Yum!!! This place is so cute and the food absolutely hit the spot. I got a breakfast plate with bacon and shared the pancake. The pancake was out of this world! I’m going to definitely treat myself to that one again soon. :) The waitress was very attentive and sweet, so I have to say service was great. It is a small space but they make the most of it. When we came in early in the morning on a Wednesday it was empty but by the time we left, all the tables were full! That’s how you know it’s good. I can’t wait to go back!

Went to this diner on a Sunday with a friend and had about a 30-minute wait. Thankfully, they have a setup with the coffee shop next door, so we didn’t have to stand in the cold. The food was good overall, but I liked my friend’s meal more than mine. She had a burger hash with pancakes, which was way more exciting than my basic burger and tater tots. The real star of the show was the milkshake. The peach cobbler milkshake was amazing, and they have some really creative options. I’d definitely recommend this diner. I just think I ordered the wrong thing.

From start to finish, the entire experience was wonderful: • The food was great. • The service was great and very attentive. • The atmosphere was great, offering a comfortable and welcoming vibe. Absolutely wonderful breakfast! Small, homey, comfortable diner with wood floors and kitschy signage. Super wait staff, very efficient and friendly. Our food was delicious! 👍 The pancake is truly cake size! Avacado toast was great! Texture, flavor, yum!

Tucked away in a charming neighborhood between Bed-Stuy and Brownsville is this jewel of a place. Chili had just the right balance of flava, smoke, and heat. Fried mushrooms beat the pants off of typical fried appetizers. A real crispy umami bomb. They were playing heavy Motown. Don't know which was better, the food or the music. Worth an extended journey!

I am a loyal customer of Good Ol Days! ❤️💯🙌🏾 I’ve eaten their delicious food nothing less than 20+ times. Do yourself a favor and please don’t listen to folks who don’t know. 🙏🏽 It’s all about the senses and amazing, full bodied flavors you get when you come here! Some of my fave items are the mouth watering chopped cheese fries (get the add on jalapeños!) that are great with crumbled turkey or beef; the avocado blt, anything with the fish such as the Hart and Sole; and the pancakes. My teenage son gets the chicken tenders with fries or the Bedford Burger regularly and never complains that he’s still hungry. The table service always comes with a smile and positive energy despite the fast paced and jam packed brunch service. Please be patient on a weekend morning cause these folks really put their all into providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere and going the extra mile to meet your food preferences! I’m absolutely so grateful for a homey, neighborhood diner like Good Ol days. There’s honestly no other place in this restaurant category, that tastes this good! If you don’t like what they’ve got, then you just don’t like down home family style food period! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Amended Review: Came for Sunday brunch with my brother. Ordered a black coffee, a cereal muffin, a Diet Coke, and the biscuits and gravy. The coffee is their own blend, which I really enjoyed. The cereal muffin, which I hadn’t heard of before, was great. Really delicious and well made. Though the menu is on the more expensive side for the area, there is a wide range of options and the food was tasty. My brother who had the biscuits and gravy really enjoyed what he had. Though the portion size felt small to me, he said it was average, and was happy with it. The staff was courteous and responsive. We had no wait for a table, despite the space, and tables, being small. Review amended on 3/10/26 for a more elaborated explanation of experience. Original Review: Came for Sunday brunch. Tables are small and super close together. Pretty interesting menu, but the serving sizes were small, and all the prices are way too expensive. Good coffee and muffin - and we were seated pretty quickly, but just overall it was a lacking experience.

Over the years I've lived in Bed-Stuy, this place has seen many changes. Some successes, some failures, but this past Tuesday, my curiosity got the better of me and I made the decision to stop in for breakfast. First of all, breakfast on weekdays needs more love. The experience feels more laid-back and intimate without the weekend brunch chaos. Good Ol Days Diner/Winfield's Diner is spacious and welcoming and has an abundance of natural light. The artwork is a hybrid of a modern Black history museum and a juke joint from the 1970s. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive and we were seated right away. The Bacon Bacon Egg and Cheese was so good. It included "smash browns," a clever combination of hash browns and tater tots that were just mashed enough to resemble a comforting pile of potatoes. I will most certainly return because it's in the neighborhood and the prices are reasonable. I hope this one endures because it has a lot of potential to become a mainstay.

Came here with my daughter and friend and had horrible service. Chalked it up to a one off experience, then my mom had the exact same experience the following day. Server acted like it was an inconvenience when we tried to order things. Often had to order and remind them multiple times for something very basic.

What a nice find! A friend and I were looking for a diner to grab brunch on Thanksgiving. This was definitely a level up. I had their yummy breakfast platter, she had their amazing chicken sandwich, and I brought home a bacon egg and cheese, all of which were tasty and had interesting flavor combinations. The waitstaff was very nice and flexible about changing things around in their combination plates. It had a lot of cool retro diner-esque design features.

Service was excellent! Food was delicious. Beautiful presentation of a plate. I loved the decor and ambiance. Great place to go sit eat and chill. Very welcoming staff. I'll definitely visit again.

Delicious breakfast! I thought the pancake was dry and needed a lot of syrup but everything else we had was great and the service was very kind, and the food came out quickly. The space is a bit small so expect to wait on the weekends.

I needed a spot to have a small celebration for a family members grad party for brunch, and all I knew was that this spot was local/Black owned, it had outdoor space, great service and good food! I hit up the owner and he made this a seamless experience for me. Super communicative, flexible and the prefix menu he developed was perfect! The price was fair and the day went off with out any issues. Shoutout to Jeff and staff at the Good ol' days diner. Go here!!!

enjoy coming to this diner. A cute, small quant place to enjoy nice dining. They also have a patio in the back. I ordered their breakfast sandwich and homemade fries. And it was very delicious. I kept craving for more. The service was excellent and the staff there were very friendly. I definitely recommend groove at Good Ol Days Dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Randomly found this hidden gem & I seriously wanted to gatekeep. But they deserve their flowers fr!! I'm obsessed with their pancakes in the griddle stack combo!! And the smash browns???? CHEF'S KISS. I'm definitely going to start coming here more regularly. I love me a lil crispy crunchy moment and you get all of that and more with the smash browns. Cause they fry the smash browns with peppers. Then it's topped with tomatoes and green onions. Everything I've ever wanted in a bite! Seasonal depression? WHERE? I couldn't wait to go to GOD-Winfield's Diner, and I finally got the chance to go to celebrate a friend. There know that there is a wait, particularly on the weekends. Nevertheless, it's worth it. Even better, it's so close to home! My friend kept saying that the fact that the diner is so busy, the food has to be fresh. Not only was the food super fresh, everything was so well seasoned and DEEEEE-LICIOUS! Let me backtrack... The interior is really cute and sort of gives that country home vibe but there's so much to see on the walls. We chose to eat outside so we could talk, because the noise level was a little high inside. The backyard space was so chill and nice. We were able to hear one another, but also enjoy the music. They played a lot of 70s soul music, which was enjoyable for Sunday afternoon. The art installations on the outside walls were funky and creative. Now back to the food. I ordered a lemonade, mint drink that was really ref and tasteful and not over saturated with sweetness like most lemonades. My friend ordered onion rings and chicken fingers. The onion rings were huge, homemade crunchy deliciousness. Initially, my homegirl ordered the chipotle sauce for her onion rings, but found the spice to be too much for her, so she opted for tartar sauce. Spice doesn't affect me the way it affects a lot of people and I was fine with either. I ordered the bacon Chicken, ranch salad, because I'm trying to be more mindful lol. It was so so so so so good. The chicken had a little kick, and the decision to use baby spinach was perfect. The salad was somewhat delicate, but at the same time hearty. The only thing that will keep me from walking over to this diner weekly are my dietary goals. There are way too many menu items that I want to try, but I must pace myself. But all of you, eat your hearts out!

A nice neighborhood spot! For the food, I had the patty melt, and while it was tasty, I wish it was a little fresher and had more flavor. However the service was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed without being overbearing. It really added to the overall warmth of the experience, and you could tell they genuinely care about their customers. The ambiance was exactly what you'd expect from a charming, no-frills neighborhood diner. It was cozy, inviting, and had that old-school Brooklyn charm that made it a nice spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal.

Never a miss here at the new Winfield's.

The food was delicious and the staff were all very helpful and kind. Went on a Saturday and we were seated right away, highly recommend if you're staying in the Bedstuy area.

Firstly, got seated right away at 10am on a Sunday morning, and was greeted warmly by one of the young women behind the counter. THE COFFEE? Hot and delicious, with hints of cinnamon. 10/10. Ordered the "cake sized" pancake. Was worried it'd be too big, but alas it was perfectly sized, a little crispy on the edges (which i like) and moist inside. Side of sausage was cooked perfectly. Wonderful vibe, attentive service, and great food. Couldn't ask for more! My daughter just moved to Bed-Stuy and we will be back for lunch!

The food is good and flavorful. The menu options are limited but diverse. The service is quick considering how busy breakfast and lunch can be sometimes. The staff is friendly and polite. The prices are reasonable. The food portions are worth the price. The owner is usually present. He is polite, engaging and personable. The restaurant is small with "BRE", Big Restaurant Energy. I' have added them to my list of places to eat at in Brooklyn, NY.

Winfields is what Bedstuy needed. Upon walking in you see amazing, meaningful artwork through and throughout. I was taken care of by two amazing servers and not to mention the chef came out to see if everything tasted good. Food was absolutely on point. Griddle stack has eggs, bacon, cheese between two fluffy griddle cakes served with syrup...chefs kiss. Also I was a fan of the hashbrowns which were perfectly seasoned and crispy. You'll want to visit this gem.

Good music playlist, fast service, polite staff and also glad to have a restaurant in New York City open before 9am is a rarity. The food was good, a little salty. But still very good diner food. Definitely adding it as breakfast spot for the future.

Took my order to go and was greeted very warmly by the staff. I Got the Bacon Bacon Egg and Cheese; it did not disappoint at all and came with "Smash Browns," a sort of tater tot/hash brown mix. As a potato lover and transplant of nearly a decade originally from the south, I've seen more skillet potatoes than hash browns when it comes to breakfast potatoes in this area, so the Smash Browns were v refreshing. Not to mention, the indoor dining area is very cozy and the place is Black-owned and operated. Having not looked at the menu prior, the only thing I was missing was a matcha or a fresh juice, but the staff was very humorous when I asked about the drink options making my experience an 11/10.

Long wait times here on weekends - I guess that means plenty of time to write a Yelp review! The seating process is very confusing and it doesn't seem like the staff are very organized for the most part, although the service was very friendly overall. Don't come hungry on weekends, it took over 45 mins after ordering to actually get our food. Granted the staff warned us the kitchen was slow so I guess that one's on us. They also offered to comp us a muffin which was much appreciated. Fire alarm went off due to smoke from the kitchen which would've been an extremely annoying and headache inducing, but the staff took it with great humor and was quite apologetic. Onto the food itself - after almost an hour of waiting, we got chicken sandwiches, grits and eggs. The food was decent but not spectacular. Bit of a letdown after such a long wait, and the price is not cheap either ($15-20 per entree).

The food is good , no substitutions, you order what's on the menu. The service is exceptional and a nice a relaxing space, I'm a fan on the avocado BLT with sweet potato fries. But THE PANCAKE is good too when I'm feeling greedy. It's not called THE PANCAKE for no reason lol

I have found my new neighborhood go-to breakfast spot and it's all thanks to this incredible breakfast platter. The breakfast platter was never a dish I thought twice about. They usually just do the job but this one sets a new standard for me. The portions are perfect to where it's filling but not overwhelming. The crispy hash topped with fresh salsa is what really does it for me. It is crispy, savory and fresh. Trust me! You've got to try it. Game changer.

Walked in here to try breakfast on a leisure walk. Food: 3/5 I ordered the fried catfish and grits. The fried catfish was seasoned well, I'd would have liked the grits to be a bit more flavorful.. they were creamy but lacked butter but nonetheless decent. I was given some of their specialty lemonade I believe I forgot the name but it was BOMB! I'd like to go back and try something else to see how they whip it up. Ambiance: 5/5 I was welcomed by beautiful art work of icons & classics at that. I enjoyed the vibe inside as I'm sure you all will too. They do have outdoor seating for larger parties which is great for Sundays =family days or gatherings. Service: 3/5 Service was okay I would have like them to be more attentive. I only saw my waiter once after him bringing my food. I wasn't able to flag him down so I had to get up and get my own utensils and it wasnt crowded so yea. This place is very nice and has comfortable vibe which I love I hope they continue to improve and implement the tips to better their service. Do try if you're in the neighborhood if you enjoy good comfort food!

Avoiding all brunches due to a Dry January, I ended up at the perfect place for my first brunch of the year; right on Patchen. Brunch in Brooklyn will always remind me of chicken & waffles, sweet meeting savory, eclectic ambience and flavors elevated but still reminding you of home. Winfield's Diner hit the spot this past Saturday around noon without reservations which I would highly recommend. Quaint with cute dinner decor and extremely pleasant staff. They didn't have a cocktail menu, but of course they had coffee, teas and lemonades to start. My party or 4 ordered an array of different things from chicken & waffles, their version of a chopped cheese, a Caesar salad and chicken strips to go. I ordered the French toast which I expected to be crunchier on the outside with a side of smashed browns and sausage links. I left nothing behind; there is definitely something to be said about food that taste homemade!!! French toast was soft, sweet and filling. Smashed brown could use less of the scallion garnish but seasoned so well that I did NOT need ketchup. And the sausages reminded me of a weekend morning in my house calm and relaxed vibes. I didn't taste anyone's food; mine was so good. You know when you order thee perfect thing (ifykyk). Best first brunch of the year, parked across the street and the prices were decent. 5/5 I would highly recommend

Forgot to take a picture cause I was hungry and the food was delicious. I bought the mushroom chips on the side. I did not want bacon and I didn't have an option to take that off. I'm also glad I bought the mushrooms on the side because I really enjoyed them and I didn't want a little bit to go with my platter I also wasn't sure if it was the same type of mushroom dish. I asked for steamed oat milk in my coffee. It didn't look like it was put in but the coffee tasted really good any way. The sweet potato option for breakfast was really good idea. I enjoyed that.

Perfect little diner in bedstuy. I had such a craving for pancakes on a rainy january morning, and found this great little spot toward east bedstuy. The ambiance is really cute, its small and cozy with lots of retro decor on the walls and classic r&b songs playing. The menu is straight forward and has plenty of diner classics: burgers and fries, soup, breakfast plates, and pancakes. I ordered the pan-cake, a singular cake with the depth of 2-3 pancakes. It smelled of vanilla once it got to the table and was topped with blueberry whipped cream and a side of syrup. This hit the spot: the pancake was fluffy and light inside, but buttery and had a light crust on the outside. The whipped cream was amazing and not overly sweet. This was a great treat and one I will be coming back for again

This is a phenomenal slice of everything right! I am obsessed with "The Winfield" Sandwich, it never misses , presentation, taste , freshness ! The service and charm here have a personal & elevated touch! Do yourself a favor put Good Ol Days on your "Must" list!

I love this place. I've only been a small handful of times and always order the same thing, but it's consistently tasty. Service is great (friendly and attentive without constantly in your face) and the vibe is very chill even on an incredibly busy day.

I really really want this place to be good because we live so close. But there are a lot of things that need to be improved. A lot of the food tastes like it's frozen. The hash browns have little peppers in the them - not sure why. The fried chicken sandwich is too salty. It should seasoned better using less salt. Everything is too greasy. I just wish it was good solid diner food.

The Good: So the food was okay, but I can't see myself returning. I had the Pan-Cake (a huge single pancake), and my wife had the Griddle Chick ( twobsilver dollar pancakes with fried chicken breast, smash browns and slaw). The pancake was okay. The chicken was decent as well. The star of the show was the Smash Browns although after eating them I felt I felt like I ate too much grease. The Bad: 1) My coffee was cold. (It was removed by the server) 2) Only one server, so when needed help I had to wait just to make my request. Then my requests were taking longer than I liked to be fulfilled so it didn't make for a great overall experience. 3) The server seems like she didn't want to be there. She was pleasant but not joyous.

This was one of the best burger, fries, and coffee combos I've had in a while. Wow. Everything was seasoned perfect and just went together so well. Even the coffee didn't need any milk or sugar, it was really good as is. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great lunch

The restaurant is located in a nice quaint building with outdoor seating. The service was superb. Our server provided great insight into the food menu. We each had a different meal and everyone enjoyed their food. I highly recommend Good Ol Days.

A lovely cast of warming people in this establishment. Greeted with hellos and the walls create a step back into time. I got the chicken sandwich cooked fully and a great bite of Cole slaw chicken with a hint of mayo was perfect. One of my secret places to enjoy a good chicken sandwich in my lonesome.

Support this business! If you're having a bad day, this place will definitely cheer you up. Saw people singing and dancing to the music and you can't help but smile. The ambiance is so chill. Food is really good and so is their coffee. The owner walks around and helps out and I will definitely remember this place for the future.

I LOVE everything about Winfield's. Steeped in Brooklyn history it offers a nostalgic ambiance and a diverse menu. When I walked in the first thing i noticed were the old photos of the neighborhood from the 80s and 90s. The classic diner fare, coupled with a touch of local flavor, creates a charming dining experience. The friendly staff and super chill vibes enhance the overall appeal. Overall, Winfield's Diner provides a delightful journey into Brooklyn's culinary and cultural past.

It's was a very nice place to have lunch. I would recommend it. The food was really good so we went back. The green ice tea I also recommend.

Service was quick. Nice decor and ambiance. Very clean, cups and silverware no water stains. Was going to order breakfast platter but also wanted pancakes waitress suggested to just order pancakes and add eggs b/c meat was included (it's 2.50 extra as the menu states). I was craving pancakes but they were not "regular" pancakes definitely tasted like a pumpkin spice flavored or something with a spice. Wish it was communicated before ordering as I would have never ordered them and kept just the platter. They were okay had the nice crispy edges but the spice was overwhelming after a while. Just a regular ol breakfast if you're looking for something simple and straight to the point I'd suggest. I loved that you could just scan a QR code and pay and don't have to wait for the waitress to go back and forth. Would go back to maybe try something else

Please stop by and patronize! Black owned and great food. The staff makes you feel at home. Very professional and kind. I'll definitely be returning. The diner is a good size and plenty of seating.

Really want to like this place. Our second time here we waited a half hour for a table to open up and a full 55 minutes for our food to arrive after ordering. Please turn off your UberEats/GrubHub orders and stop seating people if you don't have the capacity in the kitchen. Your staff is lovely and clearly overworked. Music is good, coffee is good, food was cold.
