The moment I stepped in I noticed how nice restored 100 year old wood floor is now, with the hand finished table tops, it really gives a real cool vibe. The mead is delicious and always freshly in circulation. I suggest anyone come by one the weekends . Or even on a Sunday. Bring your games, puzzles friends and so on. There is plenty of room to relax.

Really enjoyed the mix of great and interesting people this place has brought out to the Esco downtown scene. The meads are a great and tasty offering to the norm of bars and breweries on the main drag. Staff are always friendly and the owner always has an interesting story to tell. They have started having more live entertainment, which helps keep Grand alive. Glad Good Omen is here, I'll be back many times.

Google
These guys have been working for a long time to perfect their mead and it shows. Every mead they have is great, not too sweet or dry, and not so fruity that it drowns out the honey flavor. Check them out!

Amazing variety of meads, dry and sweet. Fun atmosphere. Excellent service. Good to the last drop!

Went there for a networking meeting, not quite sure about what mead was and what it tasted like, I tried one of their flights and that was a good surprise. It was different, like midway between wine and hard alcohol when iy comes to the taste. Trying their flights is a good way to get introduced to mead.

First time trying these guys, I haven’t even left yet and I felt I needed to write a review. Their mead is beyond fantastic!! Our favorites are the Yum, Hot Tropics (if you like spicy), Coffee Break, the Raspberry Chocolate (which pairs well with the Yum BTW). We didn’t taste any we didn’t really, really like, but those are our favorites so far!

Cinco de Mayo wrestling event was super fun- the staff is nice too :) this is a really good new bar for Escondido!!! seems art friendly and people friendly and thats what matters to me.

Google
This is a fun spot and it's a regular thing to see people dancing on the sidewalk when they're open! My shop, Humble Heart Vintage Store & Boutique, is 2 doors down and we always enjoy the good vibes!

Yelp
I have been waiting for what feels like years for this place to open, and was super excited when passing by, to see it open. We popped flipped around, found parking and popped in! Surprisingly it was empty, there were 2 people talking by the exit and 2 people behind the bar. This place was massive inside and looks awesome! Definitely set up to have a fun Friday or Saturday night with live music etc. At the bar, we grabbed a menu, and asked for some recommendations... most meadery's I have been to have been overly friendly, giving recommendations and being very personable, this place it felt like they were more bothered that customers were there. When we did pick our flight to start with, we asked if there should be any order in which to drink them... very commonly there are some palate wreckers out there. We got the "drink them however you want to" sort of answer. Being the only patrons at the time, the interaction was a bit lackluster, which would have been a bit more overlooked if any of the meads which we tried, were good. Out of the flight, there was not a single one I would re-visit, we were not asked if we were enjoying any of the meads, or checked in on. Paid, Left, Done, such a shame as both my wife and I really enjoy Mead and this place is so close to our house!

Yelp
Great meadery located in downtown Escondido, they have excellent meads. It was our first time here, they had a very chill atmosphere, the lighting made it hard to see the menu or take pictures as it was kind of flashy. We were impressed with most of the meads, they were unfortunately out of a lot of meads we wanted to try on the menu, but we still ended up with a tasty flight. My favorite was the Juneshine Yumberry and the NYX which was a poppy seed honey mead, both were very flavorful and had just the right amount of sweetness. We will be back for more.

Yelp
We've walked past this place several times and kept meaning to go- so today was the day. Tried a mead flight- stuck with the Sour as the best option, very interesting and different meads that had a taste I didn't expect. Still early stages for the bar- the back area is still under construction. Great service, we were able to get tasters before buying a full pour, and we were able to take our time and chat and enjoy the space. Definitely looking forward to this place cementing their spot on Grand.

Yelp
Been coming to this place since COVID-19 started. The mead here is good & the vibe is chill too. Lots of crazy & good options of mead & the staff is super friendly here. Best part is I don't live far from the place.

Yelp
Great meadery located in the heart of downtown Escondido. Great selection and variety for an underserved alcoholic beverage that has yet to set a foothold in San Diego. I'm glad that they're here! Show them your support and check them out. Great atmosphere, friendly faces, and overall great experience. Live music and venue/event nights posted on their social media.

Yelp
I am not a mead person but come here for the wine. Recommend they get actual wine glasses and pours more like a taster than a full glass; but otherwise nice to have on Grand.

Laura B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my first visit. Loved the band, Dirty Confetti, really liked Brian, the owner, and his staff and the building is super cool

Angela M.

Yelp
Wonderful meadery ran by really great people. Mead was really good, I recommend Bee Love.

Zachary D.

Yelp
Brand new to the block. If you like strong mead/wine you'll love this place. Get some flights sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. They are not done with the place but they are open for business. Grand in Escondido is an awesome place and I hope this is a start to a "grand" rebuilding of the area.

Bill P.

Yelp
Solid mead in this cool location right in the middle of downtown Escondido. I went with my budfy Eric W. And we both got flights, three was many to choose from. They were all goodcexcrpt for one the cucumber mint was a little of but they were kind enough to exchange it for me. I really liked the different tastes and the staff was chill. Flights are $12.00 bucks and you get 5 tasters. I can't remember all the names but the blueberry, orange mimosa and cherry were really good. Just go and see for your self. They are open Thursday -Sun 5:00-10:00 pm.

Sheeva T.

Yelp
Gorgeous long list of carefully crafted meads. They also offer some hard cider and non-mead beverages! The flight looked cool! I'll have to branch out from the most simple honeysuckle essence meat to trying the flight!

Cassandra R.

Yelp
What a gem. Finally found them open (still under construction) the other night and got a tasting flight. I don't care for honey or mead as a general rule but I loved every single thing on the menu. Got to chat with the owner and the staff during a brief lull in counter walk-ups and really like the culture and vibe they're putting together there as well as the drink. Very much looking forward to becoming a regular.

Yelp
This place has AMAZING potential. I've been waiting for this place to open for so long. I understand they had some difficulty with the city letting them open. So I'll give them that. The mead was decent (first time having mead so I don't have anything to compare it to). The service is pretty rough. They're still getting off the ground so it's somewhat empty. So it makes it even more obvious when the bartenders are seemingly so disinterested in being there. If they get some bands in there, some better bartenders, and some life then I'll 100% revise my review. Go to Chick-fil-A or a Nashville bar or a local winery (or all 3) to get some service hints. People come for experience and memories, they don't just come for the product. I can get product at a grocery store. I can't get experience.

Dr ED M.

Yelp
Awesome place its in construction I like more sweet MEAD but these ones are RAW. Very colorful. I enjoyed it but for sure not for beginners.

Oren P.

Yelp
In addition to offering mead, this place is the venue for various bands, "women's night out" all male (strip) dance and drag "shows". I came on a Sunday evening for live salsa and bachata music and dancing. The dance floor is fairly big but the acoustics are not very good. There is a lot of visible ceiling ducts and vents but either they don't run their A/C or it doesn't work; the place is hot and humid - especially for anyone dancing. The only places anyone can feel cool air blowing inside is above the shared sinks for hand washing in the restroom area. There are some tables right in front outside on the street and a back door to a public parking lot if you need somewhere to cool down. There is one designated women's restroom with its own mirror, sink and toilet; one designated men's restroom with its own mirror, sink, toilet, and urinal; three "all gender" restrooms, each with just a toilet inside; and a shared common area with sinks and paper towels (while they last). Sadly, least remarkable or memorable about this place is their mead - with the bands and shows they host drawing far more people....

Yelp
This is our favorite meadery to date! My boyfriend started brewing his own mead (pandemic hobbies, am I right?) so we both were excited to visit this meadery. It actually came recommended from a meadery we had visited the day before! We both got a flight and were able to taste ten of their offerings. Our favorites were the beets mead, sessions, and the devil's kiss. There is a great story behind the devil's kiss! The woman who served us was super knowledgeable and nice so our experience was great! We really liked this meadery because their flavors are super unique and just really well balanced! We took three bottles home and even got a super cute tote bag! We will visit this place again the next time we are in the area!

Lindsey H.

Yelp
This place is really fun. My husband and I each got a flight and loved everything we tasted. We will definitely be back! Delicious!

Kacie B.

Yelp
Super excited for this to open! Very cool location and space. Seems like they are still building. It was very quiet and the bartender and owner were nice. Nothing crazy. I hope it gets better but I wouldn't bring anyone here until there is an event or they have completed the set up! Hope it works out because it would be great!!

Sara W.

Yelp
Wonderful place. I attended one of their famous drag brunches with my kids and we all absolutely loved it! The service was great, the entertainment fabulous, the mead/mimosas super delicious (mead is all self brewed and they have many flavors to try). What a fun way to spend a Sunday! Would totally recommend!

Don H.

Yelp
Some of the best mead you will ever have. If you've never tried mead, you are missing out. I enjoy it over any other spirit. There are a few other meadaries in north county, but none are like this. Good people, great atmosphere, and better mead.

Paula G.

Yelp
I just loved this place, good food and good service. I'd give it 5 starts but the environment wasn't the best, I might have gone on a wrong day . Overall this is a must try!

Yelp
Was great to see Good Omen open last night...really livens up the strip! Really looking forward to their big grand opening (March 18th I think it is)!

Mario V.

Yelp
Online says they are open certain hours showed up to a closed door. Called and asked about the hours for the owner to acknowledge the hours posted online are not accurate and still has not fixed them. Oh

Adriana A.

Yelp
Amazing mead the owners are so nice and friendly. Definitely a place to go to when you are checking out downtown Escondido

Eric W.

Yelp
I picked up 2x bottles of the Eden Mead, Outstanding. I'm a mead enthusiast and can say this stuff is legit. They offer both carbonated and non-carbonated, only tried the non-carbonated. I'm really looking forward to them bottling more of this style. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. The owner spent about 15 minutes explaining the various meads he makes. I highly recommend anyone that enjoys mead or has never tired to check this place out. There are several meaderies in SD and Good Omen is now one of my top 2. The outdoor setup is cool and would be a great place to chill and sip a couple flights. I will be back for sure.

Makaila K.

Yelp
This place is so awesome, my friend and I have been coming for a few weeks now and we plan to continue coming weekly! The customer service is amazing and so open and friendly. The owner, Brian is so personable and helpful during your whole experience at this establishment. I highly recommend trying it out!!

Taylor G.

Yelp
I love it here! Brian is great, all the staff is great. The mead is truly unique. You have to try the mead-a-rita. Mead-mosa is a must too.
