high-end, beautifully designed, produced and packaged goods. Two floors of a carefully curated selection of clothing and accessories, cosmetics and fragrances, kids’ clothing, jewellery, gourmet food items, housewares and more. Don’t let “curated” scare you off – the shop is not just a few tastefully displayed items – both floors are filled with a wide variety of everything that you you’re looking for and things you didn’t know you were looking for! On more than one occasion I’ve been able to drop into the shop and come away with a fun, cool and unique gift. They’ve also partnered with the Drake General Store to bring some “west end” into the east end. Definitely worth checking out." - Rob Fujimoto

One of my favourite spots to pick up men’s wear, clothes for my kids and curated household goods like candles, decorations, etc. good variety of international men’s clothing brands and very helpful owner. Some days my whole wardrobe is from Good neighbour, because it looks great, I got to try it on at the shop and proximity+quality = easy win. My kids adored some bamboo pajamas I got from there, and my wife is a fan too. Staff are always friendly and helpful. All around 100%

The store definitely has a pretty ambience and aesthetic to it but I found it to be very over priced. Along with that, I agree with another review I found that the floor workers do seem to follow you around closely (even if that wasn’t their intention… it’s how it felt as a customer). Maybe it’s simply because they have so much staff for the size of the store but I felt like I didn’t really have space to just look around without someone being right close by. It was definitely an odd experience.
Totally could just be how I felt but I didn’t leave feeling the greatest — but overall it’s a pretty store.

I think for the very first time I’ve been racially profiled while shopping… this was my very first visit here and I just needed to pick up a couple of things to complete a gift basket and I was rudely looked at when I asked a question by one staff member in particular. than while I was upstairs shopping the SA was helpful but once I picked up products she was very quick to ask me if she can leave it at the cash which was a bit weird as the items were small and not heavy and the cash is all the way down stairs. Finally when I was done looking around I walked up to the cash with nothing in hand and that same employee who gave me a rude look was there and once again gave me a disgusting face that made me uncomfortable , I just wanted to get out of there asap. I explained that a SA left my items here and pointed and she just says “oh” out loud and not much else very dry and unwelcoming
I’m not sure if she was just straight racist or if she was judging me because I wasn’t wearing expensive clothing. Mind you I just came from work and I was wearing today pants and winter puffer jacket. Very disappointed that this happened, really nice items are sold here but I won’t be supporting this small business anymore

Very cool store with what looks like a fantastic swimsuit selection on their website… but an FYI - they have none in store at their Leslieville location.

Loved the entire shop. It looks small on the outside but it is very deceiving. I had no idea how big it was and how many departments they have: ladies and men's wear, children's wear, toys, home decor, cards, candles and so much more.
Very unique items that separate this store from many others.

The store itself is very nice in the sense that they have a lot of beautiful products, a large variety of items, and it's well organized and laid out. I love that they have a lot of niche brands that are hard to find it other spaces . I also like that they have a large variety of items, everything from clothing to food to kids stuff. My one issue is that I sometimes find the same item I would at another independent store, and at Good Neighbor, the price is at least $5 more for the same item .
I understand it for them being independent stores, but sometimes it feels like I'm paying more for the atmosphere and brand than for the actual item .
The staff are.. okay, in terms of helpfulness and can be a little bit cold.
Also, it is a little bit concerning in terms of the accessibility of the store itself, which limits a lot of visits.

Great store with unique items. Perfect spot to find a gift for pretty much anyone! I have bought my son (2.5) quite a few items from here and they always are complimented and very well made.
Their sales can be quite good and I would definitely recommend checking that section on the website.
Ordered for in-store pickup many times and it is super fast and they will hold the item no problem (if you can’t make it there for a bit).
Removing one star only for the fact that the price points are probably out of reach for the average shopper - but everything I’ve purchased sale or full price has been great.

You make an effort to support local business and do your best to be a “Good Neighbour” but I think this store forgot what their name is because the attitude and terrible customer service we experienced was so dismissive and unhelpful that, really, they should actually be called Bad Neighbour.
If you’re the owner of this store, check in with your staff. When a simple request is made that really costs nothing to just help out a customer gets rejected with an attitude of the equivalent of a Little Britain Show sketch “computer says no”, you almost have to laugh at it.
